All the items from starter - main course - dessert were great. Especially, we had a perfect South Indian dosa after a long time (in combination with tomato / spicy chutney). Restaurant is near to Hindu temple (by car), in a calm atmosphere. Thanks to the kind hospitality and service by Subagini sister!

The food was really very tasty. The following things should be improved: We only got drinks after 20-30 minutes. The meal also took a relatively long time. Unfortunately, the service was a bit inattentive, so we had to call more often. One pot of rice for 6 people is not enough.

As always, excellent Indian food in a very friendly atmosphere. Although the restaurant is located in an allotment colony and therefore quite remote, a reservation makes a lot of sense because word has got around about the quality of the food. The prices are very moderate. Absolute recommendation!

A real insider tip in the middle of the allotment garden colony! I absolutely loved the Indian food at lunch. The dishes are fresh, authentic and full of flavor. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is made with love. The relaxed atmosphere between the allotment gardens is particularly charming, creating a very special feel-good atmosphere. If you're looking for good, authentic Indian food, you'll definitely find it here. I'll definitely be back!

Great food and super nice owners.

One of the best places in Hannover for nice Indian food with a relaxed ambiance. Especially on a sunny day, in the middle of kleinen garten, you can relax yourself from the busy city life. There is also enough space for children to play outside the restaurant. We could also enjoy tasty south-Indian foods like Masala Dosa, Kottu parotta and Biriyani by pre-ordering them. It's a mixture of great food and nice people.

Well prepared and sensationally seasoned dishes! Brilliant spiciness for those who love spicy food. There is something for every taste. Cozy atmosphere and competent, friendly staff.

Proper justification for authentic Indian food. The food was adapted to our spice tolerance without compromising on taste. A beautiful, calming location, free from all the daily hustle & bustle and free parking right outside the restaurant make it easy to relax.

We have been guests at Ganesha for many years. A few months ago we noticed that the portions had become smaller. Starting with starters, we were full. Two weeks ago we were there again with eight people and, based on past experience, we ordered appetizers in advance. This time the main courses were even smaller. My Tandoori Chicken consisted of some sauce in which there were 4 small pieces of chicken - simply placed on the table without a warming dish. It was the same with my sons' lamb. In short, everyone else wasn't fed up either. But we didn't really want to eat plain rice... In total I paid €30 per person and everyone cooked pasta or ate bread at home. For the prices quoted, I expect to be full! By the way, the taste was good, as always. The disappointment was rounded off by the fact that the service wasn't good throughout the evening and we had to wait a long time for our first drinks, orders were forgotten or follow-up drinks orders weren't brought at all. If the nice and competent boss had been there that evening, we would have addressed everything immediately. Friends who were at Ganesha the day before reported the same thing. That was the reason for writing this review Hopefully this experience was just a blip.

The atmosphere, the service and especially the food are excellent. The service is warm, but it's the food that really stands out. The gravy of the dishes I tried are perfectly balanced and the naan from the tandoori oven is perfect!!!

Unfortunately, quite a disappointment: the service was very friendly, but extremely slow. The food was tasty, but far too little for the price - at €18-20 for a main course I expect to be full. The ambience is ok.

An Indian restaurant, embedded in an arcade colony (former clubhouse)? Sure it's possible!! We sat on the large terrace and looked at the arbors etc. Our welcome was very warm and extremely friendly. I chose the "Lamb Tandoorie" with delicious side dishes. My wife loves spinach and cheese, both of which were found in the vegetarian part of the menu. This dish was also prepared appetizingly and we liked it! Overall, the dishes were moderately seasoned and wholesome. I can recommend Ganesha with a clear conscience. We found the atmosphere unusual, but overall impressive. All in all, we were satisfied and would come back.

Uncomplicated, tasty, friendly, definitely worth the money. We have been there several times now and are thrilled every time.

I personally didn't like the starter and the chicken was ok. The statement medium hot and hot was not true and was clearly mild. Even though we waited an hour and a half, the service was slow and inattentive and several groups that arrived later than us got their food much earlier. The atmosphere was rather uncomfortable due to the large number of religious signs. Reservation and waiting times were unacceptably long and communication from staff left a lot to be desired.

In short: -nice personel -delicious food -quiet atmosphere At first we were irritated by the small bowls, but they are enough to satisfy your hunger!

The restaurant offers an authentic Indian experience with outstanding service and delicious, fresh dishes. The atmosphere is inviting and stylish, and the food is a real taste experience. A must for Indian cuisine lovers. Five stars!

Been here for lunch a couple of time with work colleagues. The food is delicious and the service is great as well. Can only recommend this place.

Wonderful Indian restaurant. Friendly owner, warm reception. Ordered a dosa it was tasty . Ordered 1 more small dosa, owner gave it for free, amazing hospitality. Never knew this restaurant is very near to my office. Will visit again. I recommend everyone to try this restaurant.

We had a family dinner here. The food was tasty and the ambience was nice. The service was good.

We went there for dinner with a group today. We were there at 7 p.m., our food came 2 (two !!!) hours later (after we had already asked where it was). When we asked, we at least got warm plates. But they had already cooled down long ago when only the rice was served. Then finally the food! Taste ok, but not the burner. However, the portions were really very small, out of all proportion to the price. Therefore the food was eaten very quickly. We were finally able to leave the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. We weren't full (although we could of course have stuffed ourselves with rice). Conclusion: Paid a lot of money for a super long wait and mediocre and little food. We won't be going there again.

We got to know the restaurant through a voucher. This allowed us to try a lot. It is very tasty. Main course could be bigger for the price. Service was very good and attentive. Things were explained to us that we didn't know. It was a lovely evening and we would love to come back

It was only by chance that I found this hidden gem. The service and the food deserve a full 5 points. The atmosphere is pleasant at first glance, but unfortunately there are cobwebs everywhere. I would definitely like to take a look again and try the daily recommendations.

We ate there because of the mostly good reviews. I have to add that we are huge fans of Indian food and have been to over 100 restaurants. The atmosphere corresponds to a clubhouse. The food offered is average, but not really good. The korma had no taste of its own, the mango chutney for papadum was liquid, and the dishes were not a masterpiece of taste either. The staff is really very nice and attentive, but that doesn't stop it.

Super nice restaurant. Very clean and well maintained. The service is great. Everyone is nice and accommodating 🙏🙏🙏The food is delicious, but could be spicier for a medium spicy meal. Unfortunately there was a little bit of ingredients (vegetables, paneer) in the sauce. Otherwise great!!! Gladly again and then we will order spicy :D

Das Restaurant liegt etwas abgelegen, ist aber mit Bahn oder Auto gut erreichbar. Es gibt auch einen großen Parkplatz. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und der Schärfegrad wählbar. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Lokal ist sehr schön gestaltet und im gesamten sehr gutes Essen für einen sehr guten Preis. Gerne Wieder!

Unser Lieblings Restaurant! Das Essen ist köstlich, die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und für ein lockeres Gespräch zu haben. Außerdem gibt es viele Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Lokal. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top! Kommen immer wieder sehr gerne her. Bis 17 Uhr ist es meist auch nicht so stark besucht und mit Kind sehr entspannt.

Allgemein finde ich das Restaurant sehr gut, Essen ist lecker, kommt sehr schnell, Atmosphäre ist gut. Die Chefin ist freundlich, aber wäre besser, wenn sie keine peinliche Späße machen könnte, es war unangenehm für mich und meine Freunden.

Das Ganesha ist gaaaanz knapp an 5 Sternen. Familiär geführt und die Chefin ist meistens persönlich vor Ort. Man spürt, dass man willkommen ist, denn Gastfreundschaft wird hier gelebt. Die Gerichte sind ausgezeichnet, wenn vielleicht auch der letzte Tick zur Perfektion fehlt. Wir haben sie aber auch nicht vermisst. Wir gehen gerne Essen ohne Stress und Allüren, ohne das gekünstelte Ah und Oh der Sterneküche unserer Zeit. Wer indisch mag und einen schönen Abend zu zwei, mit der Familie oder Freunden verbringen möchte und sich einlässt auf eine andere Kochkunst, der ist hier richtig und hat garantiert seinen Spaß.

Das Essen ist immer wieder ein Genuss. Das Ambiente sehr hübsch und gepflegt. Im Winter etwas kühl, was an der Begebenheit des Gebäudes liegt. Kleines Jäckchen und alles paßt.

Super schönes indisches Restaurant, in ruhigen Umgebung. Die Besitzerin und das Personal waren super nett und authentisch. Das Essen kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Wir waren schon öfter hier essen. Im Sommer auf der AußenTerrasse zum Abendessen und zuletzt zum Mittagstisch. Das Essen war immer hervorragend und ich möchte den sehr freundlichen, sympathischen Service hervorheben. Ich kann das Garlic-Naan Brot und Chicken Korma sowie Mango-Chicken empfehlen. Der Schärfe-Grad kann ganz individuell abgesprochen werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Grossartiges Lokal, wo man es gar nicht unbedingt vermuten würde. Von innen toll zurecht gemacht! Sehr leckeres, immer frisch zubereitetes Essen, grosse Auswahl (auch für Vegetarier) und ein super Team im Service, das sich mit viel Herzblut & guter Laune um die Gäste kümmert! Einfach nur tolles Erlebnis. Nicht nur fantastisches Essen, sondern auch herzlicher Service mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die vorgewärmten Teller und die Kerzen, die das Essen am Tisch gewärmt haben. Klare Empfehlung.

Es war eine Empfehlung eines sehr lieben Kunden von mir, der sagt wenn du authentische Indische Kpcke möchtest dann da. Und ich kann nur sagen es war wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Und als wir rein kamen war fast jeder Platz besetzt, ich finde so etwas ist immer ein gutes Zeichen
