*** Update *** Für eine Feier mit ungefähr 100 Personen hatten wir ein Buffet bestellt und geliefert bekommen. Alles bestens, frisch und reichlich, pünktlich geliefert und (wie immer) super lecker. Danke! Alle waren des Lobes voll ... ——— Wir sind schon lange begeisterte Kunden der Seerose, schon damals im Mehringdamm. Damals wie heute ist es immer ein voller Genuss und waren spontan hier, haben wie immer sehr lecker gegessen und auch gleich ein Catering gebucht. Wir freuen uns auf das erstklassige Essen. Und ja, wir waren wieder viel zu lange nicht bei euch, wir kommen hoffentlich wieder öfter bei euch vorbei, es sind halt doch zwei U-Bahnstationen Entfernung, die uns früher noch spontaner im Mehringdamm bei euch erscheinen ließen.

Vielfältiges, immer leckeres, von der iranischen Küche inspiriertes Buffet (vegetarisch/vegan und etwas Fisch), alles sorgfältig und schön zubereitet, sehr hilfsbereites Team bei Fragen, die Portionen flexibel und bezahlbar - höchstens das Platzangebot ist mal top, mal weniger (weil manche Gäste nicht wie gedacht ihr Geschirr abräumen...) Die Seerose ist seit Jahren mein Lieblingsziel zum Abendessen in Berlin!

Das Essen ist essbar und zum Teil auch lecker aber total lieblos auf den viel zu kleinen Teller geklatscht. Immerhin wird man satt.

Tolle vegane und glutenfreie Auswahl – die meisten Salate und 3-4 Hauptgerichte zur Auswahl. Familiäre Atmosphäre, aber auch alleine war es super!

Das Essen war gut, aber die Auswahl war nicht besonders groß. Die Bedienung sprach kein Wort Englisch. Sie tat so, als sei ihr Kassensystem kaputt, um ohne Quittung Geld zu kassieren … nicht gut.

Richtig tolles Lokal. Eine ansteckende gute Laune und Freundlichkeit. Alle hier lieben was sie tun und das schmeckt man, und zwar im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Der erste Gedanke, der mir in den Kopf sprang war LIEBE, egal was man vom Buffet wählt alles schmeckt unglaublich gut, weil hier einfach mit ganz viel Liebe gekocht wird. Die Locals gehen hier ein und aus. Essen, nehmen dann zusätzlich noch was mit. Wenn es mehr von diesen Orten gäbe, dann hätten wir auf der Welt weniger Probleme. Ganz lieben Dank! 💋

Ich habe ein schlechtes Gewissen, weil ich Essen bestelle, anstatt persönlich vorbeizukommen, aber ich wohne weit weg und das Essen von hier ist immer lecker und nahrhaft. Ich werde früher oder später vorbeikommen, versprochen!

Ich liebe das Seerose!!!!!! Das Essen ist fantastisch! Jedes Mal! Das Restaurant ist so voller Kunst, frischen Rosen auf dem Tisch, ältere Gemälden an den Wänden. Einer liebenswürdigen Grande Dame am Tresen, die mit ihrer ruhigen und geduldigen Art ein Gefühl von Zuhause entfacht. Ich fühle mich an manchen Tagen wie ein Kind, das Essen wie bei Mama bekommt und es ist mit viel Ruhe und Liebe zu sich nehmen darf.. Seerose ist ein Stück Heimat am sehr angenehm Südstern gelegen. Ich finds mega Der Service ist der Hammer ist von Haus getrieben und alle so soooo nett.Man kann hier nichts falsches tuhen. Meine Essens Empfehlung: gnocchi mit Tomaten Soße und die Tortellini mit Spinat, ich mag keinen Spinat aber die Soße ist de Knaller

A fantastic restaurant for vegetarians and anyone who wants to enjoy first-class food at a reasonable price in a pleasant atmosphere! Absolutely fantastic!

Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a vegan selection that day. The vegan dishes were all basically vegetable stir-fries. I had expected a bit more from a vegetarian restaurant. The food tasted quite good, though. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions. The ambiance, unfortunately, felt a bit run-down and outdated.

A cozy restaurant, though a bit chilly in winter and (in my opinion) too dark, with a consistently vegetarian buffet from which guests can choose two to four items to create a dish on appropriately sized plates. Today we only indulged in the cake selection, including a delicious chocolate cream cake, and we'd gladly return. They also offered nut cake and Black Forest cherry cake. The vegetarian buffet selection is so delicious that we ordered some items for a party (see below). The following review refers ONLY to the catering service of the Seerose restaurant. We ordered a catering package from the Seerose's online menu for a party of 20 guests, including various salads, hot vegetarian dishes, and chocolate mousse for dessert. We then received an email with a quote as requested, including delivery and pickup service. Everything was delivered to our apartment, complete with two chafing dishes, plates, and cutlery, and set up on the buffet tables. We ordered a catering package for a party of 20 guests from the Seerose's online menu. The food tasted just as delicious to us and all our guests as it would have been if we had eaten similar dishes in a restaurant. The used equipment was collected as agreed two days later. We were very satisfied and highly recommend the service.

A blend of Italian and Persian cuisine, fresh juices and salads, and a very pleasant ambiance with indoor and outdoor tables. Had lunch twice since we enjoyed the first so much. Many options to choose from, all were very appealing and what I actually chose was in fact very good! Only thing I feel wasn’t as good were the salads (included in the small plate formula), but regardeless the place is very paris-like and quiet, perfect for a lunch break. People were also kind and professional, would definitely recommend!

I had lunch here with friends. It was truly delicious and exceeded my expectations! All the dishes are super fresh and deliciously prepared with fresh ingredients. I chose tortellini, lasagna, and gnocchi. You also get two kinds of salads. A medium plate is already quite a filling plate. I would recommend it and will definitely return if I ever visit Berlin again! The waitresses were also very friendly! Thanks!

After 15 years, I returned to the Seerose, which I remembered from Mehringdamm. The food was okay, but I was charged €3 too much when I paid. That's unacceptable. It was my last visit.

Das vegetarische Restaurant Seerose liegt direkt am U-Bahnhof Südstern. Das Publikum ist sehr gemischt. Aus zwei, nur dem Personal zugänglichen Vitrinen werden vielfältige warme Gerichte und Salate angeboten. Die warmen Gerichte werden in der Mikrowelle erwärmt. Dadurch habe ich noch bei keinem Besuch einen Qualitätsverlust bemerkt. Ich entschied mich für einen mittleren Teller mit drei Gerichten, Spinatauflauf, Kartoffelgratin und Moussaka. Nach dem Aufwärmen konnte ich noch Couscous und einen Salat wählen. Ich entschied mich für Kichererbsensalat. Alle Speisen waren differenziert gewürzt. Das Gemüse war auf den Punkt gegart. Die Seerose hält seit vierig Jahren ihre gute und verlässliche Qualität. Der Generationswechsel ist gelungen.

An absolute dream restaurant. Super friendly service, huge portions, and simply amazing taste!

A canteen style restaurant where you choose food from the display, they serve it on your plate and you pay. Pretty basic ambience, but welcoming. The food itself, which is all vegetarian, is very good with a home made feel to it because they kitchen is right there on the other side of the counter. They make fresh squeezed fruit juice on demand, none of the bottle stuff. I have been here three times and the food is consistent in taste. The variety is wide as well as overall quite healthy without being greasy. Almost all of their offerings are of the baked kind. On the flip side, the service during lunch hour is slooowwww. Only one person plating your order and another person warming it up. They seem to have all the time in world. Based on my three experiences, if you have 8 people in front of you waiting their turn, then expect 20 min of wait time. But they service with a smile which is good. Overall it’s a pleasant place to sit and eat. The last time my friend and I both had the Kleiner Teller, each with 2 main dishes, couscous and a fresh bean salad. Between the two of us we sampled 8 different things. Each Kleiner Teller: €9,50.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Berlin…everything delicious, great atmosphere, great service, everything clean and beautiful.

Great value for money if you're really hungry and have plenty of room in your stomach! There's a good variety of vegan dishes, and the portions are huge! We had two medium portions with three selected dishes plus a salad of your choice. Rice was also included, and the plate was very full—the portions were much larger than expected. 😅 The dishes had a great variety of flavors and were well-seasoned.

Seerose is a lovely place for a relaxed meal with good quality and appealing flavors. The dishes are individually arranged on the plate, creating a fresh impression – the salad is layered directly on the plate. The plate is very full, and the different dishes are well-mixed. The flavors are solid and good, although some ingredients could still be improved in terms of spice or refinement. The presentation takes some getting used to, but you can tell that attention is paid to freshness. Overall, a pleasant experience that leaves you wanting more.

Well, what can I say? The food was okay. However, I noticed two things negatively: you couldn't pay with a Visa card and the manager was probably having a very bad day: a young man came into the restaurant and asked very politely if he could perhaps use the toilet (for a fee), as the public toilet in front of the door was probably very dirty or broken. The way this man was treated by the boss was anything but friendly. He certainly didn't look like he was doing any nonsense in the toilet. To treat a person in need like this is not worthy of this restaurant.

Large selection of buffets at fair prices. However, food is reheated in the microwave. As a non-vegan/vegetarian it appealed to me in such a mediocre way, but I'm probably the wrong target group. Service and atmosphere very nice.

Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant run by a nice family, so when you eat there, they'll treat you like their own child. Their food is the closest to what my mother and grandmother used to cook (of Iranian descent, for the cultural food enthusiasts). And their prices are more than fair considering the location, amount and quality of food you get. P.s. all of those comments that say "It's microwave heated...", it's buffet choice heated in a mini oven.

Good vegetarian food at a good price.

I stumbled across this gem of a place after not finding a table at an overcrowded, overpriced hipster brunch place nearby. This was such a breath of fresh air in comparison. Delicious veggie and vegan food, no frills. Some gluten free options as well. It’s women-run and the owner (I think) was very friendly and accommodating of my dietary restrictions. For 9€ you can get a heaping plate of two delicious mains, rice, and salad. There’s plenty of space inside, with big wooden antique tables, direct sunlight, no music so pretty quiet and peaceful. Will be coming back for sure 💚

Small restaurant with self-service at the counter, drinks are served. The food was good, I can't say anything about the price/performance ratio. We were invited by good friends.

I've been going there (at Mehringdamm and then at Südstern) for 25 years. The quality has remained and so is the atmosphere and the nice Persian people. I love it there.

Super cozy location with a nice outdoor area. I became aware of this restaurant while looking for a buffet restaurant so that we could all get our money's worth. I was a little disappointed to find that it wasn't a buffet in the usual sense. You have to make a decision at the buffet display case whether you want a small, medium or large plate. Depending on the size of the plate, you can try 2, 3 or 4 different dishes that are put on your plate. You order directly at the display case, pay there and serve yourself. We opted for the large plate twice. 1 x with warm dishes and 1 x with cold starters and salads. The hot dishes were warmed up in the microwave. Unfortunately the sauces all mixed together too much. If you have 4 warm dishes, there is also an extra salad. I only chose 2 warm dishes (grilled vegetables 2 variants which I preferred cold) and because of the only 2 warm dishes I got 3 salads. That was very attentive and accommodating. The grilled vegetables were very pleasantly seasoned with herbs, garlic and a nice spiciness, but far too oily. There was an extra dressing for the salads. I didn't need it because the salads were already marinated. The large plate with 4 dishes costs EUR 16.50, which is too expensive in my opinion. In total, I paid EUR 41 for 2 large plates, 1 black coffee and a Bionade, including a EUR 1.50 tip. The coffee was excellent. Hot, strong and creamy. I would love to come back and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and dessert in a cozy atmosphere.

Riesige Auswahl frisch zubereiteter vollwertiger Speisen. Man kann zwischen -zig Salaten und Aufläufen/Reis-/Getreidegerichten etc. wählen und zahlt nach Tellergröße, d.h. der Appetit bestimmt den Preis. Das Ganze holt man sich an der Theke und nimmt in einer Kneipe Platz, die ein wenig Großmutters Wohnung voller Trödel und liebevoller Andenken ähnelt oder an die Stadteilzentren der Kommunen der 80er Jahre erinnert. Die Zeit scheint hier stillzustehen - im positiven Sinne.

Tasty and great looking vegetarian food. Choose a small plate for two servings of the food you like, a medium for 3 servings and large for 4. No card payment is a bit inconvenient, but other than that, I'd recommend this restaurant.

Relaxed buffet style cafe, the portions are good for the price and there is a good variety of hot and cold salads to choose from. The hot meals are mostly vegetarian but some vegan options, the cold salads are all vegan.

Could be nice...but the “food” reminds me a lot of the slob from The Matrix! Vegetarian can also look good

Brussels sprouts were overly sweetened. you can have your meal put together. Choice of 3, everything comes on a small plate, which looks unaesthetic.

First-class vegetarian food that you can put together yourself. Great ambience that is second to none. Two very nice terraces. But the best thing is the unimaginably great friendliness and warmth of the operator and his employees. For me, this is one of the few all-round positive places in Berlin - and I know a hell of a lot of them.

This place serves a buffet with vegetarian options. It’s possible to choose the warm options or the salads in three sizes of plates. My friends had the medium warm and I had the medium salad. I was surprised to see that my “medium” was actually way smaller than theirs. When I asked what was the small size then, they couldn’t answer. It felt like a rip off… unfortunately I won’t go back…

A large and "beautiful" variety of delicious dishes that taste like home-made and can be combined with each other. Everything is vegetarian or even vegan, but as a non-vegetarian I don't even notice - everything is simply delicious, at fair prices.

Posto molto carino ed accogliente. Le signore che ci hanno servito sono molto simpatiche e gentili. Ci sono andata a cena, insieme alla mia famiglia, perché io e mia figlia siamo vegetariane e dopo qualche giorno di cucina tipica avevamo desiderio di qualcosa di prettamente vegetale e leggero. Questo locale è stato una piacevolissima scoperta: cibo buonissimo e porzioni abbondanti ( si può scegliere la dimensione della porzione tra small, medium e large e la medium è davvero abbondante!) I prezzi sono quelli di un fast food. Non c'è servizio ai tavoli ma è tutto bene organizzato e si consuma il pasto con il massimo confort perché tovaglioli e posate sono a portata di mano. Se dovessi tornare a Berlino ci tornerei sicuramente.

Food ok. It's not an all-you-can-eat buffet, you choose your food and have it put on your plate, no refills. The water was too expensive and the service wasn't very friendly.

An absolute culinary highlight (especially for vegetarians). As soon as you enter the restaurant, the atmosphere feels like a warm hug. It's a very cozy place to sit with classic, old-fashioned decor. The conditions are so lovely and really make you feel welcome. There is a changing buffet with fresh, different dishes to choose from. The plate prices are more than okay and everyone can find something here: from various pasta dishes to fresh salads, potato dishes and casseroles - every dish is prepared with a lot of love and tastes delicious. The Seerose is a restaurant that conveys a homely atmosphere and the delicious dishes invite you to dream yourself back to cozy childhood memories.

I come here since years, the food is delicious, staff usually nice and you get a feeling of being at home. Unfortunately the prices increased significantly. The photo attached is small dish with 2 meals and a salat - 9 €! The prices increased over 3/4 years from 5,9 €.

Saturday evening, the first time in the Seerose since they moved away from Mehringdamm, is now further away, but I like the location at Südstern much better because of the more spacious space. It was also the first time that I decided on the large plate with four dishes (10 euros), plus a large apple spritzer (4.50 euros). It was delicious, my visit also enjoyed it, and the staff was super friendly, so I'll be back more often in the future.

Very tasty vegetarian food at an affordable price in a refined interior. You choose the size of the plate, the small one comes with two dishes, the large one with four. We tried lasagna with spinach, beans, moussaka, lentil salad. You can pay in cash or with a special German card.

Gladly 5 but unfortunately only 2 stars. The atmosphere is inviting and has something cozy about it. The selection of dishes is really great and everything tasted good. But 3 points are deducted for killing the great and nutritious food in the microwave.
