Eating so miserable for €50. Kitchen staff fired immediately, all of them. Price/performance, a shame. Every simple housewife cooks and garnishes better and more lovingly with quick and uncomplicated steps. Slapped onto the plate and done. That was it for a long time.

First of all, we suspect that many of the bad reviews refer to the restaurant next door (meeting point by the lake). Because purely in terms of taste, the food is really difficult to agree with, which the reviews don't reflect. We had the Cordon Bleu (tasted really good, decent portion, with fries and a side salad for €26, really ok) and the beetroot pancakes. However, I find that to be an absolute disgrace. These things are frozen, which isn't a problem so far, and cost 75 cents each for catering supplies. So the purchase costs €1.50 for 2 pieces. They are sold with a small dollop of sauce and a side salad for an impressive €17.20. This is beyond outrageous and in no way understandable for someone who works in the catering industry. The point of going out to eat isn't that you come home hungry because the €17.20 portion consisted of 2 small frozen patties and a side salad. If you offer convenience food because you can't think of a vegetarian or vegan dish, or there isn't enough demand for it, that's basically not a problem. But then at least add some sensible filling supplement and/or don't charge prices with a surcharge of more than 100%. A small side note: The Käsespätzle are declared vegetarian, but are not vegetarian because the cheese contains calf rennet. So if you don't eat veal, you shouldn't eat cheese spaetzle here. Service: the 2 service employees who looked after us were really top. Very friendly and very attentive. Location: The interior of the restaurant looks like an old clubhouse/sports center. It's not a problem for us at all, but if you're bothered by that and expect the most modern ambience, you're in the wrong place here. The terrace is really great and located right on the lake.

Nice welcome, we were taken to the reserved table. The drink we ordered was delivered quickly. I ordered a roast roast with fries. Salad from the buffet was also there to follow up. The roast was a thick piece of meat that tasted good but had nothing to do with roast. The whole piece of meat was completely covered in tendons which made it very tough. The product consisting of salad, fries and a piece of roast beef for around €32 is not justified. It's a shame opportunity wasted. I won't come back to eat. Only as a resting place to have a drink on a bike ride.

Beer garden big and beautiful. Food was good, plentiful but expensive. The best salad buffet BUT BEWARE RIP-OFF are the parking fees. €8 was charged for 3 hours and 10 minutes. Full hours are always charged. It would be nice if part of the costs were taken into account in the restaurant bill.

Heute war ich mit meiner Freundin hier, sie hat eine Hauptspeise bestellt, ich wollte nur einen Beilagensalat. Den bekommt man aber nur in Verbindung mit einer Hauptspeise. Also hat meine Freundin ihre Hauptspeise mit Beilagensalat bestellt, den sie mir dann abgegeben hat. Am Ende musste ich, weil ich den Beilagensalat gegessen habe einen normalen Salatteller bezahlen. Der Chef war nicht mehr zu sehen und die Bedienung hatte wohl Angst, dass sie ihren dringend benötigten Job verliert. Ich habe dann auch bezahlt, hätte aber die Polizei hinzuziehen sollen. Leider habe ich das nicht getan. Ich finde das echt eine Frechheit, wenn ich ein paar Weisswürste bestelle und die Brezel meiner Freundin gebe, kann es nicht sein, dass sie auch Weisswürste bezahlen muss obwohl sie keine bestellt hat.

The atmosphere is a disaster. The facility is definitely behind it. Aluminum door from the 70s washed concrete slabs unkempt. Food was cheap convenience goods. Canned and bagged salads. Cheap. But not the prices! They actually give us an expectation of quality. The best thing is the website. It succeeded. Then I chose the store. Never been there before, will never come again. Every simple kebab snack bar exudes more flair!

Parking situation: There is a paid parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant. Despite visiting the local restaurant, this costs 2 euros per hour. We (13 people) found it really not right that there wasn't even a discount if you went out to eat there! Toilets: Unfortunately totally dirty, tiles splattered, doors splattered, so many dust mice and cobwebs that you could see right away, they definitely haven't cleaned thoroughly here for weeks! Food: Expensive, expensive, expensive, quality was like that, fries weren't actually edible, you had to be lucky with the meat, from very dark, half burnt breading, to ok cooking, everything was on our table. The salad buffet was good. The sundaes are huge, but you have to like very sweet ice cream. This is of course a matter of taste. Cakes were good. Glasses partly not clean, cutlery stained. Service quick and friendly. Changing table available, large beer garden. We would not recommend the restaurant.

Delicious food and lots of choice. Great Swabian dishes on the menu. Everything went quickly and the prices are normal. Nice by the lake, but the inside could do with some renovation, but everything is ok. Definitely worth a visit.

Great restaurant, nice outdoor terrace, good food service, but outrageous prices for parking, there are cars in the middle right behind you, a huge mess, parked from three sides, everyone who was standing sideways can't get out without help, the parking machine didn't work either Cashless only with card, thanks for nothing, we'll go somewhere else to eat next time, absolute no go!!! 10 minutes out of the parking space, 8 and sometimes 10 EUR for each family member! Prices are also quite high... with parking it's a real rip-off... it's a shame, it used to be very often with the whole family from confirmation to mourning...

Great selection of several vegan dishes - quite rare for a Swabian restaurant. The food was ready very quickly and tasted fresh and delicious. The waitress was really friendly and attentive and asked us if we needed more ketchup and mayo when we were empty. The salad buffet was very tasty and I had never seen it so extensive at any restaurant before. There was a wide selection of salads, toppings and sauces.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is no longer right. Prices high - quality down - the stars are for the location. No further visit is planned.

I gave a good review 4 years ago. I have to revise this after today's visit. The prices are significantly excessive even for Stuttgart. So we decided not to order anything and go back and I have to say that's why I almost never do that. But the location is still very nice with a view of the lake.

We had our class reunion there and it was a really nice day, the food tasted very good and is recommended. We have already booked the next one there.

But we forgot the coffee spoon and cup and then I went to them and asked with great request if we could go twice I was once again convinced that humanity had come to an end. In any case. Aales was very good for us. Top fast service. Very good fresh salad buffet where you could get as often and as much as you want. Prices ok too. It was asparagus season for us and it was really, really good.

The food is super tasty but the prices are outrageously expensive. Within half a year they have increased twice on average by €2 And they're too stupid to operate. You sit around with a report for almost 20-30 minutes before they check it properly

Unfortunately, the ambience inside didn't quite suit me; I felt cramped at the tables and the style wasn't quite to my taste either. But it's very nice outside.

We ate well, the meat from the roast was a bit tough, but 4 stars, homemade Swabian spaetzle. Asparagus was good. Service was very friendly and attentive. Beautiful surroundings, it's a shame that you couldn't sit outside, the garden has a nice atmosphere but the inside was also clean and nicely furnished.

The Haus am See is a lovely large restaurant and café. The terrace is very large. This is a great place to sit when the weather is nice. If the weather is bad you go in. The food is very good. There are always special events. I can recommend the restaurant.

We are horrified. The boss tells the employees in front of the guests some stuff that the employee himself would have clarified with the guests. The head waitress does everything but doesn't lend a hand. When asked for help she is also stubborn. The food is terrible. This can't really be serious. Everything would be fine but charging this price is simply cheeky and immoral. We still tipped because the only person who does his job very well is the waiter, who is obviously new there. We hope he gets the money too.

Eine traumhafte Lage am See, aber was war es eigentlich schon, was sich positives berichten lässt. Die Preise sind sehr hoch und gemessen an der Qualität des Essens eigentlich unverschämt. Der Rostbraten mit Champignongsauce und Spätzle für 32EUR war leider so zäh, dass man ihn fast nicht essen konnte. Der Salat vom Salat"Bufet" bestand als Auswahl lediglich von etwas grünem Salat und Ackersalat, die restlichen Karotten-, Gurken- und Rettichsalat schmeckten irgendwie nach Fertigsalat. Ein grosser Salatteller entpuppte sich aus lieblos zusammengeworfenem Salat vom Bufet, garniert mit ein dicken Gurkenscheiben und einem gekochten Ei. Alles in allem kann man in dem Restaurant ein Bier mit Blick auf den See geniessen, nur Essen sollte man keines bestellen.

As mentioned in other reports, the prices are simply outrageous, and unfortunately the quality of the food is consistently disappointing. The mushroom roast for 32EUR is the worst and toughest meat I have eaten in a long time, the spaetzle are soft, cheap ready-made products, the salad buffet is a disgrace, just disgusting.

Highly recommended in every respect. Starting with the location, ideally located on Lake Max-Eyth, offers comfortable seating outside and inside. Very friendly, attentive staff, everything is sparkling clean, you can also charge your e-bikes and cell phones for free (great idea), the food is very tasty, generous portions and a really inviting, varied and fresh salad buffet (Swabian potato salad, top). Priced in the midfield, but absolutely appropriate for the services.

We come here every now and then to drink coffee and eat cake. The waitresses are always super nice... (today we had super friendly waiters, Ines). and very attentive. The location is often very well attended. Because with the great cake offer, that's understandable. However, as someone else said in another review, the hot food is sometimes very expensive. But we always really enjoy coming here. Ines stay as you are. Great service

Crowded in nice weather, but good and nice

Beautiful location directly on Lake Max-Eyth, with a large terrace and a large selection of food. There is also an additional room inside for events. There are parking spaces directly at the house. Public transport = light rail lines U12 and U14, either “Max-Eyth-See” or “Hofen” stop. Not far from both stops on foot.

Ordered 1 coffee with sweetener, a cappuccino and cake. We got a coffee with sugar and a cappuccino, cake arrived 30 minutes later than we had already requested the bill. By then we had already lost our desire for it. The service was not available to ask questions at times. A pity.

The house is beautifully located with its outdoor terrace. However, the service is extremely slow, understaffed and only partially friendly. And the prices can unfortunately be described as “cheeky”. The food is good average, but very overpriced in comparison. In January 2024 I paid a whopping 17.80 euros for three Maultaschen with a small dollop of melted onions and a side salad. This meant saving on onions. In my opinion, the money is not well invested here!

We celebrated my 55th birthday in the house by the lake. The food is super delicious. Large selection.

Wir machen dort seit über zehn Jahren jährlich Familien Feiern, weil die Location super schön ist. Leider wird das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter. Dieses Jahr wurden mehrheitlich fertige Industrie Produkte serviert. Das ist bei Essens Preise von über 20€ ein No Go. Ich denke, wir werden im nächsten Jahr einen anderen Ort besuchen.

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis perfekt, kleinere Portionen möglich mit reduziertem Preis, Essen sehr gut, Personal kompetent und freundlich, keine langen Wartezeiten, für die warme Jahreszeit große Terrasse mit Sonnenschutz ----- außerdem ist der Max-Eyth-See zu jeder Jahreszeit einen Ausflug wert

Sehr leckeres Essen. Mittagstisch ist sehr abwechslungsreich. Sehr gut ist auch das Salat Buffett. Ich gehe sehr gerne dort hin. Leider ist es inzwischen sehr teuer geworden.

Anlässlich unserer Vereinsweihnachtsfeier wieder mal im Haus am See zu Gast. Immer wieder erstaunlich, wie das freundliche Serviceteam die 60 Gäste reibungslos bediente. Schnelle Getränkelieferung, Speisen zusammen und warm an den Tisch. Saure Nierle super, Flammkuchen knusprig. Preise okay. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums wurde am 02.11.2023 ein ALL you can eat-Buffet mit verschiedenen Speisen zum sehr fairen Preis von 10 € angeboten. Die Käsespätzle waren mein Favorit, in Verbindung mit dem gemischten Braten (Rind/Schwein), den Butterspätzle, den beiden Sossen (Pilzrahmsosse/Bratensaft), den Kroketten, kleinen panierten Putenschnitzeln, und dem wirklich tollen Salatbuffet mit einem hervorragenden Kartoffelsalat war ich wunschlos glücklich. Hoffentlich gibt es im neuen Jahr wieder so ein Buffet, man kann alles probieren und muss sich nicht auf ein Essen festlegen. Der Ansturm war groß und ich fühlte mich sehr gut individuell bewirtet. Das Ambiente ist das beste hier, wegen der Lage am See. Das Essen ist nichts besonderes, die Salate am Buffet nicht mehr alle frisch. Einige Vegetarische gerichte waren nicht mehr da. In anbetracht der Qualität des Essens ist der Preis zu hoch.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt am See, sehr ruhig und hat eine schöne große Terasse. Die Auswahl von (deutschem) Essen ist sehr groß,nvon Fleisch zu Fisch zu veganem Essen, da ist für jeden was dabei. Besonders gefällt mir das Salatbuffet zu bestimmten Gerichten zum Nachholen. Auch zum Kaffee und Kuchen oder zu Eis ist das Restaurant super. Servicepersonal ist sehr nett, wir haben immer sehr schnell unser Essen bekommen. Das Restaurant kann ich wärmstens empfehlen.

Waren mit 2 Familien an einem Freitag Abend dort essen. Bedienung machte einen lustlosen Eindruck. Getränke und essen wurde recht flott gebracht. Preislich eher etwas höher einzuordnen, allerdings passt die Qualität da nicht dazu. Schnitzel war das obere absolut in Ordnung, dass Stück darunter trocken und hart. War bei uns beim veganen als auch beim normalen Schnitzel der Fall. Service Kraft drauf angesprochen kam eine absolut unpassend Antwort zurück. Wir wurden in Folge ignoriert und saßen bis zum zahlen mit leeren Gläsern da. Leider 1 mal und nie wieder.

Die Aussenterasse ist sehr gemütlich, der Service sehr freundlich, das Essen ist gut, und das Salatbuffet zum Hauptgang kann ich nur empfehlen, ein Zusatzstern ⭐️ dafür, dass man vom Salatbuffet Nachreichen kann.

Es war alles sehr gut. Ein tolles und gutes Salat Büfett. Dieses Lokal kann wirklich empfohlen werden.

Toll: es gibt vegane und vegetarische Gerichte. ABER: Linsen und Spätzle gib es zwei mal auf der Karte. Einmal mit Saiten und einmal vegetarisch ohne (und wohl ohne Speck?). Ich dachte, ich bekomme die vegetarischen, jedoch habe ich die mit Fleisch bekommen. Es wäre sinnvoll, entweder nachzufragen, was man möchte, oder diese Gerichte auf der Karte anders zu benennen! Von seitens der Kellnerin gab es keine Entschuldigung, sondern nur eine Rechtfertigung, dass sie doch den ganzen Tag schon so viel rumfragen müsste.

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und waren 20 Personen. Wir hatten einen Raum reserviert und waren am Vortag bereits dort, um unsere Hochzeitstorte und Deko vorbei zu bringen. Die Tische wurden wie nach Absprache gestellt. Die Tische schön dekoriert. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlich und einwandfrei. Der Preis ist wie bei anderen Gaststätten und liegt damit im Durchschnitt. Am Salatbuffet hat man eine gute Auswahl, über grünen Blattsalat, Kartoffelsalat bis Rote Beete. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich. Uns wurde auch der Busparkplatz angeboten, da wir doch mit einigen Autos angereist sind und die Parkplätze vor Ort am See eingeschränkt sind. Zwischendurch konnten unsere Gäste etwas am See entlang spazieren. Die Terrasse lädt im Sommer zu Café und Kuchen bei einem Spaziergang ein. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und können es nur weiterempfehlen

Gute Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen

Wir haben eine halbe Stunde vor Ankunft angerufen und super spontan noch einen Tisch für 4 Personen bekommen. Zugang mit Rollstuhl und Kinderwagen war im Außenbereich problemlos möglich. Um den Tisch war auch genug Platz um diesen abzustellen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und preislich total in Ordnung. Den Salat kann man sich so viel und so oft man möchte vom Buffet holen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und die Bedienungen waren super freundlich. Einen Parkplatz gibt es auch. Diesen haben wir allerdings nicht gebraucht, da wir zu Fuß dort waren. Es eignet sich optimal für ein Mittagessen oder eine Pause zwischen der Wanderung um den See.

Nicht das erste mal dort gewesen. Gutes Essen, große Auswahl, Preise OK - Qualität aber sehr gut, schnelle Bestellabfrage und auch das servieren war zügig, Freundliche Bedienung, ungeplante Umbuchung problemlos möglich, Kostenlose Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden, Salatbuffet immer gut gefüllt und reich an Auswahl, kommen gerne wieder .

Heute waren wir mit der Familie zum Essen dort. 12 Pers. Leider war ab 13.00 Uhr heute ein Drehorgelkonzert, es war nur furchtbar laut, mann konnte sich nicht unterhalten. Und auf Dauer nur nervig. Mit Ruhe und gemütlich essen war heute nix!!!!!!! Auch finde ich die Speisen etwas überteuert, Zwiebelrostbraten u.Spätzle 29€, Bratkartoffeln verbrannt und leider eher nur in Öl gebadet. Auch die Pommes etwas weich und kalt. Die Käsespätzle waren auch nicht wirklich gut. Den Zwiebeln und dem Speck fehlte das röstaroma. Das ganze war leider sehr breig. Jetzt was positives!!! Das Personal also unser Kellner war sehr aufmerksam, und freundlich. Auch sehr Kinderfreundlich ist man hier. Lg. K. Graser

eine schön gelegene Gaststätte am Max Eith-See. Vielfältiges Angebot national, wie international. Nach einem entspannten Spaziergang um den See, oder nach Nutzung der vielen Freizeitangebote ist die Lokalität ein guter Anlaufpunkt.

Am Sonntag für 22 Personen reserviert. Rest des Lokals auch ziemlich voll. Der für uns zuständige Kellner hatte alles voll im Griff. Sehr professionell und freundlich. Das Essen kam für alle fast zeitgleich. Mein Rostbraten medium war trotzdem auf den Punkt gegart. Habe extra nochmal in die Runde gefragt und alle waren mit dem Service und der Qualität des Essens hochzufrieden. Meine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Viele Jahre mit meiner Familie ein beliebter Treffpunkt zum Mittagessen. Das Essen grosszügig, auch die Speisekarte mit guter Auswahl, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam , die Terrasse sehr gross, direkt am See. Natürlich auch Hunde sind erlaubt. Übrigens auch ein sehr grosser Parkplatz vorhanden, aber auch mit der Strassenbahn leicht zu erreichen, für diejenigen welche nicht mehr Auto fahren oder auch in Stuttgart selbst wohnhaft sind.

Beim Spaziergang um den See bin ich um die Mittagszeit hier eingekehrt und habe das Tagesessen bestellt. Nach kurzer Wartezeit kam der sehr gute Fisch und es gab noch dazu ein Salatbüffet.

We were just sitting down around 19:15 when the waiter advised us that we better place our orders quickly because the kitchen will close soon. Around 21:00 he came to present the check - the restaurant was about to close. The interior is from the 1970ies, the food ok, but overpriced. The menu suggests a local Swabian touch, but the food is mainstream, the staff international and not very friendly. (We have been here in summer, and the Biergarten atmosphere with the view onto the lake is nice. The place loses a lot when you have to sit indoors.)
