The VIEW Skylounge & Bar in Düsseldorf

Bad service!! The guests left for over 20 minutes and took everything with them and after we got a seat, they showed up 20 minutes later and the waiter said we should get out of there!!! Don't waste your money! Qomo sky restaurant is much better!

We celebrated our wedding at The View at the end of September. Now we're back to everyday life and definitely want to leave a review because we're as happy as one can be with the location. First of all, the location above the roofs of the Media Harbor is fantastic and offers just such a view. We received excellent support from the event managers Janine, Julia and Thushanti right from the planning phase. They were always available for us and knew what was possible and what wasn't. They came up with great suggestions and were always open to suggestions from us. In the end, the implementation corresponded 100% to our ideas and wishes, thank you for helping us with the final preparations! A huge thank you also to Robin and his service team, who accompanied us the entire time with perfect service. There was never a glass empty and there was always water on the table. Every wish was catered for, everyone was super nice and we had a lot of fun with you! Of course also thanks to the super delicious cocktails! Big compliment to the kitchen too! The buffet was always well stocked, all the dishes were as we wanted them, very tasty and our guests and we are still raving about it. After the celebration, we were able to go straight to our room a few floors below and end the next morning with a delicious breakfast. Thank you for making our dream wedding even more dreamy! The candlelight dinner is not recommended. After it took weeks to find an appointment, we had to wait over an hour until we had something to eat, despite having booked in advance. This was then explained as an error in the order. It can happen, but then at least buy a drink or something. Unfortunately, the four courses were very sparse (example: a single ravioli) and not really tasty either. We went home hungry, and we were allowed to pay extra for drinks (water), in addition to the €160 for two.

Brunch at “The View” – for the first and last time First of all: 30 minutes before we arrived there was a fire alarm. It's understandable that everything is a bit confused. But: -Nevertheless, you can expect that your request for a window seat will be taken into account (especially if you have already expressed this in the reservation and there are still free seats) -that you don't have to wait 45 minutes to even order a coffee -that the water glasses are clean -that the floor is not completely full of crumbs (we were there 15 minutes after opening) -the coffee spoons are clean -that the “brioche” is really what it is and not just some dry baked paste -The bench has seen better days (1m next to me the upholstery was completely torn) Added to that -Due to a malfunction in the kitchen, we could only choose between 3 dishes -We had to wait another 45 minutes for this, even though it wasn't particularly full and the bread wasn't really particularly prepared. The positive: -the view is actually really great At least we got 10% and a voucher for a free coffee the next time we go there. I think that won't happen again...

Personally, I didn't have a good experience with the View Skylounge for brunch. There was no drinks menu, so we didn't know the selection or prices of the drinks. When eating we only had a choice of three bread dishes, as there had apparently been a power outage some time before and therefore the kitchen appliances were not yet 100% operational. No problem at all, but what didn't work is that we waited almost two hours for a simple bread with avocado and salad. Something like this can be done within 5 minutes. In addition, all the other guests around us received their food well in advance, even though they arrived much later. I'm assuming our food was forgotten but it wasn't communicated to us. It's a shame actually.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. We were really looking forward to a Sunday brunch. When we arrived we were immediately thrilled by the great location. You have a wonderful view over the whole city! However, we were already greeted with the fact that there were technical difficulties due to a fire alarm and that it was taking a while, which we didn't think was bad at all. However, waiting a little bit turned out to mean 2 hours. And that for two sandwiches. It was only upon request (after 1.5 hours) that we were told that our food was now being prepared. The food was tasty, but rather average, so not worth the wait. There was no apology or compensation and in general the service was really bad and inattentive - despite the high standards of the location. It's totally understandable that problems sometimes arise, but dealing with them speaks for itself! I would absolutely not recommend. Not even the great view could comfort us.

First cocktail good then no one came to the table again to take a next order. Wouldn’t come back ever

Came here last week during our nightly stay in the hotel. Booked a last minute table and it did not disappoint. We had some good service, quality food and good wine. It is not type of restaurant you wanna go and grab a quick bite and go back to your room. It’s more a fancy restaurant to put on some nice clothes and take your time having dinner. The restaurant concludes a bar with a great view as well. Personally we found the pricing of the food and wines very very decent and nothing out of the ordinary.

We recently visited this restaurant, hoping to celebrate an important event for us, but, unfortunately, everything went extremely poorly. The acceptance of the order took an incredibly long time - it seemed that we were simply being ignored. When they finally paid attention to us, the staff’s manner of communication left much to be desired: clients were treated with disdain, without the slightest interest. It seems that cordiality and care for guests are not known here at all. They constantly forgot to bring orders; they had to remind themselves several times. This ultimately ruined the whole holiday and mood. It seems that customer focus for this establishment is an empty phrase. The only bright moment in all this is the work of the waitress Alexandra. She was attentive and polite, unlike the others, but, unfortunately, one conscientious employee was not enough to save the overall impression of the evening.

The overall impression was spoiled from the start. It seemed like none of the staff were interested in good service and customers didn't seem to be a priority at all. Basic politeness was lacking and even decency left something to be desired. The order was filled with huge delays and when it was finally brought it didn't even match our order. Instead of apologizing, the staff showed indifference, as if they didn't care at all about our displeasure. The only thing that deserves a positive mention is Alexandra's work. She was the only one who showed attention and care for the guests. Without their professionalism our visit would have been even worse. All in all, we would definitely not recommend this restaurant. The quality of service and behavior of the staff are absolutely unacceptable!

The attitude towards visitors in this establishment leaves much to be desired. The service is poor and the staff are rude. The service was untimely: the waiter did not consider it necessary to take orders for the main courses and constantly forgot about our drinks. It felt like we had to persuade the staff to serve us. The only pleasant moment was the work of Alexandra, who turned out to be the only friendly and understanding person in the company of the establishment’s staff!

Terrible service, rude staff, except Alexandra, ruined holiday! They allowed him to come with his child, but at the same time forbade him to move around the hall, arguing that a child who wanted to dance for 5 minutes was disturbing the staff! They forgot about the order, ignored it, and finally refused to accept large bills. They were scared by the police! Absolutely unacceptable behavior in the entertainment industry!

Went to the Skylounge on October 7th to 8th to toast my friend's birthday. Super great atmosphere with a great view and warm-hearted employees who are always concerned about your well-being. The employee Ivan and his warmth should be mentioned here, who made our evening even more wonderful and served us a wonderful birthday cocktail. TOP LOCATION, KEEP IT UP🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was a little disappointed with the ambience. I would have been there on a Friday evening with lots of people. Guests expected, but there were only a few tables occupied. The view is really great. The food tasted really great. Although the portions were manageable, we didn't leave the restaurant hungry, The wine recommendation with the meal was also great! Basically, I would recommend handing out a new edition of the menus. These gave the impression that they were about to shatter. Which is a real shame.

The Bartender was spectacular, he really knew how to do cocktails and to present and serve them, we started with cocktails as an appetitive before moving to our table and the cocktails where really fantastic! Also 5 star for the Bartender. we will for sure be back, The food was also really good a fusion and creative dishes, very well presented, really good tasting dishes. The Chef has a lot of imagination and good hand to present and prepare the dishes. Congratulations ! we went there expecting nothing and came out very impressed. Enjoy we did had a fantastic dinner.

My partner and I went out to dinner on the occasion of our anniversary, unfortunately the evening wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped. Although the atmosphere was very nice and the food was delicious, there was a company party that evening, which made the waiters seem overwhelmed. This resulted in us having to wait a long time for our order to be taken. Overall the atmosphere was very hectic which made us feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the waiters were of course friendly to us. Before making the reservation, I asked whether I could order the harbor menu on site, which was confirmed. However, when I went to order it, I was informed that it was not available due to the company party that evening. I found that very disappointing as I was looking forward to it. I also found the portion sizes to be very small, even though the food tasted really good. There probably won't be a second visit.

Phew…. really hard. Ambience ok, service sometimes takes a long time. If you have to say three times that you want to pay, it's really pushing the limit. When we asked if we wanted bread in advance, which also cost €3, it didn't matter at first. But when a sliced ​​bread roll came, it was ridiculous. The main course tasted ok, nothing more. But the portions don't match the price at all. Hence our first and last visit.

On August 16, 2024, I visited the Skybar in Düsseldorf with two friends, and I regret to say that our experience was far below the expectations one would have of a renowned establishment of this caliber. When we arrived we were left standing at reception for over five minutes without anyone greeting us or showing us to a table. In an upscale bar, I expect first-class service from the start. Finally we decided to look for a place ourselves as the staff seemed to be overwhelmed with only eight tables occupied. When we finally sat down, we were approached by a waiter who asked us if we hadn't been welcomed. He seated us in the middle of the room even though we specifically preferred a table by the window. When we asked, we were told that we could be moved as soon as a window seat became available. When this finally happened and we moved around, we were confronted abruptly and in an inappropriate tone by the supposed leader of the evening. He criticized our behavior and lectured us that the table hadn't been cleaned yet, which we found to be condescending and disrespectful. Even in a situation where misunderstandings occur, staff should always remain polite and courteous. In this case, a friendly explanation would have been sufficient and would have defused the situation. Overall, the visit to the Skybar was a big disappointment. The service was both inattentive and rude, which is completely unacceptable in a bar of this caliber. I can therefore not make a recommendation and will prefer other locations in the future.

Am 16. August 2024 besuchte ich zusammen mit zwei Freunden die Skybar in Düsseldorf, und ich muss leider sagen, dass unsere Erfahrung weit unter den Erwartungen lag, die man an eine renommierte Einrichtung dieses Kalibers stellt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir für über fünf Minuten am Empfang stehen gelassen, ohne dass uns jemand begrüßte oder zu einem Tisch führte. In einer gehobenen Bar erwarte ich einen erstklassigen Service von Anfang an. Schließlich entschieden wir uns, selbst einen Platz zu suchen, da das Personal anscheinend mit den lediglich acht besetzten Tischen überfordert war. Als wir uns schließlich gesetzt hatten, wurden wir von einem Kellner angesprochen, der uns fragte, ob wir nicht empfangen worden seien. Er platzierte uns in der Mitte des Raumes, obwohl wir ausdrücklich einen Tisch am Fenster bevorzugten. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin wurde uns gesagt, dass wir uns umsetzen könnten, sobald ein Fensterplatz frei würde. Als dies schließlich der Fall war und wir uns umsetzten, wurden wir abrupt und in einem unangemessenen Ton von dem angeblichen Leiter des Abends zur Rede gestellt. Er kritisierte unser Verhalten und belehrte uns, dass der Tisch noch nicht gereinigt sei, was wir als herablassend und respektlos empfanden. Selbst in einer Situation, in der Missverständnisse auftreten, sollte das Personal stets höflich und zuvorkommend bleiben. Eine freundliche Erklärung wäre in diesem Fall ausreichend gewesen und hätte die Situation entschärft. Insgesamt war der Besuch in der Skybar eine große Enttäuschung. Der Service war sowohl unaufmerksam als auch unhöflich, was in einer Bar dieser Klasse völlig inakzeptabel ist. Ich kann daher keine Empfehlung aussprechen und werde in Zukunft andere Locations bevorzugen.

Ich bin kürzlich nach Erkrath gezogen und wollte einen angenehmen Abend verbringen. Es bediente mich ein sehr netter Kellner, Herr Ivan, Ben, Jan, Hasayin. Die Bedienung war hervorragend, Herr Hasayin hat meinen Cocktail sogar selbst zubereitet. Insgesamt waren alle Kellner sehr zuvorkommend. Am späten Abend habe ich noch eine Kleinigkeit gegessen und bin anschließend mit dem Taxi nach Erkrath zurück gefahren. Gerne komme ich wieder! This lounge & bar is a hit!!! The view over the whole of Düsseldorf is stunning... both in the morning and in the evening. The service leaves nothing to be desired. Very presentable, but not intrusive... that's how you imagine excellent service. The food was excellent!!! Vegetarian options are also included at breakfast. When it comes to coffee ☕️ there is a selection of normal milk, as well as oat and soy milk. The same goes for muesli, of course. There is also enough for vegetarians for breakfast. The dinner was, as expected, excellent. Compliments to the chef! This bar is located on the 16th floor of the Hotel Inside Hafen near Melia, and is easily accessible via the elevator. A clear recommendation from me!!! As soon as I am back in Düsseldorf I will definitely visit this lounge & bar.

I visited the restaurant for dinner with my friend this evening. We are both very, very enthusiastic about everything. Above all, the waiter in charge was so professional and attentive that we had a very successful evening. The quality of the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the Kokteyls. The price-performance ratio was very convincing. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

Delicious food, attentive service and a chic first impression. The VIEW – the name says it all. On the 16th floor of the hotel, the restaurant offers a sweeping view of Düsseldorf. Depending on where you sit, you have a view of the harbor or the neighboring town of Neuss. The food was lovingly and beautifully prepared. We had the tomato variation and the tartare. Both were delicious and the quality of the individual components was top. However, the tartare could have been a bit more, but it was just the starter. For the main course we ordered the veal entrecôte with mashed potatoes and chanterelles. In terms of taste, the dish really appealed to us. Both pieces of meat were just a little too fatty. We would have liked a little more quantity for the hefty price. The dessert, the chocolate variation, was excellent. Almost everything was right here, except for the jelly. In our opinion, that shouldn't have been on the plate. Still recommended! The service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He gave us good advice and was always there when we wanted to order something to drink or reorder. We were also informed when we could expect the next course. At first glance the restaurant looks modern and stylish, but at second glance you can see that it has already hosted a few guests. It wouldn't hurt the ambience if you dusted the window sills or cleaned the radiators of stains. A more lively table decoration would also be desirable. The service we had was very attentive and did its job completely. Our meals were tasty, but the quantities could have been a little larger. A visit is recommended for anyone with a small appetite and a desire for good service.

Unfortunately the evening was very bad today, we had a candlelight dinner. Very poor selection, the soup is a smooth 6, water with cream and oil. Pea soup looks different. Both of our glasses were not clean. Unfortunately, this store has slacked off a lot. for 169 euros for 2 people there should be more. Price performance doesn't fit at all. Dear people, please remember cleanliness and quality work.

Love the view there. Also the light music. Always a very nice place to chill. Ideal for couples, dates, etc. If you just want to have a chat, the bar offers an atmosphere for that. Even if you don't know whether you want to eat or just drink.

The ambience and bar are very nice with great live music. From our point of view, the price-performance ratio is not right. A cocktail for €17 that doesn't come close to those from other bars in terms of taste. The service was inattentive and we probably had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come over to order or pay, even though the bar wasn't full. That could be better, hence the 2 star deduction.

The drinks here are very exclusive and the ambience is very classy. But above all, we were impressed by the waiter. It's best to let Ivan serve you. This man just has it. Class service.

Staff more than needs improvement!!! It is very shocking that friendliness and respect are alien to the staff. Also shocking is the racist behavior that was displayed by the staff (receptionist) during our visit. I've never experienced anything like that!

Restaurant on the top floor (16) of the Melia Hotel in the Medienhafen with - when the weather is good - a great view over Düsseldorf. In addition to the restaurant area, there is also a large bar and - at least on this evening - a DJ. So the noise level was higher, but not unpleasant. The seating was typically narrow in Düsseldorf, but since the restaurant wasn't fully booked, it was okay. We had the 5-course harbor menu, which was very well prepared and presented and tasted very good. The quality of the open red and white wines was also very good. The service was very friendly, but the meal took far too long, almost 3 hours for a 5-course menu is far too long. Everything was okay in terms of price, I only found the beer to be very expensive. I would come back.

Restaurant im obersten Stockwerk (16) des Melia Hotels im Medienhafen mit - bei gutem Wetter - toller Aussicht über Düsseldorf. Neben dem Restaurantbereich ist auch eine große Bar dort und - wenigstens an diesem Abend - ein DJ. Somit war das Geräuschniveau höher, aber nicht unangenehm. Bestuhlung was Düsseldorf-typisch eng, aber da das Restaurant nicht ganz ausgebucht war, war es okay. Wir hatten das 5-Gang Hafenmenü, welches sehr gut zubereitet und präsentiert war und sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Auch die Qualität der offenen Rot- und Weissweine war sehr gut. Der Service war zwar sehr freundlich, jedoch dauerte das Essen deutlich zu lange, fast 3 Stunden für ein 5-Gänge Menü sind viel zu lang. Preislich war alles okay, einzig das Bier empfand ich als sehr teuer. Ich würde wiederkommen.

I had a wonderful evening with my best friend yesterday. The atmosphere and the view are simply delightful. The food was sensational and delicious. And the waitress did everything perfectly, recommended the best wine and cocktail and took great care of us throughout the evening. Thanks Ivan again for this! The evening will be remembered!

Great bar and nice restaurant on the 16th floor. Worth it for a special evening over Düsseldorf. The bar and restaurant share the same room upstairs. Restaurant and bar not over-candied but simply with style. There are bar tables and lounge corners for the bar. The music isn't too intrusive. Simply go to the 16th floor and enjoy drinks and cocktails at the bar. Magnificent view over the whole of Düsseldorf. Music wasn't too loud and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff was top. From the first second at the reception until the farewell. This is how you make guests happy. Friendly and attentive. The cocktails explained in detail with wit and humor. We previously redeemed a voucher for candle light dinner for 142.00. The menu was good and the staff was outstanding. Everything was delicious but 142 set the standard. The asparagus cream soup is top. Doesn't get any better. The asparagus foam is great. Salad with goat cheese is unfortunately too simple. Shrimp cocktail 2x mini spoons - not enough. Hummus with pumpkin and curry is awesome. The main course was the highlight. Perfect sauce.Perfect meat. Dessert - vanilla pudding with mango and hard waffle didn't appeal to me Don't get me wrong, everything was delicious. But 142 - I see as more of a gift. I would prefer the menu. The location also deserves a menu concept with a bar visit afterwards. We had the time slot from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then stayed at the bar until late into the night. The drinks generally remain normal. Aperol 7.50 Glass of red wine 9.00 Beer 5.00 Cocktails with quality 15.00 All appropriate. You don't pay extra for the location. That's the right decision ;-) It was a great evening. Keep it up. Thank you.

I wanted to spend a nice evening here with my wife today. Unfortunately, we were simply sent to our stools at the entrance without much attention. After I asked a colleague if we could sit somewhere else, they said there was no space and there were still free tables. When I gave him the hint we were allowed to move around. When we received the drinks menu and the menu, I wanted to order something small to eat and drinks, and was then told that the kitchen was closed. Unfortunately, I don't know what you need a kitchen for when it comes to nachos and why they present us with the menu, but oh well. Conclusion: Very unfriendly staff, we will definitely not be coming back. Even if the view is really beautiful!

We were there last night (March 20, 2024) from around 10 p.m. to have a drink (as "not hotel guests" - just take the elevator to the 16th floor). Nice view of Düsseldorf / the harbor, very friendly staff and our 2 non-alcoholic cocktails were also very tasty. We'd love to come back.

The View is a good bar at the Medienhafen. The bar itself is beautifully decorated and the service is very accommodating. The cocktails and mocktails are OK, they look very fancy but the taste is nothing special. Of the drinks I drank that evening, I liked the one with the cherry the best. Unfortunately there wasn't much going on that Saturday evening. I would highly recommend the bar for dialogues or getting-to-know-you dates as the music is not too loud and the bar is rather quieter.

Wonderful place. I can not say more! Anyone who says there isn't enough choice: that's the point! 3 different main courses but the food is first class! The service and great, you get small bites so you never sit for more than 4 minutes without food or drinks. If you don't like the food, you can't help it 😂

I was there with my husband yesterday for Valentine's Day. We had received a voucher from MyDays as a gift, which we of course redeemed in advance. The waiter who served us immediately gave me the task of sending him all the details of my voucher again by email and stopped me, it really annoyed me to take care of it again on a day like this, even though I had even received confirmation that the voucher had been successfully redeemed. We waited a very long time at the table for our food, we had a 4th course menu. When asked that we please stop using one in our aisles Serving a long time apart (30 minutes waiting time for a meal) was not accepted. Overall, the food was way too expensive and I didn't like it (soup was like a sauce (too thin), the bread was way too dry and hard! The main course was way too small, almost mini! Worth it for 160 euros Definitely not! Only the ambience of the rooms were elegantly furnished. 2 stars for that

We were looking forward to the evening, unfortunately the man at reception didn't make us feel welcoming! He didn't even look at us while we were talking, then we left straight away, thanks for that. It's a shame, it's a nice atmosphere and I'm sure not every employee is like that.

Unfortunately, since it most likely changed hands, the review is no longer what it once was. You won't be taken seriously there, but not if you take a friend with you who is studying art and therefore doesn't conform to society's ideal in terms of appearance... Equality is not a priority here. Before that, I had always had very good experiences at The View and actually went there regularly. But in some respects, especially in terms of service, The View has deteriorated many times over... - You used to be able to order cocktails off the menu. E.g. classics like Zombie or Mojito. This is probably no longer possible. You couldn't order cocktails from the previous menu, even though it was still available online. - Staff was very unfriendly. There were several couches available and when we wanted to sit there because our current spot was rather uncomfortable, we were loudly complained about by the lady who turned us away at the entrance at 10:30 p.m. In a tone that was anything but friendly. She turned us away even though tables kept becoming free. At some point I wanted to ask someone else because I didn't trust the lady. And suddenly her colleague tells her that she can sit us here. You felt a bit unwelcome. It seemed to us that it was due to the appearance of my colleague, who was dressed normally but had a different hair color. The cocktails were not explained as before, such as how they are made, how they taste, etc. No advice... nothing. The main thing is to cash in quickly. I think that's a real shame, especially when you leave a three-digit amount there. - The cocktails were still very, very good. Since I work in a bar myself and have a home bar, I can judge this quite well. Still, it's a shame to see how The View has deteriorated many times over in terms of service.

A nice place but we didn't like it at all. We came for dessert and drinks. There were only 3 desserts to choose from. Unfortunately, both the drinks and the dessert tasted extremely artificial and far too sweet. For the first time in my life I let something go back because it really wasn't drinkable. The second (recommended) drink was also very artificial but less sweet, so I could drink at least half of it. But the service was good, the waiters were very friendly.

Apart from the beautiful view, not recommended. Service staff seemed listless, no greeting. After 10 minutes we received the drinks menu upon request. Just ordered coffee. Never had such a bad latte macchiato. A disgrace for the price. After that you were no longer noticed. Already sad for the hotel.

Nach einem schönen Besuch in Bar und Restaurant im letzten Jahr, wollten wir das nette Erlebnis wiederholen, was aber leider nicht gelungen ist. Im Vorfeld hatten wir einen schönen Fester Platz in der Bar und für den Anschluss einen Tisch im Restaurant reserviert. Erste Enttäuschung erlebten wir, als uns die Servicekraft an einen Tisch in einer dunklen hinteren Ecke der Bar platzierte, ohne Sicht nach außen, obwohl wir Tage vorher reserviert hatten! Hinweis der Angestellten: sind nun doch schon alle Plätze besetzt und sie konnte aufgrund der anderen drängenden Gäste keinen Platz freihalten!? Nächste Enttäuschung: die Cocktail-Karte war zum Einen eine völlig andere als Online präsentiert und, -viel schlimmer- zudem auch noch stark reduziert. Hinweis des Kellers: ja, hätte man geändert und online eben noch nicht angepasst. Dritte Enttäuschung folgte dann als wir die Restaurantkarte bekamen. Auch hier waren die Gerichte geändert worden, man hatte aber keine der Online-Infos angepasst. Eigentlich alles nicht so schlimm, aber wir hatten uns aufgrund der von uns präferieren Cocktails und der angebotenen Gerichte, die wir im Vorfeld online recherchiert hatten, eben genau für dieses Restaurant und diese Bar entschieden. Aus diesem Grund waren wir frustriert und enttäuscht. Wir stornierten die Restaurantreservierung und blieben für ein paar Drinks, welche im Ganzen ok waren. Später teilte uns eine weitere Servicekraft mit, dass dem Management seit Wochen die Anpassungen der Drinks & Menüs bekannt waren, aber wohl niemand Verantwortung für ein Online-Update übernommen hätte...

I love trying new cocktails around good food, and this place has it all! The atmosphere is calm and cozy, perfect for dates or even a friendly gathering. Original cocktails and a la carte menu that will totally blow away your taste buds. Must go in Düsseldorf for sure!

Die Rezension bezieht sich bisher nur auf die Aussicht. Diese gehört zu den besten in ganz Düsseldorf. Aus den Panoramafenstern der Skybar "The View" hat man einen der besten Blicke über Düsseldorf. Die Aussicht geht über den gesamten Medienhafen auf den Rhein, das Hafenbecken und Rheinturm sowie auf die anderen Gebäude im Medienhafen. Hinter der Rheinkniebrücke sieht man Düsseldorfs Altstadt und das Riesenrad (von Oktober bis Angang Januar). Auch nach hinten hat man eine beeindruckende Sicht auf das schicke Trivago-Gebäude und das neue The Cradle. Das Panorama von hier gehört zu den Schönsten in ganz Düsseldorf. Die Skybar gehört zum INNSIDE by Melia Hotel.

Gestern abend war ich mit meiner Frau dort, haben ein tollen Abend genossen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service aufmerksam. Danke wir kommen gerne wieder

Location ganz nett, insbesondere mit dem Ausblick. Das war es dann aber auch wieder. Das Essen ist viel zu überteuert, das Fleisch war teilweise so fettig, dass es nicht verzehrt werden konnte. Der Service war unterirdisch. Man hat lieber das Frühstück eingerichtet, als uns zu bedienen. Es wurde zu keiner Zeit einmal nachgefragt, ob wir ein zweiets Getränk wollen würden. Also gingen wir nach einem wieder. Auch stimmt die Karte vor Ort nicht mit der im Internet überein. Fazit: Es gibt deutlich bessere Locations in Düsseldorf. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen!

Wir waren heute vor Ort und haben unseren Arrangementgutschein eingelöst. Leider gab es keine Menü-Vorschläge, sondern nur ala-Cart mit viel Eigeninterpretation. Die Karte selbst ist sehr spartanisch und weicht vom Internetauftritt ab. Zu den Gerichten: bei dem Ziegenkäse fehlte der Feigensenf, bei der Zwiebelsuppe der überbackene Gouda, Hauptspeisen hingegen waren sehr lecker. Aber auch der Nachtisch war nicht wie auf der Karte. Bei der Käsevariation fehlten Nüsse und Grissini und bei dem Datteltörtchen war ein anderes Sorbe, sowie keine Mandeln Hippe dabei. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man durch den Gutschein nur abgespeckte Gerichte bekommt. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und sehr bemüht, kannst sich aber leider nicht wirklich mit den Gerichten und Getränken aus. Fazit: sehr schade, dass dieses Candle-Light-Dinner nicht ganz den Vorstellungen entsprach. Auf einen Drink kommen wir gerne wieder vorbei, aber nicht zum essen.

Der Koch kann es, die Bedienung bringt es. Wirklich eine sehr gute Küche und Ober, die den Spagat zwischen Aufmerksamkeit und Aufdringlichkeit beherrschen. Hier würde ich jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Haben an der Bar um 21:30 Uhr auf einen freien Tisch gewartet und um 22:15 sagte der Barkeeper arrogant "Ihr könnt noch bis Ladenschluss warten". Zwischendurch ging er wegen einem Rohrbruch auf die Damentoilette, was man von der Bar gut beobachten konnte, da die Tür der Toilette geöffnet war. Als er zurück kam, hat er sich nicht die Hände gewaschen und normal weiter gearbeitet.

Ich hatte einen Frühstücksgutschein zum Geburtstag erhalten. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis, vor allem die gute Lage im 16 Stock mit Blick auf den Düsseldorfer Fernsehturm. Bester Service und große Auswahl rundeten das umfangreiche Essensangebot ab. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir waren dort im Rahmen einer Weihnachtsfeier mit einer kleineren Gruppe. Das Essen war tatsächlich sehr gut, und es wurde auch rasch serviert. Der Service war generell aufmerksam, nett und hilfsbereit, teilweise aber vielleicht etwas unbeholfen. Das Restaurant The View befindet sich im obersten Stock des Melia Innside Hotel, wobei es nicht als klassisches Hotel zu identifizieren ist, vielleicht auch besser da es dadurch sicherlich von Nicht Hotel Gästen akzeptiert wird.

Drinks sind ganz lecker, Ambiente ziemlich nett. Muss man nicht jeden Tag machen aber ist definitiv mal ein Drink vor Ort wert.

Wir haben das Restaurant im aufgrund eines MyDays Gutschscheins besucht. Professionell freundlich wurden wir empfangen. Armin, der uns den ganzen Abend betreute, war super freundliche und hat uns perfekt durch das Dinner begleitet . Das Essen war auch wirklich gut und in Verbindung mit der grandiosen Aussicht war es ein perfekter Abend! Vielen Dank!!!

Die Skybar befindet sich im 16. Obergeschoss des INNSIDE Hotels im Düsseldorfer Medienhafen. Es handelt sich um das hässlichste Gebäude im ganzen Hafen. Aber davon merkt man ja zum Glück nichts, solange man sich innerhalb des Gebäudes aufhält. Die Skybar ist (zumindest am Abend) eine Kombination aus Bar und Restaurant, die sich großer Beliebtheit erfreut und zumeist recht gut besucht ist. Eine vorherige Tischreservierung über das Internet (Open Table) ist empfehlenswert, insbesondere wenn man einen der begehrten Fensterplätze ergattern will. Das Essen im Restaurant lässt leider zu wünschen übrig. Sowohl meine Vorspeise (überbackener Ziegenkäse) als auch mein Hauptgericht (Seeteufel) waren allenfalls durchschnittlich. Auch die Weinauswahl ist eingeschränkt. Die Weine renommierter Weingüter sucht man auf der Karte vergebens (das Moselweingut Dr. Loosen einmal ausgenommen). Von daher bietet es sich an, eher den Barbereich für einen Cocktail aufzusuchen und anderswo zu speisen. Restaurants gibt es im Medienhafen ja genug. Das Personal in der Skybar ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Trotz der Kritikpunkte: Eine angesagte Szene-Location, die man mal besucht haben sollte!

Sobald wir das Restaurant betreten haben, haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Der Service war super, und das Essen grandios. Eine absolute Empfehlung. 😊

Wir haben gestern nach langer Zeit endlich unseren Arrangementgutschein eingelöst und waren in dieser Location im 16. Stockwerk. Wir waren total begeistert über die tolle Aussicht und die Nettigkeit am Empfang. Der Mantel wurde einem abgenommen, man wurde freundlich zum Tisch geführt und im Laufe des Abends wurden wir von einem überaus netten Personal bedient. Das Personal ist sowas von aufmerksam und freundlich. Das hat uns mehr als gefallen. Zum Essen kann man auch nur sagen TOP. Es war alles sehr schön angerichtet. Das Auge isst ja bekanntlich mit. Die Kürbissuppe war super cremig und das Lachsfilet hatte einen mega Geschmack. Aber auch der Gruß aus der Küche und die eigentliche Vorspeise zzgl Nachtisch waren super. Mein Mann hatte sich noch einen leckeren Cocktail gegönnt. Zwischen den Gängen haben wir auf dem Raucherbalkon den wunderschönen Abendausblick genossen. Sogar aktivierbare Heizstrahler gibt es dort auf dem Balkon. Wir vergeben sehr gerne 5 Sterne. Und wir haben bereits festgelegt, dass wir hier definitiv nochmal herkommen werden, um den tollen Service und das Essen genießen zu können.
