Taverna Sirtaki in Ingolstadt

We were there today. We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. We didn't receive the menu until a lengthy 35-minute wait. We then ordered appetizers and a main course and spent a total of about two hours there. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations: the pita was a bit soft, the tzatziki lacked garlic, the gyro was more like frozen food, the calamari was tough, and the fries had no salt. When asked if we enjoyed the food, it was barely noticeable from the plate, as there were many leftovers. We wouldn't give this restaurant another chance in the future, unless the quality and service improve. Never again!!!

Hello dear Zakis! I'm writing to you after almost 6 years of abstinence, and I'm so embarrassed that I haven't been able to come often due to time constraints...but Christian is there almost every Sunday! Hardly a day goes by that I don't think of you when I drive past Hermes at night...you have always been my family! It will soon be 40 years since I met Christian in Ingolstadt, on August 22nd, 1985. I ate at the restaurant with my companion. It was truly delicious and the value for money was very good. The two of us were full for under €50. The main course (Poseidon plate) came with a fresh side salad. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. I can't comment on the hotel/room facilities as we only came for the food. Thank you :)

It's been a long time since I've visited such a great Greek restaurant! Friendly and attentive service, everything clean, bright interior, and above all, incredibly delicious food! The owners were sitting a few tables away and had their ears and eyes on everything, because we ordered a second starter and were informed that the main course could arrive at the same time. I think the manager noticed and sorted it out, because the next starter arrived (so delicious and tender vine leaves with a rice/mince mixture and a lemon sauce), and we were told we still had plenty of time before the main course arrived. My companion had succulent souvlaki and crispy gyros, and I had a leg of lamb that was so juicy and fell off the bone! Here, too, the manager stepped in and brought me a plate for the bone so I had enough room on my plate! What more could you want? The service was also approachable, and there was time for a few words! Thanks to Hotel Block for the great recommendation! I'd love to come back next time I'm in Ingolstadt! P.S. The only thing that surprised me was the cauliflower on the table at the family-run restaurant 😂
