Hat sich in den so den Jahren wenig verändert, die Menu sind Fleischlastig, etwas mehr Seafood hätte mir gut gefallen! Ein Renovierung wäre auch mal schön!

Tolles Essen ,super frisch, gute Qualität

Die Einrichtung ist seit Jahren gefühlt nicht verändert, aber durchaus ok. Das Essen ist qualitativ auf gewohnt hohem Niveau, der Service gut, aber leider erheblich vom konkreten Personal abhängig.

Es war großartig!! Es wir direkt am Tisch frisch gekocht. Demnach ist natürlich viel Essensdampf im Laden wenn die Bude voll ist 🤗 Menüpreise sind für das was man bekommt auch sehr fair und es ist super lecker, man wird sehr gut satt!! Ein echtes Erlebnis!! :-)

Tolles Restaurant Konzept waren jetzt schon einige mal dort zu Gast. Jeder Besuch immer wieder ein tolles Erlebnis.

Leider ist das einst so tolle Restaurant äußerlich deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, könnte mal ein bisschen Farbe usw vertragen. Aber am Schlimmsten ist die mangelnde Sauberkeit. In den Toiletten klebt man am Fußboden, die Waschbecken und in den Ecken ist es dermaßen schmutzig, dass man nicht einmal Hände waschen möchte. Auch der Boden im Restaurant ist fettig. Gott sei Dank ist das Essen nach wie vor hervorragend, das Personal sehr nett. Bin behindert, eine Behindertentoilette gibt es leider auch nicht. So schade !

Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber unser Koch war doch sehr missmutig und hat das Essen nur zubereitet. Und beim Teppanyaki erwarten wir schon etwas von der Fertigkeit des Kochs zu sehen, ein bisschen Show gehört dazu.

Es ist wohl das “japanischte” Restaurant in Nürnberg. Freundliche und unaufdringliche Begrüßung und Service. Die Zubereitung der Speisen ist einfach professionell. Der Gargrad von Gemüse und Fleisch ist perfekt, speziell bei Steakgerichten. Bravo! Ein gelungener japanischer Abend!

Schönes Ambiente, tolle Köche und netter Service. Dachte es wäre etwas mehr „Show“ Küche leider aber nicht. Trotzdem war das Essen sehr gut und wir hatten einen schönen Abend.

Das Restaurant sieht von außen recht unscheinbar aus, dass Ambiente von innen ist jedoch äußerst einladend und was durch die Musik im Hintergrund nochmal unterstrichen wird. Ich hatte eines der Menüs das mit Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachspeise daher kommt. Sowohl die Bedienung als auch die Köche waren sehr Freundlich (Typisch Japanisch) und man hat sich von Anfang bis ende sehr gut gefühlt. Ist auf jeden fall einen besuch wert.

Ich hatte ein absolut fantastisches Erlebnis im Ishihara! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wurde ich so herzlich und freundlich empfangen – die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich hilfsbereit und strahlten eine so positive Energie aus, dass es richtig ansteckend war! Die Atmosphäre war einfach perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die individuelle Betreuung jedes einzelnen Gastes, die das Erlebnis genau auf die eigenen Wünsche abstimmt. Jedes Gericht war ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis und perfekt zubereitet. Das absolute Highlight des Abends war aber die Show. Die Künstler waren so talentiert und mitreißend. Wenn Sie einen Abend erleben möchten, der keine Wünsche offen lässt – persönlicher Service, hervorragendes Essen, fantastische Drinks und unvergessliche Unterhaltung – dann ist das Ishihara genau der richtige Ort für Sie!

The service was consistently attentive, professional, and friendly – ​​you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The restaurant's atmosphere is pleasant and stylish without feeling cluttered. The quality of the food impressed us in every respect: fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and a flavor that authentically conveys classic Japanese cuisine. The presentation of the dishes deserves special mention, as it is both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. The value for money is also excellent. Overall, a very positive experience that we gladly rate with five stars and highly recommend.

We went there with low expectations, but it was truly awful. I had noodles with vegetables and a gristly, thin piece of beef. My wife's was pretty much the same, but with rice. She only had bamboo shoots from a jar, a little onion, and two small mushrooms. My wife found the meat so gristly and tough that she didn't eat it at all. The final straw was the piece of ice cream, which I assume was from Norma (a supermarket chain) and that the "chef" had surrounded with alcohol to simulate flambéing. You can get something like that at almost any Asian takeaway, at least as good. The price is outrageous, but we had a voucher; otherwise, we never would have gone in. P.S. Our dog was happy with the leftover meat. He loves gristle.

Nice place and great value. We had the €55 four-course menu. Fresh and beautifully seasoned. The garlic dressing on the meat was stunning. 0.3L Sake for €7.60... value for money.

Despite having a reservation, I didn't get a table... No compensation, no birthday wishes for the person... Not recommended!

I've been going to Ishihara at least once or twice a year for over 30 years. Nothing has changed, except for the chefs. I haven't regretted it once. Delicious food, freshly prepared right in front of your table. Despite the seemingly simple ingredients, it's always very good. Service is on point! Prices are reasonable. A definite recommendation. Just keep in mind that you'll be seated next to each other. For larger groups, plan ahead and choose the right seat next to you. 😉

I ate here with my wife. The teppanyaki experience was truly special, and the food was truly delicious and of high quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant could use a renovation, and the food wasn't particularly outstanding, sophisticated, or creative. Therefore, in my opinion, the price range isn't quite right.

The Atmosphere was pretty nice, staff were friendly and ready to help out. You have a pretty big selection to choose from whether it was the food,wine or other side dishes. Food was fresh and delicious, obviously prepared right in front of you. Would recommend checking this place out.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Nuremberg, always extremely hospitable, service perfect, very cozy and the Teppanyaki (i.e. the preparation of the food directly at the table) cannot be topped. The lunch menu is now a bit expensive. -1*

Excellent food. The preparation takes place directly on the plate in front of the guests. Unfortunately, “the cooking action” was missing during the preparation. I was familiar with all sorts of tricks used by chefs.

We recently ate in this Japanese restaurant - the ambience is really great, you actually feel like you're in Japan. The welcome was warm and the service was very attentive at the beginning, which I would like to emphasize positively. Unfortunately, the food couldn't keep up with the first impression. The Wagyu came from Australia - unfortunately, based on my experience in Tokyo, there was no comparison in terms of taste. The sushi was also fresh, but overall rather average. My wife's veggie menu was not only very manageable, but also disappointing in terms of taste - and unfortunately it wasn't filling either. The dessert was particularly unfortunate: with a bill of over €100 you just expect something different, something special. Overall, the price-performance ratio was absolutely not right for us. I've had much better Japanese food in much larger cities. Another point: the seating arrangement. It would be nice if you didn't have to sit right next to each other - especially when it gets loud. This meant that a quiet, relaxed meal was hardly possible. Please don't misunderstand my comment - it's not meant in a bad way. I am giving this feedback out of disappointment, but also with the desire for you to develop further. Especially when you have high expectations and end up hungry, that's just a shame.

The food was delicious and very fresh, definitely worth trying. However, the restaurant’s interior needs serious renovation – cracked leather chairs and worn decor don’t match the quite high prices.

It was our first time here, the service was very friendly, but could have been more attentive when ordering drinks, for example. The food (there were four of us and we had different menus) was great - both in terms of quality, quantity and spice. The preparation of the food directly at the table is unique and was fascinating to watch, unfortunately the ventilation was rather poor - when we went out, all of our clothes simply smelled of fried food. Also the ambience, well... The place is a bit old and it is difficult to have a conversation because you are seated at the table with strangers and more or less next to each other. In general, we found the volume level to be uncomfortably loud; a normal conversation was not possible, also due to the unusual seating arrangement.

Being a Teppanyaki restaurant you can see very closely the quality of the ingredients which is great, the resulting dishes are therefore very good and tasty. We were there for lunch, the lunch menu includes a protein that you select and it comes with a little soup, a little salad, a little appetiser, vegetables and rice.

You should bring a lot of time and money (for our menu a good 2.5 hours / menus from 38€/42€/55€/65€ per person) but you won't be disappointed - the food was prepared directly at the table and the service is original

Ishihara is a real (I mean, ruled by real Japanese staff), nice and good restaurant in Nuremberg. You must try it if you like the taste of a true Japanese dish. The bad point is that if you don't take réservation days before you come, you have no chance to get a place. That's the price to pay for a good restaurant, after all.

The level and performance have developed significantly into the negative. The food is mediocre, but very expensive. The service is catastrophic and the atmosphere is old and in need of renovation. My experience with the restaurant was rather negative and I cannot recommend it. When I tried to give constructive criticism, I was clearly told that no one would care. €68 per menu and some drinks, a total of just under €400 for the evening... Result, an unfriendly chef who prepared one dish after another in short intervals - as soon as you asked to slow it down, all you got was " no". Furthermore, there was no “show” whatsoever that the restaurant was actually known for. Either the chef had a bad day or absolutely didn't feel like it. It doesn't matter what the reason was, it's not appropriate for this price segmented restaurant. Unprofessional and overpriced. Ergo: I recommend something else where the money is still valued and service comes first. Furthermore, I assume that people are now more concerned with arrogance than with customer satisfaction; but pride comes before a fall.

We go to Ishihara periodically for special occasions. The food is still very good. However, the chef does his job almost emotionlessly while preparing food at the table. This in particular used to be a fun experience. The restaurant now seems very dusty, the floor in the toilet sticks, cobwebs in display cases, the whole furnishings seem worn out. Apparently nothing is being invested here anymore. You pay a very good price, but the overall package no longer quite fits. Too bad!

Food and live cooking was great. The waitress provided good and friendly service. We were a group of 8 people. Unfortunately, since the table was shaped like a U, it wasn't possible to talk to everyone.

Ate the best steak of my life there, Koben steak. And the atmosphere was really warm. The chef and the other service staff took care of a really cozy atmosphere. My husband was also very happy with his Fuji menu. Absolutely a MUST for Japanese cuisine lovers. It was worth traveling to Nuremberg specifically for this reason.

This very good Japanese restaurant has had a tradition in Nuremberg for decades. The dishes are prepared with typical Japanese care using the best raw materials. There was even Kobe beef today, although I'm a bit skeptical as to whether it was actually original Kobe, it looked more like Wagyu. But the taste was fantastic, we enjoyed it. I would happily recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

The best reason for a stopover In Nuremberg. All five courses were perfect. The chef was an absolute master of his craft.

The restaurant hasn't changed in 20 years. It has now become very unkempt and dingy. Our cook also did his job more with hardship than with joy. A visit used to be an experience. It's a shame that it's no longer like that. It has become too expensive for that.

Delicious, high quality food, friendly staff and boss. Been going to ishihara for years. Prices haven't really increased since Corona. Been to Japan a few times and it's definitely authentic. And another real Japanese, where there are only a handful in Nuremberg. Ishihara is something special and anyone who appreciates it will feel comfortable there.

Wonderful place with delicious food that has retained its character and menu for at least 30 years. Teppanyaki in its pure form with high-quality ingredients and little chichi. The menu prices are reasonable and the experience is unique!

I recently went to this Japanese restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed. The food was not fresh and not authentically Japanese. The staff wore dirty clothes and appeared to have a cold, which made me feel uncomfortable. They didn't seem to care about hygiene and at the same time served us without any shame. Later, me and my husband started having stomach ache which made our experience worse. For the price of €300 for four people, that was definitely not acceptable. We definitely won't be coming back.
