We booked a table for our Christmas party at 7:00 PM...after 30 minutes we were finally allowed to order drinks...and believe it or not, after a wait of over 60 minutes we were finally allowed to order food...way too long for such poor service!!! Especially since the next table arrived later than us and had already eaten plenty before our food order! What could have possibly gone wrong...?

All in all: Wonderful! We've been to Taverna Klassikos three times now (within two years). Always a great experience. The restaurant is always busy, the service is quick, always friendly, and always up for a joke. The food... wow... extremely delicious! The portion sizes are just right, not too much and not too little. We'll definitely be back because it's simply relaxing and fun to eat there and have a pleasant evening. Thank you! ☺️

The food was really good. If you're looking for a Greek restaurant where you still get an ouzo with your meal, this is the place. Parking wasn't a problem either.

I loved this restaurant. The food is so good, I'm still inside right now. Be careful! Make sure to make a reservation because it gets incredibly busy. You can park the truck on the street, and as long as you've called, the owner will give you a warm welcome. The food is also truly amazing, which is truly unheard of for German quality! I'll definitely be back, but like I said, make a reservation to get a spot because it's packed even on Mondays! It's 20-30 euros, but it's worth the price, and you get plenty to drink!

We've been to this great Greek restaurant several times. Today was a last-minute, unplanned visit. Despite the restaurant being full, we got a nice seat and enjoyed another delicious meal. And the food was, as always, delicious. The staff are very friendly and always accommodating. We always enjoy coming back and enjoying the excellent food and the lovely ambiance. Since I'm staying overnight during the trade fair, I looked for a nearby restaurant and found Taverna Klassikos on Google. The starter and main course were delicious; I'll definitely be back, and the service was also courteous.

The restaurant may be a bit out of the way, but it's worth a visit. The food is delicious. The Metaxa platter, schnitzel, and lamb shank we ordered were truly excellent. Friendly, helpful service, delicious dishes, quick preparation, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We went to this Greek restaurant for dinner. The food and drinks arrived within normal time, and everything tasted good. Unfortunately, it ended up being very disappointing: When we asked for the remaining food to be packed and wanted to pay at the same time, we had to wait over 30 minutes. After asking several times, we were told it would be right away – but in the end, someone came to take the checkout. There was no sign of the food, and we didn't want to eat there again, just like we didn't want to eat there again. It's a shame, because the initial impression was really positive. If the service had been a bit more attentive at the end, it would have been a nice experience.

I have lived in Leipzig for over 10 years and have tried every Greek restaurant. With the location not overcrowded at all and the food is phenomenal! By far the best Greek in Leipzig!

Reserved with over 30 people! Everything went great, service was friendly and reliable!

I've been here several times, and each time, I come out with a smile and a full stomach. I really like this restaurant, and I recommend it without hesitation! Even if you are not familiar with Greek cuisine, don't worry: you can choose with your eyes closed or ask the team, who are amazing and will be happy to advise you.

At first I thought it would be a restaurant in a remote commercial area... but whatever, I'll try it. The atmosphere is very inviting. There is a large smoking winter garden. This takes you into the restaurant. The staff is consistently very friendly and not intrusive. A place is quickly found. With the drink order (red house wine) there is an obligatory ouzo. A suitable meal can also be found quickly. It will be the Corfu record. I have to admit, this was the best Greek food I've had so far. Gyros and Suvlaki juicy and pleasantly seasoned. Only the steak was a bit dry. The Greek potatoes with a light garlic sauce were amazing. When we paid we got another ouzo on the house. All around: The restaurant is highly recommended.

Hello everyone. Unfortunately, as a chef (who also worked in Cyprus for a year) I have to get something off my chest. Simply raising prices and bringing a lower level of quality to the table is not fair to the customer. But first things first. When I entered I was greeted warmly and seated at an uncovered table. I didn't get a napkin folded in place and a knife and fork neatly laid out, as seen at the rest of the tables. No, I got a Paulaner beer garden bag with a thin napkin and a knife and fork inside. Plus the menu. I then chose a gyro with fries and salad. This salad looked good and even tasted good. On closer inspection it was 80% iceberg lettuce, 1 slice of cucumber and 1 tomato wedge. Add a piece of sheep's cheese and 1 olive in the middle. But then came the gyro plate. The tzatziki was placed in a mini bowl using a small ice cream ball cutter and garnished with an oversized slice of cucumber. There was a UFO floating in the middle of the plate?! Or what was the chef thinking with that slice of tomato? 🤔 There were lots of onion strips on the gyro. I quickly realized why. The meat was dry! NEVER freshly cut from a skewer. I would charitably say that it was kept warm in a bainmarie. Unfortunately it wasn't good in terms of taste either. The meat was fine-grained and tasted like... it couldn't be defined. When the service person came and asked if everything was OK, I tried to politely point out that the meat wasn't that good and was dry. The answer was a blast: “But the fries are good?” And went away again. From that moment on, someone else served me 🤔 My conclusion: As a business guest, I get around a lot. This was by far the worst dish I have eaten in the nation in the last 4 years. I know that you can't have a good meal for €10, but paying €25 with one drink and a tip and having such a negative experience is simply cheeky. There should be massive improvements here, especially with the one guest who would stay there the whole evening. Not just, as seen live, seeing the regular guest as “the” guest. And sometimes it helps to give the guest an ouzo if he/she has a verifiable complaint about something 😉 ...

Great location, very friendly service. Even without a reservation it wasn't a problem. The salad came promptly and the food came surprisingly quickly after I had eaten the salad. The gyros were on point, crispy but not dry, the potatoes were to die for. The portions are very generous, you get something for your money! We went again with my colleagues and were served quickly and friendly the second time. The food was also delicious. The Corfu platter was massive, with lots of delicious meat. Absolutely top value for money!

I walked into the restaurant without any expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. The waiters were very attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. You could definitely tell that every waiter I encountered there was a heartfelt host. The food was 5 stars plus! Even though I didn't say it out of shyness, you made my evening more than enjoyable. Rip off! Meat quality is really bad, cheap industrial meat that people usually pay a lot less elsewhere. I do not understand how people can be blindly blindly and beautiful ambient and spend so much money on such a bad unhealthy food. Doner kebab is called rotisserie because the law requires it to be called meat if it isn't meat. But I ordered Hänschen Brust from Grill, which only has a name in common with chicken meat. People accept your request in free shopping at Lidl for the cheapest Hänschen meat and roasting it on the grill will be 10 times better than what you get served here for 20+ euros. It's just a shame to sell such rubbish at such a high price. The waiter didn't know what I was talking about and looked at me as if there was something wrong with me. Maybe he doesn't know anything about food, but the owner of the store definitely understands what I mean...he knows where he makes big money. I worked as a chef in a 4 star hotel for 4 years. I chose this shop because of the higher prices in the hope that it was the right Hänschen meat. But no, that was industrially pressed mass that probably only had a small amount of chicken meat in it. You can even cut it with a fork. If you don't believe it, please try cutting Hänschen's breast with a fork at home. I paid, it's still outrageous that they asked for money. Normally I don't pay for something like that and I walk out. But since it was late, I ate a bit and paid and didn't want to cause any stress. The waiter is so clueless and is probably blinded by the ambient and the belief that they are great. The boss is definitely a professional. He has to be able to package the shot nicely and sell it at a high price. It's a shame, nice store, if the quality gets better then there would definitely be more guests. There aren't that many people who are stupid and buy fog.

Another successful evening at the best Greek restaurant in town. Greeted personally by the chef with a handshake and served today in fine, elegant table service by our waiter Kedi. Food and drink, as well as the beautiful location, are particularly worth mentioning.

We are very disappointed, this was our first and most likely last visit. I had pork fillet with metaxa sauce and fries.... Carelessly slapped on it, overpriced, far too little, really small portion... (too bad, no photo taken) Raspberry soda just as expensive as a beer? 4.50€ what's going on?? But the worst thing was that the service didn't care about us. We were a table of 12 and had to beg to be served!! Drinks were served after 1 hour We had reservations!!! They were very friendly to us...when they were there. The restaurant was full, but we sat centrally and could watch people walk past us the whole time... We tried in vain to make eye contact and almost had to stand in their way. We've never experienced anything like this before. We felt ignored and unwelcome! Too bad...

We eat here regularly when we work at the trade fair in Leipzig and are more than satisfied every year. From Quzo as an appetizer before a meal, to numerous excellent starters, to main courses where the chef definitely means it to you. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. The front terrace is wonderfully heated even in winter, so you can enjoy a nightcap with a cigarette if necessary. SO highly recommended stop by.

Ich war sehr enttäuscht! Es stellte sich heraus, daß es eine kleine Mini-Version der Speisekarte gab. Ich hätte mir die Bekanntgabe bei meiner telefonischen Reservierung gewünscht. Ich wählte überbackenes Hähnchen mit Pommes und Zaziki. Leider war des Hähnchen Formfleisch und wirkte wie aus der Dose kommend! Geschmacklich nicht gut und für dieses Gericht stand der Preis von über 21 €. Die Lautstärke der vielen Menschen und der laufenden griechischen Musik brachten kein Wohlgefühl! Sehr schade und nie wieder!

Auch als wir gegangen sind waren die meisten tische leer. Als Frechheit würden wir nach ca. eine Stunde am Tisch gefragt , wir wir bezahlen wollen, obwohl unsere Weingläser noch voll waren. Unsympathische Anmache. Nach Anfrage haben wir die Speisen kommentiert, alles sehr salzig und gar nicht griechisch, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ungenügend !! Nicht EmpfehlenswertNicht als Gast will. Wir waren sehr enttäuschst.

Yesterday we had dinner there again at the Taverna Klassikos and it was, as before, excellent. Starting with the super friendly service (very attentive) to the beautiful ambience (great that you can also sit outside). But the most important thing is the taste of the food and it was unsurpassedly good. Each of us ordered something different so we could try everything. There was also a tasty bedside table, so what more could you want. Clear food recommendation (my 88-year-old grandma also really enjoyed it).
