Honestly wasn’t very good. The wienerschnitzel was too breaded. I have had much better. I would advise to eat somewhere else.

Exceptional schnitzel and service…far above typical hotel dining! My partner and I ordered from the “Create your own schnitzel dish exactly the way you like it” menu, and everything was fantastic. She had the Wiener Schnitzel with Jägersoße (mushroom gravy) and Spätzle, while I chose the Cordon Bleu with mashed potatoes and the same Jäger gravy. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, crispy yet tender, and the mushroom sauce was rich and flavorful. The sides were excellent, and a refreshing Radler Bier paired perfectly with the meal. For a hotel restaurant, the quality was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was warm, and the service was attentive and professional. Having enjoyed schnitzel across Germany, I can confidently say this ranks among the best. Highly recommend if you’re in Frankfurt or just passing through. 🇩🇪

The worst Wiener Schnitzel I've ever eaten. Terrible. It's a shame you can't give it 0 stars. Two rock-hard rösti (frozen product). €36 for that! Avoid it!

If only I'd read the reviews already available... After a lovely aperitif with excellent service and great drinks at "The Bar" in the Sheraton, we were in good spirits. The three of us went straight down to the quaint-looking "Taverne" to be served the worst Wiener Schnitzel ever (greasy, thin, inedible). Despite the terrible quality, they're not ashamed to charge very high prices.

The Wiener Schnitzel for 36 euros without salad was simply a disaster - the meat was hard to find, the breading was greasy, the taste was indefinable - so I'd rather go to bed hungry.

Tasty old fashioned, overpriced german food.

We stopped for dinner after checking in to the nearby hotel after a missed flight at FRA. The food and service were great. We ordered schnitzel and a platter of sausages. The portions were generous, but it was so delicious we finished it nevertheless. Our waiter brought complementary soft pretzels for our young son, and even gave us a couple to take with. I’m perplexed by the negative reviews, our experience was exactly opposite.

Service was very friendly. The schnitzel was far too expensive and too dry. The mushrooms in the sauce were from a can. The mashed potatoes were already cold. A poor imitation of a truly authentic German restaurant.

We waited over an hour and a half for simple meal. We had to flag down server just for a menu after being passed by for 30 minutes Our Server friendly and tried to make it right for us. Rest of it terrible. There were many People who arrived after us who were served, ate and payed for meal before we got our meal. The manager tried to make it right and only charged us for our drinks which is why I gave a rating of 2 instead on 1. Do not waste your money here.

Listen to the reviews! I did not and I regret it. I ordered the Taverne Platter. The "Bratwurst" was cold and not good. Frankfurters were also cold. Ham steak was ok but was also cold. Came with a small side of what tasted like canned sauerkraut. I asked for mustard to eat with the sausages and received Heinz Dijon Mustard. I didn't even know they served that in Germany. No self respecting German restaurant world ever serve that with wurst. Also the schnitzel was terrible and it cost 30 euros alone!!! It tasted like it was fried hours ago and had been under the heat lamp awaiting the next poor soul unfortunate enough to order it. I know it's at the airport Sheraton, but come on. For what it's worth the wait staff were very kind but the food is just flavorless "german food" for the airport or tourist crowd that doesn't know any better.

Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away! It was a really great authentic German meal and fantastic service. I’m assuming they get pretty crowded but I went closer to when they opened and it was an amazing experience.

I was a bit deterred by the reviews at first but the service was fast and friendly and the Käsespatzle is one of the best I’ve had in my last few years in Germany. Flavorful cheese and a lot of it!

The overall experience was very good.

So we arrived to stay over night in a Marriot hotel which is connected to Sheraton. And we're told to go to this restaurant for dinner. Upon arrival we were greeted by elderly looking waiter who I formed us that restaurant is full. When we asked how long to wait, he said he doesn't know when we looked around half of the place was empty and we naturally asked if all the tables are reserved, he said now, half of the place is closed. There was no explanation nor timings given and his attitude was of someone who wants to get rid of us as quick as possible even waving hands at us and telling us he "doesn't lie" which is weird since we didn't ask. I can't judge on the food, but the attitude alone could spoil the food easily. I would say they simply couldn't cope with amount of people, but there were 4 of them and about 10 tables taken. Ended up eating at THE EATERY BAR, and service was amazing.

I came to see more and stayed until shift change.

Last evening of our work trip we planned to eat something traditional German dish. We first ended up choosing some sausage dish but luckily our waiter recommended another tradition, pork knuckle (schweinshaxe). It surely wasn' t disappointment and more surely we didn' t leave hungry. Big thanks to our waiter (mr Sancisi?) for very polite service and recommendation. Also the place was nice with homey atmosphere.

Hidden gem in Frankfurt Airport. Came here at 10pm, got sat within 5 min, had my drink and food within 15 min, finished everything to the last morsel of food and beer and about to leave by 11:45pm. Knusprige bayerische schweinshaxe (Bavarian pork knuckle) was beyond compare good.

Once and never again. The potato soup was inedible, thrown away by the waiter himself. The schnitzel with fries was not worth €23, and I walked past the grill while it was still charred. The pork knuckle, my first order, was supposedly out of stock, but less than 15 minutes later, another guest ordered it and it was on their plate.

PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Was really dissapointed to find this place closed. Even on a Saturday night. No mention on google or even from the hotel front desk. Too bad I was looking forward to it, but had to eat American food at the other restaurant.

The waiter Gabriele and his colleagues are extremely friendly. From the welcome to the service, everything was top 👍👍👍. The kitchen is great. The schnitzel has a top price/performance ratio. The drinks cost a little more, but that's airport. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We would eat here again and again. Thanks for everything 🩷🩷🩷 vg Anja and Jürgen

After going through an absolute nightmare of a day, the extremely friendly and warm waiters at the Taverne absolutely saved my day! I can not commend them enough.

We stayed in Sheraton hotel and wanted to grab a dinner nearby and came across to know about Taverne . it is just located in Sheraton hotel which is ideal for us after our flight. Their service was excellent with very attentive staff! The food and beer overall was good.

Close proximity to the Sheraton and Marriott, so I gave it a try. It’s a good place if you just want to have a few beers, so I’d call it more a bar than a restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. The potato soup lacked of taste and the pork knuckle was overcooked. Service personnel was attentive and did a great job though.

I have to say , I walk in as the first customer without much expectation and guess what , had a fantastic experience with all the attentive servers , the food was great too 😊😊👍👌, the restaurant feels a little dark maybe to suite the theme of the restaurant. Will be stopping over frankfurt again another time this year , will definitely visit again

Soooooo Good! Not cheap, but a great meal in a good atmosphere. Definitely going back next trip. the hours are limited and there were only two waiters for the whole restaurant so I get the complaints. But the food was better than what I got in the numerous villages we visited

Had an excellent dinner at the Taverne. Michael, the manager of the restaurant is fantastic and the quality of service is very high. His staff were also very interactive and very good. The Sauhax i ordered was just the right size (half order) and the side dishes were good. The beers were also obviously the highlight.

We were told that no table was available, granted half the restaurant was empty. We were further told we should have known there were no tables available since the doors were not wide open, and we could try again to be seated in an hour. This was one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had when dealing with a hotel restaurant, and it was questionable what motivation was behind keeping us out of the place.

Even if the food is what you would expect in such a location. Effortless local color for an international audience without particularly high quality standards. The food was perfectly fine for a guest who was eating there because of an overnight stay due to an early departure and the lack of better alternatives. But the service was really very friendly and attentive. I thought that the people who are in direct contact with the guests there are wonderful ambassadors for a friendly country. Especially for the many foreign guests that I experienced around me. Above all: not artificial, but honestly and sincerely felt. So, my big praise.

This place was designed to make you feel like you're in traditional German restaurant while you're really inside a modern Sheraton Hotel at the Frankfurt airport. They serve authentic German food which is quite tasty. This week is their "Schnitzel-Fest". Just for a change, I ordered the pork schnitzel instead of veal and it was excellent. Service has been excellent every time I've been here
