TAVERNA OLYMPIADE in Hamburg

Das Essen ist sehr gut und Lecker. Gegrillter und gebackener Feta-Käse war sehr gut. Personal etwas Überfordert. Zeit zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang waren gut 30 Minuten. Weitere Getränke und Mayo dauerten nach Bestellung sehr lange und man musste nochmals danach Fragen. Sowas sollte nicht passieren

Ich habe über Lieferando bestellt und falsche Artikel bekommen die ich nicht bestellt habe, sowie das Essen ist in der Tüte komplett ausgelaufen das alles mit Öl und Essig voll war, daher waren die Pommes auch nicht essbar. Als ich anrief bekam ich kein Verständnis und ich wollte mein Geld zurück was ich nicht bekommen habe sondern nur ausreden. Ich würde da niemals wieder essen und es auch niemandem empfehlen. Ich musste das komplette Essen wegschmeißen.

Das erste mal war ich 1986 hier,auch öfter danach noch essen,und vor ca.einem Jahr wieder hier. Das essen ist immer noch so gut wie früher, ich feiere dieses restaurant. Yammas👍🏻

Also entweder sind die Bewertungen noch vom Vorbesitzer oder gekauft anders sind die 🤣4,8 Sterne nicht zu erklären.... katastrophaler unaufmerksamer Service gepaart mit kaltem Essen. Das Einzige das warm serviert wurde war das Bier und das Radler meiner Frau. Gyrosteller war eiskalt ging natürlich zurück und kam nach 10 Minuten einigermaßen heiß zurück.. Mein Gericht war nur wegen der Metaxa Soße noch etwas warm. Absolut keine Weiterempfehlung unsererseits und nur 1 Stern...

Mein Grieche der ersten Stunde. Mittlerweile ist es 30 Jahre her, als hier zuletzt Gast war und wurde überzeugt wiederzukommen. Einen schönen Abend zu zweit verbracht. Wir sind rundum zufrieden Heim gekehrt.

Was für ein wundervoller Ort! Das Essen war fantastisch. Wir bestellten Fisch, und die Forelle war unglaublich lecker. Der Service war exzellent! Ich habe die Atmosphäre sehr genossen. Ich kann es absolut empfehlen!

Wenn wir hier in Hamburg leben würden, wäre das ein Lieblingsgrieche. Wir hatten Meze, die gebratene Leber und Souvlaki mit Gyros. Mit dem Salat davor, waren wir mehr als satt. Wir können die Taverna Olympia nur empfehlen.

Wir kommen immer wieder gern hierher, denn es stimmt einfach alles: das nette Personal, das leckere Essen und die angenehme Atmosphäre. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals wird man freundlich empfangen, was sofort für gute Laune sorgt. Das Menü bietet eine Vielfalt an köstlichen Gerichten, die nicht nur geschmacklich überzeugen, sondern auch mit viel Liebe zubereitet sind. Jede Speise ist ein kleines Kunstwerk auf dem Teller! Die Aromen harmonieren perfekt und man schmeckt die Frische der Zutaten. Die angenehme Atmosphäre rundet das Erlebnis ab – ob man am Tisch sitzt oder an der Bar, hier fühlt man sich einfach wohl. Ein echtes Highlight in unserer kulinarischen Entdeckungsreise! Mehr gibt es nicht hinzuzufügen – wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

Wir haben bestellt und ich hatte mich schon auf Spaghetti mit Tomatensauce gefreut. Was dann geliefert wurde war eine absolute Frechheit! Das essen schmeckte nach nichts, total fad und die Soße war so gut wie gar nicht vorhanden. Dafür 9,50€ ist frech!! Sowas würde ich nicht den Kunden anbieten.

Ich bin, was griechische Restaurants betrifft, sehr kritisch eingestellt, da ich im engeren Bekanntenkreis einige Griechen habe, und auch ausserhalb der Touristenorte Ferien mit authentischer Küche genossen habe. Ambiente: Das Restaurant ist unscheinbar, da es wie ein Einfamilienhaus wirkt. Das Innere ist dezent dekoriert, während andere Restaurants einen mit ihrer Deko fast "erschlagen". Man sitzt gemütlich, wirkt eher wie eine dörfliche Gaststätte. Personal: Imhaber/Personal ist sehr freundlich und es war an dem Abend nicht viel los, man wurde entsprechend schnell bedient. Das Essen: Die Speisekarte bietet saisonale Gerichte (Spargelzeit), "klassische" Spezialitäten vom Grill und eine Variation griechischer Traditionsküche (Stifado, Kokkinisto, etc...) Vorspeise Saganaki: panierter Feta mit Sesam und Honig. Definitiv ein guter Starter! Tzatziki: Frisch, cremig, authentisch. Vor allem sehr kräftig. Ein guter Tzatziki ist ja quasi ein Aushängeschild in der griechischen Gastronomie. Hat meine Erwartungen erfüllt. Das Hauptgericht: Ich habe die Olympia-Platte etwas abgeändert, statt Pommes nur Reis und ein Bifteki zum Gyros/Souvlaki bestellt. Der Wunsch wurde berücksichtigt und erfüllt. Eines vorweg: Die Portionen sind echt gross, selbst ich musste kapitulieren, obwohl ich ein sehr guter Esser bin. Zum Glück ließ sich der Rest einpacken. Die Beilagenportionen können/sollten auf jeden Fall mengennässig angepasst werden. Geschmack: Das Bifteki war saftig, frisch und gut gefüllt, etwas weniger Salz wäre hier bei der Hackmischung angebracht, aber ansonsten schmeckte es sehr gut. Das Gyros war frisch, saftig, lecker. Souvlaki ein echtes "Monster", aber saftig, zart, frisch, die Kräuter wahrnehmbar. Der Reis war ebenfalls sehr gut, aber eben: Portionsgrösse "Mammut" 😉 Fazit: Für mich eines der besten griechischen Restaurants im Stadtgebiet, definitiv empfehlenswert. Lediglich die Portionsgrößen sind ein "kleiner" Kritikpunkt, geschmacklich gibt es insgesamt bis auf das Erwähnte, nichts negatives.

Essen klasse, Bedienungen nett und erfüllen Wünsche. Mehr als 4 Personen lieber Tisch reservieren. Ich esse gerne Gyros mit Metaxasosse, Forelle oder die Dorade. Es gibt auch Essen für den kleinen Hunger. Also bis demnächst.

Lasst euch nicht vom äußeren Eindruck täuschen, drinnen sehr geräumig, gemütlich und erstklassiges Essen. Grosse Portionen und leckerer Ouzo ;-) Herzlicher Empfang und freundlicher Service.

Für uns war das keine gewöhnliche Olympiade-Kneipe, sondern eine Oase in der Wüste. Ein großes Lob für den Truthahn-Schaschlik! Sag dem Koch, er soll das Geheimnis seiner Saftigkeit und seines Geschmacks nicht verraten. Die Suppe hat meinen Magen nach dem widerlichen McDonald's-Essen komplett geheilt.

Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und umfangreich. Das Essen ist immer (!) frisch zubereitet und sehr sehr lecker. Wir waren mit der Vorspeise und dem Hauptgericht sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente war ruhig, schön und traditionell. Es gab ausreichend Platz und alles war sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr höflich und freundlich. Insgesamt können wir das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. 😊

Wir waren nach dem Spaziergang mit dem Hund spontan hier und wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war super und authentisch. Wir waren das erste aber sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal hier. Hier fühlt man sich wohl. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Im Anschluss an eine sehr schöne Hunderunde sind wir auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war super lecker und unser Hund bekam gleich frisches Wasser und ein Leckerli. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Essen war unter nicht heiß genug, nicht gut, haben die helfe zurück gegeben.

Durchschnittlicher Grieche. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, am Mobiliar sieht man dass es schon min. 15 Jahre auf dem Buckel haben könnte. Abgewetzte Polster .... Essen ok, aber eben auch nicht herausragend. Portionsgröße für griechische Verhältnisse klein. Für als nicht typisch für einen Griechen empfand ich, dass man für ein Schälchen Extra-Tzatziki 7€ berappen muss. Vielerorts gibt es das so.

Sehr schlechte Bedienung. Wie die Bedienung mitbekommen hat, dass wir einen Schlemmerblock haben, wurden wir leider wie Gäste 2Klasse bedient.

Leckeres Essen und wir haben sogar ein kleines Dessert aus der Küche bekommen! Super nette Bedienung und sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre!

Der Grieche war wunderbar. Wir kommen immer wieder das Essen super geschmeckt.

Super Restaurant , waren 2 mal eingekehrt und hatten mehrfach Gerichte abgeändert. Alles wurde wie selbstverständlich angepasst ohne einen Aufpreis zu verlangen , heutzutage absolut eine Seltenheit . Würden hier jederzeit wieder gerne Speisen.

Ein super Abend in einer gemütlichen griechischen Atmosphäre.🇬🇷 Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, es wurde öfter nachgefragt, ob etwas benötigt wird. Rundum hat man sich von Anfang bis Ende wohlgefühlt, kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Das Giros war sehr gut und groß geschnitten, kein Fipselkram. Leber und Fleisch auf den Punkt gebraten, hätte ein wenig mehr Knoblauch an der Leber sein können. Aber das ist ja Geschmackssache, genauso wie der Ouzo, einen Pilavas erkennt man eben😁 Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist absolut nicht zu toppen.👍🏻

We were there for dinner at 6 p.m. on October 17th and 18th!!! Super friendly boss, makes everything possible and always smiling and super friendly! Guests feel very well looked after here!!! On the first day, we had two baked pork fillets. Rarely have we had such tender and thick (as it should be, and pink in the middle) pieces of fillet, mushrooms, and proccoli!!! Hardly manageable. The taste was fantastic! Very, very rare these days. Now, after these fillet slices, I had gathered enough courage, and today I tried the grilled trout. Hello fish connoisseurs, it was grilled and still great. It's very rare that the head, with all the bones, can be removed in one piece, all the way down to the tail. (Even from the belly flap = all of them). Hats off, that indicates fresh fish quality. Not frozen!!! Big compliments to the chef here, you have to stay there the whole time!!! Have a feeling and an eye just for the trout!!! I was very happy to have such good food both days. I never would have expected it for the money!!! Thank you also to the manager today for the special table for the two of us, even though they don't take reservations for two people, according to the manager?

Wir waren am 17 und am 18.Oktober dort zum Abendessen 18 Uhr!!!. Super freundliche Chefin, macht alles möglich und immer lächelnd und super freundlich! Hier fühlt man sich als Gast super aufgehoben!!! Am ersten Tag hatten wir 2 Schweinefilet überbacken. Selten solche zarte und dicke (wie es sich gehört und mittig rosa) Filetstücke, Pilze und Prokkoli erhalten!!! Kaum zu schaffen. Klasse im Geschmack! Sehr sehr selten in der heutigen Zeit. Nun hatte ich nach diesen Filetscheiben genug Mut gefasst und heute nahm ich die Forelle auf dem Grill gebraten. Hallo - Fischkenner, auf dem Grill und trotzdem super. Sehr sehr selten, dass sich der Kopf mit allen Gräten am Stück bis zum Schwanz herauslösen lässt. (auch vom Bauchlapoen = also alle) Hut ab, das kennzeichnet eine frische Fischqualität. Keine TK (Frostware) !!! Dem Koch hier ein dickes Lob, da muss man die ganze Zeit dabeibleiben!!! Ein Gefühl und ein Auge nur für die Forelle haben!!! Ich war an beiden Tagen sehr glücklich solch gutes Essen zu bekommen. Für das Geld hätte ich es nie erwartet!!! Dankeschön auch der Chefin für heute für den besonderen Tisch für uns zwei, obwohl keine Reservierung für 2 Personen vorgenommen wird, so die Aussage des Chefs?

Unfortunately, I have to say that something is going wrong here. After obviously ignoring the guests coming in and their greetings, we were first reprimanded by the owner, who I assume was the owner, saying it was "good evening" when we asked if there was room for two more people. That should have been the moment to leave the restaurant because someone obviously didn't understand their instructions. But hey, everyone can have a bad day and if the food and service are otherwise impressive, you'll put up with the owner's reprimand. We were then seated in a sparsely occupied restaurant between the restroom and the exit. We placed our orders and were served a small salad with a relatively large portion of - I'm guessing it was supposed to be tzatziki. There was bread with it. The bread was good, the dip was good, but had little to do with tzatziki. On the other hand, there was no dip at all with the main course, the dirty plate was left on the table, and our request for a dip or tzatziki was initially ignored. When we finally got some attention and said the food was too dry and we'd like some tzatziki with it, we were told that we were, after all, at a Greek restaurant and they also had food for Germans. All in all, I have to say, I don't mind a loose tongue. And as I mentioned, anyone can have a bad day, but then everything else has to be just right, and for such a cheeky way of dealing with their guests, the fries were too greasy, the meat too dry, the dip didn't have enough tzatziki, and the service was simply too bad. We're both tradesmen and generous with tips, even when things go wrong, but here we actually paid the bill down to the last cent because it was simply outrageous. Seven euros for a dollop of tzatziki, or whatever that's supposed to be, split between two dishes, was enough of a tip for me for such outrageous service. There are better alternatives right around the corner for us, this was the first and last time.

Despite arriving late, the service was very friendly and the food was hot and delicious. Thank you.

A great taverna with authentic Greek cuisine! Everything was perfectly seasoned and lovingly prepared. The staff is warm, attentive, and makes you feel at home right away. The value for money is also excellent. We'll definitely be back soon – Efcharistó!

We recommend this lovely restaurant near the Lindtner Hotel. It's run by the very courteous and friendly Dimitri and his team. The price/performance ratio is excellent, and the quality and selection are superb. The food tastes fantastic. The team is attentive and genuinely interested in their guests. We'll be happy to return from East Frisia.

The meat was very dry and overall flavorless. The service was truly warm and the food was lovingly prepared.

Our favorite Greek restaurant for years. We still come here, even though we moved to Lüneburg 12 years ago. I think that says it all. We love the lamb fillets, Tillichto, trout, and fried pepperoni. Simply delicious. Dimi is friendly and always seems authentic. The tavern is located right next to the forest, which is perfect for a walk.

Very family- and child-friendly. A very warm welcome. Superb food. We were extremely satisfied throughout. We'll be back.

Quite nice, but I just can't stand soggy fries, dry fish, and generally passionless food anymore. We've had that for decades.

Rather unassuming from the outside, but the food and atmosphere are SUPERB. The service and friendliness are absolutely top-notch. We'll definitely be back.👍👍

My favorite Greek restaurant in Harburg!

During our short trip to Hamburg, we found this restaurant near our hotel and could easily walk there. We didn't expect much, but we found a lot of good things. Very friendly service. Absolutely fantastic Greek cuisine and delicious wine. If we come to Hamburg again, we'll definitely go back.

Incredibly delicious food. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money. Wonderful atmosphere, very attentive hosts. They even took my allergy into consideration. Plenty of woodland surroundings invite you to take a stroll after dinner :)

What a wonderful surprise to find a fantastic Greek restaurant in Hamburg over Easter weekend! The service was excellent and the food was as good as I've ever had. Fresh ingredients and a wonderful selection of traditional, greek fare makes this place stand out. We had gyro plates (traditional and with Metaxa sauce) and our only complaint was that it was too much food for one person and we had no way to take our leftovers with us. At the end of our meals, that gave us each a red egg which is traditionally given at Easter. It was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture! Christos anesti!

Nach einer Geocachingtour in der Gegend und in den Harburger Bergen wollten wir vor der Rueckfahrt noch etwas Essen. Das grosse G***** brachte als Ergebniss dieses Haus. Auf telefonischer Anfrage hiess es das Platz waere. Es war auch gerade 1700 Uhr. Zwei grosse Raeume mit eng an eng stehenden, eingedeckten Tischen fiel uns auf. Wir wurden in den zweiten Raum gebeten wo bereits ein Paar sass. Direkt neben uns wurde dann der 8-Personen-Tisch mit einem Geburtstag von aelteren Gaesten besetzt. Warum setzt man die Gaeste nicht weiter weg von Partytischen ? Wir baten um Umsetzung nach in den vorderen Raum. Der Salat mit Zaziki wurde schnell serviert, der Salat allerdings in einer sehr engen Schuessel. Die Hauptgerichte sahen gut aus - war eine sehr grosse Portion - hat aber auch einen guten Preis Fuer mich waren der Reis und die Fritten zu trocken. Das Fleisch war ok, das Schweinestueck hatte teilweise den Geschmack als sei es um "kippen"

I have been a regular visitor to Taverna Olympiad for four decades. and every time it feels like a piece of vacation in Greece. From my very first visit to today, one thing has never changed: the quality and taste of the gyro, which for me is the best around. The team always greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome and valued.

Food was very tasty. The condition very cordial. We felt very comfortable.

This was our second time here and it is always delicious. Finally a tzatziki with a lot of flavor, but you have to love garlic. Great service. Ouzo before and after. The food was very tasty and the quantity was more than sufficient. Parking spaces at the house. Would love to come back.

We were in Hamburg over the weekend and ate twice in the taverna. The friendliness and service really stand out - you're often not used to something like that anymore! Many thanks to the team. The menu is very large and also includes some special dishes made from stoneware pots or similar. The food is very good, excellent value for money!

Food (Giros with Metaxa sauce) The meat was saturated with a lot of fat, the fries were very soggy - not crispy. Objected to by the boss when asked. Justification from the boss: Giros must be greasy.

Really great restaurant. Very fresh and tasty (coleslaw) salad and tzatziki as well as great main courses. My insider tip: Bamies, Greek-style okra. The owner and the staff are super friendly. The mocha is also just right. Fair prices. Big recommendation.

TAVERNA OLYMPIADE / Hamburg Harburg Nice restaurant on the edge of the Harburger Berge forest area. The restaurant has its own parking lot at the back. The restaurant is set up in a rustic but cozy style. Sufficient space Orders are taken very quickly. Drinks and the salad arrive at the table in a short time. You had to wait a bit for the main course as it was served fresh and warm. Very neatly prepared and tasted good. So it was a good afternoon in the restaurant

Sitting comfortably with my girlfriend with good dry wine and delicious food and planning the next visit here.

We went for dinner with a group of 20 people. All dishes were very tasty. Whether fish, meat or vegetarian dishes, everything tasted very good. The service was great. We had a great evening. Thank you for that !

Total sympathische Gastronomen, die uns, die wir nach langer Fahrt, für eine Übernachtung im „Lindtner“, keine Lust auf Trubel oder langes Restaurantsuchen hatten, und einfach die 300 Meter vom Privathotel Lindtner zur Taverne Olympiade rübergeschlendert sind, perfekt à point gebratene Lammfilets und ein sehr gutes Stifado serviert haben, um 20:30 Uhr. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem, vielen Dank!

His comment on this recession shows that he doesn't know how many times I've been there and was very disappointed the last two times. Being insulting here doesn't make it any better. Someone who no longer invests in their restaurant not only loses guests.

Unfriendly and arrogant owner, no good service, there are others who are nicer.

We were visiting Hamburg and looking for somewhere nearby to have dinner. The Taverna offers a wide range of dishes. Delicious. The meat was on point and the side dishes were very tasty. The salad has a particularly delicious seasoning. The tzatziki was great!! The price-performance ratio is really great. Very clear recommendation.

The first visit and immediately very positively surprised :) immediately after arriving, we were greeted warmly, taken straight to a great place with a view of the forest and, in addition to funny jokes with the boss, we were given a great gyros as a dish. Including a delicious starter. We shook hands to say goodbye - in short: very friendly and personal. We'd love to come back!

Hello everyone.... We had dinner with you on May 30th. We had reserved and had a very nice corner to sit. First of all, thank you for that. But the waiter with a pigtail and glasses was very unfriendly. He should work a little on his friendliness so that the guests like him again. Everyone really enjoyed the food.

We went to Taverna Olympiade this evening and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent (even as a vegetarian), very friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere.

Compared to the other Greeks in Heimfeld, we think not only the quality and prices but also the ambience are better. Always happy again.

Delete my review? Because of defamation? Can't think of anything else? Or? I stand by my previous opinion. Back then 2 stars, now only one. The food has nothing to do with Greek cuisine. At least what we had. Service was ok, but nothing special. Criticism was not accepted, hence so few stars. If you delete my review again, I will write it again!

We ate here a few days ago and were very satisfied. Very good and tasty food. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waiters and landlord were very friendly. Overall a very great experience and we will definitely come back more often.

The meat was tough, the furniture was old-fashioned and the landlord was "a matter of taste".

We are regular customers, so far mainly “to go”. Today we ate there with our two children (infant and toddler). As always, the food was super fresh and delicious. The owner and the service are indescribably nice, attentive and courteous. It really doesn't get any better.

Outstanding chance find. Despite the full house and terrace, we barely waited 10 minutes for the starter, the main course came with a seamless transition. Friendly, attentive and non-intrusive staff in front of and behind the counter. The meat was cooked to perfection with all 4 different pieces on the plate. We'll come again and again and again 😉 3 days later - our farewell dinner from Harburg. First impression confirmed!!! Many thanks to the whole team for the great finish.
