Over the weekend, we had a rather unusual experience on the phone. Our polite request to add one more person to our existing table reservation for five was flatly refused due to lack of space. Instead, we were told to call back within five minutes to confirm whether we would be a party of five or not at all. On our first attempt to let them know we would remain at five, no one answered. On our second attempt, we were curtly informed that the table had been given to someone else because we hadn't adhered to the allotted time. All of this was delivered in an extremely rude, not to say outrageous, tone. Well, it seems the current business climate is such that a few more or less guests don't really matter. Let's hope, for the owners' sake, that it stays that way. In any case, we discovered a lovely Italian restaurant in a nearby town that we will now be visiting more often.

The best pizza for miles around! We only order from there, even if you sometimes have to wait a bit longer. That shows they're always busy because the food is simply delicious!

Very tasty food. The meat isn't too salty. I'll definitely be back.
