Sushi was great! Unfortunately, card payments don't work here – but PayPal does. The Schlemmerblock (snack list) was also no longer valid due to a "change of tenant"… a shame, really…

Delicious food, friendly service, and elegant decor. My only wish would be for the dining room to be a bit more cozy. Also, surprisingly, the gourmet block wasn't accepted.

Disastrous experience - wrong food, incompetent service and disgusting children's menu! We ordered by phone, which was a challenge as communication was hardly possible due to our lack of knowledge of German. But that was just the beginning of the chaos. Instead of the chicken we ordered, we were delivered a vegetarian alternative - completely inedible and definitely not what we ordered. Instead of apologizing for the obvious mistake or offering a solution, we were blamed. No replacement, no compensation - just ignorance and unkindness. The service was subpar, and on top of that the menu isn't up to date online, causing further confusion. The children's menu was particularly bad. The meat was so disgusting that my daughter almost vomited! An absolute disgrace, especially for children. An absolutely disappointing experience - wrong food, poor service and zero customer focus. If you value quality, you should definitely not order here. We definitely never again!

We ate here for the first time today. It was incredibly good🤩. The dishes are prepared fresh, as well as appealing. Very large portions - value for money is right here👍🏻. What can still be improved: Ask every now and then, even if you're still eating, whether everything is okay! Our drinks were already empty, but we didn't have the opportunity to order more. Otherwise, super nice service staff and a nice atmosphere thanks to the furnishing concept.

What was feared has now happened. Had dinner there yesterday. I had coconut curry with chicken, my girlfriend had three different sushi rolls. Immediately after eating we started having stomach cramps. She tried mine (1 mini piece of chicken) and I tried a piece of sushi from hers. When we get home it starts with nausea and vomiting - FOOD POISONING. In addition, we even mentioned it to the waiter on site that we were very uncomfortable, but that there was something wrong with the food. We left a bunch of money there and this is the result. We weren't even approached in any other way. Just very disappointing and I'll call them again today before it gets to someone else.

The food and drinks are just exorbitantly delicious.

First of all, the food is really excellent. The taste was very good and the portions were large enough. We visited the restaurant because of the gourmet block. Unfortunately, this was not accepted, even though the restaurant is included in the voucher book. Of course that's annoying if that's what you came for. The food prices are a bit high, but appropriate for the good quality. I found the drinks to be overpriced (€7.90 for a homemade lemonade).

Wir hatten vorab telefonisch reserviert. Als wir am Tisch die Bestellung aufgeben wollten und darauf hingewiesen haben, dass wir einen Schlemmerblock haben, wurde uns ziemlich unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass das nicht funktioniere. Angeblich sei das ein Fehler vom Schlemmerblock und gelte nicht für dieses Lokal. Ich habe daraufhin überprüft, welche Adresse im Schlemmerblock steht. Es war eindeutig das Lokal in der Seckenheimer Straße 95, Mannheim, benannt. Nach kurzer unerfreulicher Diskussion haben wir das Lokal verlassen. Vor Ort war der Chef/die Chefinnen nicht zu sprechen. Daraufhin habe ich noch am Samstagabend eine E-Mail geschrieben, um dem Lokal noch die Möglichkeit zu geben, den Fehler zu korrigieren. Nachdem nun bis heute - Mittwoch - keine Reaktion erfolgt ist, gibt es nun diese Bewertung. Im Übrigen habe ich auch Schlemmerblock angeschrieben. Da wurde mir innerhalb kurzer Zeit mitgeteilt, dass inzwischen rechtliche Schritte gegen das Restaurant eingeleitet wurde; man hat sich für die Unannehmlichkeit entschuldigt. Das nenne ich guten Kundenservice! Ins Suvi werden wir nicht mehr gehen. Wir fanden die Situation äußerst unangenehm. Wir haben nichts falsch gemacht, wurden jedoch so behandelt. Sehr unhöflich!

Because of the gourmet block we visited the Suvi restaurant. However, we were told on site that the voucher would not be accepted and that they were only in the gourmet block due to a misunderstanding. This is unfortunate because the gourmet block is a popular way for many people to test out new restaurants, tempting them to visit. We still decided to stay and were very impressed with the food. In terms of taste, the food was of a high standard and there was a lot to choose from. It should also be mentioned that the drinks prices were enormous and, for example, a large cola cost €5.80. Because we came over the Schlemmerblock and it wasn't accepted, this was unfortunately our last visit.

High quality sushi! The appetizer platter is particularly recommended. The large soft drinks were also positive. At other sushi spots, small drinks force you to always order several. That's not the case here. So a big plus point. Another plus point are the comfortable benches. No tiny stools like often in Asian restaurants. I really liked it!

I've eaten sushi many times, but Suvi takes it up a notch! Super tasty, attentive staff! Even though it wasn't exactly cheap (without looking at the price and with very, very empty stomachs for two people with a tip of 150 euros) it was just great! We'll be back.

Suvi refuses to accept Schlemmer Block vouchers for 2025 despite the contract with Schlemmer Block still being in force; In addition, only cash payment is possible.

They are actually in the Schlemmerblock, but according to their own statement they have canceled it - i.e. Schlemmerblock doesn't work. It's also funny to say that these days you can only pay in cash.

We were there with the Schlemmerblock. The waitress explained to us that the gourmet block would not be accepted. The boss wasn't there when I wanted to complain. The reservation was only for 90 minutes. By arrangement we were allowed to stay longer. The food was good and the service was friendly.

The inside was very nice and inviting. You could also sit on comfortable sofas. The food was beautifully presented (perfect for beautiful pictures). It was also super tasty! For people who don't like sushi, there are also good alternatives. I would love to come here again.

Starter: The seared raw tuna was outstanding. Main course: Unfortunately the rest was disappointing. We ordered curry noodles and noodles with shrimps. Surprisingly, the second dish also contained curry, although this was not stated on the menu. A reference to ingredients such as coconut milk would have been welcome. Payment: Only cash payment was possible, which is inconvenient. PayPal was offered, but only through the “Friends and Family” option, which somewhat dampened our trust. Service: Very nice and attentive Ambience: So not really true to social media and rather sporadic It's a shame, as the evening started promisingly with the starter.

While browsing through our gourmet block, we spontaneously decided to visit Suvi. We were lucky that a table just became available when we arrived. Unfortunately, when we ordered, the waitress told us that the restaurant had no connection to Schlemmerblock. We were more than surprised because Suvi was noted as a newly added restaurant in the Schlemmerblock. Apart from that, the food was very good, and we also really enjoyed the homemade lemonades. The prices at Suvi are a little higher.

Food was very good and sufficient. One star deducted because the pasta of a warm main course (no salad) was cold and we were not informed about it. We ate there in December and the atmosphere was also cold. We were freezing despite wearing a wool sweater. The table next to us had a heater, but we couldn't get the heat. Price/performance is okay, service was very good.

The reservation online went quickly, I had stated that I would bring my dog, which means that the staff read my comment because they knew my name when I came in. The restaurant made a great impression on social media, so we were happy to test it out. We were welcomed very friendly and escorted to the table. The service was friendly. The food took a while to arrive but was ok. We had the vegetarian curry with tofu. Unfortunately, the dish was a bit bland overall. The tofu itself was way too soft and had no taste whatsoever. We told the waitress this directly. She apologized and asked if we would like anything else. We said no. When we paid (another waiter) we kindly said that we normally like to give tips but unfortunately we didn't like the food. The waiter took this as a personal insult and told us that he had never heard that before. Well, at some point it's always the first time, but in the Suvi it ​​will be the last time for us.

Celebrated a birthday there today, made a reservation a few hours in advance. Our meal came with a Happy Birthday platter and the service staff catered to all of our wishes. Are super satisfied and would like to come again. Food very tasty and service very nice :)

It remains a mystery to me where negative reviews come from here. However, there are two unusual details: 1. only cash payment - which I certainly support, and 2. a time slot for the stay, which will also be pointed out when making the reservation. A completely understandable measure that I can also understand. Otherwise, the quality of the food, the loving decoration and the attentive service were beyond any doubt. I suspect that behind the strange negative comments there is more of a “war of recession” because the same spectrum of evaluations can also be observed among all competitors in the surrounding area. In any case, there was nothing to complain about here. And yes, there are certainly cheaper Asian takeaways, but this is downtown after all. However, I found the prices to be moderate. In any case, full and very satisfied, I take the few steps back to the Mercure Hotel am Friedensplatz, which is also recommended.

The food is great, but the service makes it a bit unpleasant. We had made a reservation and were shown to a table right next to others in a completely empty restaurant. When we sat down at the exact same type of table a little further away. We were told three times that this actually didn't work. “Because our names were booked on the table internally and it was inconvenient to rebook this.” Next to our table, someone had ordered cranberry soda and got pomegranate. When she asked, she was rebuffed: “He doesn’t drink soda. That’s why he can’t judge it.” The food is fresh. I guess it's hard to find good waiters. I feel sorry for the operators and the skilled chefs. I won't come back because of the service.

We decided to eat there anyway, but unfortunately the friendliness of the service had cooled down significantly. Fruit flies on the table, dozens. Dirty chairs. Unfriendly greeting even though we made a reservation. No wipes in the toilet. The floor in the bathroom is sticky. Talk too sharp even though ordered differently.

I ordered and paid via Lieferando. The order was then canceled by telephone because we are outside the delivery area in Heidelberg and Lieferando only approved the order incorrectly. As far as is understandable, unfortunately we still haven't seen our money back to this day (more than 2 months later). You get cut off on the phone and you get no response to emails. The store is definitely not recommended!

Never again - spoiled fish - bad treatment of customers! We have eaten at SUVI a few times and have always been satisfied. I've had their salmon (medium fried) on all my visits, including today. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed a bad smell and when I tried the salmon, I also noticed the bad taste. I let my son and husband try it without telling them anything first. My son spit the salmon out immediately and my husband didn't even want to try it because of the smell. I called service and very kindly said that the salmon didn't seem to be good anymore and had it returned. We had 4 dishes in total. Everyone else was good. As usual. The salmon was still included on the bill. We mentioned it and the service was visibly uncomfortable. She said they have to charge for it since it was already cooked. She said that she would clarify it with the boss, which she probably did over the phone since he wasn't there. Therefore, personal and direct clarification in the right place was not possible for us. The salmon was definitely already bad and I find it impossible that it was still charged! This is not how to deal with customers. We had 4 main courses, 5 drinks and a starter, so that wasn't exactly a small amount. We will never go there again. It can happen that something isn't good, but treating customers like that and insisting on paying for spoiled food is impossible! A very poor restaurant management if you want guests to come back.

I had dinner here with my husband. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside, but the menu was completely different than the one we saw on the homepage. They now have a new menu with different prices and dishes. We then had to choose something else, which is fine. I had breaded chicken with rice and vegetables. It tasted good at the beginning, but in the middle of it my stomach started hurting and I had to go to the toilet. While we were eating there were 3 bluebottles circling around our food. I don't know what the kitchen looks like. When I paid I told the waitress that my food wasn't good and I had a stomach ache and had to go straight to the toilet. She just laughed and said: "Aso, ok, yes, yes." I think she didn't know what to say. One might have expected an apology. I paid the full price of almost €55 for two drinks and two main courses. Never again. No recommendation and I would rather inform the health authority.

For a quick meal, simply order the salmon with vegetables and rice. People were very friendly and the food was okay. The portion was very good and the main courses will definitely fill you up. It wasn't anything super special, but still solid if you just want to eat something sensible.

Overall we were very satisfied. Unfortunately the rice and the sauce of the curry (2/4 of the main course) were cold - the taste was perfect, but I'm sure it would have tasted even better warm. The salmon in one of the 4 main courses we ordered was to die for, whereas the pieces of beef in the curry weren't particularly tender. Still not a disappointment in terms of taste for a casual dinner with friends or family. The selection of sauces for the starter plate was really good / I can recommend the restaurant and hope for warm rice and curry sauce next time, as well as more tender! Thanks to the team for the flavor compositions and visually appealing presentations, especially with the tempura salmon roll. Ambience: the chairs at the tables are more lounge-like and are only moderately suitable for dining - we will reserve a table with benches next time.
