First the positive: The food was delicious and the first drinks came very quickly. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time before we could place our food order. There were very few guests there, but our service was not at all on the ball. We told another waitress that we wanted to pay. She told us that someone was coming soon. “In a moment” turned into another 20 minutes until we could pay. Here we also had the opportunity to order our last round. If they had paid attention to us beforehand, they could have had another two to two drinks. Conclusion: The food is good, but the service could be improved.

Coole Lokation in der City von Kempten mit großen Biergarten. Wie der Name schon sagt befindet sich das Lokal in einer Halle. Es gibt verschiedene Sorten Bier wobei man auch ein Biertasting machen kann zu 7,90€ Essen alles sehr lecker.

When I was in the barrel hall for the first time at the beginning of 2020, I was disappointed. If I remember correctly, there were hardly any dishes on the menu that had anything to do with a “tavern” because that was how they presented themselves back then. The happy hour for cocktails saved the evening, but I didn't want to go here to eat again for the time being. In 2023 I gave the Fasshalle another chance, I was very surprised. The menu now finally has a lot of dishes that I can start with and that also fit in here. I've been here a few times now. Food is very good, service is also good. Price/performance is right.

Cool location as the name suggests in a hall. Very relaxed service but everything fits. There are different types of beer and you can also do a beer tasting for €7.90 Tip Allgäuer Schnitzel for €18.90

Too warm, too expensive, too strenuous

Super cool location and delicious food!!

We have been to the Fasshale Restaurant several times and have been satisfied so far. Unfortunately, yesterday's food didn't impress us; it used to be much better. Maybe we just caught the wrong day, but almost €19 for a burger Can you actually expect better cuisine!

It rarely happens, but we were there at 1:59 p.m. and there was a break at 2:00 p.m. - but we were assigned a table and were served nicely and promptly without being annoyed. Despite everything, we were not given any time pressure. And the food was absolutely amazing! The sausage salad is a poem as are the Maultaschen and the Kaiserschmarrn. We were thrilled.

Nice place to have a beer and eat something typical German. The menu is only in German and the waiter didn't speak much English either. We were still able to have dinner and have a few beers.

I had dinner here with my family and I found a very nice place, delicious food typical of the area and prices in line with the quality of what I ate. Excellent Radler! Only the service I found could be improved: we asked for an extra empty plate to share the food with the children, but despite having asked for it several times it never arrived.

Delicious food, rustic, nice atmosphere

We stopped in Kempten on Monday while passing through and had lunch at the Fasshalle. We really enjoyed the food, soups and main courses. The young lady in service was extremely friendly and really on the ball. The ambience is that you can sit outside very nicely. The hall itself is quite impressive and tastefully decorated. The toilets were also new, clean and in very good condition. I would like to give you a sixth star for the Asbach-Cola 🤩🥰🤤 you are immediately reminded of the old, wild times of 20 years ago 😅

The food was very, very good, large portions 👍 Unfortunately, we didn't immediately know that there was a children's menu, we only found out/saw that at the end (by chance). Ambience very good. If you want to sit outside, you should make a reservation. The small beer tasting was very good. The toilets are clean.

A must-do for beer fans. Allgäuer-Brauhaus live, a pleasure to drink the good beer here, inside and outside. Since you're in Kempten, stop by, it's worth it, the food is also good.

The service and beer in this restaurant are excellent. About the food: they have a very varied menu, so something for everyone. My friend and I both had the schweinshaxe. The food arrived literally 2 minutes after we ordered it, which makes you think how good can it be. It was okay, but we wouldn't come back for the food.

That was a really successful evening to start our vacation. The menu was pleasantly stocked, the food was delicious, the staff was courteous, polite and funny. The ambience was also exceptional. Absolute recommendation.

Lekker en verzorgd gegeten van de plaatselijke Duitse specialiteiten. Verzorgd biergarten intérieur met gedienstig en vriendelijk personeel. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is in orde. Vlakbij hotel gelegen, ideaal in ons geval 😉.

Food is delicious and the barrel hall is nicely decorated. However, the menu does not adequately describe which dishes are vegetarian and which are not!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Fasshalle, weil wir Gutscheine geschenkt bekommen hatten. Nun sind wir total begeistert, es war richtig schön, das Essen mal was anderes und sehr lecker. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Very nice staff, cozy atmosphere, quick ordering and preparation of the food. Unfortunately, the food is not very convincing in terms of value for money. Cheese soup as a starter was too small or the very dry children's burger with a dry pattie was nothing for the child or the dad who stepped in as a replacement.

We've eaten in the barrel hall a few times now. As usual, a pleasure every time. Great service, excellent food and great hosts! We will be happy to come back and recommend you to others. Thank you!!

Great restaurant with a great selection in every respect. Very busy reservation is recommended. The service is very friendly, fast and attentive. Top👍💪…Unfortunately the doneness of my dish was completely ignored. Ordered was delivered medium well in English and that is still described symptomatically. When I asked if there was a side salad, the answer was no - but there was one to order separately. Ok so far so good. But it wasn't right, it came extra and I didn't manage the rest. That doesn't have to be the case, does it? It's a shame it could easily have ended with 5*. There was a schnapps as an apology - thanks for that. I'm curious if anyone would like to answer this.

One of the best breweries. Very tasty beer, which is also available as a small tasting plate. The food was all just great. Perfect portions and everything to the point and good quality. Small extras such as sauce for the schnitzel were provided at no extra charge. You'll be happy to come back!

Delicious food, friendly service, great outdoor dining

Was here today and ordered an onion roast and I have to say that the meat was fresh and well cut. The taste could be a little better, but still not a deduction. Fried onion quite well done and tasteful. The spaetzle in the 4 area but you can improve it, the cheese content is too large so it seems a bit mushy but the taste is good. The presentation is very good, very attractive. Schnitzel with fries really good, you have to see it. The special large fries are worth highlighting. The schnitzel is made exactly on the ga point, not too dry and easy to bite into. High praise for the presentation. You can go out to eat here, give it a try, a top recommendation. Something else shouldn't be forgotten, Tobi the waiter is a top guy, personable and fun to have. The boss was very friendly and had to say he got a seat despite not having reserved a seat. The ambience of the store is an eye-catcher. Prices are all reasonable and discretionary. By far you are in the right place here and feel comfortable as a guest.

The ambience inside is very nice, but this diminishes outside. The service is very friendly, also super fast (a little too fast if you want to try the beer tasting offered before your meal). Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us 100%. The onion roast was battered so thin, like a schnitzel, so that it wasn't medium rare, but rather well done. That's how it tasted too. The sauce is very liquid and tasteless. In the second dish (Schwabenpfännle), the spaetzle had the taste of meat. Therefore not edible. Wouldn't come again.

Burgerpetti mega dry, children's dish spaetzle in cream quite neutral taste and not attractively presented. The service was great. But we wouldn't go there again

The barrel was all great. There were three of us there and we ate something. The food was great and everything was freshly prepared. The service left nothing to be desired, occasionally coming to the table and asking if everything was okay. And if we still have any wishes, we ordered 3 more Expressos. The barrel all deserves 5 stars in all areas. We will go again. The food, service and ambience are great, I can only recommend it to everyone. 👍👌

Yum! We ordered Allgäuer Büble Biers - Bayrisch Hell, the Wiener Schnitzel and Allgäuer Kässpatzen. The schnitzel was amazing, great portions for sharing. The Kässpatzen is like Mac and cheese with fried onions on top. DELICIOUS! Highly recommend checking out the location. We ended up arriving quite late, but they still were able to accommodate us.

Visit home. Very positively surprised. Well prepared and great local food. Staff very friendly and paramedics new and modern. Price performance is right. Gladly again

Essen war gut, für jeden was dabei deftige Hausmannskost Portionsgrösse für den Preis vollkommen in Ordnung, Einzig das Rotkraut mit Zimt war gewagt da nicht jeder Gast Zimt mag, ich leider auch nicht. Der Burger war mega, alles selbst gemacht, das Fleisch top.Personal freundlich, Essen kam zügig.

We spontaneously celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary in Kempten (we are from Nuremberg) at lunchtime. The food is super delicious, the ambience and the restaurant are great. The waiter was super personable and rocked it with ease. Highly recommended, keep it up.

Great service and reception Beer.....there's nothing to complain about. Food... yes, that last clever thumb is missing. A little more pizzazz. Schnitzel gratinated was “good” but it could be better. Onion roast very good 👍 Is there anything else you can serve...put the sauce pan in the spaetzle? Quality was good. Tasted good. It's worth it.

We went for dinner on May 19th - in transit. The decision was made based on the previous reviews. When paying, it turned out that the card reader apparently only accepts hanging up. We tried several cards - we blocked the so-called hanging up - no chance. The waiter said this happened all the time - so it wasn't an isolated case. Luckily we still had enough cash between us. For us, given the level of knowledge in-house, this was a no-go. The food wasn't an aha experience either. We regard an arrangement in a kind of bowl as unusual. After all, it was deer goulach and schnitzel without any loving garnishes.

The barrel hall is a beautiful example of successful post-industrial reuse. As the name suggests, it is a hall and not a cozy place. There is delicious beer from the Allgäu brewery, well chilled. The menu is correspondingly hearty. There are schnitzels, knuckles and burgers. That's all fine, but you notice the system catering. The service is very quick, the food came very quickly, almost too quickly. Overall, you get what you expect when you enter a "barrel hall" in good quality.

It was our first visit to the barrel hall, but we were really positively surprised and thrilled afterwards. The flair of a market hall with high tables but also normal seating creates a pleasant atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and recommend everyone to make a reservation. We had it 😎😎 but even if we were lucky there would definitely be a seat. The service was really good, very attentive and no long waiting times. The quality and taste of the food was definitely recommended. If we are in Kempten again - we will definitely plan a visit there.

Es hat den Flair, wie der Name schon sagt einer Markthalle. Es ist aber nicht negativ sondern passt super. Wir haben dort einen angenehmen Abend mit perfekten Service und gutem Essen verbringen dürfen. Reservierung für Standardtische schon wichtig.

A place to drink beer that is very good and accompany something to eat. Typical German food although I have ordered fish that is the same as what you would get in Ireland for example. Clean tables.

Very nice location. We were there for the first time. The food is good, but there are even better restaurants in Kempten for my taste :-) Unfortunately the service was a bit slow towards the end, which I didn't like. But, considering that there is indoor and outdoor service, it's ok. Overall, I can recommend the restaurant. It is really beautifully designed and comfortable to sit on.

Wonderful location in the middle of Kempten. Lots of space inside and outside - generous seating. A few steps at the entrance - there are also stairs to the toilets. The selection on the menu is quite large - something suitable for everyone. There is also a children's menu and activities for the table. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. We had a pleasant, somewhat sheltered and, above all, delicious lunch. Must be recommended!!!

We had dinner in the barrel hall. Unfortunately, we expected more than what was delivered. The food was okay but nothing more or less. The Allgäu grill pan tasted okay. Unfortunately the food was put on the table in a cold pan, so it got cold very quickly. A warm pan and a plate would be nice here. It's really stupid if the pan constantly moves or rotates while cutting. Unfortunately, the Allgäuer Kässpätzle served with it was nothing at all. Other restaurateurs can do it better. The Maultaschen was good. The veal Viennese schnitzel we ordered were also just average. Since we had them on the plate with pieces of aluminum foil, I assume that they came from the warming container. But well, maybe we just got the wrong day. But at €68 for 2 people you can actually expect better cuisine. The ambience and service were good.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation there. All for the best. Gladly again 👍
