A beautiful restaurant. Everything is great, but the prices are a bit high. We'll definitely come back if we have the chance to try the lunch menu.

I'm from Munich and I've never had such a good Greek restaurant anywhere else in the city. The food is simply amazing and the service is super friendly. I'll gladly come back to Ingolstadt for a meal like this.

A great restaurant and very friendly service, I'll gladly come again.

First off, the restaurant is intricately decorated with little stones; someone clearly put a lot of heart and soul into it. Unfortunately, it was noisy, and there were communication problems with the constantly changing waiters. There were eight of us. I go out a lot, but having to order a glass of water four times in one hour was a first for me. The food and drinks were distributed incorrectly, which meant I didn't get anything to eat. After the other six had already finished their salads and started their main courses, my mood plummeted, and I called it a night. Then they tried to serve me the half-eaten appetizer platter that had been delivered to the wrong table, which had belonged to the person sitting next to me. Unbelievable. The water that finally arrived was on the house. Thank you for that. The appetizer platter I had actually ordered, for just under €15, consisted of a few green beans, a small feta cheesecake, and four or five slices each of baked eggplant and zucchini, smothered in tomato sauce (what?!). For that price, it's outrageous, especially compared to the mixed grill platters for just under €20. First and last visit :-(

They're good at getting reviews deleted! In our opinion, the fish was inedible. By far the worst we've had in hundreds of restaurant visits. One employee was relatively friendly, but the other became downright rude. Is that how you react to your own mistakes? Never again! Don't put up with it!

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at this restaurant. A few years ago, I ate there and subsequently left a 2-star review. The review stated: "Food not worth the price, service not outstanding." Today, I received an email from Google informing me that the owner had filed a complaint for "defamation" and that the review had therefore been removed. Therefore, I would like to offer an objective assessment of this experience: I personally find the restriction of my freedom of expression problematic and would therefore not eat at El Greco again. I look forward to a letter from their lawyer. I am curious to see where in my original review there is any "defamation" and on what legal basis negative reviews can be removed.

The food and service were very good, but some guests from another country, seemingly from Russia, were very loud.

Service was hopelessly overwhelmed and chaotic on a Friday night, but always friendly. The food was sometimes quite tasty, but there are definitely better options for Greek food in the city.

We were staying at the Adler Hotel next to the restaurant. It was obvious that we would try this restaurant, which is separated from the hotel by a door. The table reservation was quick, they waited for us at the reserved time. The greeting and the atmosphere were also very family-like. We received a free drink and salad. All of the dishes were impeccable, and we hardly had to wait for them to be prepared. The decor is very sophisticated, creating a real Greek atmosphere. We had a good time here. We will definitely come again.

Great Greek restaurant! The food is delicious and freshly prepared, and the portions are truly enormous. We especially recommend the grilled salmon with vegetables – simply delicious! The service is very friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel at home. Absolutely great value for money; we'll be back!

We had visitors from abroad and wanted to find a special place in Ingolstadt where the ambiance and food truly reflect our appreciation for our guests. After a long search, my wife and I decided on the Greek restaurant EL GRECO. We, as well as our guests, were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes we received. The staff exceeded all expectations and were very friendly. The meat was not dry, very juicy, and delicious from the grill! We were personally bid farewell by the owner. This restaurant is family-run, and you'll immediately notice this atmosphere in the service. I can truly recommend this restaurant.

We waited about 30 minutes for our first drinks and another 70 minutes for the food. The waiter was very confused and stressed. Plates, dishes, etc., kept falling on the floor.

Unfortunately, the waiter was clearly unhappy. No smile, no kind words. The salad was tasteless, but there was oil and vinegar on the table. The meat wasn't tender, so it required a good chew – probably overcooked. The Metaxa sauce tasted okay, but was way too thick. We won't be back, which is a shame.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food, and the service was rather mediocre. We had cold appetizers – four different spreads in small bowls – nothing else! The calamari rings were inedible, the gyro was okay, and the best part was the fries!!! So, better go to another Greek restaurant.

Quiet place, beautiful inside and promoted staff. The food is tasteful it was our first experience on Greek food, something very good something for our personal tastes almost inedible, the fried sheep's cheese was like a cube of salt in the mouth. The courses are plentiful, the starter with prawns, tomato and sheep's cheese is good. Slightly slow in bringing the dishes even if the place is half empty. My husband and I wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day here. It was very cold. I waited for 1 (!) hot dish for 40 minutes and then left the restaurant crying. The evening was really ruined.

Very nice decorated room, food was also perfect. Both men from the service were a little stressful, they probably had a bad day, but the lady was even nicer. Something could be changed at the entrance door, it's just too loud when the door slams, the guests don't seem to know about doorbells.

I now think it's one of the most expensive Greek restaurants in the city center. But the quality was good and they were friendly too. 85 euros for 3 people is a lot. And you don't even get an ouzo as a welcome at the beginning.

It was a very nice evening. The only point I have to complain about was this: I had the gyro pan. You get fries with this. However, there was no type of dipping sauce with it. No jetchup, no mayo, no tzatziki either. As a result, the fries were very dry. The staff was very friendly. However, it took a relatively long time until someone noticed us when we wanted to pay.

There are enough free places available. Reservation not mandatory. Homemade special sauce in the product portfolio, but is similar to commercially available tzatziki. Food inspired by Greece is offered. Cashless payment possible, but analog cancellation conditions are a bit too complicated and time-consuming. Savings offers are certainly possible for the attentive customer. Striving for Greek flair and climate due to the open door with a light hairdryer in the evening. Free aperitif/digestive (ouzo) unfortunately a little more temperate than the food.

Greek restaurant on the edge of Ingolstadt's old town. The location was good. Service was there - an employee who is always standing in the door, but seems very reserved. Service, ordering and delivery of food. Actually too fast, food prepared? The food was delicious, but the meat was too dry for me personally. Gyros - didn't feel fresh off the spit.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at El Greco. We have reserved the back room for this. There we had enough privacy for our celebration. There were 23 of us and the space was perfect. There was also a side room where we could dance. It was beautifully decorated, matching the theme of “25” and “silver”. The food was excellent. There was a starter and we ordered meat and fish platters as the main course. The waiter stopped by regularly and brought our orders very quickly. All in all it was a very nice evening. We can only recommend the restaurant!

We have enjoyed coming here for a long time. But recently the restaurant was emptier and the food wasn't so good anymore. The gyros pita that we got to take away today were the finale: we couldn't tell whether it was bread, tomatoes or tzatziki, but it tasted spoiled and moldy. When we called the restaurant, we pointed out the bad taste and asked them to see what had gone wrong. There was a small apology and then we were wished a nice evening. Friendly, yes, but 12 euros is too expensive for spoiled food. A pity.
