I rarely write reviews, but I have to leave one here. Four of us went to dinner at The Ash. The place was moderately busy. We actually wanted to sit inside, but with some persuasion, they persuaded us to take a seat outside – the outside area was supposed to be busier and attract more customers. We had barely taken our seats when the server stood in front of us and wanted to take our order. She seemed annoyed when we asked her to give us a little more time. Less than three minutes later, she was back with us. We opted for burgers, various sides, and drinks. The food arrived quickly. The first bite revealed immediately: the burger was lukewarm at best, more like cold. The fries were far from hot. The coleslaw was very watery. Overall, all the ingredients were barely seasoned. When you go to a chain like The Ash, you can't expect fine dining. But at least a good standard that reflects the price. Here the price-performance ratio was not even remotely justified.

I have to say, things have improved significantly here. The service is noticeably better, and the food is better too. You can now get a good steak here at a reasonable price. Therefore, I'm raising my rating.

An absolute must for Sunday brunch. A really good selection and a good price. The staff just seemed a bit uninspired that day.

I'd actually like to give it 3.5 stars, but since that's not possible, I'll decide in favor of the restaurant. I've been to "The Ash" several times, for all meals. Both the dinner and lunch menu were more than impressive. Good service, the taste was impeccable. Then we went for breakfast again and, to be honest, we were disappointed. We were seated at the table, and that was it. We had to get someone to come to our table for all our requests, and even though we were seated very centrally, we were simply ignored. I've never had such weak coffee in my entire life as I did that morning. The buffet offers a selection of breakfast and lunch options, but they're pretty standard. It would have been nice if, apart from two types of melon at the beginning of June, there had been a bit more fruit selection; there's plenty to choose from at that time of year. Conclusion: I'd happily go there for lunch and dinner, but I wouldn't go there for breakfast in the morning.

I used to really enjoy coming here – great food, good service, a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, that's changed quite a bit. My last three visits have been disappointing every time. Even though I had a reservation, I was either seated at a high table right by the bar ("there was nothing else available") or at a table with garden chairs that was really dirty – and no one cleaned it for ten minutes. No "I'll be right there," no nothing at all. I'm really not picky, but for a restaurant in this price range, you simply expect more. Especially considering that a place like Peter Pane – which shouldn't really be a competitor – has much better service. The most annoying thing was the lack of communication within the team: Once, we were asked to move because our table was much too small. Shortly afterward, they suddenly said it wasn't possible – even though the table in question had remained free for ages. The apology ultimately came only from a nice waitress, who actually couldn't help it. The actual management reacted rather rudely. It's a shame – I'd really like to stay loyal to the place. But three bad tables in a row, bad service, bad communication… it just puts a damper on your enthusiasm. Two stars because I know things could be better – but right now, things just aren't working out.

More show than substance! The ambiance looks great! Waited 45 minutes for lunch. The food is never worth the price! The plates were poorly presented; the ciabata bread sandwich was so hard it made my gums bleed. I told the waiter, but unfortunately he didn't care. My conclusion: once and never again!!! The debit card reader with the option of 10%, 20%, or 30% tip is an absolute disgrace!!! We should get our money back for such service!!!!

The young waiter is a win for The Ash

No, this is our second time here but our order included drinks. Unfortunately the food only came without drinks. When we had finished eating we asked the waiter who apologized but this will be our last visit because with a BBQ burger 🍔 a drink definitely comes first. And why do they write "thank you and see you soon" in ballpoint pen on the receipt :-) 😀 was that usual or an attempt at flirting? When I go out to eat with my wife it's not appropriate at all. The dressing in the meal for 17 euros with a salad was missing or there was so little dressing that you couldn't see it. The burger was tasty but everything else was questionable and unacceptable.

Four of us went to The ASH Bremen for breakfast on Sunday. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our reserved table. The hot and cold buffet exceeded our expectations. Everything was always fresh and plentiful. We'd be happy to come back.

Today we tried "the Ash." We had a burger, spare ribs, and a spring special, the cheesy beef roll. We also had rosemary potatoes and mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and plentiful. However, they were much too sweet for my taste. Unfortunately, they were only available when I ordered a side dish (except for the coleslaw). The rosemary potatoes, unfortunately, didn't have any rosemary. Strange. The burger tasted good, especially in the pretzel bun. The ketchup sauce for the fries is probably enriched with applesauce, which is why it's special and very sweet. A matter of taste. The fries were very tasty and seemed to be hand-cut. The cheesy beef roll was the highlight for me; it had a spicy sauce, delicious meat, and tasted very good with the avocado cream. This also came in a pretzel bun. Except for the processed cheese, which could have been regular cheddar, it was a really delicious combination. The mac and cheese also consists of a processed cheese sauce, which unfortunately isn't particularly unusual. Very borderline. I would advise against it. All in all, we had a delicious meal here, However, I don't think the price-performance ratio, especially for the ribs, is particularly good. Some ideas and combinations could be rethought. The chair armrests inside cause you to constantly slip.

We've eaten there several times now on various occasions. Every time, the chairs are full of crumbs, the glasses are dirty, and the table isn't completely set. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the service, while trying hard, somehow also regularly falls flat. There's simply no one to ensure the staff performs.

We went there for brunch. The ambiance is truly wonderful, and the best thing about the brunch is 5 stars. The service is 4 stars. They were very nice, but significantly understaffed for the volume. So, just missing the 5th star. The American-style brunch buffet still has a lot of potential. The cheese and vegetable selection were very limited. More variety would have been appreciated. The sliced ​​bread was really great!!! The price for water was very cheeky. A self-recycled bottle (I estimate 0.7l) of sparkling or still tap water costs €6.95. That's a pretty steep price for tap water. We also went there for dinner. We'd be happy to come back. Brunch doesn't seem to be their focus, though...

Food/ambience and prices are great!

We were here for lunch on a Tuesday. Our first time ever. We were immediately offered a seat and given a choice. However, the area felt more like a hall. Many tables were next to each other. We constantly felt like the table next to us was eavesdropping and watching us. When ordering, we were repeatedly told: "That's not part of the menu!" We considered "ribs all you can eat" or the lunch menu. The response to the spare ribs was: "There's nothing included" (no drink; no cole slaw, as stated on the menu; no fries; nothing at all). The lunch menu includes a meal of your choice, a side dish including mayo or ketchup, and a soft drink. We opted for a lemonade and a ginger ale (both drinks listed in the soft drink column). With both orders, we were told that these drinks were not part of the menu. Only Coke, Fanta, or Sprite. It's a bit bizarre when soft drinks are advertised. No one asked for mayo or ketchup. When the food arrived, they simply said casually: "Ketchup was fine, though..." Positive: With the ginger ale we ordered, which wasn't actually included, we got that and a Coke. A baked potato we ordered was unsatisfactory. Tasteless and only lukewarm. You can get better ones at the supermarket. The steakhouse fries we ordered were thin and soggy. I love fries. That was very disappointing. The ketchup didn't taste like ketchup. The truffle burger, on the other hand, was first-class. The meat and the combination of truffle mayo and mushrooms were outstanding. The misery continued when paying. We paid by card. We only received a receipt upon request, and the server's good mood seemed to dwindle. On the way to the car, I looked at the receipt. Strangely, ketchup was charged separately. We had a single ketchup container for both meals. But I didn't want to make a fuss about the amount of ketchup. We won't be going back to The Ash for a while. We regularly eat at the restaurant next door!

We were there for Easter brunch. Food very good, service very friendly. Unfortunately, I had a seat with my back to the buffet. It was very restless and unpleasant that people kept bumping into my chair.

Yesterday we had lunch here. There are 5 dishes to choose from for an unbeatable price. Under 10 € including a drink. They are very simple dishes, but suitable for a small wallet. If you don't find anything appealing on the lunch menu, you can also order from the normal menu. We had burgers and burritos here. The burgers were OK. The burrito was okay, not a typical burrito like I know and a bit too sweet in taste. The plate looked very bland and didn't really invite you to eat. The service is extremely courteous and friendly. The ambience is great. There are so many different seating options here that really invite you to chill out and enjoy the day or evening in comfort. Water is filled into bottles, but the price seems a bit too expensive for me. This was our second time here. The food is okay, but unfortunately it doesn't convince us. There is still a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately I can't say what the steaks taste like here, but it could be that the restaurant here is more specialized. Cocktail super tasty, not filled with too much ice either. Come and see for yourself.

We were there for the first time. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the staff is very nice. The menu has a lot to offer, everyone should be able to find what they are looking for. The food came quite quickly, we thought the meat was good, but the side dishes were small, the baked potato was still a bit hard and the fries were mostly limp. Unfortunately we had hoped for more for the price.

The three of us went to The Ash restaurant in Bremen for the first time on April 30, 2025. The rooms are very spacious. We ordered our food in a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. At this point it becomes suspicious. All three different types of meat were very tough or stringy. The side dish we ordered (Mediterranean vegetables) was obviously and not freshly prepared in terms of taste. Additionally, the vegetables seemed like they didn't use the freshest ingredients. It was absolutely inedible and could not be eaten. During the meal, an employee came to our table and asked if everything was okay. In this conversation, one of the things that was criticized was the meat, which could not be cut through with the already sharp knife. As a gesture of goodwill, 100g of beef fillet was delivered. Unfortunately again with the inedible side dish (Mediterranean vegetables). To be fair, we were also offered two hot drinks as a gesture of goodwill. In the end the bill was just over €180, which didn't reflect the quality of the food.

The Ash Bremen team is characterized by its friendliness. The restaurant is clean inside and out, including the parking spaces; the food is always prepared fresh and warm.

So the steak is really good. The rest is a very clear “that’s how it works” Far too expensive for what is offered. Even the herbs that are included everywhere for free simply cost an extra €3?! Honestly, everything is way too expensive. Steak great, really great, the rest nope!

Yesterday we had dinner with you as a family. We were thrilled from the first moment. The ambience alone is wow. We were looked after very well throughout the evening. The food rounded off the great evening completely.

Were there for brunch. Eggs were empty as of 11:00 am There were no waffles either. Yogurt too. Drinks were simply cleared away while we were at the buffet, even though Ken was still hanging over the chairs. And some plates at the buffet were empty and only then would they start preparing something new (tomato/mozzarella), for example. Service was super nice. But not recommended for the price.

Ostermontag-Brunch war schrecklich 😞 Ich habe noch nie so eine schlecht organisierte Küche erlebt. Um 11.00 Uhr zur 2 ten Besetzung waren schon einige Speisen nicht mehr verfügbar. Wie einem die Eier zu Ostern ausgehen können ist mir schleierhaft. Die Restaurantleitung lies sich trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung nicht blicken und lies das Servicepersonal im Stich … schämt Euch. Vielen Dank an Sila, die noch versuchte es halbwegs erträglich zu machen.

Easter Monday brunch was terrible 😞 I have never experienced such a poorly organized kitchen. At 11 a.m. for the second occupation, some dishes were no longer available. How anyone can run out of eggs at Easter is a mystery to me. Despite repeated requests, the restaurant management didn't show up and let the service staff down... shame on you. Many thanks to Sila, who tried to make it somewhat bearable.

Wir waren Ostermontag zum Brunch hier. Tolles Ambiente. Im Brunch war leider nur ein wässriger Filterkaffee inklusive, aber leider kein Tee, kein Wasser und auch kein Orangensaft, was ich sehr schade fand. Das sollte man aber vorher lieber wissen. Das Essen war reichlich, wenn auch leider nicht ganz heiß - obwohl wir mit die ersten Gäste waren um 9.15h Ein Kellner hat auch leider vergessen, dass wir zahlen wollten. Dennoch eine Empfehlung, denn es war ein tolles Buffet und alle waren freundlich. Insbesondere am Empfang. Wir kommen wieder.

Here I was lucky enough that Voice Over Piano was invited to a business lunch by a sponsor. And I have to say: really, really great! First of all, beef carpaccio and finally not dripping in oil! Was already fantastic. For the main course: Beef tenderloin steak, grilled green asparagus, mashed potatoes, herb butter. Each of these dishes or sides had its own personal touch and tasted really excellent. For dessert, apple crumble with vanilla ice cream - fit seamlessly into the series of previous taste explosions. The atmosphere is very chic and you can discover a lot of little things that are worth seeing. All that remains is the service: Here too we were really lucky with Julia, a blonde student who works here regularly. She was courteous, articulate and had everything in view. Well, what can I say: all in all one of the best locations I've eaten at. And luckily someone else paid. But even without that, my vote would have been the same.

The service was very friendly, but not very fast. Food was ok. However, all dishes (steak, burgers, pasta) were only lukewarm when they came to the table (hence only 3 stars). Repeat orders (fries, mayonnaise) either didn't come at all or only came when the plates were empty. After all, this is a restaurant with high standards and prices. Then something like this shouldn't happen. At the end an additional drink was charged. We will give them a second chance. 2nd chance: Were there today for spareribs. Very tasty and recommended. Very nice service. Will probably come back again 3. Brunch Restricting brunch to 2 hours doesn't work at all. We haven't done it and we won't do it in the future either.

Went to The ASH in Bremen for the first time today - and went straight to “Ribchen Fed” Tuesday (€19.90 per person) I just had to try it out - and what can I say: I'm thrilled! The weather was wonderful, so we were able to sit comfortably outside on the terrace in the sun. The service was top - super attentive, friendly and we didn't miss anything. And the ribs? Absolutely awesome! So buttery tender that they almost fell off the bone themselves. The taste is really good - juicy, aromatic and simply delicious. For all BBQ and meat lovers: Absolute recommendation from me ✨

We went to ASH Bremen for brunch yesterday and really enjoyed it. I can only recommend it. There was plenty of it from everyone and it was always freshly refilled.... I have one point of criticism: why don't you do it so that you get a pot of coffee at the table and can't just get one cup again and again... But otherwise we were very satisfied and enthusiastic.

We really liked the restaurant. The staff was very friendly but a bit over the top. We had ordered a bottle of water which unfortunately was dirty. There were black particles floating around in it and small flakes. Very unsavory. We gave the water back, my son then had an apple juice and my mother-in-law a beer. Apple juice was then taken over by the restaurant and we didn't have to pay as an apology. I had a truffle burger that tasted good so far, but unfortunately it didn't taste like truffles. I had five very thin green asparagus that unfortunately didn't taste good at all. The hollandaise sauce that comes with it tastes like it came out of the package. The other three dishes were okay. My mother-in-law said it came with potatoes but she got mashed potatoes. My conclusion is unfortunately we won't be coming back. I would recommend that the restaurant check the water. Because it can't be that you get a bottle of water that is completely dirty.

It was a very nice visit to this location. Due to evil looks from my wife, there was a lot of food and Averna for free. I'm very happy The waitress told me that I was only writing this review on Tuesday because there was all you can eat spare ribs there. I won't visit this (I'm not from Bremen, it's too long a drive and I don't like it, but it's definitely leggaschmegga) I often like to eat there when I'm in Bremen. Leggaschmegga meat Burgers look good too. The kitchen and toilets look good and are clean. I like the soap GaLiGrü Wolfgang Bang

Very tasty stick I'd love to come back

I've never eaten here and I won't either. Bad service or none at all! We entered from the main entrance, only a lady in front of us. The perfumed waitress thought she would have a little chat with her, but that wasn't a bad thing. Then two more waiters came and were discussing something at the cash register. So there were 3 waiters at the entrance. A couple with a stroller came from the back door and was immediately assigned a place. And my friend and I were still waiting. Even the couple could tell from the expression on their faces that something was wrong. So we left. And we were dressed appropriately.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Ash and would highly recommend it. The atmosphere is stylish and modern, with a touch of American steakhouse flair. The service was first class – attentive, friendly and competent. The highlight was of course the food: the steak was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes and sauces were excellently coordinated, and the selection of drinks left nothing to be desired. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients - they really set the highest standards here. If you're looking for an excellent steakhouse, The Ash is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

I'm completely stunned. During my visit I was charged an UNASKED tip of €7.33 and I didn't receive a receipt. After I noticed the difference between the food I had eaten and the amount charged, I spoke to another waitress who fetched the relevant colleague. Then they tried to sell me on the idea that I had made the mistake of picking that big of a tip by mistake. I did NOT choose a tip AT ALL, my companion can attest to that. I then got the money back in cash, even though I paid by card. As I was leaving I noticed that another guest was having a discussion at the door about his bill. I spoke to him afterwards and found out that he had been charged twice for several dishes. Absolute disgrace!

Went for American brunch with the family. I miss the water and juice at the buffet. In other restaurants this is available for breakfast. In the Ash you have to pay extra for everything except the coffee, decaffeinated coffee also has to be paid extra, I don't think that's recommended. In America there is always free water with food. Otherwise the food is good. The background noise is also very high. For good conversations you have to sit next to each other.

I ordered the BBQ burger with kringle fries. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the burger patty was fried for too long. The edge was very dry. The bacon wasn't fried optimally either. Some of it was so hard that you couldn't get through it with a knife. Normally the bacon crumbles when it is hard, but that was not the case here. I've never heard of bacon with such a consistency. It's a shame, otherwise it tasted good. I mentioned this to the waitress, the gentleman took it with interest and offered a free drink. I hope this was a blip, I'll test it again from time to time. My wife had the caneloni and was very happy with it.

Top food with great service. The ambience itself is really great, but it gets quite loud once the place is full, but that can't be avoided. Since the quality of the food itself is good in my opinion, the price is also a little higher. It's definitely worth eating here! Definitely use the reservation 😉

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my rib eye - medium rare The first time I tried it, the steak was very dull and I had to return it. The second time I tried it, I was just sad: I have very rarely eaten such a tasteless piece of beef. I was really very disappointed and would recommend looking for another, perhaps regional supplier. My companions' food was okay. However, I also have to mention that we waited 40 minutes for our food. We ordered shortly after 1 on a Sunday. And even if brunch is over and a lot of cleaning needs to be done, such a long wait shouldn't happen. There needs to be better timing. But I have to praise the way the service staff handled my complaint. Very good and professional! I would like to recommend the operators of the restaurant to renovate the restaurant. A few small examples that caught my eye: - Step edges on the steps to the toilet - Toilet seats (women's toilet) - Paper dispenser (toilet) - “Cable tangle” where the lamps are charged - Sockets under the tables … I think it's a shame when such beautiful locations are not cared for or maintained enough.
