The Rübezahl in Schwangau

Sehr schöne Hotel, mit einer herrlichen Aussicht auf die Schlösser. Hervorragendes Essen, bei super Service Und sehr gut gelegen, egal ob Füssen, Tirol, Berge oder sonstige Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

Waren fünf Tage da, außer das schlechte Wetter war alles super. Kommen gerne wieder. Personal sehr nett, besonders Anke und Simon, unsere Bedienungen, haben das ganz toll gemacht. Die Saunameisterin ist ganz super und lebt für ihren Beruf. Nochmals vielen Dank.

Eine erholsame Woche geht zu Ende und es war sicherlich nicht der letzte Urlaub in diesem Hotel. Nur freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Im Wellnessbereich haben wir Angela kennengelernt. Sie ist einfach spitze und hat uns mit den Anwendungen im Dampfbad den Alltag und das Regenwetter vergessen lassen. Vielen lieben Dank. Gruß von den Pfälzern

Sehr enttäuschend. Das Hotel wird den sehr positiven Bewertungen nicht gerecht. Das Zimmer war zwar ausreichend, aber deutlich unter dem, was man in dieser Preisklasse erwarten würde. Das Abendessen war schlecht: geschmacklose und nicht durchgegarte Gerichte, kleine Portionen. Der Pool war sehr einfach. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte überhaupt nicht. Zwei Pluspunkte: der herrliche Blick auf die Schlösser und das ausgezeichnete Frühstück.

Wir sind zum zweiten Mal da gewesen. Schon bei unserem 1. Besuch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nun waren wir mit allem schon vertraut und konnten die familiäre Atmosphäre im Haus noch mehr genießen als beim 1. Aufenthalt. Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei der Familie Thurm und ihren Mitarbeitern für eine entspannte und erlebnisreiche Woche im schönen Schwangau!

Hier passt alles, ein Hotel vom feinsten.

Wir fahren seit über 30 Jahren dorthin und waren im Mai wieder da. Es ist einfach fabelhaft. Mehr gibt es dazu nicht zu sagen. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle hervorragend. Dank der sehr hohen Standards bei Sauberkeit und ständiger Erneuerung sieht alles aus und fühlt sich auch so an. Wie Arnie schon sagte: „Ich komme wieder.“

Ab der Ankunft bis zur Abreise war der Aufenthalt einfach nur phantastisch. Das gesamte Team strahlt eine natürliche Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft aus. In unserem Zimmer mit Schlossblick gab es sogar einen Trinkwasserbrunnen mit Bergquellwasser. Die Kulinarik ist phänomenal. Man bekommt jeden Abend ein 4 Gang Menü ( mit gebuchter Verwöhnpension- welche wir wärmstens empfehlen können). Auf unsere Wünsche wurde immer toll eingegangen. Der sehr ansprechende Wellnessbereich mit tollem Außenbereich lädt ein die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Sowohl vom Spa als auch vom Restaurant hat man einen genialen Blick auf das Bergpanorama mit den Schlössern Neuschwanstein und Hohenschwangau. Es war alles picobello sauber egal wo. Wir kommen gerne wieder macht weiter so.

Wunderbar in jeder Hinsicht, von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise. Sehr gut geeignet für ein paar Nächte auf Hochzeitsreise.

Die Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Die hervorragende Küche rundete unseren Aufenthalt ab. Wir sind gestern erst angereist und wurden wirklich sehr herzlich empfangen👍 selbst nach 10 Jahren+ in der Gastronomie in leitender Position fasziniert mich hier die Art und Weise wie man als Gast behandelt wird. Angefangen von dem (für Schwaben: kostenlosem!!) Welcome Drink, über das tolle und freundliche, sowie zuvorkommende Personal während des gesamten Tages, freuen wir uns vor allem über die Ruhe und die Gelassenheit. Obwohl (laut meiner Einschätzung) wirklich "gut was los ist", vor allem während der prime time zum Abendessen fällt das dem Gast überhaupt nicht auf. Es wird ruhig und schnell serviert, man wird persönlich angesprochen & auf alle Sonderwünsche wird ohne wenn und aber eingegangen. Nicht zu vergessen ist die Bar, vor allem Adly, der Chefbarkeeper!! Er hat uns trotz langjähriger Cocktailexpertise mit seinem Wissen in den Schatten gestellt & auf Wünsche meiner Frau den perfekten alkoholfreien Cocktail gezaubert! Ich habe selber fast 10 Jahre Barchef hinter mir - aber die Kompetenz von Adly knackt das ohne Probleme! Ich hab es selten erlebt, dass der Gast so im Mittelpunkt steht wie hier! Es bleiben wirklich keine Wünsche offen! Wir danken dem gesamten Team des Rübezahl für ihre Extra-Meile, hier wird Kundenservice & Wohlbefinden am Gast noch GROß geschrieben! Alkohol im Eiskaffee – das erwartet man nicht. Und schon gar nicht, wenn man schwanger ist. Das ist der Hauptkritikpunkt und für uns absolut inakzeptabel: Meine Partnerin ist schwanger – das war offensichtlich und wurde sogar im Vorfeld beim Check-in vermerkt. Als sie an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen einen Eiskaffee bestellte, wurde sie beim ersten Mal von einem Mitarbeiter nicht darüber informiert, dass das Getränk Alkohol enthält (Irish Cream). Sie hatte den Eiskaffee zudem ausdrücklich entkoffeiniert bestellt – ein weiteres deutliches Zeichen, das dem Personal nicht entgangen sein kann. Erst am zweiten Tag wies uns eine Kollegin auf den Alkoholgehalt hin. Wie wir im Nachhinein auf der Karte nachlesen konnten, ist Irish Cream tatsächlich als Zutat aufgeführt – jedoch ohne jeden Hinweis auf den Alkoholgehalt. Ein simples Sternchen mit dem Zusatz „alkoholhaltig” hätte genügt. Der Zusatz „Irish Cream” ist für die meisten Gäste schlicht nicht als alkoholhaltiger Sahnelikör erkennbar. Was das Ganze noch schwerer wiegt: Wir waren anlässlich des 30. Geburtstags meiner Frau hier. Ein Anlass, der besonders sein sollte. Stattdessen hat sie dieser Vorfall emotional sehr mitgenommen und den gesamten restlichen Aufenthalt überschattet – einschließlich des abendlichen Candle-Light-Dinners, das wir eigens gegen Aufpreis zugebucht hatten und das so zu einem traurigen Highlight wurde. Das Gespräch mit dem Inhaber am Abend verlief zwar respektvoll, seine Reaktion war jedoch enttäuschend. Er wusste weder, dass der Eiskaffee überhaupt Irish Cream enthält, noch dass Irish Cream ein alkoholhaltiger Likör ist. Seine Erklärung: Die Patisseurin habe das wohl so gemacht, weil es dann einfach besser schmecke. Hinzu kam die Aussage, bei 80 Mitarbeitern könne man nicht alle kontrollieren. Besonders ernüchternd war sein abschließender Ratschlag: Man solle als Gast einfach jedes Mal nachfragen, ob im Getränk Alkohol enthalten sei. In einem 4-Sterne-Hotel sollte das selbstverständlich Aufgabe des Personals sein – nicht die des Gastes. Wir haben dieses Gespräch gesucht, weil wir nicht wollen, dass so etwas einer anderen Schwangeren passiert – und weil in einem Haus dieser Kategorie ein solcher Inhaltsstoff klar gekennzeichnet sein muss. Wir haben uns für einen besonderen Aufenthalt im Rübezahl entschieden – ein 4-Sterne-Haus im gehobenen Preissegment. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war wirklich schön, der Wellnessbereich angenehm, das Essen durchweg gut und die Bedienung beim Frühstück außerordentlich freundlich. Leider wird das durch mehrere gravierende Mängel mehr als aufgewogen. Auch am Empfang wünschten wir uns mehr Professionalität. Da wir früh anreisten und extra Frühstück zugebucht hatten, standen wir nach dem Essen etwas planlos da. Die Mitarbeiterin am Empfang wirkte überrascht, uns zu sehen, und bot von sich aus keine Hilfe an. Erst auf unsere Nachfrage hin wurden uns Bademäntel und Zugangskarten für den Spa-Bereich organisiert – ohne jede Einweisung. Glücklicherweise war zufällig ein Mitarbeiter im Spa-Bereich, der uns half. Beim späteren Check-in fragte dieselbe Mitarbeiterin, ob wir unser Begrüßungsgetränk schon erhalten hätten – obwohl sie uns selbst ohne eines losgeschickt hatte. Beim Checkout fragte eine andere Mitarbeiterin, wie der Aufenthalt war – auf mein verhaltenes „war OK” kam jedoch keine Nachfrage. Für ein Haus dieser Kategorie wäre genau das die Chance gewesen, auf Gäste einzugehen. Die fehlende Kennzeichnung von Alkohol in Getränken, die mangelnde Schulung des Personals und die Reaktion der Geschäftsleitung haben uns den Urlaub nachhaltig verleidet. Für den Preis und die Sternekategorie erwarten wir mehr Sorgfalt – besonders wenn die besonderen Bedürfnisse der Gäste bekannt sind. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Guten Tag… waren von 20-22.5.2026 in ihrem Hotel und waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder… es wurden auf alle wünsche eingegangen… ganz besonders möchte ich die Dame von der Rezeption hervorheben mit ihrer fröhlichen Art umrundet sie das ganze.. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Das Hotel ist wunderschön. Die Zimmer sehr sauber. Der Sauna Bereich hervorragend. Wir hatten einen Saunameister Constantin, der mit super tollen Bio Düften aufgoss. Ein Genuss für die Seele. Das Essen sowie das Personal überragend und sehr nett. Uns hat es sehr sehr gut gefallen. Preis Leistung absolut stimmig.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Hotel, sehr ruhig gelegen und doch ist man in kürze beim Schloss Neuschwanstein, vom Restaurant aus wunderschöner Blick auf Neuschwanstein. Sehr feine Abendessen und grosse und leckere Auswahl beim Frühstück. Grosser Hotel Parkplatz mit Ladestationen

Ein wundervolles Hotel mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist hervorragend, die Menüs sind ein Gaumenschmaus und das Frühstücksbuffet, sucht seines gleichen. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr sauber und einladend. Wer Ruhe und eine Auszeit sucht, wird sie hier finden. Hervorheven, möchten wir Constantin, mit seinen Aufgüssen - ein Dufterlebnis der besonderen Art. Wir können nur sagen - ankommen - wohlfühlen - wiederkommen!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mir ware jetzt 6 wunderschöne Tage im Hotel Rübezahl – un ehrlich: mir wollte eigentlich gar nimmi heim 😄 Wenn mer aus de Arbeiterstadt Mannheim kommt, is des Allgäu sowieso schon wie e anneri Welt. Aber des Hotel setzt da echt noch eins druff. Von de Verwöhnpension über des mega Spa bis zur richtig starke Weinauswahl hat einfach alles gepasst. Besonders bedanken wolle mir uns bei de Anke un de Angela – zwei so herzliche Mitarbeiterinne, dass mer sich direkt wie dahäm gefühlt hat. Au e großes Dankeschön an de Herrn Thurm für die klasse Ausflugstipps. Mir henn fast alles umgesetzt – kleine Alpenrundfahrt gemacht un sogar Schloss Linderhof besucht. Genau deswegen sollt mer als Gast uff jeden Fall mol uff die Tipps von de Einheimische höre – die wisse halt, wo’s schee is. Des Highlight war dann noch die Wanderung zur Rohrkopfhütte. Die Aussicht war brutal schee … awer danach ware mir komplett am End 😅 Die Wadln henn gebrannt wie nach em Treppelaafe im Mannheimer Wasserturm. Mir ware jetzt scho zum zweite Mol do – un eins is sicher: Mir komme aa e drittes Mol widder. Schließlich muss mer ab un zu mol raus aus’m Mannheimer Industrie-Charme un nei in die Allgäuer Bilderbuchwelt 😉

We had a fantastic babymoon at the Rübezahl. It's perfectly suited for pregnant women, as they take everything into consideration (services, food, and drinks). The desserts and cakes from their in-house patisserie are especially noteworthy. All the staff were incredibly dedicated and friendly. Highly recommended! We had a wonderful time and were exceptionally well looked after <3

At Hotel Rübezahl, we received a very warm welcome with a cocktail. Check-in was seamless, and the room was lovely with a balcony. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast and a delicious four-course dinner. I felt very comfortable.

Simply a fantastic hotel. They've created the perfect blend of chic and welcoming. The food is delicious, the spa area is small but perfectly formed, and all the staff are attentive, friendly, and cater to individual needs.

We stayed at the Hotel Rübezahl last weekend. We booked the AlpenTraum room and the pampering half-board package. From booking to departure, it was simply top-notch and in a class of its own. Definitely 5 stars plus! I've been taking wellness holidays all over Germany for over 20 years and can say that everything here is truly perfect. The hotel's location is uniquely beautiful, the reception is incredibly friendly, and you feel completely welcome. Everything, from the parking lot to the balcony, is spotlessly clean and beautifully and lovingly designed. All the staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and always accommodating. They anticipate your every need and fulfill it perfectly. The rooms are beautifully designed, very high-quality, and show great attention to detail. The food, whether breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner, is fantastic and always delicious. The spa area leaves nothing to be desired and is top-class in every respect. The price is absolutely justified. We will definitely be coming back here to relax more often and have found our dream hotel. We had the pleasure of staying at the Rübezahl Hotel. The rooms are charming, clean, and some even feature a spring water fountain. The shower controls are a bit tricky. The incredibly friendly staff deserves special mention. Even the reception – a young lady – was incredibly kind. Adly at the bar was among the best I've ever experienced in that area. The food, we had half-board, was good. Here too, we could make any request without any complaints or "it can't be done." The breakfast definitely leaves nothing to be desired. The spa area is spacious and clean. Outside, there's a magnificent view of the Allgäu Alps and the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The price-performance ratio is good. Parking is available directly at the hotel. We'll be back! 👍🏼

This was our first time at the hotel, and we were absolutely thrilled. The room was a dream; we stayed in the Romantic Suite, which was truly beautiful. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities and options, from massages to an outdoor pool, yoga, and much more. The service is truly outstanding; everyone is so polite and attentive. We were very impressed. Breakfast was enormous, with everything imaginable – something for everyone. A few hours later, a light lunch was served, followed by coffee and cake. And every evening, a four-course meal was offered. I highly recommend this hotel. The surrounding countryside is also beautiful, especially if you enjoy hiking and the mountains. There are also two castles nearby to visit, and so much more. We would love to come back again.

Beautiful, clean rooms with attentive service. Excellent food, including seconds. The spa area was okay. The outdoor pool could be a bit warmer. Not all of the jets in the outdoor whirlpool worked equally well, but perhaps this was intentional. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

I highly recommend the Rübezahl. We were treated very friendly and courteously throughout the hotel. We also experienced a great deal of warmth and thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite cuisine and the elegant, spacious, and intimate wellness area. Beautiful hotel really something special

Great hotel! We were especially impressed by the vegan options: There was a wide selection at breakfast (including silken tofu scrambled eggs), and at dinner, every course (except dessert, but I'm sure there are alternatives if you ask) had a vegan option. Great wellness area and super friendly staff!

Our second stay was also fantastic – the perfect place for a short break. The location, with its enchanting landscape, is ideal for hiking, cycling, or simply unwinding. The wellness area is perfect for this – it boasts a sauna, whirlpool, outdoor pool, and much more. The loungers with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle invite you to relax and make your stay unforgettable. The entire team is warm, attentive, and always strives to make your stay perfect. Whether in the restaurant, at the bar, or at reception – you feel completely welcome. The Rübezahl is a place to relax, enjoy, and marvel – with the perfect combination of a stunning location, excellent service, and warm hospitality. Dogs are also warmly welcomed here – you'll find a letter with treats for your four-legged friend in your room upon arrival. You can bring your furry friend to a separate area in the restaurant for dinner. We will definitely be back ♥️

From the moment you arrive at the Hotel Rübezahl, you'll sense that you're in a very special place. The culinary offerings are a true treat: a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, small delicacies at lunch, pastries and cakes in the afternoon, and, as a highlight, the ice cream cart on the terrace – simply a dream! I wasn't there as a guest myself, but drove my son (who was a hired chef). However, the impression left on me by the staff and the owner of the hotel was exceptionally good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, as was the hotel owner.

I highly recommend this place. We had a lovely room, and the service anticipated our every need. All this with a fantastic view of the royal palaces.

This was our first time at this beautiful hotel and we were very pleasantly surprised. They've thought of so many details that we haven't experienced in other hotels. Our room was very nice, and the service was generally attentive and unobtrusive. The delicious breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Even for those with food intolerances, there was a good selection. The wellness area is also very appealing. The beautiful landscape, where you can go for wonderful walks, hikes, and bike rides, also contributes to a perfect vacation. The only thing that could have been better was the weather, but that's nobody's fault. We would definitely love to come back.

We would have liked to book for 2-3 nights. The lady we contacted refused to provide any information about whether children were booked for the requested date due to data protection reasons, which are not even remotely applicable given the current situation. It was only a question of "yes" or "no," not age, name, etc. Furthermore, the lady insisted on her position and further scared off potential guests with her behavior.

Don’t let the pretty pictures deceive you. During the fall of 2024, I spent twelve weeks in twelve countries. This was the most expensive room and the one of very few places in the world I would NEVER stay at again. The window was open when we entered the room and we quickly discovered it was an attempt to mask the strong stench of PISS. The decor was tacky which would have been tolerable and maybe even quaint if the headboard wasn’t stained with sweat. And the bed was worse than you’d find in a $5 hostel in Laos. There are many amazing boutique spas in Germany. This unfortunately is not one of them.

Have been there three times. The rooms, the food, the service and the breathtaking view of both castles are just wow. It's a shame that you have to pay everything in advance and book a minimum of 3 nights.

Nice romantic hotel. We are here for the second time and are enjoying the time together. The location, with the view of the castles, is great. The food in the hotel was very good. The wellness area is also very nice. We will definitely come back.

The room is incredibly tastefully decorated, extremely clean, the bed is huge and super comfortable. The bathroom? Simply perfect – functional, modern and very, very beautiful! But what makes this hotel special are the employees: always in a good mood, always nice and helpful - in every situation. You immediately feel welcome and completely comfortable. The breakfast buffet is amazing! There really is everything your heart desires – a huge selection of fresh, high-quality food, beautifully presented and simply delicious. We only used dinner once, but that was also a real highlight! The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired: everything is extremely well maintained, stylish and absolutely made for relaxation. Conclusion: We would stay here again at any time! The Rübezahl sets standards in terms of hospitality, comfort and enjoyment. A clear 5-star recommendation!

After just two nights stay -> so much relaxation Almost unbelievable and yet it actually came true for me - I had only booked two nights - and thanks to the fantastic atmosphere of the house, I had a hugely strong relaxation effect afterwards, which I would otherwise need two weeks for. Despite the fact that the hotel was almost fully booked, my inquiries and wishes were always taken seriously by the hotel staff and implemented almost immediately, which in my opinion deserved the highest respect. Upon arrival, on the recommendation of the reception, it was made easy for me to “arrive and slow down” with a welcome cocktail in the feel-good launch. Afterwards, Ms. "Car..." didn't leave me alone with my bulky luggage and accompanied me to my room with helping hands. During the relaxing back massage in the Beauty Alm, I was able to immerse myself so deeply into the realm of the senses under the magical hands of Ms. "Syl..." that I secured a follow-up treatment the next day. I was also served majestically in the “Royal Lounge” of the restaurant in the afternoon with delicious coffee and cake by Mrs. “Ihs...” and in the evening by Mr. “Hou...”, so that nothing left to be desired for me. Late in the evening, in the cozy house bar, Mr. “Sam...” and “Adl...” not only treated me to their brilliant drinks, but also entertained me in a friendly manner (I was a guest as a single), which is not something I take for granted. All in all, I can attest that the house has an absolutely familiar atmosphere in which you not only feel completely comfortable, but in which you are also treated “hospitably” in the truest sense of the word. Beautiful facade, toxic core: Our conclusion on Rübezahl We stayed at Rübezahl for five days in December and honestly expected more. Overall, the stay was “okay” at best – unfortunately with some clear weak points. But let's start in order: Room We initially booked the Könignest comfort room, the cheapest category - and that was a clear mistake. The room was narrow, uncomfortable and the view of a dreary house facade nipped any kind of “holiday feeling” in the bud. After an upgrade to the Alpentraum deluxe double room, things got significantly better. The room was more spacious, more comfortable and seemed to be of much higher quality overall - a no-brainer for the only slightly higher price. Tip: Save yourself the comfort category, the upgrade is absolutely worth it. Cleanliness and room service? Both are flawless, there’s nothing to quibble about. Spa area The spa area was a disappointment for us. Everything takes place in the basement, and that means no view. Anyone who was looking forward to reading a book in a relaxation room while enjoying the mountain panorama will be bitterly disappointed here - apart from a sauna, there isn't anything even remotely close to daylight. In addition, a large part of the area is textile-free, which we found not very inclusive. service The service was – mixed. Most of the employees were friendly and helpful, but what struck us as extremely negative was the way they treated each other. It was obvious (and unmistakable) how the young team members - presumably trainees - were being dressed down by some of the more experienced colleagues. Comments like “I told you that three minutes ago?!”, aggressive snapping or simply an extremely unfriendly tone were the order of the day. It all happened so obviously that it couldn't go unnoticed by the guests. This was a real vibe killer for us because this toxic energy definitely rubbed off on the atmosphere in the hotel. We really felt sorry for the trainees - and quite honestly: when hotels complain about a lack of young talent, they should urgently consider whether they themselves are responsible for this with such a working atmosphere. Eat The food is best described as “highs and lows.” Some dishes - especially the meat dishes - were really good and were of fine dining quality. But then there were also real failures: the vegetarian options in particular seemed like they were stuck in the 2000s - boring, uninspired, sometimes downright disappointing. The same goes for the soups, which we found completely interchangeable. In general, the food was usually an eye-catcher visually, but the taste was often disappointing. Beautiful presentation isn't enough if the taste doesn't match. Conclusion In the end, we remember the Rübezahl as an average hotel that wasted potential in many areas. Above all, the obviously toxic climate in the team left a lasting negative impression on us - something like that simply doesn't work. Unless fundamental things are changed here, we unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel.

We were only here for 2 days, but we can happily recommend it. The somewhat high price is definitely justified. Very nice wellness area with a view of the castles. We'd love to come back.

We will be back, after what was a wonderful stay with an excellent restaurant, very attentive. Great location for the drivers amongst us .

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days. We wanted to treat ourselves and were disappointed. First of all, I have to say that we have already traveled half the world and have been to many so-called wellness hotels. What is on offer here is by no means the standard of a 4+ hotel! Rooms are nice, as is the view and the design of the hotel. But that was it. The pictures on the internet do not correspond to reality. The only swimming options are a mini outdoor pool, which leaves a lot to be desired in terms of warmth, and a mini whirlpool for, in my opinion, 2 people. That's it. If you want to go into the whirlpool, you have to keep checking to see if it is free. Only a single infusion on 4 days, pretty puny for a “wellness hotel”. The relaxation area is also small. Guests who arrive from midday often look for a place in vain. Some areas indicated in the description are defective. I found dinner particularly bad. Some of them are tasteless and not edible, so it doesn't help to decorate them nicely. Had diarrhea on the 2nd day! When paying, we listed everything that bothered us, but it was ignored here. Here, too, one could have shown some kind of appreciation. In addition, the drink prices are a complete rip-off. Almost 12 euros for 2 teas is almost outrageous. The price-performance ratio is by no means adjusted here. We cannot recommend the hotel. In our opinion, definitely not 4+ stars.

Great 4 star superior hotel with a first class location. I did a few days of wellness there with my mother. The rooms are very modern and the food in the house was very good. We had a beautiful view of Neuschwanstein Castle from the balcony. The spa area is good and sufficient. The cocktails at the in-house bar are amazing!

Bear Long drinks and cocktails are high-priced and can be improved in quality. Whiskey sour was too sweet for me. Negroni is prepared with martini and bitters which is rather unusual. Both drinks were served very attractively, which is what you would expect for €14 and €15 respectively. The bar staff is super friendly. The drinks are generally expensive. Small beer approx. 5€, (tap) water, sparkling or natural is charged at 5.9€ per 0.75. staff Mixed. Everything from very friendly (bar and breakfast) to mostly annoyed. Afternoon cake Cake included. Drinks are charged extra. Hibiscus tea €6.90. In other hotels in this category, hot drinks are usually free with afternoon coffee included. spa The pool is relatively small and is hardly suitable for swimming laps, but rather for splashing around. Only one sauna in the new spa area. Second sauna and steam bath in the old, quite dim and not very inviting area. We only went to the sauna because we didn't feel comfortable there at all. In the spa there are dried apple rings and coconut pieces (which you only understand from the description) and various teas from teapots, as well as water. Unfortunately there is no sports room, but it would be desirable in this price category. You can use a studio in Füssen free of charge, but this was too inconvenient for us. Especially if you like to exercise before breakfast. Dinner and breakfast There is no fixed table. Accordingly, you have to look for a table or have it assigned to you twice a day. The lady in charge of table management seemed quite stressed during our visit. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, but not excessive. There are no fresh juices. Freshly squeezed orange juice is only available upon order. The range of lactose-free products is also manageable. You can order traditional egg dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes from a special menu. These dishes were excellent. The dinner was also very good throughout. There is no salad or cheese buffet, both are served, which we found pleasant. Since you don't have a fixed table, you have to ask for the bill to be signed every evening. Room We had a double room with a view of the castle. This one is really very beautiful. The rooms were of sufficient size. Only the shower fitting is so complex that it is not intuitively clear how to use it. There are about 6 different buttons, but no way to adjust the shower head. Activities We would have liked more varied activities to be offered in the daily morning mail. However, these are limited to meditation and yoga. No guided hikes or other activities offered by the hotel. Daily information was given about the hotel's own mulled wine stand and the events offered in Füssen. Overall, Das Rübezahl is a nice hotel with certain drawbacks.

Been there twice for our wedding anniversary! Super nice, super friendly! super clean!

Arrive and feel good! Very nice wellness hotel. Top location with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle. Surrounded by lush meadows and cows, you can relax and unwind. I celebrated my big birthday with the family in this fine, personally run house. We were all thrilled. The bar mixes excellent cocktails and the food is very good. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Even our dog Ellie was welcome. Maybe it would still be somehow possible to be allowed to eat outside with your dog in the future.

Great experience in Fussen. Especially the outdoor jacuzzi at sunset with the atmosphere of September, and no one else around. If you are lucky, you may find the onwer's old car collection. I happened to see it when I was parking.

My husband and I stayed at Rübezahl for a week. We had very hollow days there. The food and service are very good. The breakfast buffet is beautifully arranged. The relaxation value in this hotel is really good. It is very quiet and very well maintained. The cocktails are also fantastic 😄

Great hotel, high-quality facilities, including a hairdryer with a diffuser, super attentive service, beautiful, quiet location, intolerances are consistently taken into account in the delicious menu, great breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, absolutely recommended.

Beautiful hotel, clean room with panoramic castle views, amazing food. We had an AMAZING stay at Das Rubezahl. Close to Neuschwanstein Castle. Quick check in. Beautiful room with spa shower. No A/C but weather was temperate enough to leave door open. Meals were 5 star. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great service, very attentive staff, you immediately feel at ease and arrived. We were there for a honeymoon and booked a great breakfast in the room. No problem with celiac disease, there is gluten-free bread, cakes and dinner is adapted. Many thanks to the entire team :) We'll be happy to come back!
