Times Cafe Bar Restaurant Breakfast in Kempten (Allgäu)

We spontaneously decided to watch Bayern Munich play. The game was shown on many screens, so you could see it from every seat. I shared a schnitzel and a cordon bleu with a friend, and both were delicious. The service was also very friendly and polite. I can definitely recommend it. If I'm ever in Kempten again, I'll probably come back.

Fantastic experience! We went to an outdoor football match. Despite the cold weather, it was warm and comfortable. The young staff provided excellent service – very quick, attentive, friendly, and efficient! The cordon bleu was the best, with very generous portions. They even had a decent Primitivo. They also have really delicious hamburgers and pizza! Parking is available on the street or in the Forum or Big Box parking garages. Reservations are recommended for specific matches!

The burger smelled rancid. The bun wasn't a bun at all, but a kind of soggy white bread slab. The potato wedges smelled like shrimp (I generally like shrimp, but potatoes shouldn't smell like that). The salami on my wife's pizza smelled like old pork. The last time we were there was a year or two ago with a group of about 10 people. That was also a complete disaster. The food either came out wrong or didn't arrive at all, and it didn't arrive at the same time. I won't even start on the waiters' competence. We wanted to give the place a second chance. Unfortunately, it didn't work out again. I'm definitely not going there again.

I had reserved a lounge for my birthday last night. Unfortunately, the time coincided with a live football match being broadcast. As a result, the entire area was very loud and crowded. When we asked to turn down the volume or turn off the broadcast in the lounge, we received a curt no – it was almost impossible to have a conversation. We've eaten at Times several times and have always been satisfied, but this time we were truly disappointed. The food was cold for all eight people at the table, which was a real shame. The server was very friendly, though, and they offered a small cake as a small apology – which we really appreciated. Nevertheless, given the circumstances, we ultimately decided to leave after dinner. Truly unfortunate, especially on what should have been such a special evening.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Times was a real disappointment. The blond waiter, in particular, ruined the entire experience. He was unfriendly, ignored me several times, and provided service with a distinctly annoyed, listless demeanor. I felt unwelcome. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable; especially in service, friendliness should be a given.

We went to the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning. It was very busy, obviously well-frequented, but the quality didn't impress us, so we left feeling quite hungry. The hot drinks were included in the price, but unfortunately, that was the only highlight.

The food was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, it was busy at the beginning, and the service was perhaps new. As a result, it was a bit chaotic and not always pleasantly friendly. Later on, it was great.

Unfriendly staff. We had to ask the waiters several times to bring our drinks. I can't say anything about the food.

Unfortunately, I've been disappointed several times. The service leaves a lot to be desired – the waiter seems unmotivated and unfriendly, apparently not interested in their job. The food is poorly presented. For example, the Kaiserschmarrn was so tightly packed that it resembled roasted almonds – barely edible, the texture was simply awful. On top of that, the food arrived before the drinks – and even those were served individually, with up to 10 minutes of waiting time between them.

We were at the Times in Kempten about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing: Both pizzas we ordered seemed extremely poorly prepared and weren't even cooked properly. We'd barely started eating when the waitress came over and asked us to pay – which made an already unpleasant experience even worse. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Never again cheese spaetzle. Industrial cheese has no place in there. It's a watery, tasteless mess. Should stick to pizza.

The Times is a clear recommendation and should definitely be visited. The menu is full of delicious dishes. The salads and burgers are particularly tasty. Since the Times is particularly busy on weekends, it's usually a good idea to make a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is very friendly and they always give their best, even in stressful situations.

Top sports bar, with very good burgers and top service. We'll definitely come back here.

As always, it was great at Times. Nice and friendly staff, and the new Kaiserschmarrn dishes are delicious 😋. We can't let last week's negative review stand. The family with the chewing gum under their pizza was sitting next to us, and the kids had put the gum on it and hadn't come out of the kitchen. It's very rude of that family to claim that's what happened. So why did they eat the whole pizza?

We had such a wonderful afternoon on the terrace at Times. The pizza was delicious, and the non-alcoholic drinks recommended by the chef were so delicious! I'm already looking forward to my next visit 😃

Today we had the worst meal ever. There was chewing gum under my pizza, so the plate wasn't clean. The manager didn't care. There wasn't even an apology or a discount/compensation. We'll never be back ;-)

The food and drinks were excellent. Janosz's service was outstanding. One of the best and most attentive waiters in all of Kempten!

Everything seems a little dull and dark

Received an Aperitivo Arancia Passion Fruit from dear Sonja. Times is cult! Always friendly, fast, good!

An institution. Now that college is long gone, for old hands like me there is hardly anything left of my youth bar days. The Times did and it even got better. Great food, delicious drinks, great team and beautiful location. Unfortunately there is also a but. The prices are now too high. A relatively small salad 15 euros? A schnitzel without salad just a few fries from 15 euros? Otherwise you would have to see whether you can make it bigger so that it is justified. It's clear to me that everything is getting more expensive, but there are limits and unfortunately we're already beyond a limit that I can still often take part in. As much as I would like to. And my friends feel the same way too. The competition isn't much cheaper but it's worse, so I don't come to the Times as often as I'd like but as often as I'm allowed, like I've done for the last 30 years.

A really bad experience. The drinks arrived after 10 minutes, as did the four cold burgers. Very poor quality. My burger meat smelled so bad that I couldn't eat it. Also, the burger was tiny. No apology - nothing. When we collected the money we were asked if we would like to give a tip 🤣 even though we had complained about the food!

I went to the Times for the first time today. We had breakfast there. The food tasted very good and the selection was great. The staff was friendly and always checked to see if you needed anything else. Everything was really GREAT!!! What I personally didn't like was the atmosphere. Somehow it just wasn't comfortable. For me and some of my companions, everything was too close together, too crowded, too loud. And above all, too dark. But that's simply a matter of taste.

Der Brunch war jetzt kein high light. Der Aufbau ist total unpraktisch. Alles in einer Reihe und nur von einer Seite zu erreichen sodass man ewig in der Schlange anstehen muss wenn man etwas haben möchte dass am Ende des Buffets aufgebaut ist. Es wird sehr spärlich nachgefüllt. Wenn viele Leute anstehen hat man Pech, denn dann ist das meiste leer. Keine Semmel und Brezen mehr vorhanden, die schlechte Aufbackware sind- aber das geht ja wohl nicht anderst und seh ich ja noch ein. Rührei war kein Rührei. Es sah aus als wäre es in dem Aufbewahrungbehälter nur im ganzen gestockt, es war kalt und völlig ungewürzt. Die Auswahl war für meine Begriffe OK und wenn man ein guter Kaffee trinker ist, ist es für den Preis schon rentabel, falls man keine zu hohen kulinarischen Ansprüche hat. Seltsam fand ich allerdings dass uns die Bedienung darauf Aufmerksam machte, dass man sein Besteck schon für jeden Gang verwenden kann. Ich möchte mein Süssgebäck aber nicht mit dem Besteck essen, mit dem ich zuvor z.B. Lachs oder Tomate Mozzarella geschnitten habe oder umgekehrt! Sorry!

Yes - especially for football broadcasts, good food at reasonable prices. Gladly again at any time.

Everyone around me has a lot of energy in the bar. The food is very tasty and the entertainment, with a football theme, is also very appealing. Not too loud, but loud enough to hear the neighbor and the TV. The prices are a bit high, but it works from time to time. I think it was a positive experience.

I have NEVER waited more than 10-15 minutes for my food. Steak is awesome! Service was very friendly, in a good mood, always asked if everything was OK. Breakfast buffet very plentiful, very tasty. The food is always fresh. The desserts very delicious. I have been visiting the location regularly for several years. I've never been disappointed. PS: they also have long-term employees, which underlines the satisfaction. If a restaurant has something like this, it is a sign that the employees are treated well and paid well. And lastly: price/performance absolutely fine!

We went to watch football at the times. Food good and service too. Seating very bad despite reservation. It was really cold in the back corner. After 2 hours of football, the view from below is really cold. Heaters only bring heat from above but cold from below through the cold pavement and only a net in the winter garden to the outside. Too bad.

Best shed I've been to. The waitress (Janosh) was always there where we needed him. Great service and top service. If anyone wants to have a nice evening here, they are welcome. Recommended to everyone!

By far the worst restaurant experience we have ever had! Two hours after ordering we were asked if we still wanted the food since the kitchen hadn't even started our dishes yet?! Time until the first burger was on the table: 2.5 hours. Burgers and fries were cold. The blob of chili cheese sauce on the fries had long since solidified (look, see photo...). After complaining about the cold food, the entire plate was warmed briefly in the microwave (everyone can imagine what the consistency of a burger bun and fries is like after being microwaved...). After another complaint a new burger was finally made. Result (approx. 3 hours after the initial order): Chili cheese fries cold again and stuck together in a chunk. The burger was warm, but the wrong one.

The Times is simply recommended. On weekends it is often crowded, cramped and therefore noisy but that is just information and not a criticism. Without exception, the conditions are at their best and the mood is good. The food is very tasty. The burgers in particular are really tasty. The drinks menu is huge. You sometimes have to wait a long time for cocktails. Definitely worth a visit!

We spontaneously went to the Times and were not disappointed! The food was really good, especially the bowls, although we would have liked a little more sauce - otherwise great! The price-performance ratio is great, the prices are absolutely fair. The reception was very friendly and even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a table without any problem. Overall, a clear recommendation, we would love to come back! Thank you for the great service and the pleasant atmosphere.

Good wheat, the chilli cheese fries unfortunately below average.

Have been here in person several times, the food and service are always great. Recently we have also ordered for delivery, delivery is really quick (max. 45 minutes), food is simply delicious, special requests are always taken into account and the small side salad is really brilliant! Keep it up! ;-)

We had reserved for the breakfast buffet. However, our reservation was "lost". We could also provide proof of the call, but we still had to sit outside in the tent or leave again. It did depend on the temperature, but beautiful is different. The employee was very nice and apologized several times. The food was good.

It's a shame how the Times has changed for the worse. I used to go here every 2 weeks, but after my last visit I'm sure I won't be going here anymore!! And don't recommend it to anyone else The gentleman with the half bald head at the reception doesn't work at all, if that should be the boss then meal (as someone has already written here).. something so rude.. on the topic: I called twice and wanted to make a reservation, none went well... none Problem according to the website you can also reserve by email…. Done, done and also received confirmation On site, this gentleman or even the owner said to me that there was no reservation and told me by email that you shouldn't make a reservation... Then don't offer this service!!! Here the fault was found with the customer and in a way that is not possible... if there weren't 10 of us I would have turned around and left The only thing that can be praised here is the service (a younger blonde woman) The food had no taste and the number of fries at the Cordon Blue was a joke!

The service was unfriendly. The air was stuffy. The seats were uncomfortable. It smelled of cigarettes and stale beer. The speci tasted lacquer and stale. There was hair on the burger. The food was cold and the sauces and drinks were warm.

We go to the Times for dinner once a week. There was a great event on Friday. As always, the food was very tasty and of high quality. Always worth a visit.

We were at the Times again yesterday, and as always the food is excellent, the staff is simply TOP, I've been visiting the Times for over 20 years, the Times is a tradition in Kempten and for me the best American restaurant, whoever has negative comments about this restaurant I think, I just have no idea, and then we were lucky that Norman Gatsby was there yesterday, we had so much fun yesterday and such a lovely evening. All I can say is thank you Times Kempten

Extremely disappointing evening… 1.5 hours of travel and had false expectations. I can really advise everyone against this store! You'd better save your money and have a nice evening somewhere else :) Nice staff, hence 2 stars for service but because of the owner I would prefer to give zero stars and that speaks volumes!

Went there for the first time today. Ambiance, American style, was very good, all seats inside with a good view of the screens. There is also an enclosed, heated terrace with a large screen and 2 other large screens. Estimated space for well over 100 people. We ordered burgers (with beef). Super tasty and more than enough in quantity. The menu was very diverse, something for everyone. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back.

I spontaneously looked for a sports bar with a friend to specifically experience the Bundesliga game Gladbach against Union. And it was an experience! We found a super cozy large bar with countless TVs and huge screens. The entire staff was extremely empathetic and courteous. The menu was very diverse. We decided on a burger menu and were thrilled with the size and quality. The drinks menu was also very extensive and the quality of the cocktails in particular was really good. The Times is a clear recommendation for every sports fan who wants to have a great time in Kempten!

Pizza looks and tastes like frozen pizza, burgers cold and bland. Went there a few times with friends by invitation. Absolutely not worth the price. I love good burgers and pizza and eat out often, but I definitely don't go to Times anymore. In my opinion one of the worst restaurants in town.

I am very disappointed with my visit today. I like to be here with friends, to watch football but also just to eat. Today we had to wait about 45 minutes before we could take our food order. I had to get up myself and look for a waiter because no one came to our table. When ordering, I had to order the Times Bowl differently because of my intolerance. This wasn't a problem at all the previous times. This time it was said it wouldn't be possible. I then said that I have ordered it like this several times. I was replied that it was nice and that he couldn't guarantee anything. If the customer orders something then information about yes or no would be very good. But then saying that nothing is guaranteed is unfortunately no joke when it comes to intolerances. Then there was no more rice to make the bowl so I canceled the meal. Very unfortunate.

Me and my friends were there tonight on September 2nd. We met for dinner at the Times. The waiter was incredibly rude. He indirectly discriminated against my friend in homophobic ways. First of all, he warned him not to overdo it after his first drink this evening and laughed at him with his colleagues. In addition, his money was checked for authenticity and he involuntarily pocketed a tip for himself. I have never experienced this behavior at the Times before and I am deeply shocked. This disrespect towards my boyfriend, telling him not to drink much after one drink is not understandable at all, he can drink as much as he wants. The shop is downstairs near me.

When there's a lot going on, it's very loud inside. In general, the Times is always busy, especially when FC Bayern is playing, so be careful, otherwise you won't be able to go without a reservation.

We wanted to drink two glasses of water with our meal, but the waitress brought us two large bottles of water. We explained to her that one bottle was enough, but she informed us that she could not cancel the unopened bottle, which was still with her at the time and not on our table. Eventually she forced us to buy the second bottle.

I actually really like the Times. We just made the mistake of using the exit as an entrance, which earned us an unfriendly greeting. We also had the impression that we were very unwelcome and that they would have preferred not to give us a table outside (we were there around 5 p.m. and the tables were reserved around 8 p.m.) and the unfriendly service often looked at our table with a sideways glance walked past and shook his head. Maybe he didn't like us because others didn't make such a fuss. The rest of the service was otherwise very nice and the food was also delicious 👍
