Wir essen immer wieder hier, wenn wir in Kassel zu Besuch sind. Auch ohne Reservierung wird immer ein Platz für uns gefunden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Auch die kleinsten Besucher bekommen die volle Aufmerksamkeit. Das Essen ist immer sehr hochwertig, frisch und lecker. Fleisch und Fisch wird auf den Punkt zubereitet. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Met by chance. Nothing special from the outside but a very good selection of dishes inside. Tzatziki and wine are very good. Modern atmosphere and very nice staff. I've enjoyed going back several times since then.

A real highlight! The Greek cuisine is fresh and authentic - the gyro plate and the tzatziki are particularly delicious. Outstanding service, great ambience and fair prices make the visit perfect. Highly recommended!

We were there yesterday with a group, well the menu says 'whiskey', I specifically ordered Jack Daniels but you only get a ballentine, gyros in Metaxa sauce was just a gyros with cream sauce and gratinated cheese! It didn't taste like Metaxa sauce!! You really feel cheated and the Russian service was far from friendly, if you want to be taken for a ride you go to Plaka, otherwise there are certainly other restaurants in Kassel that respond better and friendlier to their guests and you can do that too you get what you order!! It's definitely not the case here, especially since I feel cheated by it. I'm really extremely annoyed, as I had 2 gyros of which 1 gyro arrived wrong twice! It was ordered in the classic way but it arrived twice with fried onions, 2 maphrodaphne, 1 large water, 1 Cola and 4 Jacky ordered, but Ballentine which was foisted on me was a proud 84 euros?! Which wouldn't be a problem if you got what you ordered!!! The service would have been friendly and the young man would have been able to take the order better, the food was lukewarm to cold except for the corners that were lying directly on the bottom of the pan because you burned your tongue, the top was much too cold, that's probably it It was a while before the other orders came in/were ready! All in all, I feel more than ripped off!!! Never again, I can get rid of my money where you are treated with more friendliness and you get what you order, here that is not the case, I will never set foot in this rip-off shop again!!! !!!!

I've been driving by there twice a day for years and would never have thought of eating there. Came across this while looking for an alternative to the closed “favorite Greek” and loved it! The cuisine, service and ambience are excellent - and we deliberately ordered highlights from our Greece road trips from the menu. Again and again in the future!

A really very tasty Greek. Marco and team are great hosts. Never eaten a gyro so juicy and seasoned like this. The ambience in the restaurant and on the terrace is also great. Anything that rhymes is good. It used to be said. But here it is still like that today. Always happy again.

Oh dear....ok, let's start with the positive. We had ordered take away and the food was very timely. The restaurant also looks much better inside than from the outside. But the food... Yes, I realize that takeout over 15 minutes isn't ideal. I don't see that as a negative for a restaurant. But the food was still terrible. Let's start with the salads. No, a salad isn't gone after 10 minutes. But after 2 days already. And that is a positive estimate. The lettuce was practically rotten. You can't give something like that to a customer. We also had a filet plate. All pieces of meat were burned. All! No, not cooked, burned. Do you know jokes about the “Spice of the Blessed”, you can find out about them here. Two of our dishes came with fries, which we have almost every time. You would think that with that throughput the fries would be perfect. They weren't. The tips were black like old fat (that's how they tasted) and the rest was soggy. The fries were not seasoned. Like the tzatziki. Usually this is more than over-salted quark with leftover cucumbers. The gyro was soggy. There was also a kind of vegetable and potato mix with the fillet plate. What sounds delicious has apparently been lying around in the display for at least a few hours. So it was lying around, cooked and covered in fat, slowly rotting away. Tasty is a little different. All in all: We won't be coming back. We paid almost €100 for 3 people and 90% ended up in the trash can because it couldn't even be saved. This is too extreme!

Great service and very tasty - everything was freshly fried and therefore juicy. It would be nice to have some tzatziki ON the grill plate.

How does a restaurant that can't even buy good fries or prepare them properly get 4.6 stars? A plate of meat costs a whopping 25 euros. A gyro plate 17.50 euros. The taste is satisfactory to sufficient, but the price is 30% too high.

Food was very simple. It took a very long time until we got our drinks. Ordering something took a very long time until the waitress noticed that I wanted to order. The only thing that was very good was the tzatziki, which was very tasty.

We were on a short trip to Kassel and wanted to go out for dinner not far from the hotel in the evening. The rather inconspicuous restaurant turned out to be a good choice. The weather was great and we sat outside and ordered all kinds of food. Everything tasted good. Service was quick and eager, but a bit taciturn. Thank you for the good food. Ambience only three stars because the terrace is right on the main street. But it was made up for by the food.

How can a restaurant owner go on vacation for two weeks and not indicate on Google Maps that his restaurant is closed, like everyone else does? Today I drove from Baunatal to Kassel and am standing in front of a closed door 😡😡

We ate at the Plaka tavern on our 34th wedding anniversary. My wife had the calamari and I had the grill plate 2. The food and service was top. I can only recommend it.

Mega tasty and super fresh everything. Great service, our special thanks go especially to Marco, and the other employees also do a great job. We will always come back here and have often eaten here 😁😁😁 Today we ate something completely different because it was so warm and we chose different starters. The bread that is served with it is homemade and, like everything else, tastes great. Many thanks to Marco who accompanied us through the evening with a lot of humor 😊

Great location with attentive staff and delicious food. The service has small weaknesses, but is consistently attentive and friendly. The menu offers enough choice for everyone and impresses with its imaginative dishes. The food is perfectly seasoned and prepared. Maybe too oily for some, but that's a matter of taste. The terrace is cozy and you have something to “look at” through the busy infrastructure. The ouzo after dinner rounded off the evening and we will definitely be back. Thanks

1. Shortly after ordering, the main course arrived. Bad sign that it's freshly made. That's what it tasted like in the end. Dry gyros and everything else probably from ready-made bags. 2. the waitress asked if everything was OK. When the answer was “it’s fine” the question was emphatically asked what was wrong! Upon requesting another glass of water. The glass was slammed snidely on the table. 3. After complaining to the owner, we were given a small bottle of wine and a friendly excuse as an apology. You can't say anything negative about the nice gentlemen.

What a lovely team and what delicious food. Dishes containing gluten are advertised first-class and everything is very tasty and fresh. The tzatziki is a dream 😍 We sat on the terrace. A lot of things were reserved, so we would definitely reserve in advance on our next visit. The terrace is right on the street - but in Greece this is the top location! Always where life is. Probably the best tavern in Kassel and the surrounding area. The host family is very friendly and you feel extremely comfortable. When the weather is nice, the terrace offers excellent seating, despite being on the street. A visit should be mandatory.

We have been coming back to Plaka for many years. Over the years, the service has remained consistently friendly and customer-oriented, although a little too personal, as some of my companions said. However, this aspect is subjective so it does not have a negative impact on the evaluation. What has been getting worse for a long time, however, is the noise level of some guests. Something should definitely happen here because the rooms are extremely noisy and some happy groups quickly become disruptive. Especially when there are screaming babies involved. I am also critical of the kitchen. Unfortunately, during the last three visits we were always served with very dry or cold meat. The starters in my case "Rolla" used to be much better. I don't know what it is or if it was bad luck. But overall, the Plaka tavern has unfortunately lost a lot of its original shine.

Delicious food, friendly staff even with many guests, very good allergen labeling on all menus - many others can't even begin to manage that. Gladly again! :)

The 4 of us were there for the first time last night. The food was very good, the service was very nice and accommodating and special requests were also taken without rolling your eyes or anything like that. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back there!

Very good Greek cuisine. There were four of us there. Also had appetizers. The food came very quickly and we enjoyed it very much. The food was nicely prepared and warm. We had a spot outside under a heat lamp. I find it a bit noisy and too modern inside. Could be a little more comfortable and the acoustics a little better. The prices are rather high but these days they are almost back to normal. You just have to spend a little more for good food. Staff very friendly. Next time I'll definitely take photos of the food. Come back soon!

It was always very tasty! The service is exemplary, that has to be mentioned. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I've eaten there several times and it's always been delicious! There are parking spaces behind the house. However, it is best to order in advance as the restaurant is very busy. Absolutely deserves the stars!

So eine tolle Überraschung: Dieses Restaurant liegt in einer eher unattraktiven Gegend an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße. Doch die Einrichtung, das Ambiente und auch die Terrasse sind Top. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und das Essen war ein Gedicht: Ich wusste nicht das griechische Küche so fein und facettenreich sein kann. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgesprochen günstig. Kurzum: Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Wir sind spontan Sonntags hier eingekehrt, haben noch einen Platz auf der geschützten und überdachten Terrasse bekommen. Sehr aufmerksame Servicekräfte, sehr leckeres Essen. Kommen gerne wieder!

Hätte man in einem griechischen Imbiss für die Hälfte bei gleicher Optik bekommen. Ambiente ist eher "modern". Außenbereich ist sehr laut an der Straße. gelegen.

Vamos ... lass uns gehen! Kann leider nicht verstehen, diesem Restaurant eine 4,6 Sterne Bewertung zu geben. Personal sehr freundlich, aber nicht Aufmerksam - voller Aschenbecher auf dem Tisch (wir sind Nichtraucher) wurde erst nach meiner Aufforderung entfernt. Gläser standen offen auf dem Tisch - sehr unhygienisch! 2 x Gyros-Teller Nr. 50 und eine Flasche Wasser für 39,90 EURO sind definitiv zu teuer. Also pro Gyrosteller 16,50 EURO stehen nicht zur Speise im Verhältnis, Pommes nicht knusprig frittiert, eher wabbelig - also war das Fett nicht heiß genug! Dafür war das Gyros schön trocken .... Lobenswert war, das uns nach dem Essen ein Ouzo angeboten wurde - leider war es zu Früh und zu heiß dafür.

Das Plaka hat mit als Neu-Frankfurterin absolut positiv überrascht. Das Essen war toll und der Service familiär und auf Zack. Die Bezeichnung „Taverne“ ist hier absolut treffend, denn der kleine Laden hat nur ungefähr 20 Plätze im Innenbereich und drei an der Theke. Wir sind sehr freundlich begrüßt worden und die Freundlichkeit der Inhaberfamilie zog sich durch den ganzen Abend. Zuerst haben wir uns eine gemischte Vorspeisenplatte mit verschiedenen Cremes, Feta-Röllchen und gebackenen Zuccinischeiben und leckerem Brot geteilt. Als Hauptgang hatte ich die gegrillten und gefüllten Calamari, die auf den Punkt gegrillt und sehr zart waren. Wie du siehst, gab es weder völlig überladene Teller noch eine riesige Portion Pommes dazu. Das hier das Augenmerk auf Qualität gelegt wird, hat man dem Essen einfach angemerkt. Preislich liegt man hier deswegen auch im gehobenen Bereich, aber weit entfernt von unbezahlbar. Wir haben für 3 Personen 95€ (mit Trinkgeld) gezahlt. Das Vanillehalvas zum Nachtisch hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Hier gehe ich auf jeden Fall nochmal hin. Yamas!

Das Essen war vorzüglich, die Speisen frisch und lecker. Die Vorspeisenplatte konnte ohne Probleme abgeändert werden und die Hauptspeisen waren mehr als ausreichend und super lecker. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in der Nähe werden wir dieses Restaurant jeder Zeit wieder besuchen,denn der Service war excellent und sehr zuvorkommend.

Wir waren mit 18 Personen da, es stimmte einfach alles. Auch wenn es von Außen nicht sehr schön aussieht, ist es dafür von Innen super. Ob Vorspeise oder Hauptgericht, beides sehr lecker. Angenehme Atmosphäre, nettes Personal.

Von Aussen sehr unscheinbar, aber von Innen sehr angenehm und gepflegt. Wäre nie in dieses Restaurant gegangen, wenn der Geburtstag nicht gewesen wäre. Das Essen war geschmacklich super. Das Personal sehr freundlich und witzig. Der Chef locker und lässig. Die Toiletten super sauber. Sehr empfehlenswert und ich werde öfters jetzt dort erscheinen.
