T.A.P.P.-Gastronomie in Nohfelden

I was there with a few other people. When I entered the restaurant, I was shocked and horrified, so much so that I was about to leave when a man with feminine nails, a wig, and makeup applied with a spatula greeted me. My first thought was that it was a ridiculous carnival or Halloween costume, but after reading further reviews, I realized that this person always dresses like that—a truly horrifying sight, in my opinion. At first, I ignored him, thinking he was drunk or confused and talking to people, and looked towards the staff behind the counter. But he kept talking to me, and it turned out that he was indeed the one in charge. After that, we sat down at a table and received our food. The outer layer of the cordon bleu was like shoe leather, and the ham inside wasn't soft at all, but almost dried out. The menu advertised a juicy cordon bleu. Furthermore, another person received a schnitzel with a sauce that tasted awful—no one could eat it—and very large mushrooms that were clearly canned and completely mushy and had a strange, bitter taste. I doubt they were even good, as one person vomited several times on the way home after eating. Honestly, I have never in my entire life been served such bad food. While I was waiting for my meal, I was practically praying on the counter, hoping that the person who greeted me wouldn't be the one who produced it. Because I can't imagine that someone who doesn't even recognize the gender they were born with... You can imagine the rest. I have rarely been so shocked and disgusted. So, I will never go there again in my life. I wonder what kind of mentally challenged person gave that slop 4.6 stars. They probably also give it a thumbs-up.

A very warm welcome, and we were seated even without a reservation. The food was delicious, too. There's so much to discover in the restaurant. Music from a variety of genres played in the background. When the bar is busy, it can get a bit loud, but you can still have a good conversation.

We went there for dinner in the evening. The food was okay, but could have been better. We had schnitzel and cordon bleu. Melissa was fantastic and a must-try. Good value for money and absolutely child- and dog-friendly. We'd be happy to return.

You always feel welcome. The owner is always cheerful and friendly, and the staff is courteous. The menu offers something for everyone. Whether you're a little hungry after a bike ride or a walk, or just a big appetite. In summer, the beer is served in ice-cold glasses. We'd love to come back and do so often.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exceptional address! A warm and authentic atmosphere, with rustic decor that immediately immerses you in German authenticity. I enjoyed an absolutely delicious mushroom schnitzel, and my wife loved her currywurst. The Maisel's Weisse wheat beer is excellent, fresh, and fragrant: a real treat for German beer lovers. The owner and the entire team are lovely and very welcoming. A place you'll want to return to again and again. I recommend it 100%!

A slight deduction in terms of ambience is because it's a huge, open space. It's really sweet that all the children's paintings are also hung there. All the walls are covered with them 😊. The landlady, Melissa, is a one-of-a-kind and a wonderfully warm person. We felt very comfortable. The food seems quite expensive at first, but when you have the huge piece of meat in front of you on your plate, which was seared perfectly, the price evens out. I was very happy that they serve Bavarian beer, as we simply don't like the usual Carlsberg here. The Bayreuther Hell came in an iced beer mug 😍. The spaetzle and the sauces were definitely handmade and top-notch. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is quiet and beautifully located. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, we didn't like the meat. My turkey (in crispy breading, as it said on the menu) was very dry and tasted like a ready meal. The schnitzel with cream sauce was also dry and tasted like a dark ready meal. There was no cream to be seen. The salad and the olive dip with the bread were very tasty.

The food was delicious, home-style cooking! Short wait times and super friendly staff! A very cozy atmosphere! Highly recommended! We will miss it very much!

We ate at the Römerhof again today. We've been coming to the Römerhof every 1-2 years for the past 7 years. The food is freshly cooked, and you can taste it! It's always delicious, no matter what we've ordered and eaten in the past 7 years. (The onion roast beef is especially good.) What we particularly like is the manager, Melissa! She's so kind and welcoming to children. That's important for us, a family with 3 children! Thank you Melissa for the consistently excellent food!

A complete disaster! We waited an hour for a bottle of water and two schnitzels. The staff, especially the manager, were so unfriendly. After a complaint, which was justified, we were treated to liberties, and then the food was served to us incorrectly. Definitely the first and last time!

It took us a long time to visit this restaurant. The "Römerhof" has been under the management of T.A.P.P Gastronomie for some time now. We had researched this restaurant beforehand (website and reviews on Google Maps). When we arrived at the restaurant, we were able to choose a free table. Shortly afterward, one of the many waitresses came with the menu. I hadn't opened the menu yet, and the waitress wanted to know what we wanted to drink. We let the waitress know that she had just handed out the menu and we wanted to take a look first. 1.5 minutes later, this same waitress stood at the table again and wanted to take our drinks. We then quickly ordered something to drink. Then she also wanted to take the food we wanted to eat. I then told the waitress that she had brought us the menu three minutes ago, and we had struggled to choose our drinks, but we hadn't gotten to the food yet; we needed a little more time. They're putting on a bit of pressure here, I told the server. After another 5 minutes, we took our food order because the server was already at our table again. We ordered: A schnitzel parmigiana with "homemade Bolognese" and French fries. And a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and "homemade spaetzle." After 45 minutes of ordering, our food arrived at the table. First they put on the pressure, then they let up considerably. The food was rather below average. Everyone can form their own opinion about the homemade spaetzle and Bolognese. ORIGINAL photos of the food are attached. Getting back to the photos. Later, after our visit to the restaurant, I took a closer look at the website. Unfortunately, 80% of the photos shown there are not from the restaurant owner.!!! Not to mention the image rights. But the owner will know that. It creates a completely different impression than it actually is. Which leads to being very disappointed with the food served there after your visit. Conclusion: The food is reasonably priced! I can't say much more about it. And future customers, don't be fooled by the website! It's more show than substance 😑

My husband and I spontaneously stopped there yesterday for lunch after our bike ride. We were surprised to discover that it is a wonderful place. This is mainly due to the very friendly and open manner of the owner and the staff. We didn't eat anything special, but it was lovingly prepared and fresh. We were there on Ascension Day. It was very busy. A rotisserie grill was set up outside, and the bar reliably provided cold drinks. There was music, and the atmosphere was very lively! Given the hustle and bustle, we reserved a table in the dining room that evening. We arrived on foot in the evening because our hotel was nearby. The manager recognized us immediately and gave us a very warm welcome, despite the packed house. We both ordered the Argentinian rump steak. It was divine 😍 the meat was cooked to perfection. For me, as an absolute steak eater, it was the best thing I've had in over a year. There was Bayreuth beer on tap, which was perfectly chilled and flowing 😉 the service was very friendly and attentive. The manager even took the time for a personal chat, even though it was still very busy! Afterwards, we went out onto the terrace and rounded off the evening with great music. We loved it and would go there again!

We were warmly welcomed with a group of 20 people after booking by phone at very short notice. The kitchen team worked overtime for us. The food was absolutely delicious. All dishes were freshly prepared and delivered very quickly. All dishes were brought to everyone without any waiting time. Which isn't a given given the size of the group. The owner is very attentive and very friendly. The rest of the staff were as well. The chef even came personally to us and asked questions about a special request, which was then implemented to our complete satisfaction. The non-alcoholic Hugo is also highly recommended! We all agree: We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back!

Creepy... Everything looks run-down, even the access road is full of potholes, and the beer garden has no atmosphere. Trucker pubs are nicer! What really annoyed us, though, were the exorbitant drink prices and the serious discrepancy between the menu (and the prices!) on the Römerhof website and the menu on site. As a result, we left. It didn't inspire confidence. The waitresses' disguises also contributed to this.

The best dish we ordered was the appetizer salad. The main courses were okay, but overall far too greasy. The fries and cheese spaetzle were dripping with grease. That's hard on the stomach on a hot day. We also ordered an appetizer. That wasn't a good idea, as it probably pushed our main course back in the order, and we got our food after almost an hour. The kids were very annoyed by this. The service was OK.

There were 10 of us there, everyone was very happy. If there were 10 stars, they would be. Price performance more than 5 stars service the awesome ambience was really great. It is highly recommended. For young for old.

We sat outside on the covered terrace. The beer was served in super-chilled glasses and the food was delicious, home-style cooking. The portions were too big for us! Extremely unfriendly owner! The price/performance ratio is completely out of whack here. Unfortunately, some of the waiters also have very poor German skills and therefore mix up most orders. The quality was also unsatisfactory, and the prices were absolutely outrageous. No thanks!

During our visit, one dish was undercooked in our opinion. Our complaint was initially ignored. Later, the plate was taken to the kitchen for inspection and returned with the statement that the dish was "fine." No alternative was offered. During the subsequent discussion about the bill, the situation noticeably escalated—which is why I called the police. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Delicious: warm goat cheese with a delicious roasted vegetable side dish, and chili con carne at its best. Excellent service from the open and friendly staff, and last but not least, Melissa, who takes great care of her guests. See you soon :)

The staff was really great, and the food was delicious. Since the meat wasn't delivered until the morning, it took a few minutes longer, we were informed of this when we ordered. The chef even came to our table to apologize and ask if everything was to our satisfaction.

We were at Bostalsee with the family and stumbled across this restaurant and were very satisfied. We received a very warm welcome and the service was top. The selection of food is huge and we had different starters and main courses and everything tasted good! The prices are reasonable, but due to the proximity to Bostalsee, they are probably €1-2 more expensive than further out. We really liked the rustic atmosphere with a beer garden and if we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Quick facts: my husband found bad reviews, I found good ones. Since we were hungry, we decided to test the Römerhof on our vacation with four adults and three children. Looking back, in my opinion, the homepage doesn't quite fit the restaurant. Parking wasn't a problem, but it was also raining, it was the Wednesday after Easter, around 12.45 p.m. When we arrived, an older couple was leaving and they were very happy with their food (schnitzel with spaetzle). There were no other guests in the restaurant at the moment, but two other couples followed about 15 minutes apart. The atmosphere is a bit reminiscent of a sports center, the table decorations were nice, you can certainly have fun there in the evenings. There were games and painting supplies for the children, which I found very nice. But I didn't want to let our crawling child crawl. We were brought to a table and were then allowed to change tables, although we didn't fully understand the condition. And the original table was too dark. When we ordered we were told about fresh asparagus. I didn't notice an asparagus menu. Motivated, we ordered spaetzle with fish fingers for the two older children, a Raumer plate for the one-year-old (which was free), then a gratinated toast with asparagus (ham + cheese) for €16.50 plus a side salad and three times a real Viennese schnitzel with potatoes and asparagus (approx. €35 per portion). Since there was only one Wiener Schnitzel left, two of us changed our orders and took breaded chicken breast (or turkey breast, I'm not sure) with asparagus, potatoes and hollandaise sauce (just under €20 + €8.50 for the asparagus). The waitress (the owner) explained to us that he would then book the asparagus in addition to the dishes. After about half an hour we realized that something had gone wrong in the kitchen. Afterwards the other two couples got their food, which surprised us a bit but didn't really bother us, even though we weren't planning on a long visit with the children. After more than an hour we started to get impatient. The boss then came to the table briefly and asked if everything was okay. We let them know that we were getting hungry. From memory I would say that it was definitely 2:30 p.m. when our food arrived. Once fish fingers with spaetzle (spätzle were fried), salad and toast, Viennese schnitzel with fries and no asparagus, he took the plate with him again. When he returned, there were asparagus on the schnitzel and two pieces of breaded chicken breast with fries and beer sauce (as originally on the menu) and asparagus with hollandaise sauce on two separate plates. That's not how we imagined it. At first we send the waitress back with the two plates of beer sauce. The boss brought them back and explained to us that we had ordered it that way. Out of time constraints + politeness (it was probably a misunderstanding) we took the food. It was clear to us that we would get chicken breast without beer sauce if we had ordered hollandaise sauce. We said potatoes fit better with it for us. Basically, I would never have ordered beer sauce. Unfortunately, once the chicken wasn't cooked through, it was replaced straight away, but not without pointing out that it was supposed to look like that and was cooked through. Unfortunately, the asparagus was very soft and the hollandaise sauce tasted like ready-made sauce to us. The two veal schnitzels were very thin, lots of breading, the chicken breast each in small pieces/strips, also with lots of breading. We personally would have preferred this differently, but that is a matter of taste. In the end we paid €140, waited a long time and were half happy. The toast and salad tasted quite good, but were too expensive for our taste, and we weren't impressed with the rest. You'll probably have better luck if you order original dishes from the menu. A smaller map might also help. Too bad.

We were looking for an alternative to eating at Center Parcs and came across this location. We (2 adults and 2 children) were warmly welcomed at the entrance. The food recommended by the Swabian landlady was what she raved about. Staff and other customers were very fond of children and open-minded. I can only recommend it and we will definitely come back 👍👍👍 Once again, kind regards to the staff from the Hessian guests.

Because the food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are fair. Particularly noteworthy is the warmth of the owner. You feel welcome from the first moment. We will stop here every time we visit Bostalsee again.

We really liked the many pictures the children painted on the walls. The service was very attentive and courteous. As a starter there was a delicious olive cream with bread. The delivery of the main course also came very quickly. Price performance for the portion size is right. The salad dressing was also very tasty!

Top all around 👍🏻 Very friendly, attentive but not intrusive service, very tasty and, above all, really fresh food. And at absolutely moderate prices. The Römerhof is not a “fancy” restaurant, but rather rustic, which doesn’t bother us at all. Service and quality are important to us. We like to go out to eat sometimes. However, it is now becoming more and more difficult as quality and service are getting worse as prices rise. It is all the more gratifying when you have an experience like today at the Römerhof. Thank you for that! We will definitely and happily come back 😊

We already ate there at Christmas and spontaneously went back again today for lunch! The owners and their staff are very friendly and you immediately feel at home. We really enjoyed the food and the prices were fair. A real recommendation👍
