We were there as a family. Everyone found something delicious to eat. The schnitzel was really tasty. We were very satisfied with the food.

The food was tasty. Unfortunately, it took a while to be served by the staff, even though they were friendly. The decor is quite old and uninviting; there are cobwebs hanging from the windows.

Six of us spontaneously stopped by for lunch today without a reservation. They immediately booked us a table. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. We'd go back anytime 🙏

Good place. I was very skeptical beforehand whether there would be anything vegan or even vegetarian for me, but (the menu is mostly meat-based), there are options for vegans and vegetarians. For example, I had the vegetable steak with fries; it could have been a bit bigger, but otherwise, there's nothing to complain about. The food was delicious, the service good, and the interior was comfortable.

The Goldene Traube is a down-to-earth inn with plenty of charm and a wonderfully shady beer garden – just the right place to linger on warm days. The service is excellent: attentive, quick, yet warm and unobtrusive. You immediately feel welcome. The clientele is also pleasant – friendly people, a relaxed atmosphere, no frills. The food is homely and well-prepared. Anyone who appreciates honest cuisine and an authentic pub atmosphere will feel at home here. The bottom line: good people, good service, good place. What more could you want?

I've lived in Kempten for 20 years and today, on Father's Day 2025, I came here for the first time. The food is OK. Value for money is okay. But: Please announce next time when there's live music! Sorry - you can't have a conversation then. It's way too loud! It's just intrusive, oppressive, and a real pain in the ears... I don't need that anymore!!!!

We had lunch here twice. Everything was perfect. Quaint, friendly, and delicious.

I've always enjoyed eating at the Traube, but now, after three unsuccessful experiences, that's it. Ordered food twice and it came wrong or it was cold. Now today I thought to myself, come on, let's order to pick up, then it'll be quicker and warm. End of the song, Maultaschen with egg, although I didn't order it, hardly any sauce, I didn't get the liver cheese with potato salad, but liver with rice (also cold) Then I have to discuss whether the right food is brought to me. Sorry - but that was my last time with you. Too bad.

The beer garden is just how a beer garden should be, the service is always quick and really friendly, the food is really delicious, so the small side salad alone is mega! It's quaint and cozy inside, we love coming here! Have also ordered for delivery several times and the delivery is super fast, the driver is very nice and the food is great! Thanks ;-)

Very good home-style cuisine in a traditional ambience with top service – these three aspects are enough to comprehensively describe the “Golden Grape”. We came to this restaurant as part of a communion and had never been to the Traube before, because I like to prepare German cuisine myself and don't try that much in the region. A roast spaetzle soup was eaten, which was excellent in its simplicity, followed by onion roast medium, which was to the point. The sauce was so delicious that now when I try it again, my mouth is watering again. My neighbor at the table had the Wiener-style schnitzel, which also seemed delicious. We ate everything. Points that could be improved in my opinion: A more modern tableware could replace this 90s Arcoroc and, with a touch of love, would also give the dishes a nicer look. If yesterday's french fries were the standard product, I would change supplier. These were so tight and sticky that some of them jumped off the forks. There are better ones that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. In my opinion, it is also not conducive to the guest's well-being if the ketchup and mayo bottles are placed directly on the table. This is a snack bar, this is a barbecue party, this is a children's birthday party, this is not a restaurant. Especially since the table was previously decorated for communion. Normally I would have deducted two stars for these three points, but I'm leaving it at five stars because the service was phenomenal. From entering the restaurant to the end there was no lack of hospitality, openness and friendliness. And the nice thing about it: it wasn't played - it was lived. Always an eye on the table, always an eye on the guest, always present without being intrusive, always polite. Thank you!

We have been to the Goldene Traube several times now. The food is “good bourgeois”. I can especially recommend the Allgäuschnitzel. Plus a small mixed salad. It's always really fresh and crunchy. The service is always very quick. We have also tried the grape as an order for home delivery. The taste is like in a restaurant. The path alone is not good for the fries…

Had ordered a table for 2 people 2 days before - then sat at a table for 6... A couple was offered an espresso/schnapps. Unfortunately not for us and the other couple - super embarrassing!!!!!!

The food was cooked carelessly and the service only spoke the most necessary words to us. We had to sit on garden chairs. And that on the Christmas holidays! This way we probably won't become repeat offenders...

Food very tasty 😋! Have various daily specials and a normal menu. I've eaten there several times and it's always been good and the portions are nice. beef goulash with fries; Steak with pepper sauce; Pork fillet with Röstis and Metaxa sauce; Steak stuffed with wild garlic, ham and cheese with fries. Everything was super delicious! And gluten-free, or was made especially gluten-free for me. Unfortunately, the sausage salad was the only thing I personally didn't like so far. Very nice beer garden at the back to sit outside. Unfortunately a little darker inside. Staff friendly and provides information about gluten-free diets.

Very good, mostly home-style cuisine (Balkan plates and cevapcici are the outliers). Prices are within normal limits and the service is calm and attentive. In my opinion, many locals also eat here. The tavern and the adjoining room are decorated in the style of a tavern I can't understand the negative reviews... but I don't have to.

I was in Traube last Saturday with two friends. We all spontaneously decided on the “Wiener Schnitzel” (pork). The portion is really more than big enough - I didn't finish all of the meat - my friends had to help ;-) We really enjoyed it - the price was more than reasonable. Special thanks to our waitress - a slightly older lady. The restaurant was quite busy - she had a lot to do - but she was still very friendly, always had an easy-going saying on her lips - and we didn't have to wait for her either. Thank you very much!

For years I've always come to eat once or twice when I'm nearby, everything was great the whole time, but now I don't seem to want to eat anymore or earn enough, it's now the third time that I haven't had one after almost 20 minutes Saw a service person outside, only this time I drove again. There wasn't even much activity outside. For me it was definitely the last time I stopped here.

Well located, nice beer garden, very courteous staff, clean rooms and the food tasted delicious. What more do you need? It's worth the stop!

Absolutely recommended - from the service to the friendliness to the food. The beer garden and restaurant were fully occupied and yet all the employees were extremely friendly and attentive. Care was taken to provide for the children first and to fulfill all their wishes. The food was super good and plentiful. We will definitely come back when we are in Kempten.

Food in the restaurant was great But what does your chef do for a living? Yesterday we ordered tough pork fillet, the pig had to die twice unfortunately :/ it was a rubber sole but the best thing was raw and cold fries, the MC has even better fries Stay away from the delivery service.

We had dinner at the inn on Saturday evening. The food was overall quite ok. What bothered me was that my salad was “swimming” in the dressing. There was just too much dressing. My companion's onion roast was a little over done, which was still ok. Something like that can just happen. What didn't work at all was the sauce for the roast roast, which would have already pulled a skin where it was at our table - that's just not possible. This was the case with the other skewers with sauce. I think that's a no go. But what bothered me the most was the unfriendly service, which had a tone in itself, something like that just doesn't work. In terms of the ambience and food, I can recommend this inn. A few things could be changed, but it's not that dramatic. What I can't stand are such conditions, which is why I only give it 3 out of 5 stars. It's a shame actually.

Prima plek met gezellige terrassen. De bediening is vriendelijk, het eten lekker en niet duur. Ook voldoende keuze. Hond was ook welkom.

The way to Traube is easy to reach on foot from ZUM, and there is also a bus stop nearby or parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant and in the immediate vicinity. A cozy restaurant inside and out. Unfortunately not particularly suitable for wheelchair users as there are stairs to climb. Even getting to the toilet (which is very clean) only requires a small hurdle. The staff is attentive (especially a younger waiter who is always happy to make a funny comment) and is very concerned about the well-being of the guests. The food is delicious, varied and the price/performance ratio is right!! In the beer garden, trees provide shaded seating!! The Kässpäzle are a real treat, but you should bring a good appetite, or alternatively a food storage box, as the portions are quite large!! There is also food on offer on some days, so please check the internet!! I'd love to go there again!!

A lovely old inn and in summer there is also a beer garden outside. The service got to us very quickly and always asked very courteously whether we needed anything else. The food was fantastic and the price was really impressive. Two people with a starter and drinks for just under €40. Really great!

So today I read it in the AZ The Traube offers good home-style food, I was so happy that I ordered straight away in the evening, to my surprise I realized that I have NEVER eaten so badly, Balkan plates are a joke, Almschnitzel with it A chef can't really make sauce that bad, I hadn't found sauce, bacon was raw and I don't even want to know about cheese, so keep looking, maybe there's still good home cooking in the Allgäu

We had a wonderful evening and ate very well. Almschnitzel is highly recommended, but the pike perch was also really good. A recommendation for anyone who likes small, cozy inns with fast service and good cuisine!

From one day to the next, the food was no longer as good as it once was and the service when asked or complained was also very unfriendly until the boss tried it himself and there was actually something to it.
