On complaining about the stale taste of paneer, the host started arguing with us. He was disrespectful and accused us of wanting a free meal. I got the feeling the host resented me being a woman from India. At least the owner was reasonable and nice.

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars, otherwise I would have done so. Our visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. First of all we had to wait over an hour for our food, which is absolutely unacceptable. Such a waiting time not only indicates poor organization, but also a lack of respect for the guests. The service was also very unsatisfactory. The employees seemed overwhelmed and could hardly speak German, which made communication considerably more difficult. It is understandable that not everyone can speak German perfectly, but in a restaurant a basic level of communication should be possible in order to provide guests with a pleasant experience. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Instead of apologizing for the long wait, we were treated with indifference. Such behavior is unacceptable in the catering industry and shows that customer satisfaction is obviously not a priority here. All in all, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I can't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and I definitely won't be coming back.

Very tasty food at fair prices. The portions are more than sufficient. I can also really recommend the lunch menu, both vegetarian and with meat. The various naan breads are also delicious. The furnishings are kept quite minimal. Only the waiting times for the food were relatively long.

Okay, but nothing more. Raita and mango chutney in a plastic cup at the table! A bit worn and slightly dingy atmosphere. Big portion.

We went to the restaurant on the recommendation of an influencer. Unfortunately, apart from the food, which was really tasty, there wasn't much positive. Unfortunately, service was hardly responsive because he was talking on the loudspeaker. Our Mango Lassi sat on the counter for a good 10 minutes before the drink found its way to us. There were crumbs everywhere on the table and chairs and the floor was sticky. Some of the furniture was broken. During our stay, 3 songs played on a continuous loop. It's a shame because the influencer's video promised something different. Kudos to the kitchen, but the rest disappointed us.

A must place visit. It's cosy and comfortable located amidst the busy city. I often order online. The delivery is prompt. Food is very tasty. Must try the Paneer Pasanda. Chicken biryani , prawns sag , chilli chicken are among my favourites. The hosts are always very nice and pleasant when you visit them and also when you request any customisation online.

Really good food, especially the daal soup!!! I really hope that the soup will be back on the menu soon and I would then order it even more often than I do now. Delicious!

Food is really delicious. I can recommend it. Unfortunately not much meat for €16. I think bread or a small salad should be included in the prices for free, instead they charge €3 for bread. I find it incomprehensible and asking too much.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Hannover if looking for Indian/ Pakistani food. The location is very good and just beside of Schwarzer Bar Tram Station. We went there last Friday and welcome by Amazing Person Mr. Irfan. He was so humble and smiling face person. He suggest us to order and even advise not to order extra. The food was amazing and fresh. Chaye was superb and overall environment was very calm and relaxing. We sat for more than an hour, he gives us reasonable discount being a visitor in Germany which is undoubtedly a great gesture. I would recommend everyone to must try this gem if visiting Hannover.

We were very surprised that there was so little going on because the food and service were very good. We can only recommend it.

Very good Indian, easily accessible by public transport at the Black Bear. The disadvantage is the terrible parking situation. The restaurant looks significantly smaller from the outside, but is very large inside with around 50 seats. The service is very good, always available and never intrusive. The food, starter and main course were excellent, hot and delivered quickly. The prices are in the normal segment, the toilets are very clean. Conclusion: If you like being Indian and can do without a car, the “Taste of India” is in good hands.

I ordered from „Taste of India“ for the first time and it came out to be a wonderful experience. The food was extremely tasty and spicy as we wanted it to be. They extra gave us a dish for free which was so nice and reminded me of my homeland. The service is beyond nice and polite to the customers and the delivery was also so accurate! I will definitely recommend everyone to try their food!!!

We always have deliveries & for us with the best Indian in Hanover. Fresh, tasty and well seasoned. We never ate in the store itself. Sometimes the delivery time takes a little longer but this is reflected and we always have great food.

There were about 25 people, including children, eating there. The food was excellent, flavorful and delicious. You could tell that each dish had its own flavor, unlike typical Indian restaurants where all dishes taste similar. They put together tables especially for us and made room. We like to come back to eat there again and again.

I would say not that great as I tried 3 diif Veg dishes including Mushroom rice, Paneer curry, Vegetable biryani. Okay okay kind for Indians. I don't know how Germans like this kind of food but for Indians they don't feel authentic taste or spices that match Indian food.

The food was really tasty and plentiful. The waiter was friendly and what we ordered came quite quickly. What didn't work was the fact that the owner (?) came to the table shortly after we had finished eating with a calculator and, without us asking, calculated what we should pay. We were basically thrown out because all the tables were occupied and even more guests came. Perplexed, we then paid what was only possible in cash; There was no bill either... Luckily we had the sum with us; most of the time this is not the case. You would have liked to have been informed beforehand that card payments were not possible.

Delicious food in a somewhat cold atmosphere could also have been due to the late hour.

Ordered food for pickup. Ordered the spiciest dish (intentionally) and based on experience with other Indians “it can be spicy”. When we picked it up, the employee was pretty bored and only exchanged a few words. The food was more expensive than a menu I found online. Doesn't matter. The food was really extremely spicy. I felt pretty overwhelmed. Luckily I'm not as sensitive as many others. The crowd was also decent. The price was then confirmed. I was still full the next day.

After waiting 1.5 hours and calling 5 times, she tells me that a mistake has happened and I have to wait another 30 minutes.

Super super friendly service, food is always tasty and warm, even when you order. Unfortunately I got the wrong meat and even though I said it was okay, I was given the right meat as well. We feel very comfortable here.

Ordered food there for the second time. The first time was good, but the second time the sauce was half fat/oil. You could also see directly that there was a centimeter-thick layer floating on top. Accordingly, the food didn't taste like anything because a layer of oil covered the taste. My girlfriend still ate it all and had a stomach ache afterwards... too much for her stomach. You can see that when filling the portion. I can't understand how something like this happens. And paid €30 for it...

Ein sehr schönes kleines Restaurant mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre sehr netter Bedienung und das Essen war schnell am Tisch und schmeckte auch sehr lecker, der Chai indische Art schmeckte auch sehr gut. Sehr zu empfehlen wir gehen wieder dort etwas leckeres Essen.

Ich war mit Kollegen zum Mittag bei Taste of India essen. Ich war mehr als positiv überrascht. Zum einen gibt es einen recht günstigen Mittagstisch (7,90€ vegetarisch, 8,90€ mit Fleisch) bei den man aus 6 (3 Fleisch/3 vegetarisch) Gerichten aussuchen kann. Entweder eine einzlene Sorte oder von 3 eine kleinere Portion. Die Menge war, auch wenn es auf den ersten Blick nicht so wirkte, sehr ordentlich. Das Essen hat wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt und war hochwertig. Die Samosas wurden mit etwas Salat serviert. Ich hätte mir einen Dip gewünscht, da sie so etwas eintönig - wenn auch gut - geschmeckt haben. Ich werde definitv öfters kommen.

Eines der besten indischen Restaurants in denen ich bisher gegessen habe!!! Der Service war top (total sympathischer und lustiger Kellner, keine lange Wartezeit am Samstagabend) und das Essen war einfach ein Traum! Wir kommen leider nicht aus Hannover ansonsten würde ich hier regelmäßig herkommen. Beim nächsten Hannover Besuch kommen wir aber definitiv wieder!

The restaurant had left me with mixed feelings. The food was undeniably delicious. However, the service was lacking. The server seemed disinterested and it affected the overall experience. Bit of improvement in service is required. Additionally, the food was not properly packed for takeaway.

Bereits mehrmals war ich im Taste of India essen und wurde jedes Mal aufs Neue überzeugt. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und authentisch, sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptspeisen. Der Mangolassi ist erfrischend lecker, das Lammfleisch sehr zart. Der Service ist schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Beim Ambiente könnte vllt etwas nachgeholfen werden. Ansonsten ist alles perfekt.

Sehr gutes indisches Essen. Service total lieb. Wir konnten an dem Tag nicht mit Karte zahlen. Das Gerät war wohl defekt. Mussten durch den Regen, vollgefressen zur nächsten Bank, aber dafür gabs ein Nachtisch umsonst. Schönes Ambiente, Boden rutschig, keine laute Musik; wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant sehr!

Lovely place, good food :) after becoming out go-to Indian takeout since the pandemic it, my partner and I have been there personally a week ago and we were not disappointed. The staff was absolutely lovely and welcoming and the food is simply great! Highly recommend for dine in and take out.
