Disappointed about food. Pork too fatty. Duck ok spice not refined enough. But food on other tables looked nice

There were two of us and we were served nicely, the food was great and we were also pleasantly surprised by the ambience. The staff was a bit upset which wasn't dramatic. We'll definitely be back!

Basically delicious food. Unfortunately, the entire staff was very tense throughout the evening. Every few minutes, delivery people bang on the windows to pick up deliveries. Our food arrived extremely late and by the time my rice arrived the duck was already cold. Very unfortunate.

Ambiente: Das Toh ist ein kleines Schmuckstück in der hektischen Stadt. Der Gastraum ist zwar ein wenig klein, aber verteilt sich auf zwei Etagen. Trotz der Enge fühlt man sich wohl und nicht eingeengt. Leider kann es an kalten und windigen Tagen im Gastraum schnell kalt werden, wenn die Tür aufgemacht wird. Da hilft auch kein Vorhang. Essen: super leckere authentische Thai-Küche. Ich kann wirklich so gut wie alles empfehlen. Letztens hatte ich aus Versehen Tofu statt Huhn bekommen, und sogar damit hat das Thai-Curry gut geschmeckt. Zu empfehlen sind ebenfalls die Thai-Eistees. Personal: super nett und auch bei großem Stress aufmerksam. Preise: für Qualität, Menge und Lage echt fair. Fazit: ich komme gerne öfters hier her. Das Essen ist lecker und wärmt von innen. Da macht einem auch eine kühle Priese nicht viel aus.

The 4.5 rating on Google can't be serious. The food doesn't taste good at all! The Thai soup tasted like from cheap ready to eat soup bag, other dishes were a bit better but barely OK 3/5. I gave it 2 stars only because the food was fresh, which is really low bar to be honest. Taste and cooking really needs improvement.

Ich besuche das Toh Tong in Frankfurt regelmäßig, weil ich die authentische thailändische Küche sehr schätze. Leider musste ich gestern eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung in Bezug auf den Service machen. Am frühen Abend, gegen 17:45 Uhr, rief ich an, um einen Tisch zu reservieren. Die Dame am Telefon teilte mir jedoch mit, dass keine Reservierungen möglich seien und wir einfach vorbeikommen sollten. Dem sind wir dann auch gefolgt. Als wir um 18:15 Uhr im Restaurant ankamen, war der Laden noch weitgehend leer, doch die Kellnerin erklärte uns, dass kein Tisch für uns verfügbar sei, da angeblich alles bereits ausreserviert wäre. Ich muss sagen, dass ich mich in dieser Situation sehr unhöflich behandelt fühlte. Es wäre hilfreich und ehrlich gewesen, uns diese Information bereits bei der telefonischen Anfrage mitzuteilen, anstatt uns unnötig vorbeikommen zu lassen, nur um dann abgewiesen zu werden. Besonders ärgerlich war es, da ich mich im Feierabendverkehr 30 Minuten durch die Stadt gekämpft hatte, um am Ende enttäuscht wieder abzureisen. Diese Erfahrung war für mich ein großer Wermutstropfen, denn ich habe das Toh Tong bisher immer geschätzt. Ich hoffe, dass solche Missverständnisse und Unannehmlichkeiten in Zukunft vermieden werden können.

I visit Toh Tong in Frankfurt regularly because I really appreciate authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, yesterday I had an extremely disappointing experience in terms of service. Early in the evening, around 5:45 p.m., I called to reserve a table. However, the lady on the phone told me that reservations were not possible and that we should just show up. We followed that too. When we arrived at the restaurant at 6:15 p.m., the place was still largely empty, but the waitress explained to us that there was no table available for us because everything was supposedly already reserved. I have to say that I felt very rudely treated in this situation. It would have been helpful and honest to provide us with this information when we called, rather than having us come in unnecessarily only to be turned away. It was particularly annoying because I fought my way through the city in rush hour traffic for 30 minutes only to leave disappointed in the end. This experience was a big downer for me because I have always appreciated the **Toh Tong**. I hope that such misunderstandings and inconveniences can be avoided in the future.

I would have liked to write a friendlier review, but difficult after what happened to me: One Friday evening I wanted to go out to eat alone. After being inside briefly, I was kindly asked to wait outside. Understandable, as the entrance area was very small. After about 5-10 minutes I was brought in and sat at a table. The food and drink menu was already there. After my decision was made, I waited longer again until a waitress told me that I had to go outside and wait again; the table is reserved. I then left, I didn't want to go through that. The next evening I wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but not on site, but by ordering online for pickup. The website even has photos of all the dishes, which helped with the decision-making process. I then decided and wanted to order, but then saw that I could order for pickup on Tuesday. I then registered on Wolt, a delivery service, and ordered there for pickup. It worked there: after about an hour of waiting, I was able to pick up my food. The food was good, there was nothing wrong with it. Still a very bumpy start with this restaurant. Hope this works better in the future.

I always go here when I'm in the mood for Thai cuisine. Recommended by a Thai friend herself, and it's always worth it! Price point is honestly a bit more on the expensive side, but food is always always good, quality is good, and staff are always the best!

Zu Recht auf Platz eins der asiatischen Restaurants in Frankfurt. Waren als Touristen Sonntag Abend ohne Reservierung dort. Mussten zwar zuerst extra warten, es hat sich aber total gelohnt. Freundlicher Service und nicht allzu lange Wartezeit. Das Essen war fantastisch. Fünf Sterne von uns!

If you book for 8:15 p.m., waiting at the door for almost half an hour to be let in is simply not possible. Otherwise recommended, the service at the table once you're inside is also completely fine.

Absolutely disappointing! The service was super unfriendly, especially the young waitress who made us feel unwanted. In addition, the prices are completely overpriced for what is on offer. Unfortunately, the food has nothing to do with authentic Thai cuisine - anyone expecting real Thai flavors will only be disappointed here. We are definitely never coming back!

The food was great, I've been here three times. This time I ordered a vegetarian dish and it tasted very good (photo attached). The prices are normal for the quality of the food and I will definitely visit this restaurant again. I find the restaurant relatively small but cute. This time I sat on the 1st floor, it's a bit quieter compared to the ground floor where you can already smell the smells from the kitchen. I think it's a shame that the restaurant's policy says that you only have to stay there for 2 hours and not longer (e.g. 2.5 hours) in case the restaurant needs the table for another reservation. You somehow notice the hectic pace behind this policy and you are afraid that you will somehow have to recover from everything in 2 hours. But it's still a good time for people who really don't want to stay there that long :) The team is nice, but at the end of the two hours we were obliged to pay and leave quickly so that the table could be prepared for the next one. We did notice the pressure from the waitress but as I said, overall it remains a good experience and I will definitely visit the restaurant again and would recommend it

I am a big fan of Thai cuisine, so we were thrilled to discover this dining spot for dinner. Our order included: - Tamarind Prawns - Khao Phad + Rind - Gaeng Kua The Tamarind prawns were delicious, the combination of tamarind sauce and deep-fried prawns created an exquisite flavour fusion. The Khao Phad was good, although a touch more flavor and spiciness would have elevated it further. The Gaeng Kua was also satisfying. To top it off, they had a selection of Thai beers that put a smile on my partner's face. :) The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, adding to the overall dining experience. Keep in mind that reservation would be necessary since the place tends to be consistently full.

The service was so good as well as the food. This was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. The portions are very fulfilling, we couldn’t finish our main courses and took them home. See you next time, thank you 🙏

One of the best pad Thai I ever had.

We sat outside, it's right next to the train station. You can't expect much there, but the atmosphere is very good. So nothing that can be done better. But I would make a reservation in the future and have that included. The food was very tasty (I overeaten a bit because I couldn't stop :D) Service was also very good, especially considering there were only two of them and the outside area was completely full

We went to this Thai restaurant for dinner this evening. It's pretty good, the service is pleasant, the decoration nice. no problem (apart from the horrible Frankfurt train station area). But when it comes time to pay, we are told a substantial amount which surprises me, but we pay. I then asked for the details of the bill and I realized, too late, that the waitress had given herself a more than generous tip without our consent! I understand that we expect to receive a tip when serving a service, but putting in an amount of €10.70 without asking for anything is called fraud, and it is extremely dishonest. In summary, I do not recommend this address, because even if the food is not bad, and the service is initially friendly, 1 the food is not worth the price, and 2 the waitresses are thieves. The worst part is that we would have tipped otherwise, but to be robbed like that... It's really disgusting. In Germany, tipping is not a due just like in France, and I understand that some people are malicious or never leave a tip but that does not give the right to steal from foreigners.

TohThong -mmmh :-(, unfortunately not as good as expected. We wanted to eat at a very good Thai/Asian restaurant but unfortunately the friendly service couldn't hide the food. We booked the restaurant based on the reviews. Unfortunately we can't I understand how the food could get these very good reviews. It's average at best, but that's about it. Greetings. We won't be back and we can't recommend it.

Very authentic and delicious Thai food. Unfortunately, some drinks such as certain wines or specialties were not available during our visit, but we still didn't die of thirst. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. The ambience right at one of Frankfurt's busiest intersections doesn't exactly invite you to sit outside. But inside is all the more tastefully furnished and cozy. Only the music was a bit too loud for my taste. Overall, I can fully recommend Toh Thon.

Best Pad Thai my friend and I have ever eaten (we have never been to Thailand). My friend said he would do anything to get the recipe from the chef. The curry was also very, very tasty. We'll go there again tomorrow for lunch. Service was very good. We felt comfortable.

As good as the food is, €25 for a plate of Pad Thai with the justification that "it also has shrimp in it" (4 pieces, you'll notice!) is quite a number. Then there's the fact that you have to wait a long time if you order food to take away. That's why I won't be visiting the store again. Very unfortunate! @Addendum I was just with you again and ordered the dish again just to see if what was written here was true and lo and behold, it wasn't true. I've now paid €22.80 and the food wasn't ready again, even though I said I'd come at a certain time.

The food is delicious, but we didn't like the atmosphere at all. The “background music”, which was very loud, was more reminiscent of going to a club. Of course the music is always a matter of taste, but you want to be able to talk while eating without shouting at each other. The homemade Thai iced tea was also very tasty, but unfortunately the pilsner was only available in bottles and not on tap.

Based on a recommendation, we went out to eat there and were very impressed with the food! Super delicious food. Prices are quite expensive but definitely worth it. Location is centrally located near the main station, but right on the street and therefore a bit noisy outside.

I was standing in front of the store between 10 suppliers for 20-30 minutes and was noticed but ignored. Although I had called ahead and reserved a table for 3 people. The lady came out several times and said the first time I would take her to her table and disappeared for 15 minutes then came out briefly and said something to the delivery person and ignored us. Then the mood was right and when I waited another 10-20 minutes we decided to go. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, I've only heard good things, but with service like this I won't come back a second time.

The service wasn't good. Drinks sometimes took over 15 minutes. 1 drink was ordered and not brought at all, but in the end it was on the bill. As always, the food was very good. The prices are sometimes overpriced. We were supposed to pay €10 for an Aperol spritz even though it said it was €9.50 on the menu. There were 4 of us and we ordered several Aperol spritzes and they came in different sized glasses. It was estimated that there was a difference of 50-100ml for the same price, which wasn't right.

Though the dishes were not bad, I prefer the shrimps without shells for pad Thai, and shrimps cooked little more for both Tom yam and pad Thai.

Very nice atmosphere, good service. We were informed several times whether everything was good and the food was amazing. Super tender meat and the perfect amount. The dessert with the fried bananas was delicious. All in all really great🥰

Were there on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. without a reservation. The young woman said she would help us and spoke to the boss, after all we could sit upstairs and eat. But 10/10 for the friendly employee. Food was summer rolls as a starter and curry and peanut chicken as the main course. Again 10/10 Price performance top. Friendly staff and air conditioning in the restaurant. When we are in Frankfurt again we will come again but with a reservation. Thank you

There are much better Thais in Frankfurt, we waited a long time for our food, but were compensated with an ice cream outside the house. Rice was mushy, soup not hot enough. Put Ellen in a bad mood about everything. Prices for Frankfurt are normal. General: no visit recommendation.

Cibo meraviglioso, in due abbiamo preso un antipasto vegetariano davvero eccellente, le salsine magnifiche. Anche la portata principale a base di pollo con salsa agli arachidi era da leccarsi i baffi.

The ambience is really cool and creates an Asian flair. You may want to consider installing a curtain as sun protection.

We were here for the first but definitely not the last time. Super delicious food and top service that you unfortunately only get very rarely. The house’s recommendations for sharing were also great. You just felt completely comfortable and valued as a guest.

For me the best Thai in Frankfurt! The food tastes fantastic and very authentic. I am a vegetarian and am well served by the selection of dishes here. The friendliness of the service should also be emphasized. The atmosphere makes you (almost) forget that you are near the main train station. Keep it up!☺️

I had a rather mixed experience when I had dinner at Toh Thong, a Thai corner restaurant in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel. The interior of the restaurant had little Thai flair. The background music wasn't Asian either, but rather techno music. However, the service was extremely friendly, nice and helpful. She gave me detailed information about the menu and recommended some dishes. Unfortunately, the food wasn't entirely convincing. The soup was warm, but the ingredients were cold. The mushrooms in it were dry and also cold. The pasta main course was okay, but the vegetables were very chewy, not exactly a culinary highlight. Although the food was freshly prepared, I wouldn't describe it as authentic Thai. The value for money was acceptable, but overall I wouldn't recommend Toh Thong as an authentic Thai restaurant.

**An absolute insider tip in Frankfurt!** Tho Thong is convincing across the board. The dishes are a feast for the senses – fresh, creative and excellently presented. Nice little restaurant within walking distance of the main station, not the best area, but absolutely okay for me, an old Frankfurter. Be sure to reserve, the number of tables is very manageable. Nice ambience, a bit too drafty near the door. Very friendly and attentive waitresses, surprisingly both Central Europeans. We had red coconut curry and crispy duck, both extremely tasty, pleasantly spicy, more than adequately portioned and served in less than 15 minutes. A highly recommended small resto with a very good price/performance ratio. We will be back ...

We order different types of beef noodles, the noodles are handmade and beef is fresh! The young boss is friendly! We will definitely come back to enjoy again!

Something like that can always happen, but unfortunately it was the second time yesterday and the next table was also badly eaten due to the long waiting time. Sorry, but it's not SO good that I'm waiting 90 minutes for my food. 🤷🏻‍♂️ We think that especially when customers notice that they haven't been there for a while because they were previously there relatively regularly, you simply have to create a better service experience. For customers who regularly and often contribute to sales and have already left a lot of money, you can simply have the drinks (in this case only 2 pieces) on the house as an appreciative gesture in the event of such a huge mistake. Especially when you notice that the guest is boiling inside - to calm them down and ensure that they come back and don't vent their anger on the internet. Keyword: customer satisfaction. The evening planned afterwards can be ruined as well as your good mood. When the food finally arrives, your mood is so spoiled that you just want to leave. So you wolf down the food quickly and then get relatively little of the enjoyment. So it doesn't matter whether the food is very tasty or not. Sorry, but you really screwed up with the number and definitely lost 2 good customers. Let this be a wake-up call before everyone migrates bit by bit because of this mistake. Yesterday I actually didn't want to tip on principle - also considering your super clever and great video on Instagram where you were condescending towards customers who hardly tip. I don't think something like that should be taken for granted, but as a waiter you should appreciate it if you get anything at all AND if it's only 1 cent. Someone just gives money like that? How can you not appreciate that? I mean, I assume that the waiter brings the food to my table in the restaurant and greets me in a friendly manner. It is the service surrounding the expected service that makes guests happy to tip. But if you publicly make fun of guests on the Internet who don't leave enough tips, then that seems to be a big problem for you. Then you can guess three times what your service is like compared to the standard service. 🙃🫠 You can't actually get clearer feedback from your own target group. If you don't just think about yourself and your own pocket, something like this usually stands out and is not just a wink with the fence post but with the entire fence. With this in mind, good luck for your future - unfortunately without us 👍🏼

We came for the Euro 2024 England game here in Frankfurt and we found this restaurant here on TripAdvisor. It was pretty booked when we arrived, but the wonderful hostess, Ermina, was so good at her job making sure no one was waiting too long. She was very attentive, helpful and had a very nice attitude. While hosting, she was also attentive waiting on people. She was always ready to help and made sure everyone’s experience at the restaurant was exceptional. Thanks, Ermina for the wonderful time spent at your restaurant. Aside from good food, service was excellent and the turnaround time for the food to arrive was pretty fast. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It is always busy, but with Ermina’s service, waiting time won’t be too long and worth waiting.
