Great location where everything is just right! Super tasty food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere. The lunch menu offers a large selection of different dishes. We had various sushi platters, all of which tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio is top 👍. We will definitely be back!!

Ate here with a group of friends. The food was excellent, the prices were good and the service was great. Personally, I can highly recommend the tartan and sushi. Contactless payments were quick and convenient. They are all extremely satisfied.

The quality is getting worse, but that happens with a lot restaurants after they settle in the gastro game. The dishes doesn't look as tasty as in the menu pictures and often not at all similar. Definitely not the best sushi in town, but OK.

I was there for the first time today and it was perfect. From the service to the food, I have only had good experiences. I ate sushi and it is highly recommended. There is also a very good selection for vegetarians (like me). For dessert I had the chocolate souffle and I strongly advise you to try it!!! Anyone who is thinking about visiting the restaurant, do it!!

Ordered curry with tofu and pumpkin. But it was the usual mixed vegetables with a (!) piece of pumpkin. I told this to the waiter, who nodded understandingly -- and I expected him to organize pumpkin for me in the kitchen. But nothing came, and when we later asked a colleague for the bill, it was on the bill as usual. The other waiter, asked again about pumpkin curry (almost) without pumpkin, just shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

Was there spontaneously with the children today. Extremely tasty, very friendly staff, would be happy to come again at any time.

Food was always top on previous visits. Unfortunately it had deteriorated significantly on the last visit. Pretty tasteless and carelessly prepared.

Reserved a table for New Year's Eve. But we only had one hour from the time we entered the store. The food didn't come until after 45 minutes. So we were totally stressed and couldn't enjoy the food at all. I will never enter this store again. The floor at the place was also simply broken... BOTTOMLESS!!!

We had a great evening at Taumi in Heidelberg! The sushi is absolutely fantastic – fresh, creative and incredibly delicious. We would particularly like to highlight the friendly waiter in the white shirt at reception. Even though we came on a Saturday evening without a reservation, he organized a table for us straight away - that was really impressive and super friendly! Overall, the service was top, the atmosphere was cozy, and we were absolutely impressed by the quality of the food. Thank you very much for this great experience, we would love to come back!!

Reservation couldn't be found, luckily we had the confirmation with us. Very tasty food, fairly small portions. Atmosphere like in an upscale cafeteria or bistro, giggly service included. Top salmon sashimi, very tasty and fresh, slightly flamed tuna. Homemade watery lemonade, good wine selection.

The food is something special, not like the typical Asian snack bar. The selection is limited, but that's not a bad thing. Sushi lovers will definitely find what they are looking for here. Overall, the portions could be a bit larger, but you'll still feel comfortably full. Service very attentive and friendly.

The climax was reached when people started putting the chairs on the tables in the middle of the evening. We pointed out that this was very uncomfortable and would be seen as being thrown out. Top service! Quickly attentive and present with us. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, the pho was served without coriander or other typical spices/herbs; when asked in the kitchen, these had apparently run out. We got sushi and summer rolls to take away. Everything was delicious and there are plenty of gluten-free and vegan options to choose from. Unfortunately, the summer rolls, which are marked as gluten-free on the menu, had soy sauce on them. The staff on site was very friendly, apologized straight away and prepared new summer rolls for us. However, I recommend pointing out any intolerances when placing your order.

I was at Taumi in Heidelberg yesterday and I was thrilled! The food was incredibly delicious – authentic Asian cuisine at the highest level. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the creative dishes. The service was absolutely top: friendly, attentive and fast. You immediately feel welcome. A small negative point is the parking options, which are somewhat limited - but that is often the case in Heidelberg and is completely made up for by the quality of the restaurant. Conclusion: Clear recommendation for everyone who loves Asian cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

Good Asian food, emphasis on sushi, but too much sauce - some dishes drown in it. The tuna tartare, for example, was fresh and delicious, but hard to find under a mountain of salt, sauce, seaweed and fried small pieces. Vegetable strips. Tables very close together it seems cramped. Friendly service.

I don’t know why the quality of this restaurant is getting down. The rice of the curry is not well cooked and the sauce of the fried noodle makes me confusing. Yet, I really like the appetizer, the salty level of edamame is good! Service has trouble handling the large amount of guests.

It seems like we had a not so good day at the restaurant. The food arrived very quickly, which would normally be praiseworthy - but we had specifically emphasized that we would like a break between the starter and the main course and, on the other hand, it almost looked as if the curry had already been ready. Reservations are always advantageous as they are always well attended.

We were visiting Heidelberg and ate at Taumi two days in a row because the food here was delicious and we had a great evening. Great recommendation! The fried salmon and the Oceans Bowl were particularly delicious. Reservations are recommended on weekends as the store is really busy.

The 3 of us ate at Taumi today. We had ordered gyoza and sushi as a starter, both types of sushi were wrong, once a sushi maki mix came even though sushi makis avo was ordered and once the tempura rolls with salmon came even though veggi was ordered, this happened to the 3 of us only after one bite each noticed in the sushi, when we complained there was no understanding, they insisted that the maki mix had been ordered and that it should be eaten. The tempura rolls were replaced, but we were told that next time we shouldn't eat half of it (😂⁉️), but should say something directly. We also had 2 curries with duck, the duck was completely cooked through and dry, I I've rarely been to such a bad store. I would prefer to give 0 stars.

We were in Heidelberg today for an event. Since we still had almost an hour left, we wanted to go somewhere for a drink. Unfortunately there was only the Taumi nearby. We said right at the door that we just wanted a drink and whether it was still possible. The waiter said it wouldn't be a problem and gave us our seats. We sat here for almost 15 minutes without any waiter noticing us. After a good 20 minutes we left the restaurant again. We have never experienced such poor service before. The restaurant wasn't even half full at this point. We really felt pretty stupid. Sorry, but that's not how you treat guests. Everyone was standing around somewhere bored. That's not what service looks like to me!!

We were skeptical at first because of the extensive, richly presented, but rather well-worn menu - everything from sushi, fried fish, noodles, soups, salads, curries to steak. However, such a colorful selection often does not promise particularly good Asian food. We ordered two curries from the lunch menu, one with fried chicken, one vegan with tofu - and were pleasantly surprised! The sauce had the right amount of spice and spiciness, the vegetables were juicy, the meat was crispy, and the rice was well cooked. The service was also friendly and the atmosphere was modern and minimalist Asian.

This place is honestly just ok. The service is a bit slow, and one waiter was VERY pushy to order one certain sushi roll when my friend had a different one in mind. I think he mentioned it four times within 60 seconds, which was odd. The chicken dumplings are fine, and the sweet potato fries were a bit soggy. The sushi was also just ok, and sadly the tuna tempura roll was quite fishy, a big disappointment. The roll the waiter kept pushing us to order was, once again, just ok at best. The matcha ice cream was enjoyable, though. And then for some odd reason they were having issues with their credit card machine, but we figured it out. The prices aren't outrageous here, for the most part, reasonable, but I don't have any interest in coming back for mediocre sushi. The interior is nice, though.

It was ok. Service was friendly 🤗 Warm cola (with ice but it was not cold at all.) The chicken Yakitori tasted deep-fried with a crispy crust, which was a shame. Edamame beans were tasty, but I prefer them with coarse salt and not as much salt as now. Sushis were certainly tasty. Also a lot of noise and bad acoustics, but that is personal.

Not as expected from the reviews. Many dishes are not available and the waiter doesn’t know their menu. Not really Japanese but Thai, even rice is Thai rice not Japanese rice however charge as premium Japanese rice price. Disappointed.

Taumi, Taumi - what does that actually mean? Apparently there is a Vietnamese slang that means something like “me and you”. Müller's cow. Well - I don't know anything about marketing. In terms of decor, the place could also be a Samoan pub, but - hey! - who wants this monotony with the same old goldfish in the aquarium? Well, I don't know anything about interior design anyway. The district west of the train station, where the Taumi is also located, was artificially and sterilely constructed from nothing. A convention center is supposed to compete with the people of Monnem, with a 4-star hotel and all the bells and whistles included. The buildings are designed to be energy-neutral, which is something the mayor of Heidelberg really wanted to show off. That didn't work, the living comfort is poor because you can't open the windows. And the first complaints about mold have already appeared. Green crazy ideas have triumphed over reason again. Well. That's politics, and I understand something about it - but it's supposed to be a nonsense review. So back to Taumi. Taumi, Taumi - draft beer: Duckstein Weizen (you know that) and Carlsberg Lager. I tried the latter, it is comparable to a German Märzen. Yummy. The third tap, however, is absolutely wasted. Carlsberg is available there alcohol-free - we've already come that far! I ordered a mixed platter from the lunch menu for 15.90 euros - for that you can get a carousel with all-you-can-eat elsewhere. But I don't want to complain too loudly, because there was a lot of stuff on the plate, nigiri, sushi, California - and everything was completely ok. Afterwards my stomach was full anyway. Of course I would have eaten more at the buffet, but I certainly regretted it afterwards! The employees had a few more sentences than just "good day" and "swei-u-forty-eurro-ach-sik", which was quite pleasant. One had a shirt on that said: “Silence is better than bullshit!” - I can only agree. Cons: The table we were sitting at was on the verge of collapsing. And: There are no parking spaces. This leads to devaluation.

I had sushi, vegetarian and with tuna. Unfortunately, the fish smelled very strong and tasted strange, so I ended up removing it from the sushi so I could at least eat the rest. Overall, rather poor quality and at very, very high prices. Absolutely not justified. My entire table was not thrilled with their food. The waitresses are very nice. Unfortunately no soap or towels in the toilet. We will not come again and cannot recommend the restaurant.

Friendly welcome, delicious Pho, but the fusion salad only consisted of lettuce leaves, a few crushed peanuts, a few mango wedges. Too expensive for that. But the staff was great!
