The Pub in Berlin

A lovely pub to round off an evening in Berlin. They serve delicious food and beer. You can also help yourself to draft beer. I preferred a Guinness or two from the bar, though.

It's something different, but the ordering system is a disaster and we don't even need to start with the toilet area 🫣

Mega burgers and great, friendly service

I didn't enjoy my burger at The Pub. For me there was too much lettuce (not shredded) and the patty slid right out when I bit into it. It wasn't an awful burger but could've been better.

If you like the atmosphere of a Kaufland parking lot right next to the bar, this is the place for you. A place focused on pressurized refueling.

Closing hour at 2:00 and on Thursday at 1 it was close Friday night with closing time at 3 but at 00:30 we couldn't get a beer.

My experience was terrible, flies around the beer taps and food, my cocktail wasn’t even the one i ordered and food was overcooked and just an underwhelming experience overall. Wouldn’t recommend if visiting berlin.

It was pretty good, except that the machine we could order from was very noisy and the touch screen was hard to press. But it was very tasty and the portions were very large.

Great atmosphere and I like to tap the beer myself, but the people at the next table couldn't handle it and some of it splashed over to us

Everything was great, tapping your own beer at the table, genius idea. We had some nacho's from the guys next to us and it tasted very good! Staff was very helpfull in explaining how to tap a beer. The only downside was the men's restroom, looked like a unfinished construction, like the workers didn't get any coffee. 2nd time we went the restroom wasn't even available, had to go to the restroom for disabled people.

Great spot for beer and food , very nice vibe. Realy enjoyed it there. Pour your own beer, what's not to love.

Beer taps do not work, screens are glitchy ( charged us 4x for one food item and staff said we ordered it four times and didn’t refund us any of it), staff very rude. Would not recommend coming to this shit place unless you want terrible service and staff treatment :)

Burger meat was totally oversalted, coleslaw was sour, toilet very unkempt and smelly

We were visiting Berlin from Cologne and discovered the pub by chance. Inspired by the outside advertising, we tried it out and were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance and service are really good, and the concept is a truly brilliant idea. Highly recommended!

Our second time here. A previous visit several years ago left such a good impression that we had to return. A fun place with a beer tap in the center of the table. A nice touch. This time the waiter insisted that we order everything via the digital screen in the center of the table. The touch function was problematic and we constantly had to cancel and reorder. After several failed attempts, we called the waiter to place the order. He was not happy about it, to say the least. The food arrived and was okay, just not at the level we remembered. The beer was delicious.

Nice gimmick - the personal beer tap thing at the table. Very convenient that you can split the bill in advance. The beer flows very slowly from the taps and also comes out full of foam which is a bit annoying. The burger is delicious and so are the fries. But not something hysterical to come to especially. The playlist was rare!

A lovely restaurant near Alexanderplatz. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. And the beer was delicious, too.

I went to this restaurant with a friend on May 23, 2025, around 11 p.m. and had an extremely unpleasant experience. The employee was rude from the start, didn't greet us, said the restaurant was full (even though there were obviously free tables), and treated us with disrespect when we asked. My friend and I are Black people. Just like every other person present—German or not—I was in the position of a paying customer. I live legally in this country, work, pay my taxes, and have the dignity to enter any space. The way we were treated made us feel discriminated against. We left the place deeply disappointed. I am ashamed to be part of a society that, in 2025, still tolerates such inhumane and petty behavior.

10:30 PM on May 23, 2025 - Half-empty pub with football fans - two of us from Hamburg wanted to have a beer and were turned away. Without explanation and only with a hand signal. Insane.

Great place, great atmosphere friendly staff and as much as you can physically drink great for stag dos and hen dos and competition

The pub was only a quarter full, and we, a group of 10, were turned away. The reason given was that serving such a large group would be too much work. And this in a bar where you can pull your own beer at your table... I can't understand that...

A modern pub with an interesting system. You have your own tap at the table so you can tap your own beer. The beer dispensed is displayed in liters. Unfortunately, the touchscreen, which was located above the dispenser, didn't work so well. I also had the Olymp Burger, which I can only warmly recommend to everyone!

The food was good and the opportunity to compete with other pubs while drinking beer was motivating when drinking. Ordering via terminal at the table takes some getting used to, toilets need to be cleaned please.

Glasses were not washed, there were even mouth prints on my friends glass. After some issues pouring the beer we tasted it and the beer from one of the taps tasted like mold. A quick Google search later we think it was due to moldy plastic barrings. Don't actually know tho. When we asked the previously very nice bartender and he reacted like we personaly insulted him. Really sad to leave this review, we had high hopes since the atmosphere and concept were amazing. Hope this helps! Mvh besviken svenne

Opening and closing times are a lie and a joke, staff told us to leave quite rudely but it’s fine because their food and drinks looked proper washed anyway, dead city brev.

It was ok. Nothing amazing. If you want some German beer with just ok food nothing amazing and music then this could be ok for you. Service was OK, some of the staff were rude at times but wasn't sure if this was part of the experience. Probably wouldn't recommend.

Google said it was a sports café, but it's just a restaurant.

Funny, you can pour your own beer. We didn't eat anything. You also quickly lose track and then it is quite expensive.

A fun British themed bar with pull your own beer taps on each table. We had some difficulty with the screen as it froze a few times. The beer wasn't the best we've had in Berlin but it was fun for the novelty of pouring your own.

8 table reserved, received another table but no problem, 4 taps at the table, explanation about taps and service received via the monitor. Monitor only works moderately, similar to the service, got better later. Beer was okay, Berlin Pilsener, a matter of taste. But the burgers were delicious, as were the fries 👍🏽, but it's a matter of taste 😉😎

Cool gimmick with you pouring your own beer. Only Berliner Weisse though, so not the most fancy beer. Burger was ok. Fantastic for Germany, but burgers are not really their strength regardless. Pretty expensive and having a 10% tip already included on top of the bill is not okay. Ever.

Cuando llegamos al lugar, una persona nos dijo que no hay mesas sin reserva. Mostré los detalles y la respuesta fue que no lo han recibido. En una comprobación adicional encontré un mensaje en mi carpeta de correo basura indicando que había un fallo de su servidor para enviar el segundo mensaje de confirmación, sin embargo, indicó claramente que la confirmación se completó de mi parte. Huelga decir , demostrando que a la persona no le importaba nada y en lugar de entender la situación, nos dijeron que nos fuéramos. Pugs drink beer! It was a really great evening in the pub! Tapping it yourself is really fun and it was delicious too. The burgers were great! Everything is just right here!

The Pub has a great atmosphere — excellent music playing, a spacious setting, and very good service. I found the staff to be polite and helpful, and it's a plus that they speak English. The burger was excellent; I highly recommend the Hangover. The weissbier was also spot on. The only downside was the touchscreen ordering system at the table. It didn’t work very well and ended up wasting a lot of time with misclicks and redoing the order. The screen is also positioned too high, which makes it uncomfortable to use. Overall, I really enjoyed the place and definitely plan to return. I recommend it!

This is such a great wee place if your looking for something different. Staff were great, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend a visit. Booking is required as it is always booked out!

The beer tastes good and is very drinkable. Tapping is fun and it becomes even more fun to take part in the competition or even just watch it. I like the concept. The nachos with chili con carne have it all! If you like something spicy, you should definitely treat yourself to this.

A visit was planned using the Google search function. Without a reservation it was possible to get a table for four people without any problems. Very attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Of course the offer had to be a steak. Dry aged in 300g. Starters arrived very quickly. We had to wait about 45 minutes for the main course. wait. Not so nice. The result was also sobering. When I asked if it was 300g, I was told that the steak loses a lot of water when frying! DRY AGED!!!!!!! Fries totally fried to death. Very tasty sauce with it. The hamburgers were good and very tasty. The regular steak was really good and perfectly cooked.

Great atmosphere and I loved being able pour my own beers at the table. Service, when needed, was excellent and the burger I had was probably the best burger I've ever had, anywhere. Warning: there's a 'scoreboard' on the large TV showing which table has has currently decanted the most beer; it became tempting to drink more than we really should!

Me encanta el concepto de servir su propia cerveza, 4 golpecitos por mesa. Dividir billetes se hace simple para grupos grandes con la pantalla digital fácil de seguir sobre los grifos. Ubicación fresca en el arco del carril y decorado bien en el interior. La comida disponible era de una gran calidad y las hamburguesas eran un punto culminante, porciones generosas. Fue en familia pero muy popular entre solteros y lugar de fiesta, lo que no le restó el disfrute.

Love the concept of pouring your own beer, 4 taps per table. Splitting bills made simple for large groups with the easy to follow digital display above the taps. Cool location in the rail arch’s and decorated well inside. Food available was a great quality and the burgers were a highlight, generous portions. Went as family but very popular with stag and party venue which didn’t detract from the enjoyment.

Mega cool experience. This was my second time here and it was always great. And the burger with the sweet potato fries was super delicious🍾

Everything was reserved, we just wanted a quick drink on the go, the entire counter was free...

First time visiting the pub very close to the train station. The staff were friendly and polite. There was a second service touch screen at the table it was very temperamental and kept freezing. I only ordered some drinks. Apart from that, the scene was good.

Basic beer is charged per liter, and this is a pub where you can enjoy light and inexpensive beer. Recommended for those who drink a lot of beer!

For regular lager, you are charged for the amount you drink. Other beers and snacks can be ordered from the screen. The staff was friendly and the snacks were good!

Great place, extremely atmospheric.

Didn’t order food due to not having a variety of food to choose from. The self service machine didn’t appear to work and was very delayed, when pressing the screen. When pressed the screen didn’t register. which was off putting, majority the drinks seemed to be beer. Atmosphere was calm, weren’t advised or made aware that had to pay in cash if under certain limit but waiter was nice allows us to use card. ( maybe make customers aware of this who aren’t citizens)

Nice pub with the stapler in the center of the table. It is possible to pour lager beer yourself or order other types of drinks or food. The waiters are very kind and explain to people how to use the stapler.

Twice we wanted to have a drink there... Turned away! We hadn't booked... although the place was almost deserted!

Small crumb nachos, dry burger buns for €14 without fries, no good beer. It's a shame, because the store has potential. Tourist Trap…

It's worth a visit every time I'm in Berlin. I like the concept that you can order everything from the taps at the table and, above all, tap your own beer. You only pay for what you actually drank.

Reservation system is very silly. When the place is still empty at 11pm, they do not accept you even the reservations are not there and the reservation time has passed. Employees’ approach is kind of rude in this sense. Never again

While the place was almost empty, they did not ask for a reservation. We couldn't understand why they took such an approach. I wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend it. It didn't feel safe, just for your information.

Unfortunately the concept doesn't convince me. The taps on the table are funny, but operating the terminal on top is difficult. The control is imprecise and the overview is a disaster, the mix of German and English doesn't make it any better. We were the first of the evening, you can safely pour away the first liter from the taps, sporty for 11€ a litre. The burger could have been good if it wasn't cold. In the end, payments are made in a never-ending confusion, as our beer was sent via a collective account, which was extremely unsatisfactory. There was a free drink for the late and cold meal. In the end the waiter couldn't remember any more and we had to argue. Conclusion; Sporty prices without service, but long waiting times for cold food - the ratio is not right here. We won't be coming back.

When you see the sanitary facilities, you hope that the kitchen is better. The service seemed to be more than overwhelmed on the day we were there. It was therefore a very bad atmosphere. Unfortunately, everything from the menu is not stored in your ordering system. But somehow you can't order it from the waiter either 🤷🏻‍♂️ Then next time it would be better to go to a restaurant with simple staff without crappy computer technology on the table.

We went to The Pub a few days ago and we love the concept of pouring your own beer. It’s good fun. The food was surprisingly good and the service was ok. Until it came to paying. One of the parties at our table paid. And then the last member of the party paid a significantly higher sum. Being told that 2 meals were left unpaid for. No problem. Everyone paid but when it came to checking the receipts everyone had paid for everything they had. We were double charged for 2 meals and the transaction in question had mysteriously disappeared from the till (Kasse). We were told to see if it would be deducted from our bank. Which it was. And in return given some free shots. And although it was a nice good will gesture. It doesn’t cover the price of 2 meals which we didn’t have. My advice, don’t pay for anything until you’ve checked that it’s the correct amount.

It's worth going home early here. Ice cube-heavy Cola and Fanta, tasteless and half-raw burgers, non-existent coffee and an atmosphere that is rather unsuitable for a Christmas party forced me to leave the event early. The appearance and cleanliness of the men's toilet (single toilet). do not close from the inside) reminded me of the train station toilet at Schmalkalden train station at the end of the 80s. Unfortunately I can't recommend anything here.

Was für ein toller Ort in Berlin. Wir hatten viel Spaß und jede Menge Bier und tolles Essen. Für den nächsten Trip ein Muss.

A great shop in the S-Bahn arches near Alexanderplatz. The store appears clean and well-maintained. Never again. Out of 5 orders spread over the evening, 4 were wrong. Ordered 0.4 liters each and received small glasses. My "0.4 l tonic" was replaced by a smaller gin (!!!) tonic without comment. Then the glass rinse that is attached to the tables sprayed three times!!!! completely full. We then put the menu over it so as not to get wet any further. The waiter didn't think it was funny at all, tore down the cards and got himself covered in squirt. Karma :) He spilled my drink, which then got on my shirt and pants. No sorry, no replacement. I told him that it wasn't okay. He then brought another gin and tonic and said: it's on the house. For the fact that our clothes were wet, my drink was spilled and I was given alcohol that I personally didn't want to drink, an apology and a replacement would be the minimum. Then the wrong drink came again, we even took a photo when ordering. The waiter said he could explain to us how to order... such a cheek. But that wasn't just the case for us. Absolute disaster. Never again!

You can't give anything other than 5 stars. Highly recommended. I would go there again and again. Very nice staff, delicious food and good beer. Simply a wonderful pub. Definitely recommended!

Nice pub to always drink freshly tapped beer. Of course, tapping it yourself at the table is a lot of fun. Drinking beer is further motivated by an advertisement showing which branch in the world or which table in the restaurant currently has the most on the bill. Orders beyond this can be placed directly on the tray at the table for food and snacks.

Quaint pub, completely different than usual. Beer you can tap yourself at some tables, but also a good Guinness right at the bar. Well attended, it invites you to stay. Very nice!

I don't know about beer, but it's a great hamburger restaurant. Fanta is also delicious.

Möpse Drinking Beer (The Pub) is a cool, rustic pub in the S-Bahn arch near Alexanderplatz... It's right in the middle between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt... There's a gas pump with four beer taps on every table... Very tasty food and beer for yourself Spigot… Friendly, competent staff… We have been coming to this pub for years now, as is tradition… Recommended with reservations…

Möpse Trinken Bier (The Pub) ist ein geiler uriger Pub im S-Bahnbogen in der Nähe vom Alexanderplatz… Liegt genau in der Mitte zwischen Alexanderplatz und Hackeschen Markt… Auf jedem Tisch ist eine Zapfsäule mit vier Bierhähnen… Sehr leckere Speisen und Bier zum selber Zapfen… Freundliches Fachkompetentes Personal… Wir kommen nun schon seit Jahren Traditions gemäß in diesem Pub… Vorbehaltlich zu empfehlen…
