The food was delicious. There were nine of us in a group of colleagues. Interesting dishes.

The food was tasty, but there's room for improvement, and definitely room for improvement. The decor is very rustic, and the tables for two are a bit cramped and uncomfortable due to the close proximity to other guests. During our visit, the restaurant was very busy, and there was apparently a buffet going on outside, which is why taking our order took a while. All in all, though, it's a good place for traditional German cuisine.

After several of my clients and friends recommended the Kartoffelhaus (Potato House), I went there yesterday with a companion. I've rarely felt so comfortable in a restaurant. Besides the attentive service, the food was absolutely outstanding. Refined, lovingly prepared, and delicious. It couldn't be better. THANK YOU. See you very soon.

Very good and clever dishes, the meat and side dishes were high quality, but my dish was missing that little extra something, like a sophisticated sauce. I had the Mediterranean chicken. My companion had the gourmet schnitzel and she really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was very cozy, and we felt at home. All in all, highly recommended.

We've been meeting at Knolle for dinner for years. This time, we couldn't make an early evening reservation because there were no tables available. We accepted the offer of a later time via email. The food was excellent as always, special requests were no problem, and we were able to sit and chat for a long time. I'd also like to specifically mention the friendly service throughout the evening and the friendly personal conversation with Ms. Debus.

Well, yeah. A typical Hamm restaurant that just isn't keeping up with the times. What a shame. There were six of us there. It took FOREVER to even get the menus, but everything else took a really long time too. The food was absolutely greasy, and by the evening I was getting stomachaches. And even for that much fat, it wasn't particularly tasty. It was okay, but nothing more. The prices are really above average. My "highlight" was that my question about whether they could pack up the leftovers was apparently so unusual that they responded with incomprehension and annoyed looks. They don't have to-go boxes, after all. And the fact that they didn't want to have several dishes packed together was apparently too much to ask. All in all, not a recommendation. The restaurant definitely needs to improve.

Despite the restaurant's busy schedule, you never feel too crowded or too loud, making it perfect for enjoying your meal in peace and quiet while having a relaxed conversation! We happened upon this restaurant yesterday, August 30, 2025, while passing through, and stopped in. Since we didn't have a reservation, we were only able to get a very small table. But that didn't bother us. The service staff was very friendly. The entire restaurant was very clean. We then ordered jacket potatoes with herring salad and fillet tips in whiskey sauce. Both were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, it's too far for us to come here often for dinner.

A nice location with a rich menu, including potato-based dishes. The food was very good, as was the service, but the tables are very close together, so sometimes you can't go to the bathroom without someone at the next table getting up. The noise level is also quite high. There's a very nice outdoor area where you can sit comfortably in good weather. It's definitely worth a visit.

We were there for my birthday this year, on a Monday. We thought the food was very good, and the service was excellent, but you should never skimp on the fries, which was a shame!

We've been here several times now. The food has always been delicious and attractively presented. Some of the dishes are even very unusual, with matching decorations. One example is the "Karre Mist," which is served in a small wooden cart. The service there is excellent, and you can often stay longer than the opening hours indicate. In summer, you can also sit outside. I highly recommend this place. The prices are reasonable, in my opinion, and the portions are more than sufficient.

We ate here today. The friendly waitress came to our table quite quickly, brought the menus, and immediately took our drink orders. As the drinks arrived, we took our food orders. We ordered the vegan vegetable platter and the vegetarian vegetable casserole "Toscana." After about 1.5 hours (yes, it really did take that long), we got our food. My vegetable casserole was vegan instead of vegetarian. In principle, I wouldn't have minded, but instead of baked cheese, the vegan version had a kind of pesto with half walnut pieces on top. That was extremely bad, because I'm highly allergic to nuts. At least the menu could have said a topping like some kind of pesto with nuts. Oh well, I ate it, so I could eat it. I didn't want to order again; it would probably have taken just as long again. The taste, however, was so-so. Pretty bland. So, overall, this was a disappointment.

At the Knolle restaurant, we had Argentinian salad, salmon fillet 😋, and the vegetarian menu for my friend Flor, who said she really enjoyed her dinner. 😃 All the staff are friendly.😃👍🏻 Good service, and so is the menu. 😋The waitresses and kitchen staff are friendly.😃 Thanks, Gretta 🌷😃

The food was actually very good, but the children's fish fingers smelled strongly of fish. My daughter didn't want to eat them either. The service initially seemed unfriendly, but then became friendly. The atmosphere was fine.

To be honest, I wasn't that satisfied. It tasted quite good, but it was too dry, and the edges of the pancake were overcooked, making it really hard. On top of that, the portion was unfortunately extremely small, and that was €20. I didn't feel full. My fellow diners were mostly very satisfied with their food, although the baked potato wasn't particularly well-received and was quite small. The service was okay, but the one-hour wait was a bit long. The ambiance was mediocre; it was basically just a large room, and unfortunately, very noisy as a result.

We arrived at short notice without a reservation. We arrived at 4:30 p.m. and were allowed to stay until 6 p.m. because two large groups had reservations. It was perfectly fine for us, of course. The service was super friendly. The food was simply divine. Even requests for side dishes were immediately accommodated. The menu had special pages with vegetarian and vegan dishes, which also offered a wide selection. The price was also perfectly reasonable for the quality of the food. We'd be happy to come back.

The waitresses who were there on May 29th were absolutely fantastic: very polite, helpful, and nice. It's a pleasure to be served by them. It automatically makes the whole atmosphere much more fun and enjoyable. The little one, in particular, is very sweet. Great food!!!!!

🤔After many years, I had dinner at the Knolle in Hamm again because my mother wanted that for her birthday. In hindsight I have to say we weren't disappointed either. Since my mother can no longer walk so well and is in a wheelchair, I had my concerns at first. But everything worked out well. We were able to park right in front of the entrance area. The entrance area had a step, but it could be climbed with a wheelchair. The tuber itself is simply furnished and beautifully decorated. We were greeted by the friendly owner of the Knolle who showed us to our table. The menu was manageable, which I personally find better than overloaded menus, as this usually always comes at the expense of the quality of the prepared food. I chose the “Hammer Pan” Pork fillet, small Argentine rump steak, fresh mushrooms, herb butter fried potatoes, colorful salad. My mother had the “Florida” roasted dish 2 chicken medallions on Röstis with pineapple, peach, Bavaria blue and Gouda gratinated, served with a small salad plate. Not only did it all look delicious, it all tasted great too. I found the prices reasonable. It was a successful evening for us. For me, the tuber is worth recommending...that's why I give it the 👍high and ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 😉🍻

I spontaneously and quickly needed something to eat to take away and that was made possible, I even got cutlery! Very tasty, I can recommend it.

Think about the good food the next day! :) The steak from the “Hammer Pfännchen” is at least as good as that of a well-known steak restaurant! Somehow this hammer pan has become standard. I can absolutely recommend it. Simply a perfect meal for a perfect evening. Thank you! :)

The last time I was in the tuber was 20 years ago. Today it was just great. We were there with 8 people. The food was really very good. The service is really very good. We liked it so much that we even ordered dessert. This has rarely happened in recent years because many restaurants in Hamm have declined extremely. But the tuber was convincing. The apple pancake with walnut ice cream was divine. I absolutely have to have the recipe. Tasted like grandma used to make. We will be very happy to come back. Don't forget to make a reservation. The restaurant is always full until the last chair.

The tuber is a culinary highlight in Hamm! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a frequent guest, both in the restaurant and in the take-out service, I am always impressed by the quality and freshness of the dishes at the Knolle. Whether potato casserole, baked potato, potato pancake pizza or “Rustic” pork loin, every dish is a culinary delight. Ms. Debus and her team are excellent at warmly welcoming their guests with their friendly and open manner and creating a pleasant atmosphere. Even if you arrive with a large group (parents' meeting at the daycare center, team meeting, etc.), everything runs smoothly. An absolute must and my pure recommendation for lovers of German cuisine! 😊👍🏼

We got a taste for it through further training near the restaurant. Approximately every 6-8 weeks, when there were face-to-face classes, we stopped by "Die Knolle" because everything was right here. The food is very tasty, the staff is friendly and the restaurant has a feel-good atmosphere. I can only recommend it.

There were 6 of us eating at the Knolle, 5 of us had made a good choice. I ordered the cart of crap and it lived up to its name, overcooked green beans, the meat was just fine but for a restaurant called Knolle the fried potatoes were totally disappointing. I hope if I go there again to eat I won't be disappointed again.

It's very tasty what you can do with potatoes. Average price. We were here on Wednesday and it was pretty crowded! Therefore, be sure to make a reservation or call in advance for spontaneous visits.

With a number of people of 7, we had a table for 7:30 p.m. Our table was still occupied and we were allowed to have our first drink at the bar. The ambience invites you to linger, so you can easily forget the time. Of course, no one will be kicked out immediately. A wide selection of draft beer and non-alcoholic drinks is unexpectedly large. The selection of dishes is quite large, but still manageable! !!!!!! There is a separate menu for vegetarians and vegans! The food was very tasty. From the starter to the main course to the dessert. Highly recommended! Little note: The restaurant is very cozy, tables are (probably) served one after the other. So you should bring “time”. Thanks for the evening.

It was probably once a neighborhood pub, as everything inside suggests it. We were guests at a wedding reception and we really enjoyed it there. The buffet food was plentiful and certainly covered many tastes. If you want to eat there as a normal guest, I recommend kek, call and book a table. We drove back to Münster with a good feeling.

Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. It wasn't overcrowded on Mondays. The fried potatoes were totally mushy - strange in a potato restaurant. The schnitzel and salad were good. The second drink was also forgotten.

We discovered this “potato house” years ago on a bike tour and have been there many times since. Since it is located a bit outside in a residential area, it is not easy to notice it. As the name suggests, everything related to potatoes is available here - always fresh and delicious. Sitting in the cozy interior is just as nice as outside in the small beer garden. The nice boss and her ladies offer friendly and attentive service.

I was there once many years ago and didn't like it that much. A few weeks ago I was there again and I don't know why I didn't like it back then. The food was bomb, tasted great, you could taste the freshness and that it was homemade and everything was very nicely prepared. The staff was very nice. In terms of taste, it was the best meal I've had in a long time.

Such a cute little place. As the name “Die Knolle” suggests, the focus of the dishes is on the potatoes. We had potato pancakes with different toppings. Something new, but really tasty. Full points from me. We will come back in any case.

We had booked a table for 7 p.m. When we arrived our table was still occupied and people had to finish their drinks quickly to clear the table for us. This took about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, when we sat down, nothing else happened. No order was taken for us. There was no menu and we were completely ignored. After 30 minutes we left the restaurant. Sorry, that doesn't work at all. Very unfortunate. Getting up and leaving was the only option as there was no one to talk to.
