Beautiful. Stayed one night with breakfast. A dream for us.

I was at the Road Stop in Dortmund today, the food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was also amazing, a perfect score, really amazing, I can only recommend it.

Great restaurant with delicious food and friendly service! I had a burger with fries, garlic mayo, and homemade iced tea. The food was really tasty, and the portions were generous enough to satisfy even big eaters. We didn't have to wait long for our food and were very well looked after. The ambiance is charmingly rustic and contributes greatly to the restaurant's atmosphere. The location also has a bit of a country road feel to it, like something out of the US or Canada.

We couldn't review the rooms as we were only there for a meal. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice place, the name matches the style inside. Unfortunately, the burger, which was supposedly level 3 spicy, was very mild. The chili on top was hotter. But the dessert was heavenly.

The rooms are small, cozy, and clean. The service, whether in the motel or the restaurant, is very friendly. The food is excellent. There is plenty of parking available, either in front of the Road Stop itself or across the street. You'll always find a parking space.

Road Stop is a fantastic place. We went there with friends for dinner. The location is great – rustic and cozy, in true American style. The staff was impeccable, everyone was great. We'd definitely go back. 👍👍👍

Nice restaurant. The food came very quickly and was delicious. Unfortunately, the portions were very small and expensive.

I was there on a rainy Sunday. I was amazed at how busy it was. The food was okay, even if you can afford it. Drinks can easily knock €30 off your wallet. The ambiance is also okay. And the attractive waitresses are eye-catching, even if it's not fashionable to mention it these days.

This is not a hotel...Google turns this into a hotel and asks about the rooms...🤣

Great place after a Sunday on the bike. American style with style and ambiance. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful service. The food is unfortunately not quite as good as the service and location suggest, but generally OK – although there is room for improvement, especially with the typical items like fries and wraps. The portions aren't as large as "US" suggests. We'll be back anyway.

Review for the restaurant, not the hotel! Visited at lunchtime. Breakfast including a buffet until 12:30 p.m. The place was packed - reservations recommended on weekends! The ambiance was American, as expected - top-notch! The service was energetic and always friendly. They politely asked how we were several times. For drinks, the expensive but homemade milkshakes are highly recommended - be sure to order them with whipped cream! The Aloha Chicken Bowl had a pleasantly generous amount of dressing and was freshly prepared. The latter also applies to the pulled chicken wrap. The Sweet Chili Crunchy Chicken Burger could have been a bit spicier. The nachos and twister potatoes were nothing special. A definite recommendation for lovers of the American ambiance!

Four of us stopped by for dinner with a reservation. The place is very stylishly decorated in the style of an American diner, and the menu accordingly offers mainly burgers, steak, wings, but also various bowls. The drinks selection is extensive – several soft drinks, beer, cocktails, shots, etc. Service seemed a bit stressed, but friendly. The burgers are generally overpriced, as no side dishes are included. Overall, it was okay, without making a particularly strong impression.

Not killing burger meat again is an art. Unfortunately, it's much too dry.

I worked as a tiler not far from this establishment and decided to stop in for lunch. I went in, took the menu, read it, and waited for someone to come up to me to place an order, but no one came up to me and I left.

First of all: If the names of the dishes weren't so ridiculous, ordering would be much easier. ;-) The Sloppy Joe Burger was too juicy, but the vegan burgers were very tasty. We were disappointed by the potato side dishes – dry, mushy, and unseasoned. The smashed potatoes weren't smashed, more like pressed potatoes. For dessert, we had #The Chocolate Brownie WipeOut. Delicious, but very filling. Finally, I'd like to point out that the menu looks cool and modern at first glance, but the layout is really poorly thought out. I was simply confused while reading it.

Great selection of classic American dishes. Top quality (meat juicy but not greasy) and incredibly fair prices. We were there for our wedding anniversary, which I had mentioned in the table reservation beforehand, and so we even got a small dessert on the house ❤️ we'll be back!!!

The burgers were dry and cold. Fries were forgotten and delivered later. The ribs were also dry and burnt.

The prices are unaffordable for a normal family... for example, a water with ice and a slice of lemon costs 4.50 euros.

The food is okay, but what really bothered me, especially yesterday, was the constant requests from the various waiters to clear the table. I still had half a burger on my plate, and the first time I was seriously asked if I was finished. This happened to us six times yesterday, but in the end, they still cleared the table with half a fries and half a salad, which I happily finished, but I felt very bothered and gave up. Service can be different; we've eaten there many times, but yesterday (September 14, 2025) was our last visit for the time being. I'm usually very generous when it comes to tips, but yesterday I deliberately only paid for what was ordered.

The burgers (Smash) for €15 without any sides were bone dry and not particularly tasty. The ketchup, which you had to reorder to get the burger down, was charged at €1. The fries were delicious, the service was good, and the ambiance was appealing.

Years ago, Road Stop was a favorite restaurant of mine. Then I wasn't here for several years and didn't hear anything good about it. So opened it up and tested it again. And let me say, my fears were not confirmed. Friendly service, good prices, delicious burgers and the ambience is right. What more could you want?

I ate with you yesterday and was very surprised by the super friendly service and also very good food. I will also celebrate my birthday with 12 people there in March and of course eat there more often and thank you again for the super friendly evening.

Pleasant stay with a great atmosphere 👍 The food is nothing special and bordering on overpriced - the drinks were good. The service and the staff were consistently friendly, but unfortunately not very experienced when it came to serving or serving guests. I personally found the tables with the strange coverings and the cowhide benches very uncomfortable. We'll be back and look forward to the drinks and the atmosphere ;-)

Addendum to my review: I received an email response to my review from Road Stop. Unfortunately, I found it unprofessional. Instead of honestly addressing my experience, I was advised to delete my Google review and communicate exclusively by email in the future, along with the note that they would then "express their appreciation appropriately." To me, this seems more like an attempt to suppress public criticism rather than learn from it. It's a shame, because open and respectful communication on equal terms would have made a greater impression than such wording. "Thank you, Road Stop Dortmund, for this unforgettable birthday evening! 🤡 On July 27, I reserved a table for September 1 – and it even confirmed it twice. They specifically added: "Please sit outside with a view of the valley." Sounds simple, right? What happened? An unfriendly reception with the condescending statement: "You can't make reservations outside, it says so on the website." Oh yeah? Strange, because the website only says: > "So you can plan regardless of the weather, we always reserve indoors..." I don't see anything about "reserving outside is absolutely forbidden." But hey, apparently being petty is easier than service. Outside: all tables full. Of course, no effort is made to open more tables, staff shortages (my condolences). Inside: overcrowded, stuffy, loud. Absolutely no ambiance. We left immediately. Conclusion: If you want your confirmed reservation treated like a bad joke, this is the place for you. For everyone else: save yourself the time. Two confirmation emails, zero honesty. Thanks again for the "wonderful birthday stay." 🎉"

I don't know what people like so much about the food. It's all fast food, nothing special, and not perfectly prepared. I think it's more of a meeting place.

It's okay – but there's room for improvement: ➡️ Drinks The homemade lemonade sounded promising, but tasted more like syrup and sugar. Not bad, but nothing special either. ➡️ Starter Garlic bread. Expected: crispy, fragrant, with a decent amount of flavor. What we got: three slices of baguette with garlic butter. Let's call it the "light version." ➡️ Main Course The burger was solid, but unspectacular. The extra cheese was supposed to add a certain something, but the flavor was rather subdued. The bun itself had little character – a quick toasting in butter would have worked wonders. 👉🏼 Conclusion: All in all, edible and okay, but it lacks the finishing touches. With a few details, this could have been much more impressive.

Recently celebrated a birthday party, and all I can say is: It's hard to imagine anything better! Great location, superb preparation, and very, very good service. I'd go back anytime. Thanks to the team.

The restaurant looks incredibly pretty, like an old American lumberjack cabin in the mountains. The ambiance, even the dishes, look incredibly great. The food looks incredibly great and is incredibly... average. The prices are also unbelievable and reflect the looks more than the quality. So if you're not expecting anything extraordinary in terms of taste but are looking for something pleasing to the eye (like influencers, for example), this is the place for you. (This review refers only to the restaurant)

Absolutely recommended...the atmosphere was very good, as was the food. The service was outstanding: today, with a group of 25 people, we had to spontaneously find a new location due to some terrible harassment at Haus Prein. I called the Road Stop and was met with open ears. Despite being very busy, the lady on the phone did her best, researched internally, and cleared a space for 25 people within five minutes. We had a fantastic evening...THANKS TO THE ROAD STOP TEAM...We'd love to come back!!

A real highlight with a USA feel. Firstly, the hotel has I think 6/7 themed rooms like L.A., Las Vegas, and the awesome prison room, and secondly, the mega-cool restaurant with super delicious food. The service is 5 out of 5. Super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is simply an eye-catcher and always busy. The hotel charged me €5 for a small breakfast in a small, cozy kitchen. You can't expect too much here. There's toast, yogurt, cereal, milk, juices, and of course, coffee. Check-in takes place in the restaurant. We stayed there for two nights and it was great. Of course, it can get noisy in the morning when the kitchen is busy, because everything is on the same level as the rooms. But our nights were quiet. The free parking in front of the hotel is often full in the evening. But we were always lucky. So, we need more iconic hotels like this in Germany. Super cool memory.

The location is quite nice. The food wasn't great; the burger patties didn't taste fresh, the chili cheese fries were quite soggy, and the nachos were mediocre. The service was great, and the food and drinks were delivered quickly (perhaps the food was too fast, so it wasn't prepared freshly). The kids' menu is great for little ones. The price/performance ratio is only satisfactory.

The RoadStop is always worth a visit. It's not exactly cheap, but it's worth it every now and then.

We ate and spent the night in the NYC central park room, the food was really good, the service even better. Such a nice staff! The room was a really cool experience, not an ordinary hotell room 😁 10/10!

We've eaten there several times with several people. It's a typical American restaurant with a large, open dining area. Therefore, when it's full, it can be quite loud.

Highly recommended! I celebrated my 50th birthday with around 80 guests at Roadstop Dortmund – and what can I say: It was perfect! From the initial contact and the organization to the last drink of the evening, everything went smoothly. The party room was perfectly prepared, the food was amazing, and the service truly exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Our guests were thrilled, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we ourselves could simply enjoy ourselves. There isn't a single point of criticism – the Roadstop team made an unforgettable evening possible for us. We would celebrate here again anytime. A huge thank you for this thoroughly successful event!

Super friendly staff, they come when you need them and the food is really delicious.

Overnight stay with a race track. Here, you feel like you're staying right next to Bilster Berg. In the room, you can choose between being noisy with the window open or hot with the window closed. Of course, there's no air conditioning. The room is quite small and not exactly clean; the toilet, as well as the shower, is right in the room. Luckily, it's only for one night.

Very tasty burgers and fries. Vegan options are also available. Beautiful view when you sit outside.

We visited the Road Stop today after a long time. The location is really nice. We sat outside, which was very pleasant. The parking lot isn't that big, but there's plenty of space across the street. The food and drinks are pretty high-end, but it was delicious. A big plus: the incredibly friendly staff. The young lady who served us was absolutely fantastic, lovely, and was able to answer all of our annoying questions. We'd love to come back.

We were there with a large group of about 37 people and had already ordered lunch in advance. The service was very friendly, structured, and well-organized. Everything went smoothly. The team was very flexible in accommodating last-minute requests and even prepared a small dessert for us. Food that couldn't be eaten on site was packed by the team and taken away. Our colleagues with special needs were very well received and showed a lot of understanding and patience. They always approached us with a smile :-)

If we ever want to enjoy a special atmosphere and truly delicious food, including vegan and vegetarian options, we'll gladly take the longer route and drive to the RoadStop in Dortmund! You can really tell that the team gets along well with each other, and they bring a lot of joy and exceptionally attentive service to the table. Should there ever be any difficulties or longer wait times due to a large number of guests, this is communicated openly! All in all, highly recommended!!!

The rooms were truly something else. Of course, I can only review the Jim Beam Log Cabin, which we stayed in for the duration of our stay. One thing to note is that the bathroom door is ONLY a saloon door that doesn't completely fill the door frame! The wooden tub is also difficult to use for showering, as half the room and the bed would get wet. BUT: that makes the room's theme very authentic! I only gave the location three stars because it's really loud there, right next to the traffic lights and with the commotion from the parking lot... sleeping with the window open is impossible. However, I didn't expect anything less from a motel, and with the window closed, it was quiet. We booked the small breakfast, and that was perfectly fine: self-service in a small room with the essentials. A tip: make a reservation for breakfast at the restaurant well in advance—it's very popular, though. Speaking of the Road Stop restaurant: We ate there both evenings of our stay in Dortmund after enjoying the first one so much. Delicious, and it's probably already been covered in detail in other reviews, especially since we met people who had traveled an hour to get there. But what I want to emphasize was the staff: the place, with its stylish ambiance, was packed both evenings, and the waitresses were all in a really good mood! Where does one find something like that? It was simply very pleasant! High praise!

I've been going there for years and was unfortunately very disappointed by my visit yesterday. The waitress (a somewhat overweight lady wearing see-through leggings :) ) was unfriendly and seemed annoyed when we politely asked for a menu. Even questions about the food were answered only briefly and in a visibly annoyed tone. This made us feel unwelcome. It's a shame, because the food was okay—but with service like that, we probably won't be coming back.

We were there with four people. The service was super friendly and professional. They worked outside super quickly and with a smile! Great👍. The tables were clean and the outside area was well-stocked. There were several burgers and finger food. Salad rounded out the meal. We were extremely satisfied and everyone enjoyed it. So why only 3 stars? The men's restroom is a disgrace; everything stinks of urine, and they try to cover it up with scented pads. A broken socket, no hot water, and everything wet next to the hand dryer! What a shame, considering my parents always used to say (Go to the bathroom first in a restaurant).

Went to the Road Stop Dortmund yesterday – it was packed, but the service was on top of everything, really relaxed and friendly 😎. The smash burgers? As always, incredibly delicious, juicy, and just cooked to perfection 🍔👌. Drinks came quickly, even though it was really busy. Sitting outside with the beautiful view of the valley is simply wonderful. The atmosphere is totally relaxed, you immediately feel at home. We're already looking forward to the next time – everything is just perfect here!

The food was so good. Typical American style. Plus, when the weather's nice, it's a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the view of the forest below Hohensyburg Castle.

Our first visit was worth it. A beautiful location with a relaxed atmosphere. Table service, and even the little ones are catered for with books, coloring books, and crayons.

Beautiful terrace with a view, friendly and attentive service, and the Waikiki Sea Bowl is highly recommended (€19.90) – the price is just about right, as it's delicious and well-stocked with shrimp and pieces of salmon. Unfortunately, the extra bread was extortionate – €1 per mini slice of white bread. That's not necessary!

I can't comment on the room, but the food (burgers) was cold. And you had to wait a bit for a drink to be served. The ambiance inside and out is very nice.
