I am a meat lover and still love this restaurant

We got a table at short notice on the weekend. There's a good selection of dishes, and you can order smaller portions of the main courses, allowing you to try more variety. The cucumber salad and mapo tofu were particularly good.

Absolutely top-notch. As an omnivorous fan of Szechuan cuisine with vegetarian accompaniment, I made a spontaneous reservation for the evening. You shouldn't be put off by OpenTable – a table wouldn't have been available there for another six days. Anyway – a quick call, desired time, confirmation, and off we go. And then some luck finding a parking space, and now – off to the restaurant: Invitingly decorated inside and out – without the usual kitsch. Service was absolutely attentive and warm, yet prompt and practical – never an involuntary empty glass or plate. And they're quite something. You can choose from a wide variety of dishes, and there were a few specials too. You're not limited to tofu or "replicas" as an alternative. In addition to the appetizers to share, I chose the hot pot with cauliflower and chili and the dry-fried beans as a small portion (absolutely great if you want to try a few dishes "as a group"). "Unfortunately," I wasn't ready to share in the end, as both dishes were absolutely fantastic. Freshness, flavor, and seasoning—if you enjoy Szechuan cuisine often, you won't miss the usual seasoning (it's indicated, but can be edited up) or the meat. At most (like me, considering the water spinach), you'll need a second stomach to eat even more. You can also have your vegetables prepared as desired, which allows for a wide variety of variations. An absolute must-have: the spicy and sour cucumber salad with cilantro (there are two different varieties).

Always happy to come here! The taste, service, and atmosphere are always excellent.

For me, this is the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to—and the best part: everything is completely vegetarian. The selection is huge, and every dish I tried was simply delicious. Add to that the incredibly friendly staff, which made the visit even more enjoyable. For that reason alone, I would travel back to Berlin anytime.

Went here for dinner today. I must say I do not really understand the hype in the reviews. The food is somehow authentic and has a nice touch to it, but the tastes are so blend that if you would come here after a two week fast, you would probably like it. The spice level as well as the intensity of the dishes was more than moderate,even the very spicy ones. We had potato salat, tofu hot pot (sechuan), spicy starter soup, noodle salat (starter), fried tofu (peanut sauce - starter), green beens (starter) and some more dishes and i really could not tell one dish that i found had an unique taste to it. Lemonades were good but also pricy. Two stars only because the setting at Viktoria Luise Platz is nice

We had a delicious meal, albeit an expensive one. What spoiled the experience: The waiter was incredibly rude and disrespectful; I have no idea what someone like that is doing in service. Based on my experience and the descriptions here, I'd say: Boy, find a job you're up to, preferably without human contact. That's bad for business. At least his colleague and the older employee were nice and helpful. I don't know if I'll go back; there are countless places in Berlin where you feel more respectful and welcome.

Nicely tucked away though more obvious to locals :-). Good selection of vegan. Well spaced seating area. Very yummy!

Amazing vegetarian restaurant, with plenty of tasty options!

Really delicious food. I shared several different small dishes with my companion. All were delicious, but the eggplant with potatoes was outstanding. The service was also very good. We'll definitely be back :)

MEGA! Highly recommended. We don't live in Berlin anymore and have to go there every time we visit. This was our first time with a toddler, and we were well looked after, including games and puzzles for the little one! The food came super quickly and, as always, was very, very good!!! Thank you!

Very nice vegan and vegetarian food. The vegan pork belly and the fried lotus root stand out. Cucumber salad and water spinach are also a good addition. The food is best shared between a couple of people so you can taste a lot of different dishes. There is an option to order a "small portion" so you can try even more items on the menu. They also have "safe" options like vegan duck prepared the "classic" way. It is easy to have a nice experience here.

Very good food. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Since my baby was sleeping, I just wanted to have a quick bite to eat outside, but unfortunately, they weren't available. It had rained a bit earlier, but the weather had cleared up again. A table outside under the awning was also occupied. I was rudely told I could get something to go. When I pointed out that my baby was sleeping and I couldn't sit inside, they said nothing. They just turned away and continued working behind the bar. I left. What a shame.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience this time. We had barely sat down at a table that hadn't been cleared yet when the waiter literally shouted at us – completely inappropriate and rude. Even after he had cleaned the table, the passive-aggressive comments didn't stop. This is especially disappointing, as we are actually regular customers and have always enjoyed visiting the restaurant. It's truly unfortunate to treat regular customers like this.

The food at Tianfuzius is so delicious, and I love that everything is vegetarian or vegan, and allergens are listed. It's also possible to order half portions, which is nice if you* want to try things first. I would recommend making a reservation, especially in the evenings.

The food is incredibly delicious, but the staff, especially the man on the phone, are rude and not at all customer-friendly! Just because the place is doing well, he probably thinks he can lose regular customers straight away. He hung up on us on the phone just because we asked if it was their lunch break or if we could come by! When we called back, thinking it was an accident, he said, "No, that was an unnecessary question and deserved it." UNBELIEVABLE! You've lost an entire work group who often ate with you!!!

By far one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in. Every dish we ordered was truly delicious. I was particularly impressed by the vegan pork belly.

It's absolute outrage, what a waiter there does time and time again. When he's paid to serve food to customers, he refuses to give away free tables and even gets rude. It's abysmal! Despite the shortage of service staff, such staff shouldn't be allowed to serve customers; it's detrimental to business!

We all know that service in Berlin is not the best, but here is the top of the unfriendly Service. We wait ages for the waiter to get our order then ages to get the food, we didn’t get our starter and didn’t even bother to know which one it was, and at the end while i was waiting to pay, the waiter was mocking a man for not knowing how to use their payment machine… i wonder how this place is even still open!! Never again

Favorite restaurant! <3 We love the eggplant dishes and the spicy mushrooms. As a starter we like to order the water spinach on glass noodles with lots of garlic or the cucumber salad with chili.

Very tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes! Have eaten very well here several times with 4 or more people. It was never a problem and it was always a gift for everyone, including me as a meat eater! The curries are a dream starters too and the homemade lemonade is great! Yumyum I would say

You have to order rice separately for a fee otherwise you may only get the basic dish. It's not cheap anyway, but you get served quickly and it's tasty too, although I didn't want anything spicy and specified that. Nevertheless, sharp elements were smuggled in.

When you came in you were immediately told: “YOU HAVE TWO HOURS.” Sorry, but that’s just not possible if you have a reservation.

The food is perfect and tastes like it does in the country of origin. The waitresses are consistently very friendly. My regular restaurant for almost 15 years. Every now and then you read something about an unfriendly waiter. Don't believe any of it, because the escalation by brazen guests is at best pointless - and that's right and also protects other guests.

I went twice. 1st time was the best for me. Great food, service friendliness varied depending on who was serving. Food was served quickly & tasted good & fresh both times. Very loud music 2nd time 😿

Food unbeatably good. Ambience also great, more typical Berlin. My only point that I personally think would be nice: The dishes are served without rice, so that it has to be ordered separately and centrally for several people. I think it would be nicer if the rice came directly with the dish.

Vegetarian Sichuan cuisine is served here. The menu is huge, so there is a lot to choose from and there is something for everyone! We ordered many different dishes as a group and everything tasted good; everything fresh and well prepared. The drinks were good too and the wait staff was super helpful and friendly; At the end there was a shot on the house. Happy to come back!

We were there late on Sunday for lunch and were warmly welcomed. The food is simply delicious!!! We always order a selection of starters and main courses to share, so far everything has been delicious. I can't judge whether it's authentic, but as I said, everything is delicious and there's a huge selection for vegans. The service employee was also very friendly. And dogs are also allowed indoors, but you have to remember that there isn't much space and the dog has to be able to handle it.

The tables stick. The reception is disastrous. The waiter is aggressive and says "you're wasting my time" because he's upset that we "only" had 2 teas and a starter.

Absolute Katastrophe. Die männliche Bedienung heute, am 23.11.2024, unverschämt frech. Unhöflich. Ohne jeglichen Respekt. Möchte Essen mitnehmen, was übrig blieb. Wurde mir die Verpackung dafür wortlos auf das Essen geworfen. Auf Nachfrage hieß es einfach nur : kannst dir selber einpacken. Warum soll ich das denn für dich machen ? Reservierung wurde ebenfalls nicht eingehalten. So enttäuschend alles. Nie wieder ! Nie wieder !

Oh! First time here was lovely, second time I felt like an imposition. Simply asking for an English version of the menu was met with anger? Hostility? Created an awful ‘welcome’. Don’t know why, I walked out. Shame because it is / could be lovely and welcoming. Sehr unhöflich :(

As a Chinese woman, I can say it's not a Chinese restaurant: just because all Asians “look the same” doesn't mean that everyone can cook Chinese. But what pisses me off the most is the waiter at the bar, I've never experienced anything so extremely unfriendly: he decides that they won't take any more orders because I "look at the menu for too long", he said the same thing to someone else here too read the review! And I “should use my head a bit and think, not waste other people’s time”. Wow. When you read the 1 star reviews here, you wonder how a restaurant like this can stay in business, or how such employees can still make money there by insulting their customers. Of course never again.

Have ordered to be picked up. Very fast and very friendly. Food is bold and authentically seasoned for our taste. Great variations, the majority (or now all?) Vegan and a variety of delicious tofu and vegetable dishes as well as great dumplings that not every Asian restaurant offers. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Chinese (Sichuan) cuisine, very original and well spicy. We didn't miss meat at all. The small, very inexpensive dishes make you want to eat the main courses. The service is fast, friendly and professional - we (4) didn't have to wait. Unfortunately the Tianfucius is very loud, acoustic insulation would be a relief!

Well, my HotPot for 26.50 euros was totally overpriced and rice is extra! It's always a stupid thing for restaurateurs to want to earn extra money from rice, potatoes or pasta. But the ingredients for HotPot were also rather unimaginative, no cauliflower or broccoli for example. First of all, delicious peanuts with coriander, at least. Everything rounded off with a bamboo schnapps. Wouldn't rather go there again.

Great menu and selection of food. Relaxing atmosphere. I go regularly there, since they have so many plates to try. Most of waiting staff is very friendly. A pity that they use plastic plants as decorations.

Simply excellent. Have been a guest here many times and have never been disappointed. The kitchen is really to be praised! The seating may be a bit cramped and it's a bit louder, that's just how it is in a good restaurant. Many people want to share in the good cuisine. The quality of the food is worth emphasizing, and the price is also reasonable. A clear recommendation.

Dishes that you actually have the courage to eat rice without getting rice, then having to pay for rice and then simply getting the worst rice ever just hurts a lot. My 5 days in fridge microwaved basmati rice is better than this one. And 5 years ago it was still a deserved 5 stars yikes

I feel so lucky to have discovered this place. Tianfuzius offers a huge menu of creative, meat-free Chinese dishes. The dim sum really stands out for the bold flavour and inventive fillings. The restaurant is quite large, so you have a reasonable chance of a table without a reservation. The team really makes you feel welcome - so warm and attentive.

Cozy vegan restaurant with a good selection and delicious food. Unfortunately the waiter was very unfriendly and didn't make you feel welcome as a guest. Too bad! Apart from that, great.

The food was very tasty. It's very loud in the restaurant, so it's not well dampened, which is important to me personally because I get distracted quickly. I can especially recommend the soft eggplant. And then me and my friend got a bad stomach ache the next day..

It looked nice from the outside, but after waiting for over 20 minutes and being told that our colleague was coming soon, we were told rather bluntly that no new guests would be accepted. Then we went to the Asian restaurant around the corner, which was the better choice in every respect.

We like coming to Tianfuzius. There are very tasty vegan dishes. When we asked, we were also told that the menu was out of date and that everything was probably vegan. The morel salad, the sour and spicy soup and the fried noodles are particularly recommended. But only if I have to decide. We didn't like the dishes with substitute products such as duck or chicken. But that's a matter of taste. The Cheezecake is definitely recommended! We always like to come back. We have never had the experience of unfriendly service on any of our visits.

DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTED, SERVICE HUGE! EVEN THE DOG FOUND THE FOOD AGAIN AND SPIT IT OUT. We came here by train from Spandau and were actually looking forward to delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. First of all, we had to wait almost 15 minutes to get a table, even though there were several full of dirty, uncleared dishes. After being ignored a few times as we walked past, we were finally able to order food. Unfortunately we were forgotten and had a waiting time of 2 hours, even though we were pointed out several times. The dirty dishes were not cleared from the table. The food itself just tasted disgusting. Hardly seasoned, the dumplings without sauce were tasteless and everything was placed on a few spice leaves which looked as if they had been left out in the open for hours and dried out. We asked several times if we could pack our food, whereupon our question was ignored with empty hands. It started to rain, but we were refused permission to extend the rain cover, so we had to sit half wet. After paying, we asked for the euro that was left on the bill, which was then slammed onto the table in annoyance. In the end, when we got back home, we fed the food we had finally packed to the dog, but even he spat it out again. That's why it's now where it belongs and where it came from in terms of taste. Into the trash. You deserved to go broke. I have never had such brazen service in my life.
