The food was very tasty and we were served in an absolutely friendly and courteous manner. Unfortunately we couldn't eat any dessert after the starter and main course, we were just too full 😁! Next time we will test our way through the sushi menus.

It's a recommended place if you want to eat sushi.

When making a reservation we were told to please be on time. We were too, but cards were only brought to us when we asked; apparently there weren't even enough cards for everyone at the table. At least one of the cards was incomplete and the allergens page was missing. Then when serving, two things were forgotten and had to be delivered later. In the end we were brought the bill for a wrong table. All in all, the service is not convincing.

Slow service. They probably need to hire more people.

Regardless of the fact that the food simply tastes really good, it should also be mentioned that the service is really top! Always friendly. People always ask if everything is OK etc. Simply a very good restaurant with very good employees!

I think they were good previously but now it is really bad or really really bad!!! Too crowded, as you see from pictures plastic stuff for soya sauce because there is not enough ceramic, no drink for 40min and we need to drink water from toilet, no fork and no spoon and kids eaten sushi with hands since we couldn’t wait any more - sorry don’t come here for dinner, never again Edit: I write this review while in the restaurant and while paying the bill, waitress mixed the bills and I paid the bill for other table and they paid my bill - I gave 2euro to other table owner - so after a bad dinner that is cherry on the cake

We are always at Taumi in Heidelberg. So far it has always been very tasty and fresh. One of the best sushi in the area. I can particularly recommend the sushi platters for 2 or more people.

Super tasty food, it was definitely one of the best ducks I've eaten. The dishes are also very nicely prepared. The house-made lemonade is also very tasty, but unfortunately I found it to be a bit too sweet. The sushi not only looked good, it also tasted really good. I can only recommend everyone to eat there.

Very nice location, the food was really tasty and prepared quickly, the service (service and decoration) was also very nice. The total for 2 people with starter, snacks and drinks was €77. Which in this case isn't that much. We'd love to come back :)

An absolute disaster over the phone. Unfortunately, many employees don't speak German, making reservations, issuing vouchers, etc. involves a lot of effort. It has to be better for the price range.

The first time the service was very friendly and entertaining. The food came quickly and it tasted very tasty. The second time I ordered this and the meat was a bit dry, but the crunchy sushi was very tasty. The third time, the food also came quickly and the service was friendly. At the end the waiter asked if I wanted to pay a tip. The customer should decide this for themselves instead of asking about it comes across as unprofessional. All in all it was a very tasty meal.

We ate here for the first time. It is easy to reach in Bahnstadt, you have to look for a parking space. The table worked out spontaneously without a reservation, but it was also during the week. The food was very tasty, the tuna was of very good quality. The service was friendly and quick. We'd love to come back.

After we were missing food and when we asked we were only told: the food is here but we have nothing to do with it... the sushi was mashed together and only tasted semi-good. Very large selection of sushi. Was served very nicely. And top quality. It was actually fully booked, but a table was still able to be organized for us without prior notice. Inside it is very pleasant and nicely decorated.

According to Asian standard is ok la. Not really Japanese but fusion. Operated by Thai people. Presentation is fancy.

The restaurant has a fairly extensive menu for all tastes. It was difficult for us to start choosing because everything looked great, although obviously in the end we decided. We started with some starters such as makis and rolls. Then each one took his own principal. The chicken curry was delicious, the sauce itself was an ideal touch! Then the duck with that mango sauce. That sweet touch gave an ideal combination to the dish, highly recommended if you like mango since it is not as sweet as one might think. And the pasta was very tasty, it wasn't the most impactful but it was very good! We will return when we get back to the area, since everything was great and we still had dishes to try!

The most delicious sushi I have ever eaten. The sushi pate was for 4 people and some of it could be put together yourself. The remaining sushi was selected by the chef. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance fits.

The sushi quality was also excellent and very nicely presented. The cocktails were also super tasty (and also really strong 😋) The service was very good and attentive.

I always enjoyed going to Taumi. The food was delicious, although the service has become a bit clumsy lately. Last Saturday, however, I upset my stomach so much that I felt really bad. About 4-5 hours after eating (sushi made from raw and cooked salmon, raw and breaded shrimp) I started feeling sick and having stomach pain. I barely got any sleep that night and the next morning I couldn't keep anything down.. then the rest of Sunday I had a headache, body aches and was completely exhausted.. And today, 2 days later, I'm still exhausted with a headache. Unfortunately, that was my last visit to Taumi until further notice. I give the two stars generously because I haven't had any problems before.

Albeit pricey, probably one of the best quality sushi I have ever eaten. The place was quite crowded when we visited on a Wednesday night which was a bit detrimental to the atmosphere. Service was quite good. Waiting times were reasonable considering the place was completely booked. We had yakitori as starters and then sushi and duck with rice. The food was excellent and well worth the (high) price. This is more akin to the traditional way of eating sushi for the taste and experience. Definitely quality over quantity.

I've eaten here 3 times and it's always consistent. Great Asian cuisine served with pride! I loved and highly recommend the Grilled Duck with Mango, the Pho Bo and the Sample Appetizer Platter!

The best Sushi in the city without a doubt.

I often eat there. I've already tried some dishes. The sushi variations here are diverse and particularly fresh. I recommend this restaurant for sushi lovers. It is located directly at the stop at Gadamer Platz, in close proximity to the train station. If the weather is good you can also sit outside here. You would have to look for parking spaces, at least the free ones.

The two of us recently had dinner at Taumi. It's very expensive if you don't go out for lunch. Furthermore, the food is nothing exceptional and the service is more than poor. The blonde temporary worker comes across as very arrogant and know-it-all, you get the feeling that she is doing us a favor by serving us. But the best thing was when it came to payment, we had two Phos and a children's menu with two drinks for a total of €50, which in my opinion is very expensive considering that the ingredients in Pho are mostly water. Nevertheless, my wife enjoyed it and I usually give a 10% tip if the service wasn't terrible. When it came to payment and I wanted to pay with a card, the Asian-looking waiter came and actually asked “How much tip do you want to give?” I looked a little surprised, had to laugh and asked if it was mandatory and I have in all these years I went out to eat in a restaurant and had never been asked this question before and then told him that I wouldn't give anything. I'm sorry but from my point of view that's not appropriate. If he had asked if I was satisfied with the service and he would be happy about a tip it would be something different. But calling up moon prices like €4.90 for a lukewarm passion fruit juice spritzer and then asking how much I want to tip is not possible. Apparently you've been spoiled too much because you're the only Vietnamese in the area, but in Berlin I pay a maximum of €30 for the same thing and no one asks for a tip. For me it was the last time we ate here.

We come here regularly to eat with our three - relatively well-behaved :) - children and love it! Not only because the food is really good and even vegetarians get their money's worth, but also because the service is extremely good! Always friendly, attentive, extremely child-friendly and thoughtful! My absolute favorite restaurant in Heidelberg!

Terrible service. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, the order was only taken after 30 minutes. There was no response to the suggestion that we had been waiting for a long time. Food didn't arrive until 40 minutes after ordering. When I asked why it took so long, all I got was a shrug of the shoulders. Food itself was very average and therefore overpriced. Definitely a recommendation to go somewhere else.

Delicious food, especially worth it at lunchtime for the good lunch menus.

At a private party, a large sushi buffet was served, which had been ordered from Taumi. It was very good and was lovingly presented by the hosts. Even with the weekly changing lunch menu, you are served quickly and the price-performance ratio is right.

We were there for the first time on Valentine's Day. Table was reserved 4 weeks in advance. When we arrived we were told we only had 50 minutes to eat! After complaining, we were seated at an emergency exit table. (1. Forbidden because the emergency exit is blocked, 2. Uncomfortable). We would have 1.5 hours there. The food was good, but the theater before and during unfortunately ruined our evening a bit. I wouldn't go there again because of that. Priced at the top. Had 93€ for 2. For sushi. For the same portions, which also taste good, I normally pay around €70.

So it tastes very, very great here. But I have to say one thing. The first time I was there we ordered Robu Fusion. Something huge came to our table with a cake stand. And this time we ordered Robu Fusion again, but this time it was a record and somehow half of it was only on it?? And the fact that you pay almost 100 on top of that (of course I ordered other things) and get less is a bit bad 😬 or are you confusing the orders?🤔 Next time something completely different will be on the table 😅 well I don't think it would come anymore because Surprises are not always good. But your sushi is very tasty.

Disastrous! My 3 year old's food was forgotten, twice, and my drink too... Service was never actually at the table except to pick him up and bring him the food. No apology, nothing.

The ambience looks nice. The food doesn't taste bad, but the price/performance ratio is very poor. The service was also very bad. We were there on Thursday at 4:20 p.m. The store was empty, we were the only customers there, there were three times as many employees on site. The order was placed and the waiter wrote down the order correctly, we know this because he repeated it again. The waiting time was very long. The sushi was OK, but not justified for the price. For the main course we were served rice even though we had specifically ordered the udon noodles instead. These arrived later, with the argument that the waiter hadn't passed it on and was already on his break. I like to pay a lot of money for food. When I am offered something. Here the portion was too small, service was too bad and the taste was okay, but the negatives outweighed the negatives.

Taumi as a franchise lives up to its high standards in everything. Been a customer for multiple years (initially in Freiburg, now here). Everything we’ve ordered (tuna tartare, mango duck, tuna bluefin, chef sushi set) bot looked and tasted luxurious. Extremely friendly and helpful service, ambient atmosphere, fair pricing. Nothing less than 5 stars from me.

I was there for the second time and unfortunately my impression was confirmed that the price-performance ratio was not right. You don't get what is on the menu. We had the Teriyaki Duck and Bluefin Maguro Power. About the duck: The duck was well cooked and also tasted delicious. The orange teriyaki sauce was an average teriyaki sauce, you didn't notice any orange. The grilled shiitakes, as stated on the menu, were at least 80% mushrooms, only a fraction of the mushrooms were actually shiitakes. The menu also states that the dish is served with salad. Here I expect a small dressed side salad, nothing special. However, only 2 extremely large lettuce leaves with a few grated carrots are served on the plate without any dressing. This is just a set. The rice was delicious and fluffy. In my opinion, you can get a similarly good dish elsewhere for significantly less money. About the tuna: The tuna was great quality, but was a bit spicy for my taste. The fried asparagus was partly woody, but half as wild. However, there was the same “problem” with the salad as with the duck. Furthermore, no guacamole was served, just avocado slices and the fresh tomatoes were actually a few mini diced tomatoes on the “salad”. I wouldn't have a problem with mushrooms instead of shiitake and avocado instead of guacamole, but then I wish it was on the menu that way. Together with the lettuce, which is just a dry lettuce leaf, you get the impression that you want to save money wherever you can. That's a shame considering the prices of the dishes. If you got what's on the menu, I wouldn't have a problem with the prices at all. However, I got the impression that they wanted to deceive a bit, which the Taumi certainly didn't need. I couldn't fault the service, everyone was friendly. The ambience is characterized by the aesthetic and harmonious interior design. However, something that bothered me was that the tables were quite close to each other. If you want a little more space, it might be a little too tight here. I think the Taumi concept itself is great, the drinks are delicious and the sushi is probably really good, but overall I'm left with a rather negative impression. The fact that you get something other than what is on the menu is unacceptable to me in this price category.

I moved to Heidelberg from Japan two years ago and I’ve been craving good sushi for a while now. Granted, this does not taste like Sushi in Japan (nothing does) but this was really good. The salmon tasted great, the selection of sushi and sashimi which is basically prepared fusion style was wonderful. The atmosphere was good and their cocktails taste nice and are pretty affordable. The only downside is that we had a reservation for a huge group (30 people) so we had to wait almost an hour for the main course, we felt like it was a long time but the servers were very attentive and kind.

Hier bekommt man ausgezeichneten Service geboten. Die Speisen waren frisch und äußerst ansprechend angerichtet. Das Auge isst mit! Das Ambiente ist geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Der Eingang war barrierefrei, es gab aber keine Parkplätze. Wir hatten eine Reservierung, bei den großen Räumlichkeiten wäre aber bestimmt auch so noch ein Plätzchen frei gewesen. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden und komme bestimmt mal wieder...

Noch nie so leckeres Sushi gegessen. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Haben uns zu zweit das Black Forest Sushi Menü geteilt + 1mal Aburi Salmon + 2 Getränke für 67€. Wir waren beide sehr voll danach, also mehr hätte es auch nicht sein müssen. Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

One of the best Curry Fish I have ever had in my life. It was very well prepared. The sauce was simply excellent. The fish was cooked exactly how it should be. The service was very good. The ambiance inside is simply elegant, not too much not too little. The price is also right. It is a good portion. Will definitely visit again.

The place is Wonderfull but always booked. We were a big group and had slow service but the food is too good. It's a perfect date place.

Das Essen kam schnell personal war nett allerdings sehr planlos und unorganisiert. Die Hauptspeise kam ohne das die Vorspeise abgeräumt wurde. Leider waren es die mit Abstand schlechtesten Sushis die ich gegessen habe ertrankt in Soße und der Fisch hatte sogar nen verdorbenen geschmeckt Leider werden wir hier nicht mehr her kommen
