Recommended. Meat was very good. We had burgers that we enjoyed. Large portion and the mayonnaise is remembered positively. Thanks to Jonas for the nice service.

The food is quite good, but the cocktails are mediocre. It's very cool that interesting events are organized every now and then.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my visit. The ambience is average at best, so I only give it two stars. The long waiting time was particularly annoying - we had to wait a whole hour for our food. When it finally came, my order was also wrong. Added to this are the completely overpriced prices, which in no way correspond to the quality of the food. The food itself was disappointing in terms of taste and did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the (service) quality at The Ash is very variable and depends heavily on the respective staff. I would not recommend the restaurant for children. After my first experience a few years ago, where I was served a cold and not particularly tender - but very expensive - steak, I didn't really want to come back. Friends have also reported similar things. During the Corona period, however, we gave The Ash another chance and had burgers delivered to us. These were surprisingly good! About a month and a half ago I was there again in person and was pleasantly surprised by the new atmosphere, even if the music is unfortunately often too loud. The service was great that day. I found it particularly funny that the waitress called me and my mother, who is over 70, on first-name terms - that just suited the employee and we were happy. The burgers came quickly and tasted good. However, I'm sticking with my decision not to eat steaks there anymore, because I still hear disappointing things too often. There are simply better alternatives in Dortmund. A week later I was there with a larger group and two small children. The children enjoyed it, even if the music was quite loud and it wasn't possible to have a good conversation. Yesterday I was there again, but unfortunately the experience was not convincing. Our waitress “Laura” didn’t give us a children’s menu and had to take the order several times because the system supposedly crashed. That wasn't a big problem for us, but when the burgers and side dishes didn't come exactly as ordered, we were a little skeptical. The children's cheeseburger in particular caused confusion: it didn't look like a typical cheeseburger and the meat was covered in a sauce that was reminiscent of a pink cocktail sauce. The boy was expecting a cheeseburger like the week before, was disappointed, and ended up with part of my adult burger, which looked normal. I ate ¾ of the children's burger instead, even though that wasn't planned, and left about ¼ for the kitchen to inspect. It definitely wasn't a cheeseburger. At the end, when I was clearing up, I simply wanted to ask whether the preparation of the children's burger was correct and I also explained that I was only interested in clarification and in no way about not wanting to pay for the burger. “Laura” apologized, but didn't go into the kitchen to ask, as I could see. When I asked her about it again when paying, all I got was the answer: “No, the kitchen said everything was fine.” This confused me a bit because I didn't get a clear explanation. If children's burgers always taste and look different there, you should perhaps communicate this beforehand. From my experience, children in particular are more likely to enjoy consistency. Conclusion: If my family likes it, we are very loyal guests and don't have excessive demands. We go out to eat every Sunday as a tradition. As a rule, the invoice amount is always around 150 euros. But we will probably take some distance from The Ash again for now. For children, the shop opposite (belongs to the same investor) is a better choice. There is also a play kitchen and ground-level toilets for people who are no longer able to walk very well. But much more important: you get what you order and the pizza for children is always the same.

We were in Dortmund at the weekend and the steakhouse was recommended to us, a really great recommendation 👏 I had asked for a nice seat, I only briefly mentioned it was my wife's birthday today! The evening, the place, the food, the service were fantastic and then a great surprise, we got a birthday surprise, absolutely free 👏wow great evening, thank you 😘

I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant and it was just perfect! As soon as you enter you can feel the warm and inviting atmosphere. The stylish ambience, the lovingly set tables and the friendly staff make your stay particularly pleasant. The food was a true masterpiece! Each course was prepared with great care, the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. The flavors harmonized perfectly and you could taste the chef's passion in every bite. I was particularly impressed by the hamburger, which was simply delicious! The service also deserves high praise – attentive, professional and always with a smile. The staff's recommendations were excellent and you felt completely at home. This restaurant is a real insider tip for all foodies! I can highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit. Die Preise stehen in keinem Verhältnis zu der Portionsgrösse. Zwischen dem 200g und 250g Rumpsteak liegen 10€ 🫣 darüber hinaus wird man bei der Ankunft an den Tisch wie selbstverständlich nach Mineralwasser gefragt, welches dann mit 6,75€ auf der Rechnung steht. Tolle Masche! Alles in allem gibt es bessere Restaurants um ein gutes Steak zu essen

We had reserved a table, but there was still a long wait at the front. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. Unfortunately, steak is absolutely not recommended there, there were 3 of us and we all had steak, unfortunately no one was satisfied. Very high fat content, some cold, very small side dish. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. We won't be coming back

Der Service war sehr nett und freundlich. Durch die doch recht große räumliche Gegebenheit war es ztw. doch recht laut und unruhig. Was ich persönlich nicht so mag ist die offene Küche, die könnte man durch eine Glasscheibe vom Gastraum trennen, da die Bekleidung doch immer nach essen riecht. Mein Gericht war sehr lecker würde ich wieder bestellen. Von mir 👍

My husband and I are regulars at The Ash Dortmund and always feel welcome there. The employees are all very attentive and accommodating. The food is really delicious. I can highly recommend the beef medallions. The ambience is really nice and with the open kitchen you always have something to look at. However, sometimes it is a bit annoying if you have very loud neighbors 🙈

As soon as you come in you are greeted in a friendly manner and asked whether you would like to eat spontaneously or have reserved a table. We had reserved a table and were escorted straight to the table. We were offered water straight away. We were then able to order our starter quite quickly and received it quite quickly. While waiting for the starter we were able to order our main meal. I had the Ash Tower. This burger was tasty and more than enough in size. The waiters checked several times to make sure nothing was missing.

Hallo, wir haben Steak gegessen und es war unfassbar lecker. Zum Nachtisch gab es zum einen den Lava Cake, sowie Lemon Pie. Ambiente, Service usw war alles Hervorragend. Preislich ist Steak sicherlich nicht das billigste aber das ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung, denn es war sehr lecker.

Die Reservierung ist reibungslos verlaufen. Wir haben schnell unseren online reservierten Tisch bekommen. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und war lecker und ansprechend präsentiert. Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist sehr interessant. Für unser Geburtstagskind gab es eine kleine Überraschung.

Es war wie immer sehr schön! Essen gut , Service hätte mehr darauf achten können das Getränke bestellt werden können!

Once again, and not for the first time, we spontaneously went to eat at ASH. Basically you can say that the service is really excellent. The ambience and the food are also really good. We love coming here to eat. Everything here tastes excellent. However, this time the prices were really negative for us. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here. In our opinion, the price for the starter plate was way too excessive and not justified. The salmon bowl was also completely overpriced for what you actually got... we were very surprised. The price of the burgers (they taste really good!) is also debatable, especially if you also have to pay extra for the side dishes. The drinks prices also follow this. The location certainly plays a role here and the prices are perhaps only intended to appeal to a specific target group.

Ich hatte einen Burger, der gut geschmeckt hat, aber nicht unter anderen Burgern, anderer Restaurants hervorsticht. Darum für das Essen 4/5. Der Service war absolut in Ordnung, 1-2 mal hat es leider etwas zu lange gedauert bis jemand in Reichweite war. Darum für den Service ebenfalls 4/5.

Burgers were great, but we were very surprised by the King Prawns. In the past and also online (see photos) the king prawns were grilled... now more like microwave... at least completely without roasted aromas.

Wir hatten ein Brunchbuffet mit sehr gutem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Die Speisen waren frisch, schmackhaft und gut präsentiert. Es war wenig los daher war es recht ruhig. Der Service war demotiviert, es wurden die Getränke nur mit Bitten an den Tisch gebrach, die Abrechnung war nicht auch nicht korrekt - das war der Wermutstropfen für unsere Gäste… trotzdem eine Empfehlung

We have been ASH customers for several years. All the greater the disappointment at our New Year's Eve dinner this year. The table reserved four weeks in advance for wheelchair users could not be given to us because it was too busy. Then the “new” one? Two-hour rule. Double use brings double sales. Das ist das 3. Jahr in Folge, dass wir Silvester dieses Restaurant besuchen. Alles war wie gewohnt absolut empfehlenswert. Ich verstehe nur nicht, aus welchem Grund die Musik im Hintergrund absolut nicht einer Silvesterstimmung entsprach. 2023 war es noch anders. Da wurde zumindest auf die passende Musikambiente geachtet. Das sorgt schon für eine super Grundstimmung.

Every dish was prepared with a lot of love and dedication - all dishes were fresh, perfectly flavored and beautifully presented. I would particularly like to highlight the sophisticated flavors and the high quality of the ingredients. It was a real treat! Another big plus was how child-friendly the restaurant was. The children's meals were not only delicious, but also creative and in a size that was perfect for the little guests. Overall, it was an absolutely successful evening that we can only recommend! If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent food, friendly staff and a child-friendly atmosphere, this is definitely the right place. *Conclusion:* An all-round successful experience! Ein Hauptgericht war stellenweise kalt bis lauwarm, Lava-Cake komplett ohne Lava, einfach kleiner brauner Kuchen, ziemlich ernüchternd bei dem Preis. Es wurde öfter vergessen die entsprechende Karte auszuhändigen, sodass Mann mehrmals mind. Zwei Mal nachhaken musste.

Das Essen war gut und der Service sehr freundlich und bemüht. Es hätte nur etwas gemütlicher sein können, weil wir direkt neben der Küche saßen und es laut war.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für vier Personen reserviert und einen Service Mitarbeiter zugewiesen bekommen . Dieser stellte sich vor mit Namen und das er den ganzen Abend für uns zuständig sei und behilflich wäre. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist vielfältig aber trotzdem nicht überladen . Es kann zu jedem Hauptgericht eine Beilage gewählt werden extra Soßen usw. Daher erhöht sich der Preis allerdings merklich. Das Essen war schön angerichtet und schmackhaft die Qualität der Nahrungsmittel merkt man ist eben kein null acht 15 Lokal . Unser Aufenthalt dort war sehr angenehm trotz der Lautstärke konnte man sich gut unterhalten und es hat uns gefallen . Vielen Dank an Ivan der uns der uns den Abend sehr schön unterstützt hat .

I was really excited about The ASH as I had heard good things, but my visit was a huge disappointment. The ambience may be stylish, but unfortunately that was the only positive thing. The wait for our food was far too long - almost an hour, even though the restaurant wasn't completely full. When the food finally came, my steak wasn't what I ordered. I had requested medium-rare, but it was almost well-done and tough. For a steakhouse you should be able to expect that the steaks are prepared correctly. .

Absolut empfehlenswert. Das Essen war überragend und das Restaurant war super schön. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Systemgstronomie! Dementsprechend das Essen lieblos. Serano Schinken z.B. dick geschnitten mit einer Scheibe Brot. Weiteres Brot kostet extra. Rinderfilet trocken und geschmacklos, Pilze verbrannt. Natürlich an so einem Tag sehr voll. Personal aber bemüht. Es war bummsvoll. Sehr Laute Umgebung Auf die Mängel am Essen angesprochen, wurde uns ein Nachtisch auf‘s Haus angeboten. Wir würden es trotzdem nicht unbedingt weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben das Brunchfrühstück sehr genossen. Die Reservierung, samt Erinnerung, online hat unkompliziert geklappt. Auch wenn die Homepage etwas unübersichtlich erscheint. Es war sehr lecker, wurde immer gut nachgelegt alles frisch, dekorativ u in der offenen Küche wurde sauber gearbeitet. Die Auswahl war sehr gut. Wirklich für jeden etwas dabei. Fleisch, Fisch, Süßes, Obst, Gemüse, Salat, usw. Die Brötchen richtig knusprig. Wir haben oben gesessen u den schönen Überblick über das Restaurant genossen, daher war der Geräuschpegel gemäßigt, der Geruch aus der Küche nur wenig auffallend. Der Service war hervorragend. Alle freundlich, gut gelaunt, hilfsbereit. Immer wieder Rückfragen ob alles okay ist oder wir noch Wünsche haben. Es wurden leere Teller aufmerksam abgeräumt oder sofort Kaffee nachgeschüttet. Das Personal ging sogar mit Steaks herum u bot diese an. Wirklich toll! Danke dafür. Die Toiletten waren sauber. Preis/Leistung waren vollkommen in Ordnung u wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt ohne vorgegebenes Zeitlimit dort zu sein. Alles in Allem sehr empfehlenswert u wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten unterschiedliche Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und einen Nachtisch. Es war alles sehr lecker und sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Wir mussten etwas länger auf den „Getränkenachschub“ warten. Unfortunately, our steak was partially browned (it can happen...) and we were promptly offered a replacement, the food was taken off the bill and (!) a credit was issued for the next visit.
