Very nice atmosphere, delicious traditional food, and great service. We'd love to come back :)

The food was okay, but the roast didn't taste particularly good and was a bit dry. It was a bit too little for the price. The ambiance is very nice.

Beautiful location, fast service and delicious food.

Great restaurant with a fantastic outdoor terrace. The menu is beautifully varied and regional. Both the burgers and the regional specialties like Käsespätzle and Kaiserschmarrn were excellent. We always found a free table on the terrace on three different days. Service was quick and friendly, thank you very much.

The food was delicious, especially the salad – a real recommendation, especially in these warm temperatures. The beer and cheese soup was also interesting; you have to try it. Regarding the service, I particularly like "Melli"; she was so wonderfully cheerful and attentive, a truly fantastic server! :)

Very friendly staff – attentive and regularly present to check on guests' well-being. The food arrived promptly, was served hot, and tasted truly excellent. The value for money is also absolutely convincing. A particularly positive aspect: A dog-friendly brewery! In the warm weather, a water bowl was immediately brought for our four-legged friend – very thoughtful. The outdoor area is inviting, even though it's located on a busy road – which didn't bother us much, though. We'd definitely be happy to come back! 😊

Nothing special, the food took a long time, room for improvement in the service

The drinks were warm, given the 27-degree temperature outside, and the spritzer was unfortunately lacking in carbonation. We ordered the Cordon Bleu with beetroot and goat cheese, but unfortunately, we got a regular one. The food itself was edible, but more mediocre than outstanding. A shame considering the price.

The Fasshalle is a stylish place where old, modern, and design harmoniously combine. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly and attentive staff, who make the visit a very pleasant one. The ambiance is tasteful and invites you to linger – a successful blend of coziness and urban flair. Our culinary experience offered both ups and downs: The cheese spaetzle was solid, but rather unspectacular in taste, presumably made with Gouda cheese. A little more seasoning – perhaps with mountain cheese – would have benefited the dish. The small side salad, on the other hand, was fresh, varied, and very successful. Overall, the Fasshalle impresses above all with its atmosphere and service. Despite minor deductions for the food, I will gladly return.

We visited the Fasshalle in Kempten on June 15, 2025. We had originally reserved a table in the beer garden, but had to move indoors due to the weather. This wasn't a problem at all – we got a very nice seat in the restaurant. From the very beginning, we received a warm welcome and attentive service. The food arrived promptly and was extremely delicious. We particularly remember the extremely friendly service, who continually asked about our wishes and made the evening particularly enjoyable for us. A truly successful evening in Kempten! We would happily recommend the Fasshalle – and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to the city.

We went there three days in a row because everything was perfect for us! The quality and price are great, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is very attentive and fast.

The four of us ate at the Fasshalle today. At my express request, my meal was to be devoid of any garnish, especially parsley, chives, and herbs. For starters, I had sweet potato soup, which came with bread croutons and "parsley." When I pointed out that I had ordered everything without greens, it was promptly replaced. However, there were no bread croutons left in it either. So, it was strained. The soup tasted exclusively of curry and had nothing to do with sweet potato. My friend ordered an Allgäu schnitzel. This was supposed to be topped with ham and mountain cheese. It was a piece of breaded meat covered in a tasteless sauce. I won't even go into the other dishes. In any case, we've been to the Fasshalle several times and have always been satisfied. Today, unfortunately, was nothing, just like the response to our complaints.

Great ambience with delicious food

Very friendly service. Even though there wasn't a single table set outside and we arrived right as the store was opening, we were immediately offered a table outside. We were the only customers outside for the first 30 minutes and were served quickly and friendly. The food was delicious, the beer tasted good, and overall it was a successful visit.

There were three of us and the service was really friendly. The food is a dream, this is what an onion roast should taste like, absolutely top class, I'm happy to pay a little more for the quality and taste.

The food is good, especially the salad tastes great 10/10. 🥗The large dishes also taste good, but some could be a bit more upbeat and lighter, even if this is often not the case with traditional cuisine. Absolutely incredible. Super friendly staff, incredibly eager to accommodate all requests. Salad, bowl, Kässpatz'n - and above all the Kaiserschmarrn is an absolute hit, it's never been this good anywhere. I've been here two evenings in a row now because it was SO GOOD.

Pricey considering the food quality and offer, I wouldn't recommend it. The place was nice and our waiter was super friendly and helpful though.

The staff is very friendly & attentive. The food was excellent, although it came before the drinks. When one of the waitresses ran past to serve other guests and wished us "bon appetit", she immediately noticed that the drinks were still missing. She then brought them immediately. We'd love to come back.

We celebrated our wedding in the barrel hall. From the inquiry to the day of the wedding, communication couldn't have been better. In addition to the great ambience, we found the service and the food particularly special. If you are looking for an excellent wedding location or just want to eat well and have great service, the Fasshalle is the perfect place for you. The price-performance ratio couldn't be better. Very expensive for this mini portion I think the normal portions at the expensive price are confused with senior plates or children's plates 🙄 To the owner's note: If you give the guests a decent portion right from the start, no one has to ask! Or does every guest only get the normal portion upon request??? 🤔

Die Fasshalle ist ein modernes Brauhaus, die Küche traditionell aber trotzdem modern! Der tolle Zwiebelrostbraten war sous-vide gegart, einfach toll (und eine Riesenportion!). Der sehr gute Beilagensalat war mit 6,90 € nicht billig, aber so groß, dass wir zu zweit genug hatten. Dass das Bier lecker war, ist klar! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We haven't eaten this well in a long time! The food was truly amazing, and the beer was excellent! Despite the large seating area, it's cozy and completely soundproof. If we're ever in Kempten again, we'll definitely come back!

Drove 600 km to reach the table reserved online for 9 p.m., only to be told that the kitchen closed at 8:45 p.m. There was no willingness to ask in the kitchen or to offer us anything to ensure that we could still have a nice evening after the long journey. Unfortunately, an extremely negative service experience. Update: At least someone from the barrel hall called and apologized based on this review.

We had dinner on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was really nice, the seats were comfortable and despite the size of the hall it wasn't too loud. The food was attractively prepared and tasted great. The service was excellent. You were served quickly, the waiters were very friendly and you were given more sauce straight away without asking. We'd love to come back. The price may be a bit higher, but you get what you pay for. You should probably make a reservation in advance as the barrel hall is very busy.

I rarely take photos of the food to upload somewhere, I prefer to enjoy the food directly without distractions. But here, today, I'm annoyed that I didn't take a photo of the roast pork beforehand. Honestly: it couldn't be better! The world's most perfect roast pork! The meat is well done and still pink. So tender that it had a solid shape but fell apart in the mouth. The sauce is a poem, the dumpling is technically 100 points, as is the red cabbage, as I said: nothing more is possible! Normally you always write something negative to an exceptionally positive description to prove objectivity, but I can't find anything. Perhaps the lettuce leaf of the garnish was only lying half upright on the roast. I live in Kleinwalsertal and actually wanted to go to Munich to eat duck at the Augustinerkeller. The shorter journey “just” to Kempten was worth it, not just because of the time, ...as I said: Nothing more is possible! I'm already looking forward to the next meal.

The food was very tasty, optimal size and a good price-performance ratio. Changing the supplement is possible without any problems. The food came very quickly and the waitresses are very friendly. Everything was great, we would love to come back :)

Schade um die location. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt überhaupt nicht. Der vegetarische Burger hier ist ungenießbar (und ich lasse Essen eigentlich nie stehen). Auch der Kindergemüseburger ist absolut unterirdisch schlecht. Mein Mann hatte einen Burger mit Fleisch. Er war genießbar aber kein Genuss. Jeder Cent zu Schade.

Unfortunately, we weren't that enthusiastic about the barrel hall. First of all, it's great that vegan dishes are offered - that's not always the case at a brewery. Unfortunately, the two vegan dishes we ordered were disappointing. The vegan burger lacked flavor and unfortunately the curry wasn't any better and actually only tasted like coconut milk. So unfortunately both are quite bland and we would have liked more depth of taste. The two dishes we ordered with meat were tasty, but the portion size of the schnitzel really surprised us in relation to the price. While it was tasty, there really could have been more on the plate. The waitresses were quick and friendly and very accommodating. Of course the beer was convincing.

We waited over an hour for someone to take our order... Not that anyone came, we organized someone to whom we could pay for our drinks and we were then invited.

We've only been there once, for my birthday. Despite arriving 30 minutes earlier, we were allocated our table straight away. The service was really quick and polite. In the price range I found the quality of the food to be really top, only the burger could have delivered a little more, a little more seasoning on the meat (note: a matter of taste!!). I've eaten more expensive and much worse food. I can recommend the in-house iced tea variants.

The staff is very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately my burger was so dry that I urgently needed a cyclist to get it down. Not enough sauce to add flavor, cold and the beef patty was unfortunately fried to death. For the price you can expect a lot more.

They have the best cheese spaetzle I've ever had!

The Fasshalle is an excellent restaurant in Kempten with a great ambience. The beer and the food are excellent and the range of dishes is great. Allgäu tradition is lived here. The staff is professional and very friendly, you can always get a seat without a reservation. Was there at Christmas and the dessert, consisting of panna cotta, ice cream, chocolate mousse and fruit, was sensational.

A cozy place for a meal with the family, but also for a meeting with friends. Very good food at a reasonable price.

Nice ambience. Unfortunately we didn't like it. Everything looks nice. The burger was too dry. Maultaschen too. Potato salad a disaster. I'm sorry.

Ordered onion roast medium: cold and tough, definitely no longer medium after warming up, but still tough. Duck with limp skin and a bowl of orange-flavored orange puree (possibly supposed to be the sauce???) that had the same appearance as the pumpkin-orange-ginger soup that came before. For this mediocre quality at best, the prices quoted are absolutely overpriced and unreasonable. Over 50 euros were raised for the two failed dishes alone.

I didn't like it at all, the room is just a sterile hall, although the entrance area still looks cozy - but the guest room exudes a sterile atmosphere. Our waitress was again quite grumpy. Like last time, and the noise level was very loud. I didn't find the food tasty either. Was the last time. The fact that I was here, there are better locations in the area The bowl was a pile of large leaf lettuce. Very difficult to eat without spilling and the rest of what was on the menu. There was only a little. If I want a salad. I'll order one too. I've eaten bowls several times and they were simply great. The kässpatzen were also not what I expected, a very large plate came with a small portion

You can almost always get a place for 2 people during the week (even without a reservation) Always quick service and never left dissatisfied. Menu has something for everyone and ambience with the high ceilings is an additional star :)

Fast food service, not everything handmade

Sehr guter Service, mein Cordon Bleu war offensichtlich aufgewärmt, ebenso die Krautkrapfen meiner Frau. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem.

Ich war 2x dort und habe 2x das selbe bestellt. Aus dem Cordon bleu lief beide Male soviel Wasser aus, das es die ohnehin lummelige Panade völlig durchweicht hat. Am einen Abend wurde das Fleisch in einem etwa 3,5cm hohen bowls Teller serviert und war nicht zu schneiden. Man musste es abstochern mit dem Messer wegen dem hohen Rand. Vermutlich TK Fleisch, das mit Panade gepimpt war. Einmal gab es Whiskey Gläser mit Eis und am anderen Abend irgendwelche untypisch Gläser randvoll mit Eiswürfel und Strohhalm. Der Service ist ultraschnell und sehr freundlich aber leider eine wahnsinnige Geräuschkulisse in dieser Halle. Sie werben mit vorzüglichem Essen. Ich finde es höchstens Standard.

Nice, cozy atmosphere, appealing menu and something for every taste. The Wiener Schnitzel was very tasty, and for dessert there was Kaiserschmarren, which was also very tasty. In combination they are more than enough. The service was very attentive, even when it was busy. Very well attended for a Monday evening, which speaks for the quality. I'd love to come back. Beer was freshly tapped on tap.

Food and service impeccable. Ambience a bit too sterile. The reservation system seems completely incomprehensible to me. It is early evening, half the restaurant is empty, but several families with small children are being sent away. Empty restaurants are uncomfortable. First come, first serve.

The barrel hall in Kempten is absolutely recommended! Great atmosphere, rustic and cozy – just the thing for a relaxing evening. Our waiter Erich was super attentive and took great care of us. The food was simply great! Fresh, tasty and with great attention to detail.

The food and ambiance is very good. We had in total 4 glasser of wines, which according to the menu are 0.1 ltr and costs € 4,20 each. When we received the cheque, it was much higher then we expected. When I asked about it, the waiter told us we had 4 glasses of 0.2 ltr and not 0.1ltr. We found that a bit strange as on the menu only 0.1 or 0.75 ltr is available. Although the food, ambience and service is very good, this gave us a bad feeling when we walked out.

The schnitzel was delicious, the soup was also very tasty, the beer was delicious, drunk, the salad with sausage was unclear whether it was spaghetti or sausage, or that there were no vegetables. Just red onions. The bread is fresh. Thanks for the atmosphere

Hatten einen schönen Platz im oberen Bereich. Das Essen kam nach circa 35 Minuten. Das hat aber sehr gut gepasst da man sich so auch noch bisschen unterhalten konnte. Essen war sehr lecker und der Service aufmerksam. Kommen immer wieder gerne in die Fasshalle!

Was here and ate an onion roast with cheese pätzle. Plus a beer. I really have to say there is nothing wrong with it!! It was like a dream. The food was absolutely fantastic. I've never had such a good onion roast before. 5 stars without hesitation. Always friendly, competent and totally in a good mood

Wow The brewery of the future, beautiful, welcoming, modern, elegant and also traditional. Truly a place to visit absolutely. Whoever designed this place is visionary. The food is great. The boys are very good. Too bad the last time I went there I found it closed. While Google gave it as open.

Very nice location. 2 parking garages around the corner. Service was top. Unfortunately, despite reserving online, we didn't get a standard table and had to sit at a high table. Not recommended if you have back problems. The excuse was that they were probably already full. Then I am not allowed to confirm the reservation. Now to the food: The extra side salad was delicious, but too expensive at €6.90. The cheese spazen and the knuckle were very tasty. In my opinion, the food came almost too quickly. Otherwise it was a great evening.
