Tianfuzius 天府子 in Berlin

The food at Tianfuzius is so delicious, and I love that everything is vegetarian or vegan, and allergens are listed. It's also possible to order half portions, which is nice if you* want to try things first. I would recommend making a reservation, especially in the evenings.

The food is incredibly delicious, but the staff, especially the man on the phone, are rude and not at all customer-friendly! Just because the place is doing well, he probably thinks he can lose regular customers straight away. He hung up on us on the phone just because we asked if it was their lunch break or if we could come by! When we called back, thinking it was an accident, he said, "No, that was an unnecessary question and deserved it." UNBELIEVABLE! You've lost an entire work group who often ate with you!!!

By far one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in. Every dish we ordered was truly delicious. I was particularly impressed by the vegan pork belly.

It's absolute outrage, what a waiter there does time and time again. When he's paid to serve food to customers, he refuses to give away free tables and even gets rude. It's abysmal! Despite the shortage of service staff, such staff shouldn't be allowed to serve customers; it's detrimental to business!

We all know that service in Berlin is not the best, but here is the top of the unfriendly Service. We wait ages for the waiter to get our order then ages to get the food, we didn’t get our starter and didn’t even bother to know which one it was, and at the end while i was waiting to pay, the waiter was mocking a man for not knowing how to use their payment machine… i wonder how this place is even still open!! Never again

Favorite restaurant! <3 We love the eggplant dishes and the spicy mushrooms. As a starter we like to order the water spinach on glass noodles with lots of garlic or the cucumber salad with chili.

You have to order rice separately for a fee otherwise you may only get the basic dish. It's not cheap anyway, but you get served quickly and it's tasty too, although I didn't want anything spicy and specified that. Nevertheless, sharp elements were smuggled in.

When you came in you were immediately told: “YOU HAVE TWO HOURS.” Sorry, but that’s just not possible if you have a reservation.

The food is perfect and tastes like it does in the country of origin. The waitresses are consistently very friendly. My regular restaurant for almost 15 years. Every now and then you read something about an unfriendly waiter. Don't believe any of it, because the escalation by brazen guests is at best pointless - and that's right and also protects other guests.

Food unbeatably good. Ambience also great, more typical Berlin. My only point that I personally think would be nice: The dishes are served without rice, so that it has to be ordered separately and centrally for several people. I think it would be nicer if the rice came directly with the dish.

Vegetarian Sichuan cuisine is served here. The menu is huge, so there is a lot to choose from and there is something for everyone! We ordered many different dishes as a group and everything tasted good; everything fresh and well prepared. The drinks were good too and the wait staff was super helpful and friendly; At the end there was a shot on the house. Happy to come back!

We were there late on Sunday for lunch and were warmly welcomed. The food is simply delicious!!! We always order a selection of starters and main courses to share, so far everything has been delicious. I can't judge whether it's authentic, but as I said, everything is delicious and there's a huge selection for vegans. The service employee was also very friendly. And dogs are also allowed indoors, but you have to remember that there isn't much space and the dog has to be able to handle it.

The tables stick. The reception is disastrous. The waiter is aggressive and says "you're wasting my time" because he's upset that we "only" had 2 teas and a starter.

Absolute Katastrophe. Die männliche Bedienung heute, am 23.11.2024, unverschämt frech. Unhöflich. Ohne jeglichen Respekt. Möchte Essen mitnehmen, was übrig blieb. Wurde mir die Verpackung dafür wortlos auf das Essen geworfen. Auf Nachfrage hieß es einfach nur : kannst dir selber einpacken. Warum soll ich das denn für dich machen ? Reservierung wurde ebenfalls nicht eingehalten. So enttäuschend alles. Nie wieder ! Nie wieder !

Oh! First time here was lovely, second time I felt like an imposition. Simply asking for an English version of the menu was met with anger? Hostility? Created an awful ‘welcome’. Don’t know why, I walked out. Shame because it is / could be lovely and welcoming. Sehr unhöflich :(

As a Chinese woman, I can say it's not a Chinese restaurant: just because all Asians “look the same” doesn't mean that everyone can cook Chinese. But what pisses me off the most is the waiter at the bar, I've never experienced anything so extremely unfriendly: he decides that they won't take any more orders because I "look at the menu for too long", he said the same thing to someone else here too read the review! And I “should use my head a bit and think, not waste other people’s time”. Wow. When you read the 1 star reviews here, you wonder how a restaurant like this can stay in business, or how such employees can still make money there by insulting their customers. Of course never again.

Have ordered to be picked up. Very fast and very friendly. Food is bold and authentically seasoned for our taste. Great variations, the majority (or now all?) Vegan and a variety of delicious tofu and vegetable dishes as well as great dumplings that not every Asian restaurant offers. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Chinese (Sichuan) cuisine, very original and well spicy. We didn't miss meat at all. The small, very inexpensive dishes make you want to eat the main courses. The service is fast, friendly and professional - we (4) didn't have to wait. Unfortunately the Tianfucius is very loud, acoustic insulation would be a relief!

Well, my HotPot for 26.50 euros was totally overpriced and rice is extra! It's always a stupid thing for restaurateurs to want to earn extra money from rice, potatoes or pasta. But the ingredients for HotPot were also rather unimaginative, no cauliflower or broccoli for example. First of all, delicious peanuts with coriander, at least. Everything rounded off with a bamboo schnapps. Wouldn't rather go there again.

Simply excellent. Have been a guest here many times and have never been disappointed. The kitchen is really to be praised! The seating may be a bit cramped and it's a bit louder, that's just how it is in a good restaurant. Many people want to share in the good cuisine. The quality of the food is worth emphasizing, and the price is also reasonable. A clear recommendation.

Dishes that you actually have the courage to eat rice without getting rice, then having to pay for rice and then simply getting the worst rice ever just hurts a lot. My 5 days in fridge microwaved basmati rice is better than this one. And 5 years ago it was still a deserved 5 stars yikes

I feel so lucky to have discovered this place. Tianfuzius offers a huge menu of creative, meat-free Chinese dishes. The dim sum really stands out for the bold flavour and inventive fillings. The restaurant is quite large, so you have a reasonable chance of a table without a reservation. The team really makes you feel welcome - so warm and attentive.

Cozy vegan restaurant with a good selection and delicious food. Unfortunately the waiter was very unfriendly and didn't make you feel welcome as a guest. Too bad! Apart from that, great.

The food was very tasty. It's very loud in the restaurant, so it's not well dampened, which is important to me personally because I get distracted quickly. I can especially recommend the soft eggplant. And then me and my friend got a bad stomach ache the next day..

Super vegan place - everything is good

The food was super delicious. Most meals were available in a smaller size at around half the price, which made sharing and trying new dishes a breeze. Staff was really friendly and gave my dog a water bowl.

It looked nice from the outside, but after waiting for over 20 minutes and being told that our colleague was coming soon, we were told rather bluntly that no new guests would be accepted. Then we went to the Asian restaurant around the corner, which was the better choice in every respect.

We like coming to Tianfuzius. There are very tasty vegan dishes. When we asked, we were also told that the menu was out of date and that everything was probably vegan. The morel salad, the sour and spicy soup and the fried noodles are particularly recommended. But only if I have to decide. We didn't like the dishes with substitute products such as duck or chicken. But that's a matter of taste. The Cheezecake is definitely recommended! We always like to come back. We have never had the experience of unfriendly service on any of our visits.

DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTED, SERVICE HUGE! EVEN THE DOG FOUND THE FOOD AGAIN AND SPIT IT OUT. We came here by train from Spandau and were actually looking forward to delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. First of all, we had to wait almost 15 minutes to get a table, even though there were several full of dirty, uncleared dishes. After being ignored a few times as we walked past, we were finally able to order food. Unfortunately we were forgotten and had a waiting time of 2 hours, even though we were pointed out several times. The dirty dishes were not cleared from the table. The food itself just tasted disgusting. Hardly seasoned, the dumplings without sauce were tasteless and everything was placed on a few spice leaves which looked as if they had been left out in the open for hours and dried out. We asked several times if we could pack our food, whereupon our question was ignored with empty hands. It started to rain, but we were refused permission to extend the rain cover, so we had to sit half wet. After paying, we asked for the euro that was left on the bill, which was then slammed onto the table in annoyance. In the end, when we got back home, we fed the food we had finally packed to the dog, but even he spat it out again. That's why it's now where it belongs and where it came from in terms of taste. Into the trash. You deserved to go broke. I have never had such brazen service in my life.

Every vegan and vegetarian should experience the unique vegan Chinese restaurant in Berlin! I'm here for the third time and will definitely come again. Authentic cuisine, in a beautiful old building in a beautiful location in Schöneberg, at a fair price. Top recommendation!!!

Dumplings were not completely cooked. Unfortunately, they were still “dough”. Lotus roots were shown as fried, but were deep fried in a breading. It's a shame because we found the frying oil and the oil used for cooking in general to be rancid. We were one of the first customers there and the oil tasted very rancid. I don't even want to know how old the oil was. Only the mapo tofu tasted good (probably because it wasn't cooked in rancid oil). The duck was also an absolute failure, the rancid frying fat completely masked the taste. We paid around €80 for two people including drinks. Way too expensive for what it actually is.

I've never been treated so terribly by a waiter. I was accused of saying that as a customer I should “read everything carefully beforehand” and not ask stupid questions. Because I had enough time to read the very long map. When I asked the waiter what kind of way of talking to customers he was even more condescending. Please avoid these shops. That `s not worth it!

Very good menu, liked many of the things, hard to decide. Ordered fried rice with tofu, Chinese broccoli and many varieties of mushrooms that were fried with chili and coriander. Incredibly tasty and delicious. We had lunch there, would happily return for dinner.

Something had changed about this restaurant was disheartening and very disappointing. I came to dinner appointment 1h earlier because I was nearby and it's rainy outside. So I asked to sit down to order a tea to wait for my friend. The whole restaurant was empathy, no customers, and I was the only one there. And the male waiter was extremely rude, arrogant and asked me to leave: 'This is a restaurant, if you need to wait for your friend, go to a cafe. This table is reserved for other customers.' I used to like this place because of the food, but I will never come back again because of this kind of rude and heatless attitude towards customers. I went to Goji instead, which is 1min away, also a Chinese restaurant. The owner is extremely kind and allowed me to order a tea and wait for my friend. So if you want to have a nice dinner with nice vibe and great Chinese food, go to Goji instead.

Extremely presumptuous and rude male waitress! Pride comes before a fall, and we will leave our money with another vegan in the future. Thank God there are a lot of them in Berlin! :-)

I was there about 2 weeks ago, the food was really incredibly tasty and really impressed me!! I will definitely come back, but unfortunately I found the atmosphere unpleasant due to a somewhat rude employee, the weather was nice and when I politely asked if I could eat outside, I was only answered "No, then you won't be served", then I was asked if I'm aware that I'm in a vegetarian restaurant. Yes, I was, it's written in capital letters at the entrance. The condition came to the table late and when we wanted to order more we had to go to the front because no one came. However, the woman who came to pay was very friendly and accommodating, which saved my mood!

Been there an average of 5 times a month in the last six months, ordering regularly via Wolt and to take away; Today, however, when I asked for a reservation on the phone, I was treated rudely and impolitely. It's a shame, that's how you scare away regular guests! There are two female waitresses, both of whom are great and very personable. Then an older guy who speaks little German but tries very hard. And then there is a younger guy who is unfortunately rude and rude. Unfortunately, this drags down the entire experience. This way of dealing with guests is really a shame.
