Thai Express in Meppen

I often order sushi from there; the selection isn't huge, but the taste is okay. What really annoys me is how flexible the owners are with their opening hours. They say phone orders are possible until 8:30 pm, but that's not the case! Depending on their mood, they often stop answering the phone shortly after 8 pm. I find that very disappointing; it seems they don't value regular customers very much. You look forward to the food, and then you're bitterly disappointed.

A restaurant near the train station. The signs say: "There are no restrooms here," so that's a big minus. You order at the counter. The menu includes the familiar trio of Thai, Chinese, and sushi dishes. The atmosphere in the cool restaurant is, but it's clean. Cash only! So, that's the second minus.

I really enjoy getting food there. The service is always friendly.

I went to number 20a and number 1 and it cost 11 euros. The people are super nice and, most importantly, it's also nice and warm there.

I've honestly never eaten so badly. We're not used to messy food in the Netherlands. Never coming back here, it's a waste of my money.

Nothing special in terms of taste, but it's okay if you're waiting for your train. The peanut sauce just tasted like nothing.

The food is good. No toilets. Coffee just hot water and powder.

I ordered box 2 (breaded chicken). Chicken was very salty and the noodles were dry.....there was definitely no one here who bought anything at least an hour before me - it was empty at 4 p.m.

It's a small restaurant near the train station. 'There are no toilets here' is indicated on two placards. You place your order at the counter. Grab yourself a drink from the refrigerator. The menu features a well-known trio of Thai, Chinese and Sushi dishes. The operation is correct. The food comes on beautiful plates. For what you pay you get value for your money. It tastes great. But the atmosphere in the chilly restaurant means that you don't stay there longer than necessary. Only cash payment possible!

I think it's great and the food is great!

Food was really good, but he (owner) was just on his cell phone (FaceTime) 24/7 and was totally distracted and didn't want to understand that we only wanted one portion of spring roll, then 10 minutes later while we were eating he threw us out and closes his shop. While we were eating! Of course still on the phone (FaceTime)

The food is wonderful. For the first time in my life I liked sushi and I actually thought it was excellent. I'll be ordering sushi here more often now :)

Tiny restaurant with reasonable prices, although not such good value as the Thai over the road. The helpings were huge. Staff very low on concentration. The food is freshly prepared, but all seems very similar. I also had difficulty persuading the staff that I wanted spicy food, not European "bland". It was an interesting experience, but I will return. There are also no restaurant and they pay only cash.

Large portion, a bit weak in taste. The breaded chicken on the noodles has a really thick breading on it. All in all good.

Went there for dinner with my girlfriend today 😊. The food was also very tasty 😋. But what absolutely didn't work was the fact that it was just as cold inside as outside. In my opinion, eating there is not recommended, you can only sit there with a thick jacket!!!

The food with cheap price. However, the taste wasn't particularly special and there were a bit few vegetables. Tofu was a bit sour too, like staying put for so long

Fürn kleinen Imbiss am Bahnhof schmeckt das Essen richtig super. Hab mit langen Wartezeiten auf schlechtem Essen gerechnet, aber da lag ich falsch. Personal ist nett und Essen war in rund 7min fertig

Das Essen ist echt ok, Service durchschnittlich, ein typischer Restaurant im Bahnhofsbereich, positiv ist die Tatsache, dass man bestellen und abholen kann das Essen. Die Portionen sind leider klein, den großen Hunger kann man mit einer Portion nicht stillen

Hier kann man sehr lecker essen. Besonders wenn man essen abholt kommt es auch noch heiß Zuhause an. Sehr lecker und gut verpackt.

Essen kommt schnell, schmeckt frisch und sehr gut. Bediener ist freundlich. Gebratene Breitbandnudeln empfehlenswert 😊👍

Die Bedienung war bei mir schnell und es schmeckt gut. Die Preise sind OK. Aber mir fehlten einige Gerichte, daher sollte man vorher auf die Speisekarte schauen.

Man bekommt sehr viel für das was man zahlt! Salate werden immer frisch vor Ort zubereitet. Nudeln und Reis sind sehr lecker. Wenn man schnell etwas Asiatisches zum Mitnehmen braucht ist das in Meppen definitiv die erste Anlaufstelle. Leider gibt es kein Lieferprogramm. Komme gern wieder her.

Leckeres Essen, ich hatte eine Suppe und Nudeln mit knuspriger Ente wirklich gut. Auch sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Essen war lecker und reichlich und die Bedienung freundlich. Was mir persönlich für ein Imbiss mit vor Ort Verzehr fehlte war eine Kundentoilette für Gäste. Deswegen ein Stern Abzug

Mein absoluter Lieblingsasiate in Meppen 😋. Die Reisbandnudeln, das Gemüse und das Fleisch schmecken immer gut und frisch. Essen ist zudem schnell fertig und die Portionen sind groß genug. Kann ich nur empfehlen 🤩

Nun wollten Ihn eh mal ausprobieren den Thai Express und jetzt war es soweit Der Empfang etwas mäßig. Ambiente neu und Stylisch. Das Essen war soweit okay.. War alles frisch und würde sagen ohne Glutamat und Geschmacksverstärker. Essen machte Satt. Getränke in DB mit teilweise gepfefferten Preisen. Denn vieles kommt von Kaufland oder Edeka. Aber nun Ansonsten alles okay. Preis /Leistung gleich wie in anderen Asiatischen Geschäften. Was sehr interessant war als ein Besucher des Restaurants auf Toilette wollte denn das erste was der Chef dann sagte war echt cool und frech zu gleich "Das macht 1 €" hoppla nun 0,50 Cent würden es auch tun.

Waiting for my train on a Sunday night after the football. The food was good, very tasty, the staff were helpful. There were even powerpoints so I could plug in my laptop to charge. Food is also available to go and many people were doing that, as well as others dining in.
