Thai Sawasdee Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

Regular Thai food. Despite the restaurant being full, the food arrived promptly. Despite the stress, the owner was as friendly as ever. The ambiance is just okay, but the food is very good.

The food here is amazing — full of authentic Thai flavors! . Great service, and reasonable prices. The restaurant could use a bit more atmosphere, but the flavors were outstanding! so Highly recommend!

I've ordered there many times and have never been disappointed. The food has always been delicious and has always been delivered quickly and hot, but I find the prices unreasonable: €7.90 and €8.90 respectively for a soup that previously cost around €4-5 (approximately €17 with all fees), as well as €14 (also approximately €17 with all fees) for a simple portion of pasta, which previously cost less than €10, is an unreasonable price difference and a blatant increase. At these prices, I probably won't order there again. Unfortunately.

The food was great, but unfortunately there was no 🐷. The waiter was Filipino-German and was entertaining and attentive to our requests for more 🍚.

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch! The food was average, the atmosphere was lackluster, and the prices were steep. It's better suited for delivery than a restaurant!

I ordered yesterday after work and was very disappointed. The prices have risen significantly, which I had already noticed online. The food arrived after about 40 minutes: The fried rice was extremely watery and consisted of nothing more than a few pieces of breaded chicken. If the prices are going to increase, I expect a decent portion, but instead there was hardly any rice and very few pieces of chicken. A year ago, I also ordered from here, and the portions were significantly larger and of better quality. I'll give it another chance and order again. If the portion is this small and watery again, that's it for me as a regular customer. If this continues, they'll close the shop soon.

Pad Krapao is a complete disappointment – not authentic at all. The ground meat is practically swimming in the sauce, the rice is far too soft, almost like rice soup... and then there's bell pepper in it! Bell peppers have no place in a real Pad Krapao – completely out of place. Also, there was not enough Thai basil; there were only 3-4 leaves in it, and it didn't taste like it at all... For €19, it's completely overpriced.

An absolute insider tip if you can overlook the unfortunately rather shabby ambiance. The food is really very good and offers fair value for money. Personally, however, I strongly advise against making reservations on the terrace, as you'll be exposed to the unfiltered car exhaust and the odourous stench of the kebab/chicken/burger stand right next door. I recommend picking up your order in person, so you can enjoy the excellent food much better in a more pleasant setting of your choice.

Food was top 👍 Otherwise pretty run down like the whole of Griesheim. The toilet is in the basement, but it smells already at the top of the stairs. Parking very difficult to find. The markets with lots of parking spaces are equipped with cameras and are just waiting to be ripped off.

Mixed review here. The food was in fact excellent 5/5, at least for Thai restaurants in Frankfurt. But I had to deduct 2 stars for the following reason: we ordered many dishes. One of us has strong allergy to squid, but for that person we ordered food without squid of course. The problem is that they likely didn't clean well enough their pots in between the cooking and the person got allergy attack (likely due to residuals from cooking other dishes which had squid).

The heating supposedly failed, there was only one answer: I'm sorry!!!! Outside we only had 1 degree Celsius. No blankets or discounts. Just a small fan heater at the entrance!!! Cutlery was ice cold, which is not great in December. My girlfriend caught a bad cold because there was an additional draft from the ceiling. Furthermore, guests who came after us were provided with food first. The tea took an excessively long time. I couldn't find the Thai basil in the dish, there was a huge portion of one-size-fits-all sauce. We saw that a cook was coming into the kitchen with a large bottle of Maggi. I take the liberty of writing this because I have been traveling to Thailand for many years, I know what makes good Thai cuisine!!! Well then: bon appetit!!!!!!!

Where do the reviews come from??? I was shocked by the outside area, full ashtrays, weeds, bathroom rugs used as doormats, overflowing trash cans, neon lights inside, dog running loose and very surprised faces. We turned on our heels and fled.

The Thai restaurant impresses with delicious dishes. Every dish is freshly prepared and offers a true taste experience. In terms of value for money, you really get a lot for your money here. A small disadvantage, however, is the limited parking options, which can make the visit a little difficult. Nevertheless, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

The food was incredibly good. The portions are large and very nicely prepared. This proves that you can get wonderful and delicious food even without a flavor enhancer. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

I can't understand the good reviews. Ordered via Lieferando around 1807, delivery time 20-40 minutes. It was delivered in 1936. The summer rolls were completely torn at the top and bottom, so they completely fell apart almost immediately. Taste was quite good. The "Guay Tiew Phad Khi Mao" was mushy, 90% just lumpy noodles soaked in sauce and it had a few beans, zucchini (whatever they have in a Thai dish), carrots and prawns inside. The spiciness was fine for Germany, but a bit too light for me personally. But due to the soggy texture, a good two thirds of it ended up in the trash. The “Som Tam Pu Pha Raa” was an insult to anyone who has ever eaten the dish in Thailand. The dish was so salty that you couldn't even taste the spiciness, which was strong even for my hardened taste buds (simply deadly for the normal German palate). No sweetness, no acid from the limes, no aroma from the papaya, just pure salt. Bah! For almost 50 euros, an experience that I definitely won't have again.

Price remains relatively stable over the years and so does the total quantity of the dish. However, the individual ingredients change their proportion in the total amount. The good thing is that you'll be full because of the quantity.

The best Thai in Frankfurt. Thai Sawasdee is a wonderful Thai restaurant in Frankfurt. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very friendly. The wontons are crispy and delicious, definitely the best I've ever eaten. The red curry with duck is particularly recommended - the duck meat is tender and the sauce is very spicy and tasty. Overall, Thai Sawasdee offers a great dining experience and is for me the best Thai in Frankfurt. A visit is worth it!

I picked chicken noodles but when I got home which is only 5 minutes away and when I opened the box it just smelled like seafood/shrimp which I am allergic to!! When I went to check what noodles they made, the lady just smelled the chicken pieces and said it was chicken. When I insisted on smelling it, she just gave me my money back and said nothing. An explanation was needed here, but she said nothing!! which looked very rude/insulting to me! I just left!

Very good and authentic food and consistent quality and quality for years. 1 star deducted because only cash payment is accepted, which is neither contemporary nor customer-friendly. The atmosphere is clean and very rustic, there are no private parking spaces.

Kann leider die Bewertung hier nicht nachvollziehen. Waren heute hier essen. Das Essen an sich schmeckt wirklich gut. Jedoch nur eine gewisse Zeit bis man dann zu Hause merkt das man starke Bauchschmerzen bekommt. Nicht nur ich, sondern alle die mir waren, hatten danach starke Bauchschmerzen….. das lag ggf. an der Hygiene dort. Oben sieht ja einigermaßen okay aus. Macht aber nicht den Fehler und geht auf Toilette…. Danach vergeht euch der Appetit. Es stinkt dort und geputzt wurde die Toilette sicherlich 1 Woche nicht mehr. Da will man gar nicht wissen, wie die Küche aussieht…. Jetzt weiß auch vorher die Bauchschmerzen kommen!

Ein kleines Restaurant mit leckeren Speisen. Die Toilettensituation war unterdurchschnittlich, ansonsten gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Wir saßen außen, insofern kann ich nur wenig über den Aufenthalt innen sagen. Ich werde definitiv wieder dort essen.

Seit Jahren wieder mal ein gutes Thai Essen in Frankfurt Griesheim.
