Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere with a fireplace, great views in summer. Unfortunately, service has deteriorated recently and delivery times are very long. Toilets smell a little and coffee/cappuccino doesn't taste good. Menu very confusing. Definitely worth a visit!

The breakfast is rich and the products are of good quality, the service is friendly and everything went quickly. Tried the ribs with fries in the evening, everything was good. I'd love to come back.

100 minutes of waiting and still no food... you weren't told when you ordered. NEVER EVER.

For a breakfast buffet at an American restaurant, it was very European, the fresh preparation of the hot dishes could be more professional for a restaurant. Conclusion... the food was okay, service didn't actually take place [order other drinks, for example] Price-performance much too high.

We were there for family brunch. Food was ok. But nothing more. I expect at least a touch of American from an American restaurant. 25€ for a standard breakfast that you get in a simple hotel is really excessive. Used plates, etc. are not really cleared away. We certainly won't be coming back.

Unfortunately I don't have a very good rating for the Roadstop! We ordered burgers and then paid the bill. Unfortunately it didn't match what we ordered and so we paid over €6 more. Unfortunately it was only noticed on the account because it was paid for by card. So always check the amount on the reader, you'll always be smarter afterwards! Food was okay so far.

Always love to out and eat there! Many great options on the menu for everyone and the atmosphere is great with an amazing view outside! Everything really fits the “American” vibe. The service is always nice and the food is of course great.

Pay attention to the bill!!! Either they do it on purpose or they don't know how to calculate. I ordered the following (see pictures) for a total of €36.55 and €43.30 was deducted from my account. And the man also got a tip. Food and location itself, ok. But that doesn't mean they should screw you over. Annoying 🤬

I would like to describe my recent visit to your restaurant, which was unfortunately very disappointing. We reserved a table for eight people at 7 p.m. After 10 to 20 minutes we placed our food and drink orders with Waiter 1. Fortunately, the drinks came relatively quickly. After an hour of waiting, waiter 1 came to our table again to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything else. When we asked about the food, he only then informed us that there were delays because the kitchen was broken and could only be cooked on individual plates. This information should have been communicated to us much earlier. As the evening progressed, waiter 2 came every now and then to inquire about our well-being and ask for drinks. He apologized several times for the wait and even mentioned that it was also Waiter 1's mistake for not informing us of the problems sooner. Nevertheless, we had to wait a total of 1.5 to 2 hours for our food. At this point, the mood in our group was understandably very dark. Just before we finished eating, one of the waiters came back for a final round of drinks since the restaurant was about to close. At this point I would like to emphasize that waiter 2 in particular was very nice and professional and clearly tried to make the best of the situation. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the management. There was no concession or goodwill from management. Instead, we were told in a rather unfriendly manner that all guests would have to wait and that we should put up with it since we had been informed. However, this was not true as we were only informed about the problems in the kitchen after an hour. Early communication would certainly have led to better understanding and less frustration. It was particularly disappointing that the management didn't come to our table themselves, but only sent waiter 2 forward. Overall, it can be said that the management clearly has some catching up to do here. Such inflexible and unfriendly behavior towards guests leaves an extremely negative impression. Basically, a waiting time of 1.5-2 hours cannot be justified, especially given the price. For two, you should budget at least €60-70 for a drink and a main course. In addition, fewer tables should be accepted if there is no more capacity and the customers ultimately suffer. Therefore, unfortunately I cannot give your restaurant a positive review.

An unusual but successful ambience. The service was good for us and the food was delicious. I had wings, which were unfortunately a bit dry, but I simply ate them much better. 2 of our men had a burger with fries. Our friend's burger cost 18 euros and he wasn't full, despite the fries, which were also paid for additionally. The system is simple, you basically put together your own dish, which is a nice idea. Personally, there was one thing that bothered me at work, and I was glad that we were sitting outside and so I didn't have it in my field of vision all the time: There is a place at the counter where glasses etc. and drinks are apparently given back. It looked like shit there; Fallen beer mats, napkins, etc. collected on the floor around the trash can and the napkins in particular were kicked across the store. I know there's always a lot to do on a Saturday night, but just bending down every now and then and picking up what you didn't put in the trash can can make such a big difference. Just a tip from me for the future.

Quick service even though it was very busy. Good quality, attentive, friendly staff. I have never been disappointed at the Road Stop and can highly recommend the place.

Were there for the first time on July 14th. We both had burgers. Catastrophic! Hardly any sauce on the patty. Hardly any onions. The burger itself was mini. The fries were so-so. Together with a glass of wine and a wheat beer 59 euros. Absolutely not worth it. Had promised us more. There are far better burger restaurants out there

It used to be really cool and now you can't even just order fries on the terrace (only possible inside or in combination).

The service was very slow. I understand that it may take longer on a Saturday evening, but this is tolerable. It's not unusual for me to be at a restaurant with my family at this time on a Saturday. This took a particularly long time here. We're talking about a waiting time of around 30 minutes for a 0.4L Fanta (see picture). The service was rather meh, nice service but sparing with what was served. At the beginning you receive a diverse set of cutlery, with only one serving 🙂 (We are 5.5 people). It would be nice to say that you can get more if you ask. However, when we asked (after extra servings) we got the same set again😐. After the food was served, my Fanta finally arrived. In other words - you have finally been able to pick the right oranges/lemons. Plan plenty of time and even more patience. Overall, the food was tasty (waiting time of 1 hour). Greetings

Delicious but you always have to make a reservation

We ate there, had a goat's cheese burger and fries, it was super delicious, there are places inside and outside, outside with a nice view, the staff was very nice, there is parking right in front of it or a large parking lot on the opposite side, we really enjoy eating burgers gladly again.

Service 1 A! I didn't have a room but the food and the service were very friendly, quick and attentive! I think the waitress was the Flash! Location also great

We stopped there for a meal. Therefore I cannot rate the hotel or the rooms. That food tasted good. The view of the valley was also worth seeing. We were served friendly and fairly quickly. I found the prices to be reasonable for what you get. We were lucky with the parking spaces at the time. I could imagine that it is a bit difficult to find a parking space at peak times, but that shouldn't influence the rating. I can only recommend Road Stop Dortmund. Will come back when I'm in the area again.

We were in the Las Vegas room on July 6, 2024 and it was a complete disaster... a lot of frills that didn't work, it was dirty and not nice... 130 euros to sleep with mites and what not!!!! It's a shame I can't post a picture here....we've been there twice and never again....at most for dinner because that's great!!!

Went to Dortmund spontaneously yesterday and got a good table without a reservation. We each ordered a bowl (€20). The bowl was also very tasty, just not intended as a main course, so the price is too high for what you get

On our way through, my son and I took a break and decided to eat at the Road Stop in Dortmund. Our visit was fantastic. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome straight away. The atmosphere at the Road Stop is really something special. The ambience is not only beautiful, but the view from the terrace is simply idyllic and invites you to linger. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we will definitely come back when we are in the area. All in all, I can highly recommend the Road Stop in Dortmund. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break with excellent food and service that leaves nothing to be desired.

We went to the big family breakfast for my birthday. The selection was good, but there was only minimal service (apart from the egg dishes stand where fresh omelettes and pan cakes were offered). Tables were rarely cleared and something was always missing. Be it rolls, cheese or even glasses. This can and should be better for this price!!

Five people ordered at the same time, but only received three meals at the beginning. The rest came 20 minutes later. The waiters reacted relatively indifferently - one might think that this happens often. The burgers were okay, but not great either. The meat was on the grill a little long and the buns could have been from Trader Joes.

Were there yesterday (during the week) and it was well filled. The food was very tasty and the service was also great. We (a group of 10 people) didn't have to wait long for the drinks or the food. Only the chairs could be more comfortable ;-).

Unfortunately, Road Stop has declined significantly compared to before. Some of the burgers were cold... There needs to be a breath of fresh air because I think the place is really great and I want a kitchen that matches it.

Except for the chairs without seat cushions, everything is great. The conditions are attentive and friendly and the food is also very tasty. I can't say anything about the rooms, I was only there to eat. For gluten-intolerant people it is also interesting that there are gluten-free burger buns here, but you still have to ask about the sauces.

Was there for breakfast today on my birthday. I paid 91 for 3x breakfast plus extra drinks. From 11:45 a.m. there were no more pancakes. There used to be a waffle station and a lot more selection. I'm really disappointed for the price of 24.90 euros and will definitely not go there for breakfast again. It's a real shame, it used to be really good, but definitely expect more for the money.

Very tasty burger, a really large portion of fries and a really good coleslaw. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the attractive location. Our service was very friendly and attentive. We will be back definitely.

Food was really disappointing, price unjustified for what you got.

The service was friendly and quick! However, we were appalled by the burgers! They were lukewarm, barely cooked through and the mass underneath the patties was indefinable and had a dull taste. At the next table the whole thing was returned because the food was cold and the patties were still almost raw! Sorry, you don't have to have that twice. I've been there several times in the past, it's always been good, but that's not possible now!

We wanted to have a quick lunch yesterday. We haven't been there for a long time and somehow I had a different menu in mind, I'm missing cooked food (otherwise I could go to a snack bar or Mc Do). My daughter had a vegan burger for €11 + €5 for a side dish, the price/performance ratio wasn't right, the burger was very "loveless". For one dish + an Aperol Spritz + a berry spritzer we paid €31.50!!! I'd rather go to my Italian restaurant on the corner, everything is fresh there, no convenience food and significantly cheaper, but that's a matter of taste. 3 stars for the really friendly service and the number of vegan dishes.

Yesterday we had dinner with 12 people. The staff was very nice and quick with the order. Unfortunately not the food. The worst burger 🍔 I've ever eaten. All sauces most likely finished products??? My wife's sweet potatoes were served cold and the waitress was able to take them away straight away. We are all motorcyclists and regularly go to Grill 69 in Dortmund. Top fresh burgers 🍔 plus great fries 🍟 and freshly made sauces. It should be so . Price, performance and taste are disproportionate. Sorry, unfortunately only one star. LG Hans Steer Dortmund

The burgers and fries are highly recommended. The food is very satisfying and the staff is always very friendly and quick. The ambience alone is worth eating here. As if you were in America. I always like to come back.

I was there on Thursday, April 18th. 24 there and ate a simple ranch burger for almost €16. Lovely, dry with traces of sauce, ketchup or mayo. It couldn't be determined exactly. I have never eaten a worse burger! In addition, it only stayed in my body until four in the morning, after which I was completely flat with my stomach and intestines for two days. It's a shame that there are no negative stars, my highest number would definitely be there! I was there a few years ago and it was always good and tasty, but like in many other shops there still seems to be a lack of adequate staff during Corona. Kitchen 6-, thank you, that was the last time!

Today we had the Big Family Breakfast for the first time. Reception super friendly, but very disappointed with the food, little selection, nothing individual at the omelet/pancake station, a complete organizational disaster. We waited 20 minutes for an omelet and it wasn't even finished. One employee with 2 small pans alone for omelettes, Fried eggs and pancakes (although these were nothing like pancakes but rather thin mini pancakes). The price includes coffee, but they only mean filter coffee from a thermal container, maybe you should have written about that. I didn't think the price-performance ratio was justified. Dinner has always been great. We haven't tested the room yet. But unfortunately we won't have breakfast there a second time.

Was only there to eat in the restaurant, so no information about the rooms was possible. Otherwise super strong!!!! A great location, in the last 7 days we were there twice for dinner (as a couple) and on Sunday for the breakfast buffet with our daughter and 2 granddaughters. Everything more than decent portions. Fresh and quick to the table. Very reasonable prices and the staff there are to die for. Everyone, whether responsible for your table or not, is totally attentive without being intrusive. Always have fun despite stress. Breakfast on Sunday includes drinks (coffee, tea, 2 juices, water, milk (also lactose-free) for 24.95 €uro. Fresh bread, fresh rolls, a huge selection, pancakes, fried eggs or even scrambled eggs (without mulch) were made fresh for you It was prepared a little less, was replenished quickly, even the vegan cold cuts and cheese were first class and when we're in the area again, we'll reserve a table from home. Die Burger waren allesamt lieblos mit Fertigsaucen , Besteck verschmutzt, alles lauwarm . Das anrichten eher 👎, Servietten Fehlanzeige. Durch das komplette zubestellen schlussendlich sehr teuer und ein Kaffee f 3 Euro na ja… weit entfernt vom Service in den USA und einem Diner. Ich denke ein zweiter Besuch muss nicht sein .Positiv? Die Deko . Die Bedienung leider überfordert mit so ziemlich allem

Vor einem halben Jahr waren wir zu dritt dort abends um zu essen, lief alles normal außer das ich nach dem Essen aller Beilagen fragen mußte ob ich meinen Bürger noch bekomme! Zumindest hat derjenige der ihn mir noch brachte einmal das Wort Entschuldigung leise hervor gebracht. Jetzt am 13.04.24. den Samstag waren wir zu zweit gegen 15 Uhr dort und haben uns draußen wegen dem Wetter an einen Tisch gesetzt, es war noch was frei und es wurden danach auch noch weitere Bereiche frei gemacht. Wir schauten in die Karte um zu wählen und warteten das eine Bedienung kommt. Nix. Ringsum gab es Getränke und Speisen und wir gaben Zeichen aber nix! In normalen Ton wurde einer Bedienung hinterher gerufen und nix! Wir warteten eine Viertel Stunde an dem Tisch und niemand kam, also gingen wir davon! Wenn ältere Leute nicht in das Kundenprofil passen (wir sind Anfang der 60er) dann bitte vorher kommunizieren! Und bei dem was am Ende bezahlt wird, habe gleich gutes Essen oder besseres auch schon günstiger gehabt. In anderen Restaurants haben wir bisher immer wenn es voll und auch stressig zu ging nach ein paar Minuten ein freundliches "Herzlich willkommen es kommt gleich jemand, sie sehen ja" oder etwas ähnliches gehört und meist sogar gleichzeitig Speisekarten bekommen, wenn sie nicht schon am Tisch waren. Also gehe ich auch lieber da hin für das selbe Geld oder sogar meist günstiger und habe besseren Service und auch gutes oder besseres Essen am Teller. Road Stop für uns nie wieder

Located in a quiet rural area, 12 km south of Dortmund, Motel Road Stop Dortmund offers American-style themed rooms and a prison cell. I chose a night in prison for us, which was an exciting overnight adventure. The restaurant serves American dishes such as burgers, chicken wings and steaks for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious and the service was great. WiFi and parking are free.

Great shop. The prices okay. There is delicious food here, chicken wings, ribs and so on, it tastes really great. American atmosphere, everything is a little bigger, the benches, everything is even. There is even a pinball machine here. Unfortunately, it is very close to the street, so you constantly have to hear these loud motorcycles outside. But that's what it's really all about here Dear waitresses, it's clean and the location is fantastic, you can get there very quickly from Lake Hengstey or the Hohensyburg, Kaiser Wilhelm Monument.

Came to the restaurant spontaneously without a reservation, very tasty, high quality burgers that we didn't have to wait very long for.

We live in the prison cell today and are overall satisfied. A toilet door would have been nice, but of course the theme is better fulfilled that way. It wasn't so clear to us in the pictures. The surprise is even bigger :D It's a shame that menus from 2019 and 2020 are in the room, where cocktails in happy hour are advertised for 5.55 euros, but they then cost 10 euros downstairs and there is no happy hour either. The food is also much cheaper in the "advertisement" in the room than on the menu in the restaurant. You should perhaps have up-to-date maps in your room to avoid disappointment. We still had a cocktail and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. I can't rate the small motel breakfast yet, but it looks really good for 5 euros. We would be happy to come back and definitely recommend the Road Stop.
