Beautiful mountain hut with friendly staff and great food.

A very nice, rustic hut. The food was excellent and plentiful, even if a little overpriced. We had the snack. It was a large portion and the quality was also excellent. The hospitality was absolutely outstanding. Our child ran through the entire hut, grabbing the landlady by the hand and pulling her back and forth, even into the kitchen. The entire team was so kind.

The location is good for walks. I just find the prices too high. Beer is only available from large breweries.

Simply superb. The lovely waitress is extremely attentive and quick, and always has a good joke. It's a very pleasant overall package.

We were at the turning hut today. It was just beautiful. We forgot to bring cash with us, but we were kind enough to be able to pay by bank transfer! The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back Very best regards

Beautiful hut, friendly hosts, good food - unfortunately only open until 6:00 PM... So, unfortunately, the hut won't see us again; it's impossible during the week. Last order for food was an hour, and last round of drinks half an hour before closing. It's a shame, but even upon request (we would have been a larger group), no exceptions 🤷🏼‍♂️

Small hut halfway up the mountain, which is run by a restaurant. The distance from the parking lot to the hut is given as 1¼ hours, although it took us almost 2 hours on foot. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very alpine hut style. When the weather is good, you have a great view of the valley from the hut, which is worth the climb.

Everything was top-notch. Beautiful location, great for tobogganing (or rather, I went bobsledding). The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was rustic... just as you'd expect from a mountain hut.

What can I say... simply fantastic. The food is delicious. Everyone is very friendly. A must-visit!

Great hut, with lots of seating, nice looks and delicious food. Portions are large to really fill you up.

The food with a small selection was rather modest! Based on our experience, we expected more from a mountain hut.

In just under 1 hour you can reach the turning hut from the upper parking lot. The path/road is relaxed and easy to walk on. Everywhere you come across small benches to pause and enjoy the view. At the revolving hut you can sit outside and enjoy all kinds of panoramas. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and the toilets were super clean. Ideal for a short trip with children or even if you don't want it to be so long and steep.

A great hut with delicious food! The staff is very nice and helpful. There is also a sandpit and a swing for small children. Highly recommended!

Really very nice hut with a cozy beer garden, very tasty food at moderate prices. Highly recommended. At least on the day I visited there was probably a staff shortage. You could feel sorry for the landlady, she recorded everything herself and accounted for it. The result was long, very long waiting times. Around an hour just to order and invoice.

Great view, nice cabin. Unfortunately it's a rest day, but if you're thirsty there are self-service drinks with a cash register, a great thing after the climb!

After a long climb and then an eventful descent (no, I didn't start from the parking lot), I was able to experience the hut in the receding fog. About 15 minutes later the big rush came. Very, very nice young waitress...who was so nice to every guest ;-) Definitely worth an experience with the food on offer and the location

I've been to the Drehhütte several times, even if it's a small detour on the way to the mountain station, I'm always happy to do it. It's simply worth it!! Beautiful view, both of Forgensee and Bannwaldsee in one direction and the mountain in the other direction. During my roughly estimated 20 visits spread over a few years, I always got the same result: Super nice service, delicious food, a beer for refreshment. All of this at a really fair price! We'll definitely see each other again!

The worst Brozeitplatte from Bruchsal to Lake Constance.

Quiet, somewhat remote rest stop with a very nice panorama. We ate warm apple strudel and Kaiserschmarrn, which were both very tasty and the portion was good too. Service was very friendly and quick, the only deduction from us was for the not-so-comfortable chairs outside.

Very nicely located hut that can be easily reached by bike. The staff is very friendly, there is plenty of seating and a few loungers behind the hut.

We hiked to the rotating hut on Friday evening to eat spare ribs and were given a very friendly welcome. Totally cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The service was cool, relaxed and courteous. Top quality food. We'll be back next Friday. Absolutely recommended!

Very nice view, good food and drink. At lunchtime you should bring some time with you as you have to wait for a free seat, drinks and food. But it's worth it :)

Very nice circular route from the Drehhütte to the Rohrkopfhütte, both have great service and a very good menu, there is a great view from the Rohrkopfhütte

A nice place, easy to reach with first-class cuisine! You can tell that the hut owners have a passion for what they do and a lot of fun with it. The staff get infected by it and experience the whole thing brilliantly! Class. Big praise to the whole team!

Leckere Schlutzkrapfen. War seit Jahren nicht mehr da. Die Hütte war ja auch länger geschlossen. Aber seit einiger Zeit ist sie wieder offen. Kurzer Spaziergang vom Parkplatz, leckeres Essen, freundliche Gastgeber. Es ist halt immer voll. Aber wenn ihr euch mit an einen Tisch setzt ist alles prima. Im Winter, nur mit Schnee, auch eine legendäre Rodelpiste...😂

Die Drehhütte habe ich mit dem Mountainbike besucht, über den Fahrweg hoch. Die Hütte ist sehr gut organisiert, man wird sehr freundlich und schnell bedient. Die Kaiserschmarren haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Gläser werden hier nicht leer, da das Personal nachgefragt hat ob es noch was sein darf. Leider hat unser Zeitfenster nicht gereicht zum länger bleiben. Hinter der Hütte ist noch ein zweiter Sitzbereich mit einem sehr schönen Blick ins Tal. Auf dem Weg zur Drehhütte hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Schloss Neuschwanstein.

Eine wirklich tolle und gemütliche Hütte. Das Essen war mega lecker und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung. Mit Hund gar kein Problem. Einfach Topp 👍

Oben an der Drehhütte angekommen, möchte man gar nicht wieder zurück. Der Ort ist so herrlich und man kann bei sehr gutem Essen und Trinken entspannen. Schon allein für diesen Ausblick lohnt die Anstrengung. Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt dem gesamten Team der Drehhütte.

Schöne Hütte mitten in den Bergen. Dem Krautsalat hätte etwas mehr Dressing gut getan. Ansonsten schnell, freundlich, perfekt. Der Weg hierher ist leider etwas eintönig. Die teilweisen Wege durch den Wald sind nicht beschildert. Die Teerstraße ist dafür mit Fahrrad und Kinderwagen befahrbar.

Super gemütlich und idyllisch. Leider waren wir zu spät und die Sonne 🌞 ging schon unter.

Es ist halt eine Almenhütte wie man sie erwartet. Von außen der Natur angepasst und von innen sehr gemütlich.

Drehhütte war gut besucht,mussten lange warten,bis wir bestellen konnten. Aber essen war lecker,Bedienung freundlich,trotz Andrang. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die schlutzkrapfen und der Kaiserschmarrn!

Nach unserer Wanderung von Hohenschwangau aus zur Reith Alpe, dann der Aufstieg zu der Rohrkopfhütte und dann weiter zur Drehhütte. Nach dieser herrlichen Tour mit super Ausblicken auf die schöne Schwangauer Umgebung. Haben wir uns entschieden in der Drehhütte unser Mittag einzunehmen. Die Hütte ist wunderbar, herrlicher Ausblick, draußen waren M Liegestühle die Sonnenterrasse war eingedeckt , der Innenraum richtig urig, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Eigentümer waren auch mit dabei und kamen auch zu unserem Tisch, fragten ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir haben uns für einen Brotzeitteller als Hauptmahlzeit und mein Mann hat einen Krustenbraten gegessen mit den Knödeln. Eine Riesen Portion dazu noch ein bisschen Salat👍👍👍👍. Mein Brotzeitteller war riesig. Es war alles was das Herz begehrt drauf: Südtiroler Schinken, verschiedene Käsesorten, Griebenschmalz, Knacker und noch Salami oder Knackwurst in dicken Scheiben. Dazu ein reichlich gefüllter Brotkorb mit Schüttelbrot, Brötchen , Mischbrot/Graubrot. Also es war ein Riesenkorb. Für zwei Personen ist es als Zwischenmahlzeit sehr gut und reichlich. Es war liebevoll angerichtet sehr geschmackvoll und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, ich kann es nur empfehlen es lohnt sich und es ist auch für viele erreichbar die nicht so weit wandern möchten.

Hütte ausgerichtet auf die hohe Zahl der Touristen.

Wir sind das zweite mal hergekommen wegen dem sehr guten Essen und dem tollen Service. Es war mal wieder rundum perfekt! Bei uns aufjedenfall ein muss wenn wir in Füssen sind hier vorbei zu schauen.

Bester Kaiserschmarren, sehr freundlicher Service und aufmerksame Chefin. Herrliche Lage.
