Affordable and authentic taste. The restaurant is more like a converted pub. After so many years and consistently high customer traffic, they could definitely invest in the decor. Despite the good food, be aware that the ventilation is so bad you'll smell like a currywurst when you leave. I like the Indian restaurant, ambiance and smell aside.

The food was okay. However, when I picked it up, I was surprised to find that they only accepted cash payments; I was also pressured to pay via PayPal "Friends & Family." The cashier seemed unfriendly and arrogant—I didn't feel welcome. Furthermore, the air in the entrance/dining area was very bad; please ventilate better. Overall, not a pleasant experience, so I probably won't be coming back. (Visit on October 26, 2025, around 1:30 PM)

Just checked again and got a korma. I've actually been eating there for over 12 years. I don't get it often, but I've been doing it for quite a while. The food is getting worse and worse. They don't add almonds anymore, the meat isn't as tasty, and the sauce is almost just water. There are hardly any raisins in it and hardly any cashews. For that price, I'd rather get something else in the future.

We spontaneously dropped in last night around 7:30 pm with five people. We got a table. Fast service, good food, and a great price.

We run Japanese cuisine ourselves and know what true authenticity feels like. After a disappointment at a well-known Indian restaurant, our Indian-born employee gave us this tip – and we weren't disappointed, but pleasantly surprised. Here, the family cooks with heart and soul – incredibly authentic and delicious! Since then, this has practically become our third kitchen, or rather our dining room, even though we can cook and eat at home and in two of our own restaurants. P.S.: I can't give false compliments about the taste – that's a professional "problem." But everything here is just right! Try it for yourself and see if my taste convinces you.

Very tasty food at a fair price.

A small but very fine snack bar that I can recommend without hesitation. I was traveling for business and, after a tiring train ride, luckily stopped by Koh-I-Noor. Very tasty food and friendly service. The only minor drawback is that the outdoor tables are located near a main road. It didn't bother me, but it's worth knowing. Otherwise, a clear recommendation. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop there again.

There are nicer Indian restaurants in Hanover, but in terms of taste, this one is definitely the best!!

Great price-performance ratio. I always like it. If the food is declared spicy, it is really spicy, but mild dishes have no spiciness. I recommend the Mango Lassie (super cheap!) and parpadam as a side dish. It's a snack bar, so the ambience isn't that nice, but it tastes just good!

We tried curry dishes with rice several times. All were blandly seasoned with lots of sauce and little vegetables or meat.

Somehow it didn't taste good to me at all. The chicken biryani didn't taste fresh, it just tasted dry and bland. You could count the chicken pieces on one hand. The fried onion rings weren't really that good either. Even the ones at Burger King are tastier. The salad garnish that comes with every dish is a joke. Too bad there was no naan bread. Serving the individual dishes on aluminum trays is also a bit questionable. Unfortunately it doesn't look appetizing 😅 What was delicious, however, was the mango lassi. That was my highlight. In addition, the staff was very friendly. Sufficient for quick Indian food, but nothing compared to other Indian restaurants in Hanover.

A very good Indian snack bar in Hanover's Südstadt. The food simply tastes fantastic and therefore explains the huge crowds. There are a lot of people sitting in the dining room, but even more come in and order take-away or pick up the food they previously ordered. You can tell there's a lot going on and that's actually a good sign of freshness and quality. We had chicken vindaloo and lamb korma and loved the taste. Definitely recommended!

Best Indian in Hanover & surroundings! I drive over 40km here every time to eat these delicious dishes. A taste experience. Very, very tasty Indian cuisine. Always nice and spicy and very tasty.

The best Indian in the world! The staff are a bit special, but it's a rustic family business. No matter what we eat - it is definitely ordered with the delicious baked bread Batura! Personally, I always eat Channa Batura, which is chickpeas with bread, a perfect starter menu for those who are undecided.

We've been going there for 14 years. Nothing has changed in terms of the very good quality and it is also super fresh and very friendly! I highly recommend this! Keep it up

Das war ein sehr schöner Abend mit dem exzellenten indischen Essen. Wir haben Pakoras,Papardams,Chicken,Malawi Koftas, vegetarisches BiryaniTikka und Bathura bestellt. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt und der Service war auch zügig und freundlich.Übrigens der Nachtisch war auch lecker. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Bis bald.

We ordered Chana Bhature, and got only one bhatura and lots of rice, it was feeling we had a rice with one small bhatura, they don’t accept card or Paypal, due to which I had to withdraw from bank by paying extra transaction fee. The atmosphere was really bad and not a positive attitude of chefs and owners.

Excellent for the price. Vindaloo was spicy and sour as expected. Highly recommended.

Great service at lunchtime, we got the menu straight away and our food quickly. This was hot and delicious. About the ambience: we sat outside and the awning was extended for us to protect us from the sun. Therefore, despite the loud main street (you know what you're getting into) 4 stars.

The food was delicious and the service and ambience were absolutely fine for a snack bar. The entrance area with the open kitchen also has a lot of charm for me. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible, which is an absolute no go for me personally in 2024... .

Delicious vegetarian-vegan, also a great menu otherwise - freshly and crisply prepared, well seasoned, you can look directly over the chefs' shoulders! Price-performance ratio is right, friendly & fast service. The fact that the restaurant is busy and the take-away service is constantly running speaks for itself. - Recommendation!

We have visited the Indian snack bar several times and can only recommend it. Since the "shop is buzzing" :D and the seating is very limited, I would always advise reserving a table, especially if you are visiting with several people. The food tastes great and individual requests are catered for. The staff is very friendly and we also enjoy going there with our children. Keep it up! and thank you again in this way!

Very good Indian food for my taste. More of a snack bar than a restaurant, it's best to make a reservation due to limited seating capacity. Take cash, no card payment possible, but there is a Sparda bank opposite. We'll definitely be back.

The food has a reasonable price. I did not like the quality, taste, and color of lamb meat. It looks darker than it should be, and it is tasteless. The bread has burned-out oily taste. I enjoyed the rise and sauce. Perhaps the chicken and vegetarian plates taste better. Definitely recommend except lamb meat

Price Vs Quantity ratio was worth it. Good size. Nothing fancy and good food. The Malai Kofta was good but vindaloo was a little bit of a disappointment. Mango Lassi was tasty. We will surely return to try other dishes. Decent service.

Das Essen war gut. Aber die Atmosphäre ist nicht sehr einladend. Trotzdem braucht man samstags eine Reservierung, um verlässlich ein Tisch zu bekommen. Wir würde dort wieder bestellen, aber dann zuhause essen.

The restaurant is not that big in size like the traditional dhaba in India. It’s very simple and very well organised place. Nice seating and they serve very delicious food. Punjabi lassi & Chole bhature are worth trying.

Solider indischer Imbiss mit guter Auswahl und relativ günstigen Preisen. Auf Wunsch kann man sein Essen auch schärfer oder milder bekommen. Service ist fix und resolut. Für die Mittagspause oder legere mit freunden eine gute Wahl.

Dieser Laden ist vom Ambiente "nur" ein Imbiss, aber dafür geschmacklich einfach tip top. Essen wird frisch und sichtbar zubereitet und die Bedienung war auch sehr nett.

Super leckeres Indisches Essen! Ich kann die papadams empfehlen! Wenn bei dem Essen mild, steht ist es auch wirklich sehr mild. Bei Wunsch kann es aber auch richtig scharf werden. Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis!

Service sehr nett und hilfreich. Papadam super lecker, ebenso die Linsen Suppe und der Chai. Beim Hauptgang hätte ich mich besser beraten lassen, mir war es zu mild. Der Kellner hatte es aber extra bei der Bestellung erwähnt. Manchmal sollte man zuhören ☺ Die Preise sind sehr günstig!

If you would like to pocket friendly tasty hygienic indian food, you are at right spot. I gave 4 because they don't serve rotis. You have limited options in veg and nonveg.. but worth to delight your taste buds.
