A very good Indian restaurant with authentic cuisine. The food was very good, only the mango lassi was a bit plain; but not bad. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The service was friendly and courteous, but when we paid: everything was calculated using a calculator and we didn't receive a decent receipt, which left a dubious impression in retrospect. Apart from that, we really liked it here.

Very very disappointing! There were four of us in this restaurant. The chicken wasn't cooked properly. And now comes the kicker. When we wanted to pay we were told €80. When I wanted a receipt for the hospitality, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for it. And look, not €80 but only €78.60! They advertise that everything is Halal and take our word for it and simply round up the money as a tip! What a disgrace! We also ate and were entertained on site. That's why the receipt should also show 19% VAT and not just 7%! Will definitely not visit this store again!

Very disappointing – not recommended! We were very disappointed with our visit to Taste of India. Firstly we were asked to change our seat so 12 other guests could sit, which was just rude and poorly planned. Unfortunately the food wasn't any better either. The samosas were fried for far too long, so they were far too oily - and for the price of only 2 pieces! The staff was rude and ignored our requests. We had to ask for new cutlery three times! We also had problems with communication - when we asked about dessert, the owner just handed us the bill without understanding what we wanted. The restaurant was overall unhygienic: the toilet was dirty and the tables also left something to be desired. And as if that wasn't enough, we all had stomach aches afterwards and the famous Delhi Belly - clearly a sign of poor hygiene and inedible food! All in all it was a very bad experience and unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food never arrived. After waiting for 3 hours post order confirmation, restaurant informed that they don't deliver to our place. 3 hours after confirmation. Zero accountability, order at own risk.

Title: Worst restaurant visit – miserable service, inedible food and disgusting hygiene This restaurant is an absolute disgrace! The service was unfriendly and ignorant, the food tasted a disaster - cold, bland and obviously not fresh. But the worst thing was the hygiene: dirty tables, sticky menus and a disgustingly unkempt toilet. As if that wasn't enough, my change was simply kept as a "tip", without my consent! A bottomless impudence. I'll never eat here again - absolutely not recommended!

We ordered here and were very satisfied! The food was hot, fresh and full of flavor. The Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma in particular were super creamy and well seasoned. The chicken tikka was nice and tender and the samosa was crispy and delicious. Delivery was quick and the portions were generous. We would be happy to order again!

Lamb Korma is really incredibly tasty here. The naan breads are also always super fresh. Usually deliver faster than stated. This time we even got a free chutney to try. There was also a handwritten thank you note from the restaurant. We have always been very happy with the food! Great recommendation!

Want to waste your money, visit this restaurant. The food is fake. We ordered for example Chicken Karahi and they brought a tasteless chicken curry as if we don't know Chicken Karahi. You won't regret my advice, if you avoid visiting this restaurant.

The food was really excellent, tasted delicious! We became aware of the restaurant through advertising on TikTok and had high expectations. Unfortunately the service was disappointing. The drinks – a Mango Lassi and a Cola Zero – only came after the meal, which unfortunately significantly diminished the enjoyment. During the meal we also tried several times to make eye contact with the waiter in order to order additional bread, but only after we were almost finished. Not only was this frustrating, but it was also a missed opportunity for the restaurant to make more sales. In addition, when paying we were told that cash was preferred - which seems a bit strange these days. I really hate writing a review like this and try to look at the situation realistically: the food was great, but unfortunately the service really spoiled our experience. It's a shame, especially since we were expecting an overall positive experience from the TikTok advertising.

I've been to this place at least 5 times in the past 12 months, and the food has always been great, I can never complain about it. However, tonight I invited a friend there for dinner and right after we ate we were asked to pay and leave the restaurant, because there were two other people waiting for a table to get free. I told the waiter we were not done yet and we'd like dessert and tea, he replied saying no this table is reserved, which is an absolute lie, because nothing was showing that the table was reserved and he never mentioned that as we sat in the first place. Imagine inviting a friend who traveled from Bremen to see me, and after 25 minutes in the restaurant, we get asked to leave the place. NEVER AGAIN

I/we were thrilled!!! There were 5 of us + 3 small children there. The service was very friendly (also great with the children), helpful and attentive. The food was really delicious (also halal, for anyone interested) and very tasty. In addition, everything was very clean (including the toilets, which I always pay close attention to). Plus, everything was great for the price of the food! Conclusion: we have a new insider tip that we will only visit regularly 😍

On complaining about the stale taste of paneer, the host started arguing with us. He was disrespectful and accused us of wanting a free meal. I got the feeling the host resented me being a woman from India. At least the owner was reasonable and nice.

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars, otherwise I would have done so. Our visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. First of all we had to wait over an hour for our food, which is absolutely unacceptable. Such a waiting time not only indicates poor organization, but also a lack of respect for the guests. The service was also very unsatisfactory. The employees seemed overwhelmed and could hardly speak German, which made communication considerably more difficult. It is understandable that not everyone can speak German perfectly, but in a restaurant a basic level of communication should be possible in order to provide guests with a pleasant experience. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Instead of apologizing for the long wait, we were treated with indifference. Such behavior is unacceptable in the catering industry and shows that customer satisfaction is obviously not a priority here. All in all, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I can't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and I definitely won't be coming back.

Very tasty food at fair prices. The portions are more than sufficient. I can also really recommend the lunch menu, both vegetarian and with meat. The various naan breads are also delicious. The furnishings are kept quite minimal. Only the waiting times for the food were relatively long.

We went to the restaurant on the recommendation of an influencer. Unfortunately, apart from the food, which was really tasty, there wasn't much positive. Unfortunately, service was hardly responsive because he was talking on the loudspeaker. Our Mango Lassi sat on the counter for a good 10 minutes before the drink found its way to us. There were crumbs everywhere on the table and chairs and the floor was sticky. Some of the furniture was broken. During our stay, 3 songs played on a continuous loop. It's a shame because the influencer's video promised something different. Kudos to the kitchen, but the rest disappointed us.

A must place visit. It's cosy and comfortable located amidst the busy city. I often order online. The delivery is prompt. Food is very tasty. Must try the Paneer Pasanda. Chicken biryani , prawns sag , chilli chicken are among my favourites. The hosts are always very nice and pleasant when you visit them and also when you request any customisation online.

Food is really delicious. I can recommend it. Unfortunately not much meat for €16. I think bread or a small salad should be included in the prices for free, instead they charge €3 for bread. I find it incomprehensible and asking too much.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hannover if looking for Indian/ Pakistani food. The location is very good and just beside of Schwarzer Bar Tram Station. We went there last Friday and welcome by Amazing Person Mr. Irfan. He was so humble and smiling face person. He suggest us to order and even advise not to order extra. The food was amazing and fresh. Chaye was superb and overall environment was very calm and relaxing. We sat for more than an hour, he gives us reasonable discount being a visitor in Germany which is undoubtedly a great gesture. I would recommend everyone to must try this gem if visiting Hannover.

Very good Indian, easily accessible by public transport at the Black Bear. The disadvantage is the terrible parking situation. The restaurant looks significantly smaller from the outside, but is very large inside with around 50 seats. The service is very good, always available and never intrusive. The food, starter and main course were excellent, hot and delivered quickly. The prices are in the normal segment, the toilets are very clean. Conclusion: If you like being Indian and can do without a car, the “Taste of India” is in good hands.

I ordered from „Taste of India“ for the first time and it came out to be a wonderful experience. The food was extremely tasty and spicy as we wanted it to be. They extra gave us a dish for free which was so nice and reminded me of my homeland. The service is beyond nice and polite to the customers and the delivery was also so accurate! I will definitely recommend everyone to try their food!!!

We always have deliveries & for us with the best Indian in Hanover. Fresh, tasty and well seasoned. We never ate in the store itself. Sometimes the delivery time takes a little longer but this is reflected and we always have great food.

There were about 25 people, including children, eating there. The food was excellent, flavorful and delicious. You could tell that each dish had its own flavor, unlike typical Indian restaurants where all dishes taste similar. They put together tables especially for us and made room. We like to come back to eat there again and again.

I would say not that great as I tried 3 diif Veg dishes including Mushroom rice, Paneer curry, Vegetable biryani. Okay okay kind for Indians. I don't know how Germans like this kind of food but for Indians they don't feel authentic taste or spices that match Indian food.

The food was really tasty and plentiful. The waiter was friendly and what we ordered came quite quickly. What didn't work was the fact that the owner (?) came to the table shortly after we had finished eating with a calculator and, without us asking, calculated what we should pay. We were basically thrown out because all the tables were occupied and even more guests came. Perplexed, we then paid what was only possible in cash; There was no bill either... Luckily we had the sum with us; most of the time this is not the case. You would have liked to have been informed beforehand that card payments were not possible.

Ordered food for pickup. Ordered the spiciest dish (intentionally) and based on experience with other Indians “it can be spicy”. When we picked it up, the employee was pretty bored and only exchanged a few words. The food was more expensive than a menu I found online. Doesn't matter. The food was really extremely spicy. I felt pretty overwhelmed. Luckily I'm not as sensitive as many others. The crowd was also decent. The price was then confirmed. I was still full the next day.

After waiting 1.5 hours and calling 5 times, she tells me that a mistake has happened and I have to wait another 30 minutes.
