I've lived in Mögeldorf for four years, but I hadn't yet "made it" to Taverna Olympia. Today I finally did, and all I can say is: friendly hosts, beautifully presented, and delicious food. The meat was cooked to perfection! A down-to-earth Greek restaurant that offers excellent food.

The "Steigerturm" has been in the family for at least 40 years and is an institution in Mögeldorf. A family business with a consistently friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Mom does the cooking, and she's a star. They have the best tzatziki in Nuremberg. My favorite dish here is gavros (baked sardines). What could be better are the drinks. The beer and wine could be of better quality. There are many newcomers to the wine scene in Greece with excellent standards.

We've been visiting Taverna Olympia in Mögeldorf for over ten years now and highly recommend this restaurant! The Greek owner, Ioannis, is an extremely friendly, sociable, and welcoming host, and he serves all guests very promptly. His wife cooks excellent Greek dishes, and the food arrives extremely quickly. The atmosphere is very informal and warm. All dishes can also be ordered to go and are ready about half an hour after ordering by phone. I can definitely recommend this restaurant!

Ich war kürzlich mit meiner Frau anlässlich ihres Geburtstages in dem Lokal, das wir seit Jahren gerne aufsuchen. Essen prima, Service auch und wie immer waren wir mit Trinkgeld nicht kleinlich. Ich trug wie schon öfter einen unauffälligen Rock. Beim Gehen folgte uns der Wirt mit den Worten, dass ich im Rock nicht mehr willkommen bin. Intoleranter geht es kaum! Vielleicht sollte er sich mal mit der griechischen Geschichte beschäftigen? Fustanella nennt man die Röcke der Männer dort :)

I have just received the greatest discrimination of my life so far from the owner. My wife and I have been well-paying and welcome customers/guests there for many years. Even during the Corona lockdown, we regularly got food and drinks there. As a man, I occasionally wear skirts, including today when I went out to dinner for my wife's birthday at Taverna Olympia. After paying with, as always, a generous tip, we left and the landlord followed us to the exit with the words: I shouldn't come back with a skirt! My wife and I were speechless and are still horrified now. Well, even with pants on, he lost two of his long-time regulars! R. & S. Flower Seeds PS to the answer from the owner: What does it have to do with modesty whether you wear a skirt or trousers? And the poor grandchildren who grow up with such a discriminatory grandfather.

The food is delicious, and the people are very friendly, attentive, and relaxed. This is my first time here, and it's very nice. If you're looking for inexpensive food in a pleasant, simple atmosphere, this is the place for you. The ambiance is a bit dated, but that shouldn't deter you.

We came across this restaurant by chance, it was a great surprise, they use very good quality products, the fried fish was cooked with very fresh oil, and you can taste it, the prices are really good and the hospitality of this family is truly remarkable, upon returning from Italy we went back again, I recommend this restaurant!!!

It was really nice, we came here spontaneously before a concert in the Löwensaal. The service was really great and even as a vegetarian (difficult with Greek) I was offered a lot when I asked and offered to put something together.

Christmas party at my former job. Small but simple Greek pub. Very tasty gyros, the waiter was always present but not intrusive. The restaurant was well attended. Since we had the second to last table in the hall, it was still pleasant to chat. It's definitely not the last time I've been there.

Preis/Leistung optima und in einer netten Gegend!

Ohne reserviert zu haben , an einen Freitag Abend, sollte man nicht tun! Dennoch haben sich unsere Gastgeber, sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Die Besitzer waren trotz vollen Laden sehr professionell und hatten alles im Griff! Die Bestellung war fix am Tisch! Der Artemis Teller und auch die Fischplatte mit Reis für 1 Person sind sehr zu empfehlen! Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Familiär, nett und dazu noch gutes Essen. Was will man mehr! Kommen seit Jahren gerne zu Ioannis ins Lokal.

Seit Jahren mein "Stammgriehce" in Nürnberg. Preis-Leistung aboslut top. Sehr nette Inhaber und super Küche.

Ging so. Fleisch war sehr trocken und zu lange gegrillt...genauso wie die Scampis... Ansonsten war es geschmacklich ok.

Mein lieblings Grieche! Top Tintenfisch und das geschmorte Lamm aus dem Ofen sollte man auch Mal probiert haben, dabei esse ich sonst kein Lamm. Ioannis und seine Familie sind auch sehr freundlich. Unser Labrador Zorro begleitet uns auch immer wieder, wobei zu beachten ist, dass die Besitzer hundefreundlich aber etwas ängstlich sind.

Wirklich super Essen und nette Bedienung. Etwas altmodische Einrichtung, lenkt aber nicht vom super Essen ab!

So muss es sein. Hier passt alles in Anbetracht vom Preis/Leistung und Originalität.

Taverna Olympia ist immer einen Besuch wert! Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind zufällig auf dieses Restaurant getroffen. Kurzum: Essen sehr sehr gut! Service hervorragend! Preis ok. Volle Empfehlung!

Lecker, familär, freundlich, Preise sind ok. Da geht man gerne hin, auch mal schnell nach der Arbeit. Quasi der Grieche um die Ecke... Nach fast 3 Jahren haben wir mal wieder den Griechen besucht. Unabhängig von den Preissteigerungen (ist ja überall der Fall), waren die Portionen auch kleiner.... dafür gibt es einen Stern weniger.

Wir kommen seit 30 Jahren regelmäßig her. Das griechische Essen ist spitze. Kein Schicki-Micki aber voll authentisch wie in Greichenland. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Sonderwünsche werden stets gern erfüllt. das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist so wie es sein soll.

Manchmal merklich schwankende Qualität und Würznote des Fleisches, aber das Tzaziki ist immer TOP - ein besseres habe ich noch nirgends bekommen. Freundlich, aber es kann durchaus sein, dass bei Erscheinen 35 Minuten vor Ende der Mittagsöffnungszeit nur der nette Hinweis auf den "Feierabend" erteilt wird, und man kein warmes Essen mehr bekommt... unter vollendeter Gastfreundlichkeit stellt man sich eigentlich etwas anderes vor... Leider erlauben die Bewertungsstufen hier nur 3 Sterne was als "befriedigend" umschrieben ist, oder im nächsten Rang mit 4 Sternen "sehr gut", doch eigentlich würde ich ein solides "GUT" geben wollen, was hier aber aus erwähnten Gründen nur im Rahmen der Beschreibung machbar ist.

Bin auf Empfehlung meiner Frau einmal in dieses von außen unscheinbare Lokal gegangen und habe es nicht bereut. Giros war lecker und Service sehr freundlich

Sehr netter Service, auch Sonderwünsche werden gerne entgegengenommen. Essen ist sehr lecker, ich würde als gut bürgerlich und mit Herz zubereitet bezeichnen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.
