Restaurant Murano in Meppen

Waited over an hour to order after asking several times, then waited another two hours for the food Service unprofessional Attempted mass processing Better focus on quality than quantity Hope the other 80% of guests who were dissatisfied will also rate this. This was the last time we were there. Addendum: it is not the first time we have had bad experiences. It is only the sum of these that has led us to this rating.

We chose the restaurant because of the good reviews for Valentine's Day and were unfortunately disappointed. We sat there for an hour without food until we had our first drink. The food came after 90 minutes (which we were apparently lucky with, because the people at the next table still hadn't eaten after 120 minutes). We then had to wait another 45 minutes for the second drink and we didn't even bother with dessert. The service was friendly and the food was OK.

Even though we had a reservation, we were put in an uncomfortable corner at the back, where we then had to wait 2.5 hours for our food. The staff has absolutely no idea what they are doing. You also eventually get drinks after asking several times and waiting an hour. The only plus point is that the food that arrives on the table after a 2.5 hour wait tastes very good. In any case, we will never come back.

Table ordered for half past six, waited twenty minutes to order drinks, restaurant was increasingly filling up. Drinks were forgotten and ordered again. Starter (bread with garlic sauce) came 15 minutes later. Our main course wasn't there even after 1 1/2 hours... Salad was then brought with the statement "Here's the salad." I then said, "It's fine, we've been waiting for our food for 1 1/2 hours! The waiter turned around without a word and left. We finished the drink and wanted to leave the restaurant. The food was then forced on us at the counter, refused, and told that we were leaving. It was pointed out that perhaps you shouldn't accept so many customers if you don't have the capacity didn't have to pay for drinks... BUT... there were several guests who didn't get any food and left the store, quite a few guests were really annoyed. Dear Murano team, you'd better just accept what you can handle, otherwise it'll be at your expense. Very annoying, especially on Valentine's Day, please rethink your concept!

Tonight here in the hall for the New Year's reception, the food is lukewarm but tastes good. The service is good, the ambience is oh-so-nice when you take a look at everything in peace, but a lot still has to happen

We were there on Boxing Day. The surprise plate was great. Delicious gyros and the steaks were medium. There were also massage tips from the service ;-)

We ordered a buffet for take-out on New Year's Eve and were very satisfied. The quantity was sufficient and all blackheads were very satisfied. The sauces and salads were fresh and super tasty.

Super great food and a great family atmosphere. There were 9 people there and our 5 year old son felt like a king. We'll be happy to come back every time we're in Meppen 👍🏼

We had dinner there with the family on December 26th. Before that, I had a lot of worries thanks to my stomach operation. But the food (Murano special soup) and the surprise platter were perfectly seasoned. The legumes in the soup had the right consistency and the meat was also cooked perfectly. It makes you sad that you live too far away and can't enjoy the soup regularly. The staff was also simply warm! Gastronomy is alive here. Hopefully for many more years to come!

When we are in Meppen we really enjoy eating there. The service is really great. Everyone is super nice and the food is great. There is a lot to choose from, so there is something for everyone. An absolute recommendation :)

Very disappointing. It was very crowded, so it's understandable that everything took a little longer. However, there is no reason to get something other than what you ordered and certainly no reason not to serve someone's dish at all. By the time it was noticed that it had simply been forgotten and it was finally brought to the table, everyone else had already finished eating. The food isn't bad, but there are other restaurants in Meppen where the food tastes much better. The service is not good.

Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. But it was also a Saturday evening.

We were visiting Meppen again and this restaurant was recommended to us so we went there. I have to say we weren't disappointed. The welcome was extremely warm, as if we had been regular customers for 20 years. The order was taken quickly and after 15 minutes we had our food. Small treats were placed on the table beforehand. The food was super tasty and also very plentiful. I think everyone will find something on the menu as it is very broad. The farewell was again very warm. When we are back in Meppen we will come back. We had our 3rd wedding anniversary and received a very friendly welcome. The table was very beautifully decorated. The ambience was simply great. The starter was great as was our main course. You can't do it better. We felt very comfortable. Everything just fit. It wasn't the first time for us and we can only recommend the restaurant. The farewell and reception were simply great and the whole atmosphere was great.

We had 2 identical dishes, both of which tasted different... and terrible... my friend spit out the salad after 3 seconds, only the delicious pizza rolls tasted very good

The food was very tasty. It was my husband's birthday that day and we were given a dessert platter. That was really absolutely great. But I still have one small negative point because I reserved a table on the terrace and when we arrived all the tables were occupied. We then waited until others had finished eating and were then allowed to sit down. Afterwards everything was perfect ;-)

We were there on October 3rd. Eating there and the service staff was extremely friendly, rarely experienced something so naturally friendly. The fries could have been a minute longer and weren't quite hot, but everything else was great and really tasty. We'll be back 😉

A nice restaurant in a central location in the Esterfeld district of Meppen. The restaurant's culinary focus is on Balkan and Mediterranean cuisine. There are dishes ranging from pizza to gyros as well as a selection of vegetarian dishes. The selection of dishes is large but there is something for every taste. The portion size is already designed for a very hungry person, so in most cases dessert is no longer suitable.

Very tasty food. The service was a bit overwhelmed as it was very busy. But still very nice and friendly.

Unfortunately, after a lovely evening with my loved ones on site, I had food poisoning after eating at your place. The meat from the Athens plate, true medium rere, which in itself wouldn't be a problem if it were fresh. The record is not recommended, the service is quite good.

As always, it was very tasty. The staff is very polite and accommodating. Definitely coming back.

We went to Murano for the first time today and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The first drinks arrived about 20 minutes after ordering, the starters took an hour to arrive, the pizza bread was absolutely overbaked, it no longer had the character of bread and resembled rusks in terms of taste and appearance. The soup came again 20 minutes later, also with burnt pizza rolls. The main course was served after a good 2 hours. The Hercules platters we ordered were simply bad, the rice wasn't cooked through, some of the rice grains were hard to chew, the meat was poorly cooked and was only served lukewarm. The two Hercules plates were returned, barely touched. We were compensated for the long wait with a large plate of ice cream/cake. Unfortunately, there was no proposed alternative for the Hercules plates that were complained about. After we were charged the full price of €25.50 per plate despite a complaint, we left the restaurant after 2.5 hours and drove back home hungry. But the staff was very friendly.

Very good cuisine. Excellent service. You can not ask for more. 5 stars are actually not enough. Update: I have eaten in many restaurants. Murano is by far the best. From the food to the warm service, absolutely top. Clearly number 1 in Meppen

We ate there with children and grandchildren. The restaurant itself is quite nice. The service is trying but not competent. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Gyros hard, the liver tough, the cheese a ready-made product, the casserole liquid. What really annoyed me personally was that the waitress promised the children ice cream several times. Of course they didn't get any ice cream from her. Since they believed this, we ordered it. Whether it was thoughtlessness or business acumen, I have no idea. But it remains negatively remembered.

The atmosphere, the ambience, the service, everything is super good and perfect, everything about the restaurant is very, very good, as is the hall for celebrations, Perfect is very highly recommended from my side ❤️

Perfect service and perfect platter for four people. We were treated wonderfully during the week.

First of all, what stood out here during my 3 visits in the last few months is definitely the service. From the first to the last minute, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and always trying hard. Top! Most of the main courses were also delicious. There is one but for me regarding the salad. The salad you get at the front doesn't actually fit in with the rest. It seems very bland and "cheap". Unfortunately, a few iceberg lettuce leaves neither make a good side salad nor a good base for a main course. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the salad with chicken that I ordered as the main course. I think a good side salad says a lot about a restaurant. You put so much love into your service, you can also put some in the salad. 😉 We'll definitely come back again, the rest was convincing for a nice family evening.

Very nice place you can also eat well The boss was also very nice, but the staff needs to be worked on. At the end we said that we would like to take it with us because there was still a lot left over and we would have actually gotten a nightcap, but both were completely forgotten after waiting 20 minutes for the packed food and 2 ouzo we just left.

I have to say I'm really disappointed with my last visit to our long time favorite restaurant. We have been there countless times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality of the food. But this time it was different. First of all, I have to emphasize that the prices here have always been on the higher side, but the food was usually worth it. However, this time when our food was served, I was really shocked at the portions on my plate. There was hardly anything on it! I honestly wondered if they forgot to serve some of my dish. For the price we paid I really expected more. As for the staff, the experience wasn't particularly pleasant either. Normally they were always friendly and accommodating, but that evening they seemed stressed and unfriendly. There was barely a smile, let alone a kind word. It was disappointing, especially since we had had so many positive experiences with the service there. Overall, I have to say that this visit to the favorite restaurant was a big disappointment. It's sad to see a place we once loved losing quality and service. I really hope they can raise their standards again, otherwise we will probably have to look for other options in the future.

Have been to Murano twice now. Once at a party in a really beautiful hall. There we were able to eat from a great buffet. Highly recommended for a celebration. Today we were there for dinner. Great atmosphere, super nice and friendly large team, menu from 4 countries, simply great. Our food tasted excellent. Served very quickly and friendly. We would be happy to come back. We were here with the company and ate and drank. The welcome was very friendly and the young man assigned to our table was also very personable. Everything went quickly, e.g. ordering drinks etc. Food was delicious, there were meat platters and vegetables on the table as a buffet. We would come back.

Eine Platte für 4 Personen bestellt. Leider sehr wenig ( kaum ) Gemüse und Fleisch drauf. Waren diesmal nicht zufrieden. Waren 4 Wochen vorher da ( 2023)und hatten eine Platte für 2 Personen bestellt, da war es vollkommen in Ordnung.

Tolles Lokal ,waren das erstmal da .😳 50 km Anfahrt die sich gelohnt haben ,werden dort auf jedenfall wiederkommen.😜 Vergessen Fotos zu machen 🙈 Filetsteak sehr zu empfehlen 👍

Wir waren zum Weihnschtsbrunch dort. Wer an Weihnachten gern Gyros und Tzsatziki isst, für den genau das Richtige. Wir hatten uns unter einem weihnachtlichen Buffet etwas Anderes vorgestellt. Der Service war nicht sehr aufmerksam. Es waren einfach zuviele Gäste. Das konnten die Kellner nicht schaffen.

Wir waren mit sechs Erwachsenen und vier Kindern an einem Adventssamstag um 18 Uhr bei Murano zu Gast. Die Bedienungen waren ungeschult, unfreundlich und überfordert. Bereits die Getränkebestellung stellte das Personal vor große Herausforderungen. Die bestellten Gerichte, die wir leider nur nach und nach und teilweise überhaupt nicht serviert bekamen, schmeckten sämtlichst fad und langweilig. Die beiden jüngsten Kinder unserer Runde hatten, bis wir das Restaurant wieder verließen, ihre bestellte Pizza trotz mehrfacher Hinweise überhaupt nicht bekommen. Diese wurden uns mit der Rechnung in Pizzakartons in die Hand gedrückt. Unser Fazit: NIE WIEDER!!! Wir hätten uns besser Essen aus der nächsten Pommesbude holen können…

Waren am 1. Weihnachtstag mittags zum Buffet-Essen da. Das Personal war total überfordert. Es dauerte etliche Zeit, bis man uns den gebuchten Tisch zuweisen konnte. Die Speisen am Buffet waren lauwarm bis kalt, trockenes Fleisch oder Speisen in lauwarmer Soße. So flatschige Pommes hat man uns noch niemals angeboten. Auch der Nachtisch war nicht lobenswert. Und das alles zum stolzen Preis von 35,90 € pro Person. Wir waren vorher schon einmal dort gewesen zum Abendessen nach Karte, da stimmte das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Deshalb hatten wir uns zu Weihnachten angemeldet, wurden jedoch bitter enttäuscht.

Vielen Dank für die kostenlose Verpflegung hungriger Einsatzkräfte. Wenn ich mal wieder nach Meppen komme bezahl ich auch für das leckere Essen! 1💙

Mir wurde dieses Restaurant von Bekannten empfohlen und das zurecht.Ich war mit meinen Freunden da essen und sowohl die Bedienung als auch das Essen, welches köstlich war, kam schnell zum Tisch.Hinzu kommt das die Arbeiter sehr höflich und nett sind.Dementsprechend empfehle ich dieses Restaurant jeden weiter, der sich hier nicht auskennt.5 Sterne verdient 🤩

Ich möchte noch mal danke sagen! Wir sind vom THW in Meppen gewesen um den Deich zu verstärken und das Hochwasser abzuwenden. Haben von euch für die Einsatzkräftete Pizzen, Frikadellen usw als Spende bekommen! Vielen Dank dafür! Das hat geholfen und war lecker!

Haben dort den Geburtstag von meiner Frau gefeiert. Es stimmte einfach alles.

Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Wartezeit an Weihnachten war kurz. Leider war das essen mittelmäßig, ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache. Das Gyros hat jedenfalls gut geschmeckt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt 👍🏻

Es war mal wieder ein zu Abend. Personal super nett und lustig drauf. Das Essen war super.

Leider war das Fleisch bei allen noch rosa, trotzdem war das Essen sehr lecker, der Salat könnte ein bisschen anspruchsvoller sein. Der Service ist zwar freundlich, aber ein bisschen zu aufdringlich am Anfang und am Ende wo das Restaurant gut gefüllt war, wurden wir vergessen und auch nicht mehr nach Getränken oder Nachtisch gefragt. Sonst ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes Restaurant.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön 8/10, der Service zufriedenstellend 7/10. Der Hugo schmeckt leider absolut scheußlich. Das Essen ist maximal mittelmäßig 5/10, die Preise aber angemessen. Das Klientel vor Ort benimmt sich teilweise sehr unangemessen, ist alkoholisiert, laut, obzön. Noch nie erlebt sowas.

Schönes Ambiente! Wir haben gekegelt und währenddessen das Essen für den Verzehr im Restaurant vorbestellt. Trd. leider über eine Std warten müssen, bis die Vorspeise serviert wurde,dann wieder halbe Std für die Salate und noch mal 30min. bis zum ersehnten Hauptgericht. Optisch sehr gut, geschmacklich bei 15 P. nur einer zufrieden. Teilweise essen kalt, stark verbrannt, nicht durch oder viel zu lasch gewürzt.. Personal ist freundlich und hat am Ende noch einen Absacker und Eis ausgegeben. Trd. ernüchterndes Erlebnis. Sehr großes Speiseangebot, als Tipp: Weniger anbieten und auf Qualität setzen. Alles Gute!

Einfach nur zu empfehlen, große Auswahl nd alles lecker.

Wir waren jetzt zum zweiten Mal im Murano und müssen leider sagen, dass es hier u. da immer noch nicht rund läuft. Wir hatten reserviert und sind ca 10 Minuten vorm Termin im Restaurant eingetroffen. Wir haben dann gute 5 Minuten vor der Theke gewartet, bis man uns doch nochmal beachtet hat. Nach kurzem Check hieß es dann, dass unser Tisch noch nicht frei wäre und wir noch warten müssten. In unmittelbarer Nähe waren allerdings 4 Tische frei - letztlich konnten wir uns dann dort setzen. Nachdem wir unsere Getränke bestellt hatten wurde auch zügig die Bestellung der Speisen aufgenommen. Diese wurden auch nach entsprechender Wartezeit - knappe 90 Minuten!!! - serviert. Die Gerichte waren OK, aber es fehlte der Pepp... Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist ansprechend und modern, die Sitzgelegenheiten sind gut und laden zum verweilen ein. Leider happert es bei den Tischen, viele Tische wackeln und müssen mittels Bierdeckel gestützt werden. Im großen und ganzen muss man sagen, es war OK aber da ist noch Luft nach oben...

Das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend . Leider mussten wir aufgrund des vollen Restaurants 90 Minuten auf unser Essen warten . Der Geräuschpegel ist aufgrund der Größe des Hauses relativ hoch .

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt , aber bis wir bestellen konnten hat es fast eine Stunde gedauert bis die Getränke kamen ist noch halbe Stunde vergangen und zum Schluss beim bezahlen hatte auch Ewigkeiten gedauert leider. Deswegen leider nur zwei von fünf Sternen.

Waren eine Gruppe mit 11 Personen, angemeldet für 18:30, erste Hälfte der Getränke nach einer Stunde, Rest nach einer Erinnerung nach einer weiteren 1/2Std. Folgende Bestellungen immer sehr lange Wartezeiten und vergessene Getränke! Speisenbestellung mit Vorspeise und Hauptgericht, lange Wartezeit… keine Reaktion. Angemahnt… Vorspeisenplatten für 8 Personen gebracht, ohne Berechnung als Entschuldigung. Weiter keine Reaktion, keine Getränke, kein Essen. Anmahnung, lange Wartezeit, essen wird für 10 Personen gebracht, eins wird vergessen und nach einer 1/2 Std. nachgebracht! Essen war gut! Getränke wurden wieder vergessen oder wenn überhaupt nur teilweise gebracht. Für einen geplanten Silberhochzeitsabend einfach nur unterirdische!

Waren hier um 19 Uhr . Sind um 21:30 wieder losgefahren ohne essen ! Sehr schlechte Organisation ! Richtig viele böse Gäste ! Nicht empfehlenswert!
