The ASH Dortmund in Dortmund

Begonnen hat unsere Abend, dass wir Getränke (Flasche) bekamen, aber keine Gläser dazu. Wir mussten lange warten und mehrere Mitarbeiter darum bitten. Die Qualität unseres gesamten Essens war nicht gut. Mein Essen war leider kalt. Am meisten hat mich geärgert, dass nicht mal eine Entschuldigung oder Reaktion auf meine Beschwerde kam. Fazit gesamt: Teures Esssen, schlechte Qualität!

Nach freundlicher Begrüßung und Begleitung zum Tisch, kam nach kurzer Zeit die Servicekraft. Wir waren 3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (4 und7). Bei der Aufnahme der Bestellung wurde nicht gefragt, ob große oder kleine Getränke. Für die Kinder wurden automatisch 0,5 L Gläser gebracht. Das bestellte Essen war ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Die Unverschämtheit war allerdings die Kinderportion Nudeln mit Soße in einem Beilagenschüsselchen für 12,75€ !!! Dazu für einenPortion Mayonnaise 1,75 € und eine Kugel Kräuterbutter 3€. Aufgesprudeltes Leitungswasser für 6,75€ für 0,75 L. Ja, die Preise in der Gastronomie sind überall gestiegen, aber das ist für mich Abzocke - werde das Restaurant sicher nicht mehr besuchen.

Fast alles vorhanden was man sich wünscht die Käse Auswahl könnte größer sein und Salami oder Kochschinken wären auch schön gewesen

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und mit unserem Hund an einen passende Tisch geführt. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend hier. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war noch dazu sehr gut.

I live the beautiful atmosphere there. There is a lot of wood and beautiful light there. The waitresses are always very attentive and friendly. I went there with my son to eat a good burger. Afterwards we were full of cardboard and couldn't manage the fries. In summer, the outdoor area invites you to linger. Overall everything was great. Since the price is rather high, we only go there every now and then. What should be mega is the buffet on the weekend. I'll try that out too.

Despite having a table reservation (Saturday evening), we had to wait for a table. 20 other guests shared the same fate with us. Why do you make a reservation if you don't get a free table when you arrive? Wait a few minutes, okay. Queuing behind 20 other guests despite having a reservation is not okay. Even the service's sloppy answers in response to our complaint don't make it any better.

Es ist immer wieder eine Freude, dort essen zu gehen. Der letzte Besuch ist schon über 1 Jahr her, aber es war super lecker, der Service ist top. Es war heute super voll, dennoch haben wir das Essen in einer angemessenen Zeit erhalten. Die Musik ist schon etwas lauter, das sollte man wissen, wenn man noch nie da war, aber man kann sich unterhalten. Und das Highlight ist einfach die offene Küche oder auch Showküche. Mir gefällt es zuzusehen, wie das Essen zubereitet wird. Immer wieder gerne. Bald auch endlich mal wieder zum Brunch

Absolute disaster! TABLE reserved but we had to wait almost 2 hours… team incompetent and cheeky! Never again!!!

Were you a frequent guest in 2024, unfortunately the prices have climbed over the course of the year, but the quality has not. What definitely needs to be improved is the quality of the burger meat! When we visited yesterday we had a vegan dish that tasted very good. Three different steaks, the doneness of two was swapped, but still very good. And two burgers, in both of which the meat was more than cooked through, making it dry and tough. The side dishes were without exception excellent, with the asparagus being to die for as always. In my opinion, the dessert has deteriorated significantly. We had the cheesecake and the lava cake, the ice cream was the best in both, at that price something like that shouldn't be possible. Service was courteous and friendly, as it should be. I'm not a fan of sending food back because you have to eat separately from others, but I regret it because the burger was heavy on my stomach until lunchtime the next day. Old review was valid until the end of 2023. We often had food on site, Service, quality of food and ambience are good in keeping with the price. In Corona times, however, the delivery service also knows how to impress. Approximately 8km journey, food was delivered visually, tastefully and most importantly at a very high temperature. Some other delivery services in the area are significantly worse, despite similar pricing for burgers. Clear recommendation from us🤤

Das Essen war nicht gut, das Steak war nicht heiß genug und die Ofenkartoffel zu klein! Qualität und Preis passen nicht zusammen! Beim Burger war die Unterseite zu weich ! Getränkepreise völlig überzogen und der Tisch für ein Date unmöglich! Wir werden das Restaurant nich mehr besuchen - Ihr Konzept passt nicht! Ich gebe das auch in meinem Bekanntenkreis weiter! Kann ich keinem Menschen empfehlen! Ich war entsetzt!!!!!

Ambiente hervorragend, wenn man direkt vorne an den hohen Tischen sitzt. Ansonsten sehr laut. Bedienung gewöhnungsbedürftig, da nicht gerade sehr freundlich. Preise doch schon im oberen Segment. Karte sehr anstrengend zu lesen, da nicht immer klar ist, was man bekommen würde.

So I'll be honest, of course steak and burgers are just worth it, but the steak was a disappointment, we treated ourselves to the sirloin steak for 30 euros, but it just tasted charred, it was just too charred in many corners, the aftertaste lasted the whole evening, the 5 pieces of asparagus on the plate really didn't taste like anything, only the burger and the curly fries were good. The toilets were clean, the anteroom was really nicely designed, but otherwise I have to say, it was just way too loud in the restaurant, my ears were constantly ringing, super unpleasant. But the staff was super nice. Overall I have to say, staff 4, burger 4, ambience 2-3, steak 0, for the price just a no go sorry. My 8 euro steak from Lidl is by far better prepared by me and tastes better than this one from Ash. We can't really recommend the Ash, the price/performance ratio is simply not right.

Great food, great service, great ambience

Nice location. Friendly reception. Everything is done very professionally there. The food was simply fantastic and very tasty. In this/our case it was a bowl with salmon and beef fillet. Although at first it conveys the charm of a large machine hall, the next moment it turns out to be a modern and stylish location. The toilet facilities (although accessed via stairs) were spacious and clean. There is also a suitable facility in the lower area for people with walking difficulties. One more thing. The benches at the tables look valuable and stable at first glance, but they are not. That’s where you “sit through”! We will prefer chairs next time. It was a really nice evening. Thanks

It was our first time at the ASH in Dortmund and we were very excited. The ambience looks super cool and the food and the accompanying service were very, very great, Absolutely recommended 👍

Das Essen war richtig richtig lecker. Die Kellner*innen waren sehr offen, hilfsbereit und super lieb. Und das Ambiente war richtig toll. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gutes Essen, lebhafte Geräuschkulisse, toller Service, schönes Ambiente. Abzug in der B-Note: Toiletten liegen im 1. OGund sind nur über eine Treppe zugänglich. Also nichts für Menschen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen.

Es war leider sehr kalt, sodass wir die Jacken ungern ausziehen wollten. Das Essen war aber definitiv ein Erlebnis, sehr sehr lecker ❤️

The food was very good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our order was ready at the counter for 5 minutes, but the waitress consistently ignored it. Finally we got the food ourselves. The waitress then reacted grumpily when there was no tip. In addition, a guest burned a waffle in the waffle iron, but no one turned the device off or cleaned it. The whole place was filled with smoke and smelled burnt.

Sehr gutes Ambiente. Quantität ind Qualität des Angebotes vielversprechend. Preislich in Ordnung.

Tolles Restaurant, guter moderner Eindruck. Trotz der Größe und der sehr guten (Belegung). Hat das freundliche Personal alles im Griff gehabt. Wir brauchten nicht lange auf das Essen zu warten und es kam alles gleichzeitig. In Summe war alles gut organisiert.

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere

Wir waren schon einige Male im Ash zum Essen und es war wie immer etwas besonderes. Der Service ist super und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis völlig in Ordnung. Den einen Stern habe ich abgezogen, da mein Hüftsteak zum Teil fast noch komplett roh war, statt medium gebraten und wir hatten diesmal einen Platz in einer Ecke, die zwar sehr gemütlich war, allerdings hing direkt über uns ein Lautsprecher und die Musik war relativ laut, so dass eine Unterhaltung teilweise etwas schwierig war. Ansonsten waren wir aber sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

The service is very good. The ambience is fantastic. The steak was lukewarm at 350g, in the end the meat was cold and the rosemary potatoes were far too crispy for my taste. Overall GOOD 👍 Price-performance ratio GOOD 👍

Good food and quick service. In my opinion, the drinks prices are sometimes a bit high. The restaurant is nice and the seats are comfortable. However, it gets a bit noisy in the evenings.

Due to an invitation, four of us stayed in the newly opened and renovated Ash. I've been there 3 times, inside and outside. Since the conditions back then had gotten worse from time to time, I probably wouldn't have gone there anymore. But as I said, it was an invitation. I liked the atmosphere. I like this “factory look” and then the view of the illuminated outdoor/garden area, that’s something. And that's totally okay! You have to walk a few meters to the toilets if you sit in the back area. But these were clean and made a decent impression! We had to think about parking spaces. Those at Ash were full, those at Osteria were still free. But we only saw the signs “Privatparkplatz Osteria”. Unauthorized parked vehicles will be towed away... blah blah. We didn't see/know that these parking spaces could also be used by Ash. About the food: I'm not a fan of burgers in a restaurant. So I wanted to opt for a steak, but then followed my friend's recommendation and ordered - also - "The Ash", which was the "top burger" in terms of price. I took it without any side dishes because it seemed powerful enough to me. The women ordered 2 different burgers with various side dishes. The food then came complete. almost at the same time which we thought was good. Unfortunately then came the first restriction. All burgers were only "lukewarm". And if you have 3 pettis on your plate, you can assume that they will be almost cold before you finish. Even the cheese had already solidified! But what happened was that the burgers were more than well cooked, not to say dry! We didn't complain, this was mainly due to time pressure on our part. (Movie tickets) We suspect that the burgers were pre-fried for too long and other food might have been sent out beforehand and our food was simply kept warm, which ruined the burgers. That wasn't all that refreshing, especially for the price that "The Ash" costs. Regarding the related sauces etc. I lacked the seasoning. And we only received salt and pepper after asking twice. About the service: Were greeted nicely and taken to the reserved seat. Our waiter was OK, but you could tell he wasn't a service professional. Communication wasn't his thing. It's a shame, because it also increases your tips. We had been sitting for a while when he brought the menus and left immediately instead of perhaps asking if we wanted a drink. When he appeared at the table again, we ordered the drinks and food. Regarding the food, the question came up: “No starters”? When we said no, he left without comment. Drinks were brought quickly and food came quickly too. But ask if everything is OK. were left out. It couldn't actually have been due to stress. My conclusion is: I will definitely visit Ash again, but then in the summer and hope that they have a well-rehearsed team in place by then and that the quality of the food and service depends on who is on duty at the time.

Brunch war sehr gut, sehr lecker. Weniger Auswahl ist meist mehr. Es wurde immer nachgelegt. Preis Leistung war super. Servicekräfte waren sehr nett. Für uns war es perfekt. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Viel zu laut. Es wäre gut, wenn es auch Bereiche geben würde, wo man am Tisch miteinander sprechen kann, ohne sich anzuschreien. Das Essen war ok, aber nichts besonders.

Visually very appealing. The service was good but not really cordial...it also took a long time until we were served for the first time. The food was rather disappointing and really too expensive! Ketchup €1.75!! BBQ sauce €3 Water from the tap €6.75!!! For a large bottle Unfortunately we won't be coming back

Leider haben die Pommes nach altem Fett geschmeckt und im Nachhinein war uns total übel leider war das Essen nicht so gut. Personal war freundlich.

Wir waren schon häufiger im Ash Dortmund zu Gast, allerdings war der gestrige Besuch (03.10.) enttäuschend. Der Laden war voll, am Feiertag nicht anders zu erwarten, allerdings war der Geräuschpegel teilweise unerträglich. Küche, Gäste etc, allerdings dann noch die laute Club-Musik aus den Lautsprechern über den Tischen absolut fehl am Platz. Wir waren mit 6 Personen da, bei einem Essen möchte man sich unterhalten, zum Musik hören gehe ich in einen Club, nicht in ein Restaurant. Wenn man sich über den Tisch anbrüllen muss, ist der Abend für mich schon gelaufen. Der Service war sehr freundlich, allerdings musste ich den Kellner "ranwinken", um die Bestellung aufzugeben, immerhin saßen wir schon 45 Minuten. Die Getränke kamen nach der Bestellung promt. Bei einer Nachbestellung von einem Bier hatten wir dann am Ende 3 Kellner am Tisch, die ein Bier bringen wollten.... auf der Rechnung war dann 1 Wein und 1 Bier zu viel, wurde aber kulant gelöst und gelöscht. Die Fries zum Burger waren eine glatte Unverschämtheit, ich habe es nicht reklamiert, weil ich dazu echt keine Lust hatte. Es waren teilweise haudünne Scheiben bzw. Reststücke, die fritiert waren - Steakhouse Fries sehen für mich anders aus. Die Qualität ist extrem gesunken, will man hier an Kartoffeln sparen? Alles in allem werden wir überlegen, ob wir den Laden nochmal besuchen. Eigentlich war es immer toll, gerade die Einrichtung gefällt mir gut.... schade um den Abend mit der Familie!

Das Essen war lecker. Der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig, etwas unaufmerksam. Die kaputte Beleuchtung konnte man nicht tauschen während wir dort saßen ( Glühbirne wechseln), auf Nachfrage sagte man nur, dass die Lampe defekt sei. Gut, sitzen wir an einem dunklen Tisch…. Es wurde kein anderer Tisch angeboten oder Ähnliches. Leider war es auch nicht wirklich gemütlich, da es sehr kalt war!

Food was very good! We had a rum steak and a burger. Service was always friendly and helpful. Ambiance was very nice, light was very relaxed for eating.

Since only delivery or collection is possible at the moment, we decided on collection the second time too. Ordering via the website is clear and quick. Since I was there too early, I had to wait a bit until the order was brought to my car. The staff was friendly. When we unpacked at home everything was still sufficiently warm. Unfortunately there wasn't enough sauce on the ribs the first time. After I mentioned it with the new order, it was changed to my complete satisfaction. The burgers were delicious and filling. The fries (1x curly fries, 1 x sweet potato fries) were also warm and crispy. Prices were completely ok thanks to the voucher code of 20%. We will definitely order more often For the fifth ⭐ you would unfortunately have to wait until it is open again and we can eat on site in order to rate the ambience and service. Today we went to eat there for the first time. You can also sit outside. The atmosphere is inviting and modern. We had a table for four, so there was plenty of space. The waiter was courteous and friendly. The food, as always, was very tasty. Today there is also the 5th ⭐ Of course, mistakes sometimes happen, but if you forget the extra egg for two burgers on a Thursday when only about 10 tables are occupied, that's not so nice. 09/28/24 Ate here again today and, as always, completely satisfied. Wir waren vor der Renovierung dort zum Brunch am Sonntag und sehr begeistert. Jetzt nach der Renovierung mussten wir feststellen, dass die Qualität und Auswahl der Speisen nicht mehr die Selbe ist. Von den warmen Speisen war nicht eine mehr als lauwarm. Die Brötchen pappig und der Bacon zäh. Der angebotene Filterkaffee war zwar heiß, aber dermaßen bitter, das er nicht zu genießen war. In Summe 64€ für 2x Brunch und ein Kaltgetränk ist schlicht und ergreifend kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Very tasty steaks, great ambience and friendly staff. There is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. We will be happy to come back.

Expensive! For a bottle of “processed”, i.e. tap water, we had to pay €6.75, which was a disgrace. Aperol Spritz €9.50, beer 0.4 l even €5.50. Food average, the sweet potato fries soggy. That was our first and last visit there.

There is nothing to complain about. The food is first class. The staff is very friendly and customer-oriented. The restaurant is a highlight, especially the huge shelf that immediately catches the eye

Wir waren sehr neugierig wie bei The Ash nach den Wiedereröffnung alles dort aussieht . Es Hat sich nichts geändert außer das Essen . Das Steak war ok aber die Rosmarin Kartoffeln waren von Vortag , hart und kalt , Pommes was ok aber Bürger nicht wie immer , das Brötchen war sehr matschig . Facit : 4 Personen 150 Euro und das Essen war nicht mal gut . Wir sind Stammkunden von The Ash aber waren sehr enttäuscht. Service war Top wie immer !

Trotz Reservierung wurden wir ins letzte Eck unter die Treppe gesetzt. Das essen war gut und die Kellner waren freundlich. Wollte ein großes Bier bestellen, bekam aber nur ein kleines da die großen Gläser noch nicht da waren. Nur komisch dass man auf anderen Tischen unterschiedliche große Gläser gesehen hat. Hoffe beim nächsten Besuch gibt es nichts zu beklagen.

We enjoyed going to ASH Dortmund, mostly for brunch, and reserved a table for Saturday evening for the opening after the renovation. Receive confirmation and reminder by email. Then one day in advance the cancellation by telephone because the construction work would not be completed. How can you plan and accept reservations so tightly? The lady on the phone was very nice and felt sorry for me having to make these calls. Then now, the day before, you have to try to find an alternative and get a table. Incomprehensible to me.

Weshalb nur 1 Stern ? Wir hatten für den 24.08.2024 einen Tisch für 19.00 Uhr reserviert. Kurz darauf erhielten wir die Bestätigung und dazu eine Info, dass die Reservierung max 15 Minuten aufrechterhalten wird. Absolut verständlich, wenn ein Restaurant gut besucht wird. ALLERDINGS: Pünktlich erschienen, zeigte sich, dass das Lokal in Dortmund geschlossen ist, wegen Umbauarbeiten! Wieso ist dann eine Tischreservierung online möglich? Der Abend war für uns gelaufen……. Alternative Lokale ohne vorherige Reservierung, Fehlanzeige! Für uns kommt The Ash künftig nicht mehr in die Auswahl. Besten Dank !

Wir fahren zu viert im ASH. Alles top! Aufmerksamer Service, sehr gutes Essen (3x Burger und einmal Sandwich! Tolles Ambiente.

Nette Bedienung, toller Platz, leckeres Essen, besonders die Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen kamen etwas zu schnell

Zuerst der Empfang war sehr freundlich und man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt. Die Auswahl der Speisen und Getränke ist reichhaltig und für jeden Geschmack sollte etwas dabei sein. Die Tische sind sehr stilvoll und man sitzt bequem. Der Service ist wirklich Top und zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich! Die Speisen waren allesamt sehr lecker und toll angerichtet. Last but not least sind auch die Toiletten supersauber! Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch bei Euch!

We had dinner and had a bad experience. Firstly, drinks were delivered incorrectly, with TWO DRINKS ONE WRONG (!), steak ordered medium rare, got shoe soles, bowl with goat cheese - got no goat cheese. When asked, the answer was succinct: "it's over"! The salmon tasted horrible and was completely dry and dry. The bowl itself is desolate and shortened. A look into the open kitchen also shows that it is pure flow work. The entire ambience is reminiscent of a train station hall or breakfast in space on vacation. Very loud. I won't come back.

Die Vorspeisen sind gut, aber auch nichts besonderes. Die Burger waren eine Katastrophe. Der Crispy Chicken trocken und dürftig belegt, der Pulled Beef Burger geschmacksfrei. Zudem war er mit Stücken hellen Fleisches (eher kein Rind) in der Größe von Gulasch-Stückchen belegt. Die Curly Fries und das Grillgemüse als Beilage waren gut.

We went here for dinner with the family. The food was great, the service was very attentive. The atmosphere is a hip industrial style, very pleasant. The food could have come a little quicker, the benches were very sagging. But overall a great shop. Gladly again.

There were two of us for dinner. Welcome and placement good so far. Drinks ok, although Dortmund would have liked to have had a local beer on offer. Bread, patatas bravas and pimientos as starters were okay, but nothing special in terms of taste. Both the crispy chicken burger and the pulled beef burger were a big disappointment. An absolutely stylish restaurant with a large, beautiful outdoor terrace. The steaks and burgers are very good and perfectly prepared. The service is also top 👍

Unfortunately, my fillet steak was initially not medium rare but rather too well done (that can always happen). When asked about this, a new plate was immediately brought with a fantastic steak that was prepared to perfection. As an apology we were able to choose a dessert. This is how good customer service works. We would be happy to come back at any time.

When we asked by phone, we found out that there was a children's menu. When we came to the reserved table with two children, it was only given to us after an explicit request, which I found the service to be a bit weak. As many have mentioned, the parties on the burger are very solid, bland and don't have to be ordered done. Is this also the case with other meat? The food was just ok, but nothing for the price range in which it is sold. The service was there, but not anymore. Cutlery for the adults was brought without asking. However, cutlery for the children had to be specifically requested. The building looks great, the rest can't keep up
