Gestern leider keine gute Erfahrung gemacht: Das Essen für 4 Personen wurde sehr spät gebracht, zwei Gerichte waren kalt und das Patty meines Veggie-Burger war knüppelhart und kaum zu schneiden, wahrscheinlich direkt gefroren gebraten. Pommes auch kalt. Auf meinen freundlichen Hinweis wurde mir ein kostenloser Kaffee angeboten. Brauche ich nicht mehr.

Auch wer noch nicht in Amerika gewesen ist, verspürt hier das entsprechende Ambiente. Eine schöne Auswahl an Burgern, Pommes und Nachos wird geboten und von einem super netten, kompetenten(jungen) Personal zügig gebracht. Sehr lecker und empfehlenswert!

There are even charging stations right outside. Unfortunately, one of the two spaces appears to be occupied by a RoadStop vehicle. Employees with company cars should probably be retrained.

We were there at the weekend, it was my second visit overall. The service was friendly and we were able to order everything together. The appetizer also came pretty quickly. In general I would describe the quality of the food as average. The fries and burgers are better elsewhere. In terms of price, you have to say that you should definitely budget a few euros more. I especially find the individual pricing of mayo, fries and a burger questionable. The topic of tipping, where you can choose an option between 7-15% on the payment device, is also a bit excessive in my opinion. Everyone knows that people feel pressured at a moment like this. Overall, I don't have a clear recommendation, especially because of the price-quality ratio.

Restaurant rating: unfortunately the new menu is no longer as good as the old one. Some dishes are no longer on the menu. Unfortunately it always takes quite a long time for the food to arrive.

Went there for the first time yesterday afternoon. I liked the location. I should actually give it 5 stars...but the rest... The map was clear and attractive. The staff seemed annoyed and disinterested. The second round of drinks came as requested. The incorrectly delivered chilli cheese nuggets were completely without filling. (Nuggets were ordered and they were good) They were replaced. Then fries and the burger came what felt like 10 minutes later. The normal burgers obviously didn't have any freshly made patties on them. I would like to give more stars, but then you have to work on the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff.

We eat there every now and then at regular intervals. I've always eaten well so far, but I find what's going on there outrageous. Garlic bread looks different to me. 4 torn pieces of baguette which can be bought at Rewe for 50 cents, spread with a “garlic” butter and then 5€ for that is an absolute joke. Even after a personal complaint there was no response. The service was very friendly and professional, which was the least they could do.

Bei schönem Wetter auf der Sonnenterrasse Platz bekommen. Trotz großem Andrang schnell Getränke und Speisen aufgenommen. Getränke ging echt fix, Wartezeit für Speisen auch akzeptabel, da es echt gut besucht war. Leckere Burger, tolle Pommes und echt nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Hat echt Spaß gemacht. Danke dafür!

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit mit der ganzen Familie im Restaurant – von den Großeltern bis zu den Enkeln. Leider war unser Besuch alles andere als überzeugend. Der Service wirkte chaotisch, die Qualität des Buffets war durchschnittlich, und die Auswahl entsprach nicht den Erwartungen, besonders bei einem Preis von 25 bis 30 Euro pro Person. Aufgrund des Gesamteindrucks vergebe ich nur noch einen Stern.

Wir haben als Paar vom 29.1.-30.1.2025 im Road Stop Dortmund übernachtet und im Restaurant gegessen. Problemloses einchecken trotz Internetstörung. Supernettes Personal. Übernachtet haben wir im Zimmer Central Park. Super eingerichtet mit Wasserbett. Frühstück für € 5,- typisch amerikanisch aber soweit o. k. Das Essen (Spare Ribs und Hamburger) im Restaurant war top. Bedienung auch hier sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert.

I visited this restaurant back in 2018 and gave it a 2-star review based on my experience with the buffet: average service, average quality, and selection – not convincing at a price of over €25 to €30 per person. Now I discovered that within six months, the restaurant tried again to have my review deleted. I consider such behavior unfair and misleading, both to potential guests and to other restaurants that have to compete in the market with quality and service. An honest review culture thrives on authentic experiences – not manipulation. For this reason, I am updating my review and now awarding it only one star.

The seating arrangement in the restaurant was very rude. She asked her colleague, "What are they doing there?" We didn't have a reservation, and since the lady wasn't standing at the front, we sat wherever we thought was right. Then we had to leave because we didn't have a reservation, and the lady's apology was very indirect. It's a shame, really, because the food there is very good.

Big Family Breakfast Buffet, unfortunately a disappointment ... because the buffet was already plundered 30 minutes after opening, and an hour after opening, there were still no new rolls... The guests' mood was therefore low, the service seemed to be trying to calm things down, but the very young team was noticeably overwhelmed... my opinion: not appropriate value for money for a "2-hour buffet" at €24.95... The host explicitly failed to accommodate the rush of paying customers who had reserved in advance and were therefore predictable.

I'm from Romania, it's my first time in Germany and I stayed at Road Stop for two days! The bar is absolutely gorgeous, with a design that makes you feel relaxed and welcome. The location itself is different from other places, but in a positive way – everything is arranged with good taste and attention to detail. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and welcoming place. I will definitely be back!”

I can't comment on the rooms, as we didn't stay overnight, but were only there for the Big Family Breakfast. The selection is good, everything is fresh, and we were very satisfied. Filter coffee and juice are included, which definitely justifies the price of €25 per person.

I’m American and love going here because it is like a little piece of my Heimat. I really love their ribs with the smoky bbq sauce! A baked potato on the side, yum! The atmosphere really does feel American, they did so great on the decorations. The staff is friendly, but their service is sooooo slow and negligent. You have to flag people down constantly for what you need and your glass sits empty for a long time. The check back on you food comes when you’re almost done with the meal. If their service was better then definitely 5 stars! Music could be louder, it’s so soft you can’t hear the words. I will continue to go back and do highly recommend it for a nice American style meal! Haven’t stayed in the hotel.

We had dinner here yesterday on Sunday evening. The food and service were great, or so we thought. Unfortunately, my fiancée has been throwing up repeatedly for several hours now. We will not visit the restaurant again.

I have used the restaurant's services many times. For me it's ok, the burgers are well made, the ribs are very good and juicy, the beer is wet and cold... that's how it should be everywhere! Inside, there's a nice atmosphere of an inn somewhere out of Route 66, but when the summer temperatures are high, it's very nice to stay outside and eat something cold in liquid. I recommend it and will visit you again during the next motorcycle trip in your area.

The food, we had burgers and ribs, was very tasty and of excellent quality, and we also liked the large selection of drinks. The staff was very friendly and gave us good advice and quick service; we found the prices reasonable. We left full and satisfied and would love to come back.

I was looking for somewhere to stay for the Christmas party that took place at the Merkur Casino. I couldn't find a place to sleep any closer or cheaper. The room was beautifully decorated in the style of a prison cell. The service in the restaurant was super accommodating. The food was typically American and good. The look of the restaurant with American props is decorated with attention to detail.

After a longer hike, we stopped at the road stop with a larger group. We had reserved a table in advance. The menu with delicious-sounding names of various burgers promised to be a culinary delight. Unfortunately, unfortunately, far from it. I have never eaten such an incredibly bad-tasting, high-priced burger. Cheap burger buns, dry, tasteless frozen patties and simple toppings. If, according to the menu, you mainly specialize in burgers at such horrendous prices, it should go without saying that there are fresh homemade patties. Since we were all hungry and had been waiting for a long time anyway, we ate the burgers, according to the motto "hunger drives us in." The goat cheese fries, which also sounded tasty on the menu, were simple fries with a goat cheese thaler, a mushy sauce and some salad mixed in for a mere €11.95. I only received a shrug of the shoulders and a tired smile from the waitress who I asked about the dishes. Which to me meant that it was known but nothing was changed. The only thing that scores here is the location and nothing more. If you're looking for delicious burgers here, you're definitely in the wrong place. It's nice to sit there for a drink.

Very unfriendly staff. More than half of all tables are free at 2.30 p.m. but there is only the option to sit on a stool for coffee and cake. Even when we asked again, we were not offered a table with a chair. Thanks. Take our money somewhere else.

Great room, absolutely brilliant decor. Restaurant absolutely perfect, fast service. But somehow, from the next room, I appeared to have been trapped in a 5-hour-long party of a different kind from 3 a.m. onwards. I hope the couple is still doing well ;) Respect, the team in the LA area had perseverance ^^

Great restaurant with a first class atmosphere and really good food! We had a great time :-) What I particularly liked: All burgers could also be ordered as a vegetarian version (with Beyond Meat patty) - so vegetarians also have a large selection. The food is high quality and it really fills you up! The view of the valley is also fantastic. We'd love to come back 👌🏻

I often visit the restaurant, I don't know the rooms. If you like American style, you're in good hands there. The burgers are really tasty, the selection of salads is satisfactory and in the warmer seasons the outdoor area with the rustic terrace and this unbeatable ambience cannot be beaten.

For me, Road Stop itself is okay but not great and the prices are quite high. The service was quick and friendly, our order was taken quickly and the wait for our food was short. Nevertheless, my pulled pork burger was only served lukewarm. The others at the table had better luck with their regular patties. The taste of my burger wasn't that great either, the meat was rather dry. I wouldn't order it like that again. The homemade lemonades are delicious. The restaurant is busy on weekends. It is advisable to reserve a table.

The restaurant is located on a main street. There are a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant (a bit tight for larger cars). In front of the restaurant there is a nice terrace where you could enjoy the view and delicious food when the weather is nice. A reservation would be advantageous as it is already busy from midday onwards. The service was really good, open-minded and very knowledgeable about the menu. We can recommend the 🍔, the CurlyFries🍟, the ChickenWings 🍗 and the thick ribs 🥩. Everything was super fresh and delicious.👍🏻

We reserved a table today at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday. Unfortunately the service today was disastrous. An area was opened especially for us so that we could get (the reserved table😉), but we then had to wait until 7:00 p.m. to place our order. Various guests who arrived after us were served before us. There was no response to our complaint, but it was pointed out that the tables were going through one after the other. Unfortunately, the wrong operation got us into trouble here.

The Road Stop Dortmund is an American-inspired restaurant. I had the spare ribs. These were very good but unfortunately there were no sauces and you had to order them separately. Unfortunately the staff wasn't that quick and it took a while but overall a very good restaurant.

Great hotel! The boss noticed that we wanted to go to the stadium and just took us with him. For €5 you get everything you need for breakfast. The rooms are different but very cool. We are very satisfied and would check in here again on our next visit to Dortmund.

Tolles Hotel! Der Chef hat mitbekommen, dass wir ins Stadion wollten, und hat uns einfach mitgenommen. Für 5 € bekommt man beim Frühstück alles, was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind anders, aber sehr cool gemacht. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und würden beim nächsten Besuch in Dortmund wieder hier einchecken.

Went here at 10 a.m. because there was supposed to be a breakfast buffet Monday-Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. (according to the website). However, it was closed.

I ordered a medium-rare steak, but received one that was rather well-done.

We were there for family brunch. Food was ok. But nothing more. I expect at least a touch of American from an American restaurant. 25€ for a standard breakfast that you get in a simple hotel is really excessive. Used plates, etc. are not really cleared away. We certainly won't be coming back.

For a breakfast buffet at an American restaurant, it was very European, the fresh preparation of the hot dishes could be more professional for a restaurant. Conclusion... the food was okay, service didn't actually take place [order other drinks, for example] Price-performance much too high.

Pay attention to the bill!!! Either they do it on purpose or they don't know how to calculate. I ordered the following (see pictures) for a total of €36.55 and €43.30 was deducted from my account. And the man also got a tip. Food and location itself, ok. But that doesn't mean they should screw you over. Annoying 🤬

Unfortunately I don't have a very good rating for the Roadstop! We ordered burgers and then paid the bill. Unfortunately it didn't match what we ordered and so we paid over €6 more. Unfortunately it was only noticed on the account because it was paid for by card. So always check the amount on the reader, you'll always be smarter afterwards! Food was okay so far.

Always love to out and eat there! Many great options on the menu for everyone and the atmosphere is great with an amazing view outside! Everything really fits the “American” vibe. The service is always nice and the food is of course great.

I would like to describe my recent visit to your restaurant, which was unfortunately very disappointing. We reserved a table for eight people at 7 p.m. After 10 to 20 minutes we placed our food and drink orders with Waiter 1. Fortunately, the drinks came relatively quickly. After an hour of waiting, waiter 1 came to our table again to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything else. When we asked about the food, he only then informed us that there were delays because the kitchen was broken and could only be cooked on individual plates. This information should have been communicated to us much earlier. As the evening progressed, waiter 2 came every now and then to inquire about our well-being and ask for drinks. He apologized several times for the wait and even mentioned that it was also Waiter 1's mistake for not informing us of the problems sooner. Nevertheless, we had to wait a total of 1.5 to 2 hours for our food. At this point, the mood in our group was understandably very dark. Just before we finished eating, one of the waiters came back for a final round of drinks since the restaurant was about to close. At this point I would like to emphasize that waiter 2 in particular was very nice and professional and clearly tried to make the best of the situation. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the management. There was no concession or goodwill from management. Instead, we were told in a rather unfriendly manner that all guests would have to wait and that we should put up with it since we had been informed. However, this was not true as we were only informed about the problems in the kitchen after an hour. Early communication would certainly have led to better understanding and less frustration. It was particularly disappointing that the management didn't come to our table themselves, but only sent waiter 2 forward. Overall, it can be said that the management clearly has some catching up to do here. Such inflexible and unfriendly behavior towards guests leaves an extremely negative impression. Basically, a waiting time of 1.5-2 hours cannot be justified, especially given the price. For two, you should budget at least €60-70 for a drink and a main course. In addition, fewer tables should be accepted if there is no more capacity and the customers ultimately suffer. Therefore, unfortunately I cannot give your restaurant a positive review.

Ich möchte hiermit meinen kürzlichen Besuch in Ihrem Restaurant schildern, der leider sehr enttäuschend verlief. Wir hatten einen Tisch für acht Personen um 19 Uhr reserviert. Nach 10 bis 20 Minuten gaben wir unsere Bestellungen für Essen und Getränke bei Kellner 1 auf. Die Getränke kamen erfreulicherweise relativ zügig. Nach einer Stunde Wartezeit kam Kellner 1 erneut an unseren Tisch, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung sei und ob wir noch etwas bräuchten. Auf unsere Nachfrage nach dem Essen informierte er uns erst dann, dass es Verzögerungen gebe, da die Küche kaputt sei und nur auf einzelnen Platten gekocht werden könne. Diese Information hätte uns deutlich früher mitgeteilt werden müssen. Im weiteren Verlauf des Abends kam ab und zu Kellner 2, der sich nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigte und nach Getränken fragte. Er entschuldigte sich mehrmals für die Wartezeit und erwähnte sogar, dass es auch ein Fehler von Kellner 1 gewesen sei, uns nicht früher über die Probleme zu informieren. Trotzdem mussten wir insgesamt 1,5 bis 2 Stunden auf unser Essen warten. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war die Stimmung in unserer Gruppe verständlicherweise stark getrübt. Kurz bevor wir mit dem Essen fertig waren, kam einer der Kellner erneut, um nach einer letzte Runde Getränke, da das Restaurant bald schließen würde. An dieser Stelle möchte ich hervorheben, dass insbesondere Kellner 2 sehr nett und professionell war und sichtlich bemüht war, das Beste aus der Situation zu machen. Leider kann ich das Gleiche nicht über die Geschäftsführung sagen. Es gab keinerlei Entgegenkommen oder Kulanz seitens der Geschäftsleitung. Stattdessen wurde uns ziemlich unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass alle Gäste warten müssten und wir uns damit abfinden sollten, da wir ja informiert worden seien. Dies entsprach jedoch nicht der Wahrheit, da wir erst nach einer Stunde über die Probleme in der Küche informiert wurden. Eine frühzeitige Mitteilung hätte sicherlich zu einem besseren Verständnis und weniger Frustration geführt. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass die Geschäftsführung nicht selbst an unseren Tisch kam, sondern immer nur Kellner 2 vorschickte. Insgesamt lässt sich sagen, dass die Geschäftsführung hier deutlich Nachholbedarf hat. Ein solch unflexibles und unfreundliches Verhalten gegenüber Gästen hinterlässt einen äußerst negativen Eindruck. Grundsätzlich lässt sich eine Wartezeit von 1,5-2 Std nicht Rechtfertigen vor allem auch nicht bei dem Preis. Zu zweit sollte man bei einem Getränk und einem Hauptgang mindestens 60-70€ einkalkulieren. Außerdem sollten weniger Tische angenommen werden , wenn man keine Kapazitäten mehr hat und die Kunden im Endeffekt darunter leiden. Daher kann ich Ihrem Restaurant leider keine positive Bewertung geben.

Ab 10 Uhr war Einlass und man wurde zu Tisch geleitet. Ab 10 sei aber erst das Buffet fertig. 🤔 Ein Blick auf die Uhr 09:57🤔🤔🤔 Sie haben Humor.. herrlich. Genauso das Buffet herrlich. Rührei, Würstchen, Speck, Wurstaufschnitt(auch Rindersalami) Käse, Fleichsalat, Geflügelsalat, Eiersalat, Tomaten, Gurken, Mozzarella, Obst++++für den dem es nicht reicht... Frische Spiegel/Setzei oder Omelette. Kaffee, Tee, Osaft, Multisaft, Wasser, Milch. Cola und anderes geht extra. Absolut fabulös und seine Reise wert. Reservierung empfohlen😊😊😊

An unusual but successful ambience. The service was good for us and the food was delicious. I had wings, which were unfortunately a bit dry, but I simply ate them much better. 2 of our men had a burger with fries. Our friend's burger cost 18 euros and he wasn't full, despite the fries, which were also paid for additionally. The system is simple, you basically put together your own dish, which is a nice idea. Personally, there was one thing that bothered me at work, and I was glad that we were sitting outside and so I didn't have it in my field of vision all the time: There is a place at the counter where glasses etc. and drinks are apparently given back. It looked like shit there; Fallen beer mats, napkins, etc. collected on the floor around the trash can and the napkins in particular were kicked across the store. I know there's always a lot to do on a Saturday night, but just bending down every now and then and picking up what you didn't put in the trash can can make such a big difference. Just a tip from me for the future.

Wir wollten anlässlich einesGeburtstages am 21.07.24 einen schönen Abend verbringen .Es vergingen 25 Minuten bevornach Aufforderung das erste Mal ein Mitarbeiter an unsern Tisch kam. Bestellung wurde aufgenommen, ein Getränk falsch serviert. Das haben wir noch so hingenommen.Hatten Durst und wollten nicht nochmal warten.Das Essen ließ lange ,40 Minuten , auf sich warten. Ein Essen wurde falsch serviert, alles war kalt.Das falsche Essen wurde erneut falsch serviert als die andern mit Essen fertig waren.Das erneut nicht wie bestellte Esssen wurde dann ,auch kalt, wegen akutem Hunger gegessen.Der Nach dem Essen bestellte Shake brauchte 25 Minuten zu uns. Unverschämter weise wurde ALLES berechnet. Es gab keinerlei Kulanz. Geschmacklich war es OK,aber nicht besonderes. Preis ,Leistung im unteren Segment.Service Personal ungeschult undsehr mit den Handys,weniger mit den Gästen beschäftigt.

Were there for the first time on July 14th. We both had burgers. Catastrophic! Hardly any sauce on the patty. Hardly any onions. The burger itself was mini. The fries were so-so. Together with a glass of wine and a wheat beer 59 euros. Absolutely not worth it. Had promised us more. There are far better burger restaurants out there

It used to be really cool and now you can't even just order fries on the terrace (only possible inside or in combination).

The service was very slow. I understand that it may take longer on a Saturday evening, but this is tolerable. It's not unusual for me to be at a restaurant with my family at this time on a Saturday. This took a particularly long time here. We're talking about a waiting time of around 30 minutes for a 0.4L Fanta (see picture). The service was rather meh, nice service but sparing with what was served. At the beginning you receive a diverse set of cutlery, with only one serving 🙂 (We are 5.5 people). It would be nice to say that you can get more if you ask. However, when we asked (after extra servings) we got the same set again😐. After the food was served, my Fanta finally arrived. In other words - you have finally been able to pick the right oranges/lemons. Plan plenty of time and even more patience. Overall, the food was tasty (waiting time of 1 hour). Greetings

Delicious but you always have to make a reservation

We ate there, had a goat's cheese burger and fries, it was super delicious, there are places inside and outside, outside with a nice view, the staff was very nice, there is parking right in front of it or a large parking lot on the opposite side, we really enjoy eating burgers gladly again.

Service 1 A! I didn't have a room but the food and the service were very friendly, quick and attentive! I think the waitress was the Flash! Location also great

We stopped there for a meal. Therefore I cannot rate the hotel or the rooms. That food tasted good. The view of the valley was also worth seeing. We were served friendly and fairly quickly. I found the prices to be reasonable for what you get. We were lucky with the parking spaces at the time. I could imagine that it is a bit difficult to find a parking space at peak times, but that shouldn't influence the rating. I can only recommend Road Stop Dortmund. Will come back when I'm in the area again.

We were in the Las Vegas room on July 6, 2024 and it was a complete disaster... a lot of frills that didn't work, it was dirty and not nice... 130 euros to sleep with mites and what not!!!! It's a shame I can't post a picture here....we've been there twice and never again....at most for dinner because that's great!!!

On our way through, my son and I took a break and decided to eat at the Road Stop in Dortmund. Our visit was fantastic. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome straight away. The atmosphere at the Road Stop is really something special. The ambience is not only beautiful, but the view from the terrace is simply idyllic and invites you to linger. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we will definitely come back when we are in the area. All in all, I can highly recommend the Road Stop in Dortmund. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break with excellent food and service that leaves nothing to be desired.

Went to Dortmund spontaneously yesterday and got a good table without a reservation. We each ordered a bowl (€20). The bowl was also very tasty, just not intended as a main course, so the price is too high for what you get

Well done classic meals at a reasonable price. Nice western decoration. Acoustics pretty bad though. Service nice and fast

Just awesome... The ambience was really good Gail... The service was super friendly and the fact that it was very well filled, friendly etc. The food had a very good portion, very tasty. We'd love to come back.

We went to the big family breakfast for my birthday. The selection was good, but there was only minimal service (apart from the egg dishes stand where fresh omelettes and pan cakes were offered). Tables were rarely cleared and something was always missing. Be it rolls, cheese or even glasses. This can and should be better for this price!!

Five people ordered at the same time, but only received three meals at the beginning. The rest came 20 minutes later. The waiters reacted relatively indifferently - one might think that this happens often. The burgers were okay, but not great either. The meat was on the grill a little long and the buns could have been from Trader Joes.

Unfortunately, Road Stop has declined significantly compared to before. Some of the burgers were cold... There needs to be a breath of fresh air because I think the place is really great and I want a kitchen that matches it.

Were there yesterday (during the week) and it was well filled. The food was very tasty and the service was also great. We (a group of 10 people) didn't have to wait long for the drinks or the food. Only the chairs could be more comfortable ;-).

Except for the chairs without seat cushions, everything is great. The conditions are attentive and friendly and the food is also very tasty. I can't say anything about the rooms, I was only there to eat. For gluten-intolerant people it is also interesting that there are gluten-free burger buns here, but you still have to ask about the sauces.
