The Avocado Show in Stuttgart

I hope this review stays because negative reviews are supposedly being deleted... Went there today with a friend for coffee and then dinner. Unfortunately the service was catastrophic. So here are a few examples of several events during the short stay there: Neither greeting nor farewell. One dish was completely forgotten, even though both were ordered at the same time and clearly (the food wasn't tasty either, but that's not our real problem). The staff (two ladies, one blonde and the other brunette) is unfortunately very unfriendly and doesn't even look at the guests. When paying, the brunette waitress had to collect two bills because she had allegedly made a mistake (which seemed strange to us). We then asked her for the receipt and she walked away without a word (you could even say "took off"). It's a shame that you have to have such bad staff in such a nice establishment. Other guests actually didn't seem happy either. Two guests next to us were interrupted in the middle of their meal and asked if the table could be cleared (even though they were both clearly eating). But the worst thing was the fact that the two waitresses obviously and shamelessly (for no reason) gossiped about the customers! Since we both also worked in the restaurant industry, we understand that this job is not easy. However, this behavior was highly unprofessional and extremely brazen. Once and never again.

First and last time. I was there on December 26th with my girlfriend and we were both shocked by the service. I work with customers every day and can say that the service lacks any competence. You are not smiled at, greeted/say goodbye, orders are taken incorrectly (??), you are NEVER asked if everything is correct, and several of my questions were not answered for no reason. You were simply shown your back again. I would recommend a career change to the waitress. Food was also rather dry.

Bad reviews are simply deleted for no reason. Supposedly slander, even though I ate here (see picture). Had an avocado burger which in my opinion wasn't that special and was expensive. Atmosphere was good and looks great, but that's about it.

You can easily eat German food, and it's plentiful. The inside of the store was large and had a casual feel.

I have to say that I have been around a lot in my life and have had many gastronomic experiences, but what I was able to experience with my family and friends in this restaurant was subterranean!!!! I still can't believe what happened to us!!! First the manager insulted us without a greeting or introduction and asked us to move our mini poodle from the couch to the floor (mind you, he was sitting on my jacket!!!), then he came over again and said our children had the toilets locked from the outside, then he probably forbade my 14 year old daughter and her friend to come back in after the two had left the store and wanted to go back to get a hat. I was still sitting inside with my friend and my husband, then he came back on our table and burst in in the middle of our conversation with the words: pay now, we need the table!!! So dear local owner, I've already noticed that it's very difficult to get good staff these days, but this is really bodily harm!!! I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life, it has nothing to do with a lack of competence, it borders on criminal!!! Luckily I didn't directly notice how this gentleman attacked my teenage daughter and her friend, otherwise I would have called the police, the girls were completely disturbed!!! I recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant, I wouldn't wish such an experience on anyone!!!

Unfortunately there is a very unfriendly Jessica/manager of this restaurant. Very disappointing.

Very nice staff, a feel-good facility, great concept! The food was always very tasty and at a great price. They also don’t lack creativity when it comes to drink variations. Only recommended :)

We had reserved for 2 people, unfortunately the reservation didn't go through through Google. Nevertheless, the waiter was able to organize a table for us. The service itself was really great. The best thing to do is just call. The food is unusually cheap. The food, on the other hand, is not star cuisine but better than some other restaurateurs. The atmosphere is very nice even if the seating is a bit cramped.

I am again very satisfied. Great ambience, attentive, friendly service and delicious food at a great price. Thank you very much. Absolutely recommended! I'd love to come back!!!

Fryer schnitzel, breading thicker than the meat :-( not recommended, roast pork was okay.

Edit: I guess I have to adjust my comment since it was deleted again. It is neither slander nor unobjective, but constructive criticism and my subjective opinion. I was in the restaurant (see photo of the burger) I'll say it again: it's a beautiful and stylish restaurant and the food looks good (for Instagram) but tastes weak. The service is good, but I think the meat is not very well seasoned and a bit overpriced.

With these cheap prices, compromises are made in terms of food quality and staff. The pork schnitzel tasted like old meat. We didn't feel comfortable. Too bad

Nicely decorated, nice staff, you can sit outside. Schnitzel perfect, fries too - great price: EUR 8.50. The avocado fries... and the espresso are particularly delicious. Environment also very nice. I thought the pink toilets were funny. Gladly again :-)

We had lunch here a month after it opened. The restaurant was quite empty, which is why the long wait was surprising. The prices are attractive, the food is okay. The burger was unfortunately more like a meatball in a bun.

Good food at great prices! Definitely worth a visit!

Decided to have a meal here due to ambiance, nice look, as well as offerings on the menu. Sadly the food came out lukewarm only and partially cold. The staff were helpful but also busier to operate as desired, very rushed and seemed a bit confused. Great location, great ambiance and huge potential, but not up to expectation for an overall good meal.

On October 6th, 2024 I had dinner here with a friend, I had schnitzel with fries, my friend had the meatballs with potato salad and sauce, both dishes were very tasty and the price was absolutely reasonable. The price of the drinks is at the normal Stuttgart gastronomy level. I'd love to come back.

I m a little confused why it’s not called the avocado show anymore but well. My experience with my friend was cool. Nothing tremendous, just fine . I ll recommend cuz the menu is really good - and it was a pity cuz you can’t pay cash out there .

Worst crevice, worst people in security - stay away

I had reserved a table for breakfast at 11:00. We got to the restaurant at 11:00 sharp only to be rudely told by an employee that they didn't open until 11:30. He had little to no interest in the reservation shown. Then another employee came and greeted us, but she wasn't interested in the reservation either - she didn't assign us a seat. Her words: “You can sit wherever you want.” We chose a table for two, but we found it too small for breakfast. So we sat down at a table for four. We then had to clear it again. The employee (who pointed out to us that there was free choice of seating) told us that we weren't allowed to sit there; if it gets full, the other people won't have a place.????????? Then she brought us the menu, but no breakfast was listed. There was no other menu. However, there is a menu on the website where breakfast is available. Then we completely lost the desire to stay in the restaurant any longer - we left. The service is catastrophic! No one there is interested in reservations (if they had, then they would have noticed that I had reserved for 3) one of the employees doesn't know their own opening times and there is no free choice of seats either. Friendliness is a foreign word there. The good thing about this experience is - I don't have to go there again.

Starting with food: The portions are really not big, but enough for us and probably the majority of people. If you don't want to fill your stomach, this place is recommended. The schnitzel is relatively good and melts in your mouth. The burger tasted relatively cheap, but was still edible. The water was relatively expensive compared to how much it tasted, the only thing that was somewhat good about it is the fact that it is organic. The service is nice and the atmosphere is nice too. Overall, a relatively good restaurant where you can stop by.

Very dissatisfied with the new concept. All dishes are ready meals, be it spaetzle, sauces and even the meat and chives - but 8.50 is overpriced. Unfortunately, the dishes don't taste much either. The lemonades are tasty (but overpriced 4.50 for 0.33).

Unfortunately, the food was cold and probably from a can. It had shredded meat and since then I have had a bloated stomach and a stomach ache. Save your money and get something good and fresh

For €8.50 for a dish you really can't expect more in downtown Stuttgart. The concept simply serves to bridge the rental period for the location of the now failed Avocado Show, which was negotiated too long in exuberance. If you ignore the price, the food was on the lower limit in terms of taste and portion sizes. But as I said, you just have to put everything in the right perspective.

Portions are very small. In terms of taste, I would describe the food as okay, but nothing special.

Flawless. Quick lunch, all €8.50. Portions are manageable, but anyone who demands huge portions or exorbitant quality at this price should perhaps ask themselves fundamentally different questions. Wine 20 € a bottle (most of them are priced at 8-10 €), really top compared to other restaurateurs. Competition takes three to four times from the EK. 5 stars not because of quality, but value for money. Anything better than this Instagram gastronomy.

I can warmly advise against it. €8.50 per portion sounds great but the portions are tiny and the quality is a disaster. I ordered the schnitzel with fries. This was the diameter of a coffee cup and came with a dozen fries. The only nice thing is the ambience, which was taken over 1:1 from the Avocado Show. Definitely not coming back.

We had dinner there and had the chicken burger as well as the regular burger and the avocado fries as a side dish. We found both burgers good and tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters are all very nice and accommodating. Of course the price is unbeatable :) So we'll definitely come back.

Food ok. A little bit and sometimes not really warm. But ok for the price. The waitress wasn't interested. Unmotivated and unfriendly.

I have now visited the restaurant twice with my colleagues because I thought I would give it a second chance. The food was partly cold both times. Cold fries in particular just don't taste good, the portions were different on both visits and the potato salad was old. We didn't complain because you really can't expect much for that price. We found drinks a bit expensive. But the service... there are waiters who go out of their way, make a real effort and waitresses who are constantly annoyed and turn around and roll their eyes at almost every customer. That doesn't work. Sorry. Otherwise a nice restaurant, as I said with slightly smaller portions and simple food. Canteen-like.

The former Avocado Show didn't convince me with the new concept. Additional charge of €1.50 for bread with the salad. Small portions, food came cold, frozen goods and not of high quality. It's better to pay more but get quality.

A big compliment to the waiter with a slight mustache who basically had to run the place on his own... Everyone else stood around awkwardly. A waiter (wavy & slicked back hair, middle parted) is probably a friend/family of the owner because he was just hanging out with his buddies who had ordered a wine in the cooler. I would have thrown him out immediately 😅 So as a guest you have to wait quite a long time and realize that the “concept” doesn’t work at all. The burger was cheap at €8.50, but nothing fancy and unfortunately burnt…

Bad, very bad. I ordered a burguer (beef) for 8.50 euros and almost threw up afterwards! The meat is PURE water and fat! Totally tasteless. They try to “hide” the bad taste with sauce but when we just eat the meat we realize what poor quality it is. Even at McDonald's it tastes better. To be honest, I would prefer to pay 3 euros more but get something good on my plate. Never again!

The glasses were yellowed and dirty with traces of lipstick. The staff were constantly arguing and in a bad mood. Customers are intentionally ignored. The burger meat was still partly frozen and smelled strange. The Caesar salad consisted of what felt like three lettuce leaves spread across a medium-sized flat plate. The concept of 8.50 euros is extremely questionable in my opinion. You won't get full here! Don't come anymore.

Food is good and matching the 8,50€ per main dishes. In contrast to this drinks are on the higher price side. Service is friendly but could be more organized. Toilets are an absolute no go and barely useable.

Unfortunately that wasn't worth the €8.50! We had 2x sausage salad with fried potatoes. The portion was tiny, the fried potatoes came from the deep fryer and were bone dry, the sausage salad had no dressing. To make the portion even smaller, there was a lettuce leaf underneath the sausage salad. When we asked for salad dressing, we were brought a small bowl with vinegar essence, the inside of the bowl was dirty and the dirt was visible through the vinegar.

I made a reservation for today by phone yesterday. I was told 11 o'clock. Today we get there and then they say in English that he's not ready yet and we have to wait another 10 minutes. Then we're back at 11.20 and someone else tells us we're still closed. And I ask him if my voucher is still valid here. He doesn't even look when he runs and says yes yes... WE GONE... What crappy service👎👎 We then ate somewhere else. Where you are happy to welcome guests. THANKS FOR NOTHING.

For simple hunger without any demands on quality. There are canteens where you actually eat better. The schnitzel hardly tastes like anything, it's easy to process, and the fries don't tear it apart either. Dry and bland. The lemon was the best thing on the lovingly prepared plate. Well, I can't expect much for €8.50, you have to be aware of that.

It's a shame that the Avocado Show no longer exists. The new menu is a lot less vegan friendly :/

A very hip and modern gstro concept. It is impressive how versatile the avocado is on offer here. Personally, I found the food to be a bit sparsely seasoned, although there was salt and pepper on the table. Service was quick and friendly. I would go here again at any time. Thanks

What can I say. Just wow. I am blown away by this restaurant. There are so many different dishes with avocado that you can't really decide at first. My favorite are definitely the pancakes with spirulina, bananas, maple syrup and raspberries! For me personally, the price-performance ratio is okay and since you don't eat something like that every day, it's totally justified. The service is very good, someone new was there and really made an effort and was very friendly and helpful with questions. The only drawback (which is just my personal opinion) was that the air conditioning was a bit too cold and unfortunately it was a bit unpleasant in the women's toilet, but you know how some people unfortunately behave in quiet places. The payment went well, but only card payment is possible in this store. :)

Seating options: small, fine covered terrace, café-like seating area on the ground floor, more tables in the basement and directly in front of the restaurant in the pedestrian zone. Small PROBLEM, construction sites all around. Lots of avocado, tasty and enough for normal hunger. Service is normally friendly and multilingual. Counter staff tend to be monosyllabic. Overall: price, offer and location worthwhile.

Sassy Salmon for a late lunch on a rainy May day. Good food. Had it without the extra rice on the side. Filling just enough for a dessert for later😎. You can ask for extra green chillies, Tabasco sauce or mango spicy mayonnaise as well. Remember to have debit card, payment without cash💥

The two of us went there on Saturday afternoon (lunchtime) and sat outside. The waitress was in a bad mood. We had some questions about drinks on the menu but she didn't know either and couldn't answer us. The food was prepared quickly, it looked good and the taste was ok. The drinks were tasty but small. The “bowl” is served in a mini plate. Both the drink and the food could have been bigger. Price was ok, but we weren't full...

Unfortunately the quality of the food was significantly worse than expected. I love avocados, but with my avocado burger (a whole avocado instead of a bun - it looks spectacular) the avocado was overripe and the burger and bacon were cold, and the fries in the other dish at the table were also cold. The ambience is very nice and stylish, but the food should also be able to keep up

We definitely won't be coming back. Tried NeoTaste for the first time and it was the worst food in a long time. Two firmly baked spinach leaves with unseasoned broccoli and a quarter of an avocado. The price is then the impudence. The service tried to save it with a portion of sour cream, which is why I give it three stars.

If you are an avocado fan I can highly recommend it. The service was also great and everyone was very friendly :)

We have eaten here several times and everything is good. Unfortunately yesterday my partner and I had a mojito and I had a Lillet Wild Berry for dinner and a few hours later we were very dizzy and our stomachs felt weird. Today, i.e. H. more than twelve hours later, we're still feeling sick. We think the alcohol used in the cocktails must be of poor quality because we only drank one cocktail each and then went home. It's not normal to feel sick for almost 20 hours after drinking just 200ml of cocktail with dinner. In addition, the price was very high as it was 10€. What a pity

This is such an amazing place! The environment is amazing. The place is beautiful the food doesn’t disappoint. It’s beyond what you’d expect, and the service is so so kind and accommodating!

Ich war mit Freunden bei Avocado Show in Stuttgart essen. Nach dem gestrigen Besuch kann ich es ganz sicher nicht weiterempfehlen. Ein Burger kostet knapp 17 Euro, was an sich noch eträglich wäre. Jedoch war der Burger minimal klein und die Pommes dazu waren sehr schlechte Teifkühlpommes und viel zu lange fritiert. Rundum war das Essen seinen viel zu überteuerten Preis nicht ansatzweise wert und man bekommt in jedem Burger King oder McDonalds ein besseres Preis/Leistungsverhältnis was echt was heißen muss. Kurzum finde ich es nur noch eine bodenlose Frechheit wie man für so einen schlechten Burger mit noch schlechteren Pommes so viel Geld verlangen kann! Nie wieder!!!

The restaurant and the food look good and colorful, sadly the food tastes like nothing. Zero spices have been added. We had to excessively use salt and pepper. Moreover the small portions are an impudence. I ordered the salmon skillet - it had maybe 5 mini salmon cubes. Way overpriced. Save your money. All in all horrible experience.

I had dinner with friends at the Avocado Show in Stuttgart. After yesterday's visit I certainly can't recommend it. A burger costs just under 17 euros, which in itself would be bearable. However, the burger was minimally small and the fries that came with it were very bad frozen fries and fried for far too long. All in all, the food wasn't even remotely worth the overpriced price and you can get better value for money in any Burger King or McDonald's, which is really saying something. In short, I just think it's a complete impudence how you can charge so much money for such a bad burger with even worse fries! Never again!!!

My visit was on April 6th, 2024 at 8 p.m. and the two of us sat outside on the pink couch. The food looks good and colorful and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. I had the Sassy Salmon Bowl. Unfortunately the food didn't taste like anything. Simply 0 taste. No spices were used at all and I literally had to sprinkle salt and pepper all over my plate. There was also far too much cooking water in the “bottom of the plate” in which my food was floating. I think it's a shame, especially when you promote “Healthy Pretty Food” and then make zero effort to make it delicious. We were greeted by a nice waitress in the restaurant, but our waiter then simply threw the menus on the table without saying hello. I asked the waiter how much an extra portion of rice cost and he replied, “I'll check, but maybe you won't be able to finish your plate. replied, which I think is very rude. We got up to pay because we were annoyed by the smell of cigarettes. We explained this to our waiter and then we discussed it. The waiter felt it necessary to lecture us on how to handle a similar situation next time. Very bad experience. Not recommendable. Never again.

The Avocado Show lives up to the hype! Amazing avocado dishes, especially the pancakes - light, flavorful, and next-level delicious. Creative, fresh, and a feast for the senses. Don't miss it!

The place is quite good in terms of atmosphere. The food was good but since it is a place with a strong emphasis on Avocados (avocado) they should have a good product and my Avocado was without much flavor, meaning not ripe. If I recommend it or not, mmm, yes, so you can make your own idea, but I'm not happy. The Lemon with Ginger lemonade is very delicious, I recommend it.

The facility and service were great! We had a very nice evening and felt very comfortable. The burger wasn't a smash though, I'd say a 5/10. Unfortunately, the edamame in the bowl didn't taste good at all, I think it was from a ready-made package and not fresh like it is served at Asian restaurants. In my opinion, the dessert wasn't worth the price either. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right in some places.

If you like avocado, you'll get your money's worth here. It was just so delicious. But make a reservation here because it could be full. A great atmosphere and we will come back for the food.

As an avocado fan, Mann und Frsu has come to the right place. The ambience is very special and makes us feel good. Four of us tested different dishes. Everything was well coordinated and served attractively. The avocado ice cream was my highlight - incredible 😋. We'd love to come back!
