Discovered it this afternoon on the circular route around Lake Bostal and was there for dinner with the family this evening. Conclusion: incredibly delicious food 🫶👌 at reasonable prices, top service 👍👍👍, something for our little daughter to color in ☺️❤️ - of course we'll be back tomorrow at the end of our short vacation ☺️

I was very dissatisfied and ordered a table there by phone on October 2nd at 4 p.m. for three people at twelve o'clock today and when we got there we weren't even on the reservation list. How does something like that work???? And on my birthday I was really disappointed and instead of finding a solution we were put in a place where we sat in the room

I've been to Kostbar am See GmbH in Bosen am Bostalsee several times and I've always enjoyed it. Food and drinks were always okay and at market prices. The view from the terrace there is also wonderful, especially when the weather is right. As soon as the next season starts again, I'll definitely be there again and will stop there again. 😉

As we were sitting at the table, our older companion suddenly wasn't feeling well anymore. We had to leave the restaurant. The service was interested, wanted to help and showed understanding. Great reaction!

Unfortunately, there were a lot of seats reserved in the restaurant and that was around 3:30 p.m. The outside area was uncomfortable due to the weather. Service was very friendly and cake was good.

The food is very plentiful and tastes wonderful. The service is friendly and accommodating and if you have any allergies, please ask the kitchen and get advice. Clear recommendation. The ambience can still be improved and it is very loud. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

I actually wanted to turn around because the entire restaurant was occupied by a party. Luckily I didn't. There was space on the terrace. Despite the announcement that it might take a little longer, a super tasty and inexpensive meal was on the table pretty quickly. Great organization! Traditional German cuisine, as well as many variations of burgers, were offered. Plus friendly and fit staff. You can enjoy a great view of the Bostalsee. The “Kostbar” is worth a real recommendation!

As a true Saarlander, I of course ordered the Saar bow. Very good, a bit much. I was immediately offered to pack up the rest. Very nice attentive service. Price absolutely reasonable. This was certainly not my last visit.

Good food for a good price. We had not made a reservation and it was quite busy. But the weather was good, so we sat outside. We were helped quickly and opted for a tasty hamburger. The drinks and food were served quickly and we had a delicious meal. It was a large portion for a good price. Definitely recommended!! Walked from CenterParcs and it is a bit of a walk, but you are there in 40 minutes. Walking back in the dark is also fine. There is plenty of lighting along the walking paths.

We went in positive and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. The schnitzel with cream sauce tasted like ready-made products. Side salad was extra and unfortunately nothing special for four euros.. The ambience is nice. Good for a drink after a walk, but unfortunately not for dinner again…

Highly recommended and great view of Lake Bostal

We were also guests in this beautifully located restaurant during our short vacation at Bostalsee. The view from the terrace on the lake is really beautiful and that alone is worth a visit. We are very pleased that there is now a vegan burger on the menu. We'd love to come back.

I didn't like the pulled pork burger at all, it was too sour. We also had fried potatoes with egg and salad, which was good, the view was great if you weren't sitting in the corner

I ordered a champion cream sauce with the cordon bleu, which was tomato ketchup with mushrooms. The side salad was included at the last meal, but now has to be ordered and paid for separately. The same with the pepper cream schnitzel, tomato ketchup with peppercorns. I've eaten there several times and it's always been very good. This time inedible! Maybe a new chef?

Super great! The service was great, all special requests were fulfilled, and the children were also taken care of. The food isn't cheap, but it's certainly worth the price. All ingredients fresh and of high quality. Food also came quickly, which is worth its weight in gold, especially with whining, hungry children. The view over the lake is great! I can only recommend it to everyone!

We had a hamburger and Mushroom Soup. The burger was on the low salt side, great if u are watching ur salt intake and the soup was on the high salt side.. was salty so I dip the fries into the soup to balance the flavor. My 2 puppies could sit with us on the exterior over looking the sea.

We were here spontaneously on Friday evening and got a table on the terrace. From here you have a great view of Lake Bostal, we had a great evening, the service was fast, friendly staff and the food was very tasty!

Food was very good On the phone they didn't want to give us a table for 10 people. We went there anyway and occupied a large table that had become available. The service was hectic and tried to clear away several times even though people were still eating. But as already said, the food itself was great

Just always beautiful. The view of the lake in the evening, the friendly service and the consistent quality. And the best thing: (almost) all dishes are available as a senior portion with a €2 discount. 😀

Particularly noteworthy is the staff. Highly motivated, not pushy and there are a lot of people there. This eliminates the long wait when you want to order something. The drinks also arrived very quickly. Everything was well organized. The food was fresh and delicious. Despite the full house, everything is fine here. That's how it should be. Keep it up 👍

I have eaten the Chef Burger very often in the beautiful restaurant with a lake view and it really is a real taste experience. The meat is great, the salad and bread are very tasty. The fries are very crispy and the herb dip is delicious. I've also often picked up the Chef Burger and it's just as good as in the restaurant and the fries are crispy too. The waiters are always friendly and accommodating. The toilets and the entire restaurant are very well maintained and clean. Highly recommended.

Arancini were tasty, burgers were dry (sauce would have helped a bit), service was nice and quick. Nice view. But the employee made a mistake in the bill at the end (charged 10 euros too much) which unfortunately only became apparent at home.

We were there at the weekend with our 3 children (4,5,6 years old), super child-friendly, the first thing that came to the table were pens and coloring cards! The kids' food was served on Mickey Mouse plates and there was also children's cutlery! The food for us was also super delicious and more than enough! The seat outside, with a view of the sun setting over the lake, rounded everything off 😎 The service was very attentive and friendly! Thank you dear Kostbar team, we will be back!

Very nice but you could give the food to the rabbit for the money. Ketchup with curry and then currywurst for a lot of money. Otherwise, service and ambience were quite ok

Very courteous and lovely staff. Children receive special attention with painting opportunities and something sweet at the end. Delicious food and drinks. Great location. Burgers, salad, schnitzel, chanterelles, also vegan (burgers and curry). Toilets are clean.

The food is good and the price is okay. The portions are decent and were a bit too big for me and my wife (takeaway was offered). The staff is super friendly and the waiting times for food and drinks are very short, even though the store was packed to the rafters! Respect. The view outside is awesome. Staying in the restaurant feels like a vacation.

The restaurant is located directly above the lake with a very nice view. The food was okay, you just pay for the view. The kiosk underneath is very well priced and is even sufficient for a small snack.

Unfortunately not recommended. After me and my girlfriend wanted to try out a new "restaurant" we went to the Kostbar in Bosen. After 10 minutes the waitress came and took our order. After another 10 minutes the starter came. After a fairly precise (cell phone time) and long 45 minutes of waiting for the main course, we finally went in because unfortunately no waitress came past our table. The waitress then replied that it had apparently been forgotten, which can happen... Suddenly the completely overwhelmed owner of this shop came to us and said in a loud, angry and aggressive tone “how you can be so impudent and bold that you can't even wait for 26 minutes... it wouldn't work at all etc. literally attacked us from the side. (His clock also seems to run slower) By the way, I would like to mention that some of the guests who came after us had already finished eating. I promised him I would write a review during his excitement and aggressiveness. He said he would be most looking forward to a review from such guests 👍🏻 A little tip: if he's so overwhelmed, he could think about possibly retraining as an arborist or gardener so that he has to work with people as little as possible. I'm looking forward to the answer...

After a tour of the lake we had lunch at “Kostbar”. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend it! Very nice service, the food was great and inexpensive. 5*

Very, very friendly staff. Had dinner there last week. Children also feel welcome here. There are crayons and a menu to color in. Unfortunately, the food and sauce were a bit tasteless and the schnitzel was a bit tough, otherwise clearly 5 stars.

Great restaurant with a view of Lake Bostal and friendly, quick and attentive service. Also very child friendly! Some of the food didn't convince us in terms of taste. 👎🏼The burger was tough and had hardly any taste. The bun was tight, the patty had no flavor and the bacon was hard to bite into. 👎🏼The fries were crispy, but unsalted. 👎🏼 The schnitzel from the children's plate was tough and not suitable for loose teeth. 👍🏼The salad plate was rich and fresh. 👍🏼The schnitzels with wild mushroom sauce and fried potatoes were great. 👍🏼 The drinks were nice and cold.

Located directly on the lake. Nice view of the lake on the terrace. We were there for dinner with four adults and a toddler. The service was great, our little one also got pens and paper straight away so that he didn't get bored. The food was very good and reasonably priced for the location and the touristy region. I myself had the napkin dumplings with mushrooms. Absolutely recommended!

Food underground.. Schnitzel Absolutely dead.. It was probably warmed up in the microwave.. or hot plate. I don't use the sauce anymore either. Good service, nice staff very hard working. I have rarely experienced such a child-friendly restaurant. There is a children's card that you can also color in, along with good pencils and even a sharpener. The food was also tasty. Unfortunately it was a little too salty. The portions are very large, and a starter would probably have been enough for me as a main meal (and I don't eat a lot). And the staff was extremely friendly!

Nice restaurant-bar on Bostalsee. Great food, it was very tasty and already prepared. There are also vegetarian and vegan dishes. Nice personel. We were able to park our bikes directly below the bar. Parking for cars is also not far. Very nice view of the lake. Outdoor seating also available. I definitely recommend this bar!

I've been there several times now. There's no question that the quality of the dishes offered there, the service and of course the location right on the lake are great. A star for that too. The experience is only diminished by the bill that follows. Of course everything is a little more expensive these days, but it wasn't worth it. Especially if you want to have lunch with the whole family. Conclusion It's worth looking for a similar establishment without sitting directly on the lake. Others offer equivalent or better services at significantly better conditions.

We were there with a small group on the Thursday before Pentecost at 9 p.m. eat. The food was very good but also expensive. I'm happy to pay more for good food if everything is right. Unfortunately, the service was very unfriendly and annoying, even though warm food was offered until 10 p.m. There were few guests in the restaurant and they definitely didn't want to work anymore. The glasses had not been rinsed and the drink had a soapy taste, but this did not require any reaction when asked. I won't go there anymore

Absolute highlight of our Center Parc visit... TOP service, TOP food... they immediately provided something for the children to paint, so they were immediately occupied. The food was excellent!!! I can only warmly recommend it to everyone... full marks!!!

When the weather is nice it is certainly wonderful with a view of the lake. When it rains, everything reminds you of a better canteen. Food average. My fried potatoes were totally over salted. Service slow. I'm used to being asked, is everything okay with you? Then I would have liked to mention the fried potatoes. Well, more appearance than reality..... what a shame

Yesterday we ate the Cordon Bleu with fries and the vegan burger with fries. The portions were good and we enjoyed it very well. Even when it's raining you can sit outside under the canopy and have the best view of Lake Bostal 😄
