Funny story. I lived in Rothenditmold for 20 years and have never been here. Now I was visiting Kassel and my friend said there was a very good gyros here. In short, we stopped and ordered a gyro plate to take away and what can I say. It was actually one of the tastiest gyro dishes I've ever had. The meat, juicy and crispy at the same time, the tzatziki was for the gods, very garlicky and super fresh! Even the fries were probably homemade, in terms of taste and cut! There was also Nen Ouzo to sweeten the waiting time a little! Thank you very much for your excellent gyros! I was more than just thrilled and I was also really full. Top!!!

Just a great shop with very nice and competent service. The food is great and you're happy to pay a few euros more.

The food tasted good! The Metaxa sauce is a poem. After the initial “reluctance”, the service was extremely good, attentive and friendly/funny! Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a bit “rustic” and the prices are at the upper end. Gyros without extras €18 seems too expensive to me. You can also charge for a shot of ketchup - but you don't have to.

We were there with a large group and the restaurant was very busy. It took a little longer for the food to arrive, but it was brought earlier for the children. And it was worth it! The food is great. I had the baked gyros with Metaxa sauce. A dream! Everyone else also thought it tasted good/very good. The vegan dishes were also very tasty. The waitresses were also very nice and friendly. It is recommended and we would be happy to come back.

Nice and attentive hosts, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, everything ok. The Greek of our choice. Finding parking is sometimes difficult. The restaurant/toilet is on the ground floor, if I remember correctly there is only a small step on the door, I think it is suitable for wheelchair users.

First of all, a huge compliment to the service! We received a very warm welcome and people constantly asked about our well-being. Right from the start, my nephew was given crayons and paper to paint with. The order was taken in no time. A few minutes later the starter arrived. There were four of us there and we were warmly welcomed. The gyros were deliciously seasoned and pleasantly crispy. For us, however, the pieces of meat could have been cut a little more finely. The fries were fresh and homemade. The tzatziki was also prepared fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is right.

We were there in the evening and had reserved. Great ambience, super friendly and courteous staff. The food was delicious and the price was completely reasonable. Even special requests are no problem. Very child friendly. We would like to come again

Unfortunately, we were more than disappointed with today's visit. Were here several times last year, but today was the highlight. The food only came after 1:15 hours, that's way too late! 2 drinks (soft drinks) were non-carbonated and tasted stale or mixed with leftovers, which is not possible at all. As I said, food arrived over an hour later, was lukewarm, the gyros and fries were almost cold, one dish was with fish that was completely oily. During this whole time, with waiting etc., we weren't even asked if we wanted new drinks etc., which is a shame! In the end, it wasn't a nice evening at Achilles and our birthday dinner was a mess. It's a shame that this restaurant has gone down so badly, we'll definitely not be coming back!! On top of that, it was extremely loud in the restaurant that you could hardly understand your own words. It's a shame, Team Achilles, you used to be better! 👎🏻

My gyro go-to for over 40 years. Recently changed ownership, But don't worry: I was there again today Great food still. Delicious fried onions on the gyros. This super juicy, spicy - but not too spicy, like tzatziki I think it could be a little more knotty. Price/performance fits. Very nice, attentive and friendly service. As usual. We continue to remain loyal.

Naja also das Essen war wirklich nicht toll. Es war lauwarm und sehr schnell da. Konnte mir nicht vorstellen das es frisch gemacht worden ist. Ich hatte Hähnchen Spieß und es war wirklich ekelig. Ich habe es stehen Gelassen. Beim alten Besitzer war das essen wirklich lecker und toll aber bei dem neuen Besitzer katastrophal. Service war wirklich sehr nett. Preis Leistung wirklich zu teuer.

Guten Tag ihr hungrigen Leute, die ihr nach gutem Essen sucht, zuerst wurde mir vor ca einem Jahr dieses Restaurant empfohlen. Nun hatte ich endlich die Gelegenheit gefunden für eine kulinarische Reise. Ich bin extra 250 km gereist, nur um wenigstens ein Mal in diesem Restaurant zu essen. Jetzt muss ich gestehen, dass sich die Anfahrt gelohnt hat! Eine sagenhafte Komposition mit Fisch, Hühnchen, Schwein und unzähligen Beilagen hat meinen Gaumen entzückt. Die Liebe, mit der die Gerichte gekocht wurden, konnte man klar heraus schmecken! Alles war stimmig und hat zueinander gepasst! Sagenhaft! 🤤 P.S.: Da schuldet mir noch jemand ein Dessert. 😉

Schönes Ambiente, kühl temperiert. Service super freundlich!! Leider war auf dem Grillteller eine Fleischsorte Innen roh und konnte komplett nicht gegessen werden. Darauf wurde nur insofern reagiert, dass man das "beim nächsten Mal besser macht". Da hätten wir für die Preise mehr erwartet. Ansonsten geschmacklich super.

Bin enttäuscht 😔 wurde mir schon soooo viel von berichtet aber leider nicht das was ich erwartet habe

Hier kocht der ''Papa'' selbst.Deshalb kann er auch Auskunft geben was drin ist. Falls man etwas nicht verträgt. Waren 2 schöne Abende in unserem Kurzurlaub.Sehr zu Empfehlen. Tisch Reservierung geht online Ruck zuck. Macht weiter so.

Metaxa schmeckt herrlich gut, dass Fleisch wurde kross gebraten. Der extra große hausgemachte Krautsalat, statt Reis oder Pommes, hat die Sache schön abgerundet.

Hab Gyros gegessen. War ganz gut. Preise moderat.... Nachbar hat sich beschwert dass der Krautsalat zu sauer angemacht war. Fand ich nicht. Fand es eher gut dass sie ihn offenbar selber machen

Update: Nach Besitzerwechsel, ist die Karte etwas kleiner gewurden, aber das Essen ist frisch und lecker, Bedienung, Service und Chef absolut weiterzuempfehlen, wir kommen gern wieder.
