The Doner in Hamburg

We ordered a doner kebab and a cheeseburger. The doner kebab was very good, so there was nothing wrong with it. The burger itself was good, but the meat wasn't cooked through on the inside. A bit of a shame.

We're regular customers, and for good reason. The best kebab in Hamburg, great vegan options, and first-class service. The food is always served with a smile, no matter how busy it is. Great place, definitely recommended.

This was my first time here. The design in the photos really appealed to me, and I wasn't disappointed. It's really lovely and cozy, with a super friendly and honest team. And the food? Simply fantastic, nothing more needs to be said.

Friendly staff, one of the best kebabs I've ever seen, and a nice place to eat. I also think it's great that they give you a free stamp card with every 10th kebab. And all that with your otherwise fair prices. Definitely worth a visit.

First-class service, a standard but pleasant atmosphere, and the doner meat itself was nothing special. However, the sauces and extras were delicious. To finish, there were three sweet treats, very tasty.

A really chic, clean shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The doner kebab is good, the grilled meat was really amazing, the rice was good quality, and the bread was fresh and warm. For €20.90 (I think), it's really amazing. I highly recommend it.

You're basically doing everything wrong when ordering a doner kebab. But not at TheDöner! Whether freshly made or delivered, the doner kebab remains my absolute favorite in Hamburg. The side dishes aren't layered like at other places, where you just eat salad first and then the meat; instead, everything is mixed together really well. The meat is very juicy and flavorful, and the bread is crispy and delicious. Simply top-notch!

All the sauces are delicious, the spicy vegetable sauce is my favorite—something different. The doner kebab plate is a very good portion for the price, with fresh salad and plenty of tomatoes. Warm bread comes with the order. It's also worth eating in!

We just had a kebab plate to take away for the first time and an extra portion of fries for our son. Unfortunately, the fries weren't cooked through, neither in the kebab plate nor in the extra portion; my son didn't want to eat them. So they ended up in the trash... The sauces were okay. Despite the mention of no onions, unfortunately there were onions. Unfortunately, fries that are not cooked through on the kebab plate make the overall result more than bad.

It was the most delicious doner kebab I had in Hamburg, a very friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, and best of all, a friendly conversation with tea after the meal 👍

My son ate a kebab from you on Easter Saturday (nothing before) He barely made it home...stomach/intestinal...fever today! And no, he was doing great before. Man, cool your goods and only sell fresh stuff. This is really disgusting.

The Dürüm might have been tasty. Unfortunately it was drowned in so much sauce that you couldn't taste any of the rest. Or is there a principle behind it that you have to hide the taste of the meat? This can be done better.

I have a German Döner kebab shop back home that have the same style and as much I love the one back home this German doner kebab was simply amazing The flavours just click and honestly will be coming back here before I fly home.

The taste of the kebab is really good and significantly better than many others in Wandsbek or Hamburg. The bread is not the great triangular flatbread, but it is also a flatbread and much better than the "sandwich pockets" used in many places. I'm particularly excited that red cabbage is finally available. The meat and the tzatziki sauce were also really tasty. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely subpar. They offer 5 vegetarian options (vegetable, feta, saitan, halloumi, falafel). Ordered halloumi, a short time later "we didn't", asked about Saitan, nobody understood what we wanted from them, it couldn't be clarified (with 4 employees), asked about falafel, first yes then no then yes again, so At some point we were completely confused. The falafel doner was then prepared, but if we hadn't been careful, we would have taken the next customer's veal doner, which was already in our bag. In addition, instead of the falafel doner, the vegetable doner was charged for more money, but luckily we noticed this. Conclusion: complete lack of structure, employees who don't know what they have to offer and are relatively unfriendly and quite a bit of chaos in general. I hope it gets better over time because it tasted good. Addendum: ate the kebab again, the mess actually got better. Unfortunately, the size of the dish and the amount of sauce depends heavily on who prepares it. All in all, a really good kebab and dürüm.

The Döner would have a lot of potential but there are 3 men behind the counter and 2 You can't make a kebab from that, too much salad too little erases too much sauce, a bit spicy is so heavy that it's inedible and when you discover a menu you pay and ask for fries after you have the bag in your hand and all 3 Only then do you notice that fries are part of the menu, very faintly. It should Someone standing there who can make a kebab and not something like that...

Disappointing I was looking forward to a delicious kebab, but unfortunately the experience was anything but satisfactory. The kebab was to be taken away, and it was only when I got home that I discovered that it was not only cold, but also prepared completely incorrectly - despite clear information that the employee had even written down. The ingredients were not what I wanted and the taste was disappointing. I definitely expected more for this price. It's a shame, but I'd rather order from Balat again in the future - I know the quality is right there.

The Döner box here is much tastier than most Döners we’ve tried in Hamburg. But hygiene wise, they could probably do better. Small modern shop, the Dürüm is good but not the best, the meat was slightly oversalted, the Dürüm bread could be a little better for me but it's purely a matter of taste. Nevertheless, it was tasty. Would eat there again.

If I want an economic, plenty, and tasty food, here's always my choice. I can state that's one of the best donner shops in Hamburg. With a fresh buffet with so many sauce choices. Usually, their beef donner is out of stock after 8 pm. So plan your dine upfront.

I was here yesterday with my friend and we were very pleased with the vegan/vegetarian offerings. There was falafel, halloumi and seitan (meat substitute). Very nice staff and everything is fresh. We'd love to come back! Delicious.

Menu 1: The kebab was so full of sauce that it all flowed out while eating. The fries were also disappointing: undercooked, not crispy at all and dripping with grease. Unfortunately, that wasn't a good experience.

Went there today with some family members to get us all some food. A really, really nice team. Because of the large order we received tea on the house, which was served to us. There were a total of 9 dishes, which were received very quickly and easily. Within half of the tea... the order was already ready, with the question whether we would like any drinks as a gift. We decided against it because we were in a large group at home and had enough drinks at home. Personally, I really liked my kebab, the meat was very good, so of course I didn't want any sauce. Two of us were at The DONer yesterday. We ordered a kebab & a kebab plate. For the kebab: Bread crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Mega. Please keep it. Salad: Fresh and everything your heart desires. Meat: Veal and is not a rotisserie. Delicious & juicy. Not too thin but not too thick cut either. Sauce: I didn't use any to keep the meat taste. Price: 7€ Doner kebab plate: mixed veal & chicken. Portion more than fair. Salad: a little of everything but not too little. Side dish: fries. Crunchy and tasty and freshly fried. Price (only on Fridays): 13.90 including drink (0.33l) We were completely satisfied. It wasn't the best kebab we've ever eaten, but you can and should definitely pay a visit. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Very tasty kebab in Hamburg!! I usually only prefer kebab in Berlin, but this kebab comes very close. Great toasted bread, fresh ingredients, juicy meat and great sauces!! I recommend the garlic sauce. Even later in the evening you can still get a fresh kebab. Very nice and courteous service and good seating is available. I always like to come back and am more than satisfied every time and you rarely hear this from me. There is also a stamp card, so it's worth coming back!😊😊
