On friday the 11th of october we went there for lunch. My husband, me and our 14 month old son. It was a nice atmosphere there. We ordered the spätzle for our son. He didn't want it, so my husband and i ate it. Just a hour later we got sick because of it. It is horrible to get food poisoning on our vacation, we were sick for four days. But we were grateful that our son did not eat it. It is quite a shame because the atmosphere and service were good and friendly staff.

Were here for the first time today, but will definitely be back this week. All service staff were friendly, courteous, attentive. The boss with eyes everywhere, which is all right. Special requests were taken into account when ordering. The food was excellent. Only recommended!!!

We became aware of the Römerhof through Google and there were consistently great reviews! I wanted to spend a nice evening for two with my husband! We were warmly welcomed and served very quickly, the first impression was very good. Unfortunately there was a large music box in one corner, which we thought was far too loud, but there were a lot of regulars sitting at the counter, so that might be ok for them - their feelings vary! Unfortunately the food was a disappointment! My husband's schnitzel was drowned in "paprika sauce" which only tasted like tomato paste, the fried potatoes were inedible, there's no other way to describe it, they were tough and rubbery! I can't complain about my dish, it was ok! There was a couple sitting at the next table who just pushed their food from right to left - they also looked rather unhappy. The many waitresses were still very attentive and often asked how we were. All in all, simply not a place for a romantic evening for two with food that didn't meet our simple requirements Reaction to answer: Yes, it's true we could have said something and the assumption about the people sitting next to us at the table is also completely correct. What's wrong is that we were sitting next to the box! We sat at the other end of the room, it's been 3 weeks since we were with you, I don't think you remember it specifically now. There is delicious home-made food, large portions for a very reasonable price. I can only recommend it to everyone, the staff is super friendly. It's rare to find a place like this these days, where you can eat well, receive very nice service, and you can still afford it.

Cozy beer garden and an interesting menu with home-style cuisine. The boss gave free rein to her creativity with all the dishes and thus caused a few clicks of tongues. The service is very friendly and quick. The boss is an interesting personality and she doesn't miss the opportunity to chat with the guests. Excellent home made food with a special touch from Swabian cuisine - spaetzle very strongly recommended!!!! DIVINE!!!! I loved them so much that I was offered a second portion for free (and please note, as an Italian, I am quite difficult with food ;-) ). Overall, nice biergarten (with a good selection of beers AND local wines but also from Baden-Württemberg) in the middle of nature & corn fields, a few hundred metres from the Bostalsee. Very professional and nice staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Ideal also for families with kids and pet-lovers with dogs. Really good vides :-) Melissa, the owner, takes care of each single guest - you are not one of the many, but she and her dedicated staff make you feel not just their occasional guest but a family member! Will come back for sure :-)

Our visit today left a lasting, extremely positive impression. The sauce for my currywurst was world-class fruity, the fries were crispy and the atmosphere was inviting. What was most convincing, however, was the family atmosphere between the guests and the service team and, above all, the innkeeper Melissa, who had kind words and an open ear for every table. It really makes your heart open. 🙂

Update: We have been coming here to eat here every time we visit Bostalsee for the past two years. The food is delicious, the portions are large and Melissa and her team are very friendly. We feel very comfortable here and are always looking forward to the next time. +++++++++++ Great selection of dishes. Incredibly delicious food. Very large portions. We had different dishes. The children loved the potato pancakes. The meat was fried to perfection, even the very large side salad was delicious. We sat outside on the comfortable benches. The children could run around in peace. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Bostalsee.

Delicious food, great service, great value for money. Dogs are very welcome. When we got there, our dog was brought a bowl of water and a greeting from the kitchen, delicious fresh pieces of beef. Very nice owner and friendly service staff. My husband ate a cream schnitzel with spaetzle and I ate a salad plate. We enjoyed it so much that we went back to eat there the next day. I'm really disappointed 😞 I was still thinking about the previous owner and I have to say that everything was just right, the food was very good and what can I say you felt well looked after there. The cleanliness of the toilet was simply a given. I was happy to go there. To my regret, I can't say that about the week in any way.. I invited my friends and found out that it is not recommended in any way except for drinks.. .The crispy schnitzel whether paprika or cream schnitzel or even the expensive veal schnitzel is really very questionable..I had the cream schnitzel myself and had to hold the fork in my fist to cut it. Unbelievable..The food was a mess in the truest sense of the word In other words...That's why it's a real shame because the ambience is really great...

Many waitresses were all very young and still waited forever for drinks. Paprika schnitzel should be renamed tomato schnitzel. The sauce was simply a blob of tomato paste with a few strips of pepper. I complained and the boss told me that it tasted really great like peppers and that it was Corona again and I probably had no taste. I was there with two friends who didn't taste any peppers either, they all probably had Corona. For the price the schnitzel was also very small. So no one sees me there anymore.

Went there spontaneously for a short trip. A very good decision. The Römerhof is ideally located in beautiful nature, the restaurant with its beer garden is very rustic and the staff is familiar, very courteous and attentive but above all in a good mood 😉. We came by car. The staff served us politely and unobtrusively. The menu was hearty and tasty. Our portions were generous, we were happy to order a cocktail at the end of the day and enjoyed the atmospheric music.

Food was phenomenal. I had pork fillet in a fruity Calvados sauce with handmade spaetzle and a side salad with a great freshly made mustard dressing. I'm a native Swabian and these spaetzle didn't have to hide from those from home. Service was very friendly and super fast (from the order to the beer on the table about 2 minutes - excellent Bayreuther Helles, by the way). Atmosphere also super nice. You immediately feel welcome and cared for. Absolute recommendation!

The food was very good, (and everything was homemade), the portion was generous and the price was completely reasonable. It took a while, but we're on vacation. Top price performance. We were very accommodating in the beer garden with our dog and there was even something for the dog. It was a great summer evening, thank you for this evening.

Very humane drink prices. Prices for the main course are a bit high. E.g. Creamy schnitzel with fries without side salad €16.50. Plus salad +4.50 So 21€ for a cream schnitzel!!! And be careful: the menu on the circular path has different (cheaper) prices!!! But the food tastes good and is served quite quickly.

First of all: the staff is really nice and helpful. Unfortunately the food failed. Reason: Breaded schnitzel drowned in ready-made sauce with canned mushrooms. It's better not to need any breading but rather to have the schnitzel fried naturally. Tips for improvement: Prepare fresh mushrooms and sauce yourself. It's not rocket science and should be a requirement for a restaurant. Serve the sauce with food in a gravy boat. Then the guest can gradually empty the sauce onto their plate. This gives the guest a feeling of comfort. Please pound the schnitzel thinner. It was as thick as a thumb. Nevertheless, best regards and all the best

The food was a complete disaster. Schnitzel fried too short. According to instructions, it was fried again and then swam in the fat. Absolutely not recommended. Audacity like that.

Restaurant offering truly delicious specialties. The portions are really very generous, unbeatable quality/quantity/price ratio. . Both adults and children had a great time. Today we had dinner at the Römerhof with 2 adults and 3 children and what can I say, it was a pleasure. The food is freshly prepared and the waiting time is accordingly for freshly prepared dishes. We had loin, onion roast with spaetzle and the kids had potato pancakes with applesauce, all homemade and really a pleasure! The service was super nice and child-friendly. It wasn't the last time we were there and we can only recommend this restaurant.

The service was friendly, but the atmosphere was like a sports restaurant. We didn't think the quality of the food was good. Schnitzel with hunter's sauce, the breading also looked somehow strange in terms of consistency. Very little sauce, almost just mushrooms and a disappointment in terms of taste. My wife had an Italian-style schnitzel with Bolognese sauce, very dry and the sauce was very dark, looked as if it had only been made with tomato paste and had been burned, the taste was also a disappointment. My wife left half because she felt sick. Strangely enough, we both had stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting during the night, which in our opinion could only have come from this food, as we had otherwise only had a light breakfast that day. Everyone should form their own opinion as to whether it could have come from this food or not. We definitely won't go there again because we were disappointed with the quality of this food. You can get a portion of normal schnitzel with fries and salad in many restaurants for less than the almost €21 you paid and in better quality, in our opinion. For us 0* for the food, only for the friendliness we get 4*

Beautifully converted former barn with a beer garden. Very nice service and good food. Well seasoned and freshly prepared. The portions are reasonable and the price/performance is very good. The vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries is highly recommended. You should definitely leave room for this large portion.
