The Pub in Berlin

Great atmosphere and I loved being able pour my own beers at the table. Service, when needed, was excellent and the burger I had was probably the best burger I've ever had, anywhere. Warning: there's a 'scoreboard' on the large TV showing which table has has currently decanted the most beer; it became tempting to drink more than we really should!

The idea of ​​each table having its own beer tapping system is very nice. Adequate cost also considered the position. Preferable to book via the site.

Love the concept of pouring your own beer, 4 taps per table. Splitting bills made simple for large groups with the easy to follow digital display above the taps. Cool location in the rail arch’s and decorated well inside. Food available was a great quality and the burgers were a highlight, generous portions. Went as family but very popular with stag and party venue which didn’t detract from the enjoyment.

Mega cool experience. This was my second time here and it was always great. And the burger with the sweet potato fries was super delicious🍾

Everything was reserved, we just wanted a quick drink on the go, the entire counter was free...

First time visiting the pub very close to the train station. The staff were friendly and polite. There was a second service touch screen at the table it was very temperamental and kept freezing. I only ordered some drinks. Apart from that, the scene was good.

Basic beer is charged per liter, and this is a pub where you can enjoy light and inexpensive beer. Recommended for those who drink a lot of beer!

For regular lager, you are charged for the amount you drink. Other beers and snacks can be ordered from the screen. The staff was friendly and the snacks were good!

Didn’t order food due to not having a variety of food to choose from. The self service machine didn’t appear to work and was very delayed, when pressing the screen. When pressed the screen didn’t register. which was off putting, majority the drinks seemed to be beer. Atmosphere was calm, weren’t advised or made aware that had to pay in cash if under certain limit but waiter was nice allows us to use card. ( maybe make customers aware of this who aren’t citizens)

Nice pub with the stapler in the center of the table. It is possible to pour lager beer yourself or order other types of drinks or food. The waiters are very kind and explain to people how to use the stapler.

Twice we wanted to have a drink there... Turned away! We hadn't booked... although the place was almost deserted!

"The Pub" is a great place to spend time with friends or just relax after a long day. Right from the doorstep, we are greeted by a pleasant, informal atmosphere that is conducive to conversation and fun. The menu is varied, with a wide selection of beers and drinks as well as tasty snacks. I especially recommend their wings - they are perfectly seasoned and served with delicious sauces. The prices are very affordable, which makes "The Pub" a great place for meetings without burdening your wallet. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Always ready to advise on the selection of drinks or dishes. An additional advantage is the organized events, such as quizzes or sports broadcasts, which attract crowds and create a great atmosphere. Overall, "The Pub" is definitely a place worth visiting. Great atmosphere, tasty food and drinks and friendly service make me happy to come back here in the future.

It's worth a visit every time I'm in Berlin. I like the concept that you can order everything from the taps at the table and, above all, tap your own beer. You only pay for what you actually drank.

Reservation system is very silly. When the place is still empty at 11pm, they do not accept you even the reservations are not there and the reservation time has passed. Employees’ approach is kind of rude in this sense. Never again

While the place was almost empty, they did not ask for a reservation. We couldn't understand why they took such an approach. I wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend it. It didn't feel safe, just for your information.

Unfortunately the concept doesn't convince me. The taps on the table are funny, but operating the terminal on top is difficult. The control is imprecise and the overview is a disaster, the mix of German and English doesn't make it any better. We were the first of the evening, you can safely pour away the first liter from the taps, sporty for 11€ a litre. The burger could have been good if it wasn't cold. In the end, payments are made in a never-ending confusion, as our beer was sent via a collective account, which was extremely unsatisfactory. There was a free drink for the late and cold meal. In the end the waiter couldn't remember any more and we had to argue. Conclusion; Sporty prices without service, but long waiting times for cold food - the ratio is not right here. We won't be coming back.

We went to The Pub a few days ago and we love the concept of pouring your own beer. It’s good fun. The food was surprisingly good and the service was ok. Until it came to paying. One of the parties at our table paid. And then the last member of the party paid a significantly higher sum. Being told that 2 meals were left unpaid for. No problem. Everyone paid but when it came to checking the receipts everyone had paid for everything they had. We were double charged for 2 meals and the transaction in question had mysteriously disappeared from the till (Kasse). We were told to see if it would be deducted from our bank. Which it was. And in return given some free shots. And although it was a nice good will gesture. It doesn’t cover the price of 2 meals which we didn’t have. My advice, don’t pay for anything until you’ve checked that it’s the correct amount.

When you see the sanitary facilities, you hope that the kitchen is better. The service seemed to be more than overwhelmed on the day we were there. It was therefore a very bad atmosphere. Unfortunately, everything from the menu is not stored in your ordering system. But somehow you can't order it from the waiter either 🤷🏻‍♂️ Then next time it would be better to go to a restaurant with simple staff without crappy computer technology on the table.

It's worth going home early here. Ice cube-heavy Cola and Fanta, tasteless and half-raw burgers, non-existent coffee and an atmosphere that is rather unsuitable for a Christmas party forced me to leave the event early. The appearance and cleanliness of the men's toilet (single toilet). do not close from the inside) reminded me of the train station toilet at Schmalkalden train station at the end of the 80s. Unfortunately I can't recommend anything here.

Was für ein toller Ort in Berlin. Wir hatten viel Spaß und jede Menge Bier und tolles Essen. Für den nächsten Trip ein Muss.

Service is ok but the food- the lowest ever had since a long time. Realy cheap industrial food… not even worth 1Euro.

A great shop in the S-Bahn arches near Alexanderplatz. The store appears clean and well-maintained. You can order food and drinks via the terminal at the tap, whereby each table also has a tap with four beer taps from which you can tap a fresh beer The prices are reasonable and the burgers are also top. Never again. Out of 5 orders spread over the evening, 4 were wrong. Ordered 0.4 liters each and received small glasses. My "0.4 l tonic" was replaced by a smaller gin (!!!) tonic without comment. Then the glass rinse that is attached to the tables sprayed three times!!!! completely full. We then put the menu over it so as not to get wet any further. The waiter didn't think it was funny at all, tore down the cards and got himself covered in squirt. Karma :) He spilled my drink, which then got on my shirt and pants. No sorry, no replacement. I told him that it wasn't okay. He then brought another gin and tonic and said: it's on the house. For the fact that our clothes were wet, my drink was spilled and I was given alcohol that I personally didn't want to drink, an apology and a replacement would be the minimum. Then the wrong drink came again, we even took a photo when ordering. The waiter said he could explain to us how to order... such a cheek. But that wasn't just the case for us. Absolute disaster. Never again!

You can't give anything other than 5 stars. Highly recommended. I would go there again and again. Very nice staff, delicious food and good beer. Simply a wonderful pub. Definitely recommended!

Nice pub to always drink freshly tapped beer. Of course, tapping it yourself at the table is a lot of fun. Drinking beer is further motivated by an advertisement showing which branch in the world or which table in the restaurant currently has the most on the bill. Orders beyond this can be placed directly on the tray at the table for food and snacks.

Quaint pub, completely different than usual. Beer you can tap yourself at some tables, but also a good Guinness right at the bar. Well attended, it invites you to stay. Very nice!

I don't know about beer, but it's a great hamburger restaurant. Fanta is also delicious.

Möpse Drinking Beer (The Pub) is a cool, rustic pub in the S-Bahn arch near Alexanderplatz... It's right in the middle between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt... There's a gas pump with four beer taps on every table... Very tasty food and beer for yourself Spigot… Friendly, competent staff… We have been coming to this pub for years now, as is tradition… Recommended with reservations…

Möpse Trinken Bier (The Pub) ist ein geiler uriger Pub im S-Bahnbogen in der Nähe vom Alexanderplatz… Liegt genau in der Mitte zwischen Alexanderplatz und Hackeschen Markt… Auf jedem Tisch ist eine Zapfsäule mit vier Bierhähnen… Sehr leckere Speisen und Bier zum selber Zapfen… Freundliches Fachkompetentes Personal… Wir kommen nun schon seit Jahren Traditions gemäß in diesem Pub… Vorbehaltlich zu empfehlen…

Very tasty food and generous portions, but also for a hefty price - hence a star deduction. Nice staff, ouzo on the house, cold beer. Ambience a bit kitschy, but that's a matter of taste.

You can tap your own beer from the table's own tap and the amount of beer tapped at each table is displayed on the monitor above the entrance. It definitely has a certain fun factor. It will then be credited at the end. Other drinks and food are ordered via a control terminal. Unfortunately, the currywurst was only average and the more than 10 euros are very ambitious. Fishburger was ok. Staff was super friendly.

Super friendly staff, they were patient and explained everything well, so over all great service, the atmosphere was fun, it was buzzing with all the people having a great time! We ordered cheese burgers, the pub burger and some drinks, food was really good, and i would reccommend everyone to try this place out! We didnt try out the tap sadly, but everyone else seemed to really enjoy it!

Good service, nice and chilled but still a nice atmosphere. Food was good too. Beer was hard to pull without it being so frothy, but it got slightly easier over time. Nice decor. Had fun. ALSO: You need to book in advance. Not sure why though as we tried to get in the day before as soon as they opened and they couldn’t fit us in despite there being plenty of space. We then booked it the next day to get a table as soon as it opened. We saw them turn people away like we had the night before. I’m guessing people book for free then just don’t turn up? Doesn’t really make sense for business as they’re turning people away. Also, they don’t know how long you’ll be there for. Just worth noting.

The staff are not welcoming and don’t seem to want to serve drinks. The place is listed as open until 2 am but a party of 2 for drinks was rudely turned away at 11:21 pm. Needless to say we are not Berliners which likely explains our poor treatment. Not worth a trip. Avoid at all costs.

The principle of this bar/restaurant is very simple: you eat classics (eg burger) and compete with your table companions over drinks. In the middle of the tables you will find four beer pumps and a screen which allows you to select which guests are serving themselves. On the same screen, we can therefore follow the competition between the members of the table through the quantities of beer served. Above the entrance to the restaurant, there is another screen which reports the competition between the tables and even with other restaurants of the same brand.

Unfortunately not recommended even on the second attempt. It would actually be a very nice idea if the screens were on and basically implemented quite well, but if the staff is so rude and unfriendly, it's just no fun. The first time I thought, “caught on the wrong foot.” Unfortunately, that seems to be normal. Apparently there are enough tourists who won't come back anyway. Too bad... Edit: Very disappointing that a lawyer is trying to remove this review! I would recommend sticking to it and using it as an incentive to improve...

I didn't eat, but above all the service and the ambience were unique. The atmosphere under the tables was really cool. You were shown how to tap correctly and anyone who can't do it yet should definitely take advantage of it. The prices are pretty reasonable, so if you just want to drink beer there are cheaper alternatives. But this ambience is really unique, so you can definitely plan for it.

I don't think their burgers are any good. Too much lettuce (not shredded) and the patty slides right out when you bite it. Too little lettuce and the bun disintegrates. The Pub fell into the too much lettuce bucket.

I was there on a Saturday night, I was treated very badly. The place was less than half full, they have put me in the corner of the bar, were it was the most hidden place, though the balcony was empty. I speak a little bit of German, so I ordered in English as I was temporarily in Berlin for a business trip. They talked bad things about me among each other in my face (in German). Never ever going back. Don't recomend at all. Besides that, the beer and the ambient are nice.

Place empty, refuse us to buy food or drinks. We had been walking all day & just needed a meal. Found someplace else but noticed the Pub Betlin stayed empty. Weird

Looks like a good pub, but unfortunately they said that we are from Poland and we can't drink here, we ask for a beer but she told us that we can drink only outside (was raining), we refused to drink outside so she pour out beers.. really didn't expect this in Europe

We wanted to go in for a beer, but we were discriminated against for talking in a language other than German, so we were judged to be too drunk, which was completely wrong, I do not recommend this place

Nice food and tapping your own beer is great! Hardly any carbon dioxide in the beer and extremely annoying touchscreens reduce the enjoyment...

Very scenic and in a picturesque location. Cozy with real fire. Outside seating overlooking the river. Lots of stupendous flower baskets. River trips available. Covered outside seating also available. Friendly staff. We had lunch and it was nice fresh seeming. I did think that one main dish, a very shallow 6 or 7 inch diameter vegetable tart with watercress and shallot salad (which turned out to be a small amount of watercress and a small amount of shallot just on the plate with the tart - not a prepared salad with watercress and shallot being elements of the 'salad') represented particularly poor value at 14 pounds. We shared a portion of Triple fried chips at 4 pounds, only 358 calories so we definitely didn't have too many of those either! The sort that are served vertically in a little stainless cup.

Fantastic service from Sam brilliant bar staff, could use training on how to pour a Guinness she couldn’t shamrock hearts in the foam🥲 but other than that 5/5. Great pub with friendly atmosphere. Recommend trying the Berliner luft. Great pub lovely staff.

Our tap just output a lot of foam. When we asked for help the server just drew more foam (which was added to our tab) and said that it worked now. It didn't. Tried to get help for an hour then gave up. Only redeeming thing is that we didn't have to pay once I showed the one taking our payment that our tap didn't work, so it was only a waste of time

Trovato per caso passeggiando per Alexanderplatz, ci ha incuriosito e siamo entrati. È possibile mangiare solo all'interno, ordinando con dei tablet non molto funzionali. Il cibo è complessivamente buono e il locale pulito ma la pecca è il personale! Se siete dei turisti (e specialmente se non parlate tedesco) vi ritroverete davanti uno staff particolarmente distaccato e scontroso, complice anche il fatto che le interazioni sono ridotte al minimo e di conseguenza le poche volte che venivano chiamati risultavano scocciati (parlare di allergie e minimi cambiamenti sembra quasi un colpa).

Really nice evening out, food was good and the self-serve beer is nice but expensive. Great atmosphere and good staff makes it worth a visit. It was roasting while I was there, air con not doing much to make it colder!

As a beer lover, and frequently visitor of the franchise in the past (mainly in Czechia) I had the expectations high. Here I did not found the same vibe as the other “Pubs”. The beer is expensive (even for German standards), it is not Pilsner Urquell as one could expect (even though it tastes suspiciously similar) and considering you are taping your own beer, it can quickly get out of hand if you are not careful. The food options are mostly limited to hamburgers, and a few other “beer food” options, but the food was well served. The service was ok, considering that they only give you the intro when you arrive and bring the food you order on the screen.

I don't remember this part of the night. However, the footage suggests it was good.

Place looked promising. Super cool idea with taps at the table but they only offer one beer-Pils. And the waiter was super rude and not at all helpful when trying to order a different beer. He actually rolled his eyes when I asked him politely if they offered other beers and how to go about ordering them. Would not recommend this place. There are many other friendlier beer gardens to choose from.

It was very empty when we went it, but it may have been earlier than normal for dinner. The staff were attentive informative and the food was great. Kind of confusing touchscreen ordering but it all worked out. Food was outstanding.

The pub is racist and refused us entry because we’re Asian although the pub is completely empty. They made us wait at the door for 10 minute before approaching extremely rude.

The menu said ananas saft was 3.5 euros, so I ordered it, but I was surprised to see it cost 7 euros..🥹 I may have read it wrong, but the price difference is big. Still, I enjoyed the soccer game and the staff were friendly.

Check your receipts. I didn't look at the venue and later split the bill between friends. Found that the venue charged for drinks we did not receive. We only drank from the tap but later found €30 of other drinks ordered at the bar. We didn't order these. I like the venue, but honestly, there are better places to drink and enjoy in Berlin.

Frisches Berliner Bier zum Selberzapfen. Jeder Tisch hat 4 Bierhähne und man kann auf der digitalen Anzeige bis zu 10 Benutzerkonten anlegen, die dann auch einzeln abgerechnet werden können. Man bezahlt nur das, was man verbraucht. Dazu gibt es leckere Burger und andere Köstlichkeiten und man kann noch andere Getränke beim Kellner bestellen. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und der Laden verrückt ausgestaltet mit vielen Mops-Motiven, Wir hatten zu sechst einen Tisch reserviert und einen wunderbaren Abend. Eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung!

Honestly a very disappointing experience. I was excited since the Pub gets good reviews. Relatively cool interior. The food took forever to come, ordering was complicated, once the food did come it was COLD. Very expensive (20 for a burger and fries. It was cool that there was a tap at the table for beer to use, but the tap constantly dripped and I had to ask the waitress to take the .2L off the tab since we didn’t drink at all during dinner. Don’t come here if you want good food, hot food, or a good deal.

They didn’t have our reservation and argued (quite rudely) about it but gave us a table anyway. It wasn’t particularly busy but we waited almost an hour for the food and it was cold when it arrived. They then forgot to bring the bill. Food tasted ok and one of the waiters was lovely but it’s not an experience I’m likely to repeat. It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to it.

Beer is warm and with lots of foam. Staff is rude if you don't have a reservation, even if you are late and the bar is empty. So much technology to order something and you still cannot pay by card. Kitchen closes very early, no food.

Decent food, very slow service and rude staff and above all very very expensive, a hamburger more than twenty euros!
