Very good Greek restaurant in an upscale category and a good ambience.

We were just in Kurhessen Sauna, just around the corner. Afterwards we landed hungry in Ilsyssia. I wanted my standard gyros with fries, but they don't have gyros. But the alternatives were also very tasty. The staff was very friendly, even shortly before closing. Food great. People friendly. Ambiently pleasing. We really enjoyed our visit.

We spent our Valentine's Day there. It's a very good restaurant. The food was great as was the service and the ambience.

Totally exorbitant prices, the first time in my life, I'm 55 years old, that I didn't get enough at a Greek restaurant, grill plate where it says 300 grams, I think it's meat but that's at the restaurant with a plate and side dishes. 2 people €83.50 and then we went out to eat. The prices are on the menu, so I thought they could do something, but unfortunately that's not the case.

Total Überzogene Preise. Das erste mal im Leben das ich beim Griechen nicht satt geworden bin und einfach Überzogene Preise, 83.50 € bezahlt für ein Niveau, was max. 30 € entspricht. Wirklich noch nie si schlecht gegessen und wir gehen mindestens 2x im Monat Essen.

Ich habe selten so ausgezeichnet und lecker gegessen und auch der Service war herausragend - was meines Erachtens die gehobenen Preise durchaus rechtfertigt. Einzig die ungünstige Akkustik zumindest im Anbau war ein kleiner Nachteil für unseren ansonst zutiefst zufriedenstellenden Aufenthalt...

Rarely have we eaten such an excellent and delicious meal - very upscale, fine cuisine - and the service was also outstanding. Overall, in my opinion, this justified the high prices. The only thing that is a small disadvantage for a private evening is the unfavorable acoustics, at least in the extension...

We were 4 adults and a child. Everything was perfect for us, from the greeting to the farewell. The food was great. There was sea bass, octupus and biftiki (here it was very nice to see that it was not a normal dish, the eye is with. We'll be back

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestsurants! Ich bin seit über 10 Jahren Stammgast. Umso enttäuschter war ich bei meinem letzten Besuch am 1.11.: Die ehemals gemütliche Bestuhlung im Wintergarten wurde durch platzsparende Plastikstühle ersetzt. Der griechische Bauernsalat (bisher mit kleinen Gurken, Oliven, Kapern und gerösteten Brotstückchen eine Delikatesse) war ein Aller-Welts-Salat - zum selben Preis. Und die Bedienung war freundlich, aber unprofessionell. Schade.

We were in this "Greek" restaurant on September 29th, 2024. Personally, we were disappointed because we imagine something different when we think of a Greek restaurant. The selection of Greek dishes didn't convince us.

Six of us were there for dinner as part of a business trip. The ambience is modern, yet cozy, with a pleasant lighting concept. The service in general, Agnes in particular, is very attentive, fast and friendly. We felt very comfortable! The food is top quality, delicious and worth every cent! Clear recommendation!

Die Location ist wirklich sehr schön und die Toiletten sind sehr schön dekoriert. Sie haben einen zweiten Stock und einen Art Wintergarten. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr freundlich. Sie sind selbst auf extra Wünsche eingegangen. Ich habe mir die Trüffelpasta ohne Trüffel bestellt und der Chef hat nochmal drauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass in dem Gericht Trüffelöl ist. Er hat den Vorschlage gemacht mit einer Buttersoße und Parmesan und hat mir somit etwas anderes als auf der Karte steht gezaubert. Daher gehen sie wirklich auf die Gäste drauf ein. Das Essen hat wirklich geschmeckt. Das Dessert „Hefebällchen mit Honig und Vanilleeis“ war wirklich lecker und ist definitiv zu empfehlen. Allem in allem war es ein wirklich schöner Besuch!

The restaurant was recommended to us as very good. Unfortunately we were very disappointed! At the beginning we were immediately forgotten and only received the menus when we asked. We got the bottle of water at some point, but we had to ask again for the glasses. The wine for the main course only came upon request… And then you didn't even get an ouzo after dinner... The whole thing for 2 people for 130€… not recommended!

Celebrated with 30 people. Nice ambience, service more than attentive, food absolutely first class, Greek wines, etc. really recommended. Prices absolutely reasonable. We'd love to come back.

Extremely disappointing experience. I booked this restaurant for my birthday, expecting it to live up to its reputation for high-end Greek cuisine and ambiance, but it fell far short. The service was abysmal, with an incredibly long wait just to take our order, followed by what felt like an eternity for the food to arrive. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived, and they seated us next to the bathroom on my birthday. We were served by three different people, including one woman who had her hair down, which almost ended up in the food she was carrying on her arms. As for the food, it was a major letdown, at least for my order. We tried some entrées (olives, sardines, and shrimp). The olives were overly salty and not something I would recommend. The sardines were the worst—they were served straight from the can with no plating, which is unacceptable given the menu prices. The shrimp, however, was quite good. For the main course, I ordered fish with mashed potatoes, which was served on top of a green sauce, as shown in the picture. The mashed potatoes were completely bland, the fish was dry, and the sauce didn't help as the entire dish was cold and flavorless. The atmosphere was the only redeeming factor, but even that was spoiled by terrible lighting that made us feel like we were in a coffin later in the evening. All in all, I will never return here, and I recommend thoroughly researching any restaurant before booking it for an important event. Definitely not worth the price.

Ich war mit 2 Freunden in dem Restaurant zum Abendessen. Die Qualität der Speisen war top, aber unsere Bedienungen, Agnes und Yásmine haben einen Job gemacht, den man einfach nur Spitzenklasse nennen kann. Wir waren super zufrieden.

VERY small portions and outrageously expensive. You have to look for the mashed potatoes under the mini steak (no joke! - at first I thought it had been forgotten or came separately). You can also see some of it in the photos posted here. You won't get full unless you have an appetizer with it. Then you're at €40-50 per person. But after all, it's not a "starred restaurant"! If that's what I want, I'll definitely go somewhere else. I've rarely left a restaurant hungry, but that was the case here. The waitress was VERY pushy and asked us at least four times within 20 minutes if we would like something more to drink. This no longer has anything to do with good service, it was simply penetrating! Only when we told her that she shouldn't ask anymore did she calm down. Pretty ugly. I was very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

Super friendly and nice staff. The food is freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Everything we ate was delicious and had the perfect consistency and seasoning. We can recommend the tartare, the starter with the various dips, the ribs and the Kritaraki noodles. There is a good selection on the menu and something for everyone. The ambience is great and the decor is totally modern. We can only recommend the restaurant. Of course, the restaurant is part of the upper class in Kassel and it is not without reason that it has only great reviews.

Lovely ambience, attentive service and classy venue. Extensive wine list with many food options on the menu. All the food was flavoursome, tasty for sure. However the main course was too salty for me, both the moussaka and seasonal vegetables were cooked with too much salt for my personal taste.

Das Ilyssia ist ein sehr ansprechend gestaltetes griechisches Restaurant. Der Service ist bemüht, jedoch mit deutlichem Spielraum zu professionell. Das Essen schmeckt, die Portionen sind aber so überschaubar, dass man nicht satt wird. Vollkommen überteuert sind jedoch die Preise - sowohl für die Speisen als auch für die Getränke. Hier hat das Ilyssia jedes Maß verloren, so dass man das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nur als grob unangemessen bezeichnen kann.

Sehr freundliches und angagiertes Personal, gehobene griechische Küche im höheren Preissegment. Ambiente zum wohlfühlen, allein die Parkplatzsituation ist recht schwierig. Empfehlenswert!

Super schön eingerichtetes Lokal und unglaublich leckeres Essen. Der Service ist auch hervorragen. Es liegt preislich im mittleren Bereich, aber lohnt sich definitiv. Ich kann besonders die Zucchini-Puffer und die Trüffelpasta empfehlen!

Guten Abend, mein Mann und ich waren soeben dort essen und wir müssen wirklich sagen es war alles perfekt. Sehr angenehmes Ambiente, der Service ist perfekt sehr freundliche Damen und Herren. Das Essen war sehr lecker von der Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgericht und das Dessert, alles war sehr schön serviert und sehr lecker. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter.

Alles Top-Qualität und geschmackvoll angerichtet. Die Dips als Vorspeise waren ganz besonders lecker.

Von Vorspeise bis Dessert : es war wirklich einfach fantastisch! Nicht nur, dass es wirklich durch und durch wunderbar geschmeckt hat, sondern dass auch der Service einsame klasse war! Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und können Ilyssia nur weiter empfehlen!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Preislich aber oberstes Segment, dafür war es dann nur gut. Abräumen während noch gegessen wird ist leider sehr störend. Musik war sehr laut, wurde aber auf Bitten hin leiser gestellt. Wenig typisch griechisches Essen. Gute Getränkekarte.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, in diesem Restaurant zu speisen, und ich kann ohne Zweifel sagen, dass das Essen außergewöhnlich war. Die Aromen waren perfekt abgestimmt, die Präsentation war ansprechend, und der Service war erstklassig. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss, und ich freue mich schon darauf, bald wiederzukommen, um mehr von ihren köstlichen Gerichten zu probieren. Ein echtes kulinarisches Erlebnis!" Gerne wieder.

Als wir um 21:45 Uhr das Lokal betraten, musste erst einmal in der Küche geklärt werden, ob wir noch etwas zu Essen bekommen.Das Essen kam zeitnah und war auch sehr gut. Leider gab es bei der zwieten Weinbestellung ein Problem. Ich hatte einen Naoussa bestellt, bekam jedoch einen Primitivo, den meine Begleitung vorher getrunken hat. Um seitens der Bedienung zu prüfen, wurde an beiden Gläsern geschnüffelt. Ein no go. Als sich um 23 Uhr das Laokal langsam leerte, wurdern wir durch aktives aufräumen ann den Nachbartischen darauf hingewiesen, dass es Zeit zu gehen ist. Schade.

Wirklich bisher immer ein Volltreffer. Großartiger Service, großartiges Essen - jedes Essen ein echter Genuss. Schon das Brot vorab lohnt den Besuch :-)
