Very tasty food, nice atmosphere and nice staff. Would come here again :)

It seems like we had a not so good day at the restaurant. The food arrived very quickly, which would normally be praiseworthy - but we had specifically emphasized that we would like a break between the starter and the main course and, on the other hand, it almost looked as if the curry had already been ready. Everything was just too fast. Unfortunately, the main course wasn't a big hit in terms of taste - it was pretty bland. Too bad

The food was consistently very tasty and the service was absolutely top. Highly recommended

Best sushi in Heidelberg! But the great facilities and the friendly staff are also very striking. I really enjoy eating here and am always happy when I am shown to the table by the operations manager, Hasan. There is no better restaurant in Heidelberg for sushi lovers! Reservations are always advantageous as they are always well attended.

We were visiting Heidelberg and ate at Taumi two days in a row because the food here was delicious and we had a great evening. Great recommendation! The fried salmon and the Oceans Bowl were particularly delicious. Reservations are recommended on weekends as the store is really busy.

We went there for the first time today without a reservation. Since our hotel is around the corner, the location was great, the service was courteous, even though the restaurant was full, the food was great.

The staff is very attentive and asks if everything is OK. The food is very tasty. The ambience is appealing. ☺️

The 3 of us ate at Taumi today. We had ordered gyoza and sushi as a starter, both types of sushi were wrong, once a sushi maki mix came even though sushi makis avo was ordered and once the tempura rolls with salmon came even though veggi was ordered, this happened to the 3 of us only after one bite each noticed in the sushi, when we complained there was no understanding, they insisted that the maki mix had been ordered and that it should be eaten. The tempura rolls were replaced, but we were told that next time we shouldn't eat half of it (😂⁉️), but should say something directly. We also had 2 curries with duck, the duck was completely cooked through and dry, I I've rarely been to such a bad store. I would prefer to give 0 stars.

We were in Heidelberg today for an event. Since we still had almost an hour left, we wanted to go somewhere for a drink. Unfortunately there was only the Taumi nearby. We said right at the door that we just wanted a drink and whether it was still possible. The waiter said it wouldn't be a problem and gave us our seats. We sat here for almost 15 minutes without any waiter noticing us. After a good 20 minutes we left the restaurant again. We have never experienced such poor service before. The restaurant wasn't even half full at this point. We really felt pretty stupid. Sorry, but that's not how you treat guests. Everyone was standing around somewhere bored. That's not what service looks like to me!!

Very friendly staff. Food, price-performance good. The restaurant was very full when I visited, but they still had a nice seat for me.

We were there for the second time with friends and were very satisfied again. The food was very tasty, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. We sat well and felt very comfortable.

We were skeptical at first because of the extensive, richly presented, but rather well-worn menu - everything from sushi, fried fish, noodles, soups, salads, curries to steak. However, such a colorful selection often does not promise particularly good Asian food. We ordered two curries from the lunch menu, one with fried chicken, one vegan with tofu - and were pleasantly surprised! The sauce had the right amount of spice and spiciness, the vegetables were juicy, the meat was crispy, and the rice was well cooked. The service was also friendly and the atmosphere was modern and minimalist Asian.

You can have a wonderful Asian meal in Taumi. The selection of dishes and sushi variants is great. I am in Taumi with colleagues or privately once or twice a month.

This place is honestly just ok. The service is a bit slow, and one waiter was VERY pushy to order one certain sushi roll when my friend had a different one in mind. I think he mentioned it four times within 60 seconds, which was odd. The chicken dumplings are fine, and the sweet potato fries were a bit soggy. The sushi was also just ok, and sadly the tuna tempura roll was quite fishy, a big disappointment. The roll the waiter kept pushing us to order was, once again, just ok at best. The matcha ice cream was enjoyable, though. And then for some odd reason they were having issues with their credit card machine, but we figured it out. The prices aren't outrageous here, for the most part, reasonable, but I don't have any interest in coming back for mediocre sushi. The interior is nice, though.

Friendly staff, amazing fresh food, very fast delivery

It was ok. Service was friendly 🤗 Warm cola (with ice but it was not cold at all.) The chicken Yakitori tasted deep-fried with a crispy crust, which was a shame. Edamame beans were tasty, but I prefer them with coarse salt and not as much salt as now. Sushis were certainly tasty. Also a lot of noise and bad acoustics, but that is personal.

We were served quickly and the food arrived very quickly afterwards. Very tasty sushi, especially the crispy rolls. The boss is also very correct 👏

If you want to go for good delicious sushi, better go to Taumi in Mannheim - absolutely different quality of food, both taste and freshness, as well as portion sizes, by the way!

Not as expected from the reviews. Many dishes are not available and the waiter doesn’t know their menu. Not really Japanese but Thai, even rice is Thai rice not Japanese rice however charge as premium Japanese rice price. Disappointed.

We ate here for the first time. Very tasty food and very friendly staff! We were served very quickly and didn't have to wait long! Very good and varied menu and there was something for all tastes!!

Four of us and a small baby had dinner in the evening. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service wasn't that great. Three out of four meals were forgotten, so despite asking twice, we had to wait over an hour for the food and ultimately couldn't eat together. Unfortunately there is no changing table, but an employee was kind enough to provide us with a small corner with a table.

Super fast, friendly service. Great sushi, as are the summer rolls. I also like the ambience. Nothing to complain about and I'll keep coming back.

Taumi, Taumi - what does that actually mean? Apparently there is a Vietnamese slang that means something like “me and you”. Müller's cow. Well - I don't know anything about marketing. In terms of decor, the place could also be a Samoan pub, but - hey! - who wants this monotony with the same old goldfish in the aquarium? Well, I don't know anything about interior design anyway. The district west of the train station, where the Taumi is also located, was artificially and sterilely constructed from nothing. A convention center is supposed to compete with the people of Monnem, with a 4-star hotel and all the bells and whistles included. The buildings are designed to be energy-neutral, which is something the mayor of Heidelberg really wanted to show off. That didn't work, the living comfort is poor because you can't open the windows. And the first complaints about mold have already appeared. Green crazy ideas have triumphed over reason again. Well. That's politics, and I understand something about it - but it's supposed to be a nonsense review. So back to Taumi. Taumi, Taumi - draft beer: Duckstein Weizen (you know that) and Carlsberg Lager. I tried the latter, it is comparable to a German Märzen. Yummy. The third tap, however, is absolutely wasted. Carlsberg is available there alcohol-free - we've already come that far! I ordered a mixed platter from the lunch menu for 15.90 euros - for that you can get a carousel with all-you-can-eat elsewhere. But I don't want to complain too loudly, because there was a lot of stuff on the plate, nigiri, sushi, California - and everything was completely ok. Afterwards my stomach was full anyway. Of course I would have eaten more at the buffet, but I certainly regretted it afterwards! The employees had a few more sentences than just "good day" and "swei-u-forty-eurro-ach-sik", which was quite pleasant. One had a shirt on that said: “Silence is better than bullshit!” - I can only agree. Cons: The table we were sitting at was on the verge of collapsing. And: There are no parking spaces. This leads to devaluation.

I had sushi, vegetarian and with tuna. Unfortunately, the fish smelled very strong and tasted strange, so I ended up removing it from the sushi so I could at least eat the rest. Overall, rather poor quality and at very, very high prices. Absolutely not justified. My entire table was not thrilled with their food. The waitresses are very nice. Unfortunately no soap or towels in the toilet. We will not come again and cannot recommend the restaurant.

Friendly welcome, delicious Pho, but the fusion salad only consisted of lettuce leaves, a few crushed peanuts, a few mango wedges. Too expensive for that. But the staff was great!

The food is very poor quality and not fresh. Above all, the fish was no longer okay and could not be identified as tuna. I had duck which was very fatty and tough. In general, the food was not very aromatic and really very disappointing for the unjustified extremely high price! Never again! There was no soap or towels in the toilet.

**Review for the restaurant Taumi in Heidelberg** We wanted to eat sushi comfortably and the first impression of Taumi was quite inviting. But unfortunately it became clear to us in the first few minutes that the coziness wasn't going to work. With the outside temperature around 30 degrees, it was unbearably hot inside - an estimated 35 degrees in the restaurant. A large shop with no air conditioning, just a single fan at the other end of the room - this is really a disaster, especially for a restaurant that serves fresh sushi. In this heat, the place was also full of flies, which was not only annoying but also very unappetizing. It's a shame, because the service was very friendly and helpful, and the food was okay. It may not have been the Champions League of sushi cuisine, but it was solid and enjoyable. The shop would certainly have more potential, but only once air conditioning is installed and the fly problem is solved. However, under these conditions I will not come back for the time being. Really a shame!

The food was okay, unfortunately the music in the location was so loud that it was rather annoying. Service could have taken a little care of keeping the place in order (wipe down tables, etc.).

We have been here several times, and we have noticed that the quality varies. Sometimes we liked it, sometimes we didn't. Today we were disappointed. Entrecôte full of fat and nerves, fried too fatty. Worse, the waitress begged us to tip her because if a certain tip percentage is not reached per service, the missing money would be deducted from the servers' salary. If it's true it's a shame!!!

Excellent sushi, very good quality! We were impressed even though we only ordered a dish to share for two people. We also ordered cocktails which, personally, is nothing to write home about. The service was very friendly and the whole place was very clean. The tables are quite close together, which means that there is not much privacy when talking, even the tables outside are attached to the premises and, as the walls are glass, it gives the impression that they are touching the your table

On Friday evening we went to Taumi again relatively spontaneously after a long time! We were served attentively, quickly and well and the food was very good! The tables directly in front of the main entrance were secured from wobbling with beer mats. Unfortunately there were more pieces of beer mats on the floor than there were table legs available. If you want to list something negative. But I could go again.

It's a recommended place if you want to eat sushi.

When making a reservation we were told to please be on time. We were too, but cards were only brought to us when we asked; apparently there weren't even enough cards for everyone at the table. At least one of the cards was incomplete and the allergens page was missing. Then when serving, two things were forgotten and had to be delivered later. In the end we were brought the bill for a wrong table. All in all, the service is not convincing.

I think they were good previously but now it is really bad or really really bad!!! Too crowded, as you see from pictures plastic stuff for soya sauce because there is not enough ceramic, no drink for 40min and we need to drink water from toilet, no fork and no spoon and kids eaten sushi with hands since we couldn’t wait any more - sorry don’t come here for dinner, never again Edit: I write this review while in the restaurant and while paying the bill, waitress mixed the bills and I paid the bill for other table and they paid my bill - I gave 2euro to other table owner - so after a bad dinner that is cherry on the cake

We are always at Taumi in Heidelberg. So far it has always been very tasty and fresh. One of the best sushi in the area. I can particularly recommend the sushi platters for 2 or more people.

Super tasty food, it was definitely one of the best ducks I've eaten. The dishes are also very nicely prepared. The house-made lemonade is also very tasty, but unfortunately I found it to be a bit too sweet. The sushi not only looked good, it also tasted really good. I can only recommend everyone to eat there.

Very nice location, the food was really tasty and prepared quickly, the service (service and decoration) was also very nice. The total for 2 people with starter, snacks and drinks was €77. Which in this case isn't that much. We'd love to come back :)

The first time the service was very friendly and entertaining. The food came quickly and it tasted very tasty. The second time I ordered this and the meat was a bit dry, but the crunchy sushi was very tasty. The third time, the food also came quickly and the service was friendly. At the end the waiter asked if I wanted to pay a tip. The customer should decide this for themselves instead of asking about it comes across as unprofessional. All in all it was a very tasty meal.

We ate here for the first time. It is easy to reach in Bahnstadt, you have to look for a parking space. The table worked out spontaneously without a reservation, but it was also during the week. Absolutely bad customer service! After we were missing food and when we asked we were only told: the food is here but we have nothing to do with it... the sushi was mashed together and only tasted semi-good. Very large selection of sushi. Was served very nicely. And top quality. It was actually fully booked, but a table was still able to be organized for us without prior notice. Inside it is very pleasant and nicely decorated.

According to Asian standard is ok la. Not really Japanese but fusion. Operated by Thai people. Presentation is fancy.
