Merker's Bostal-Hotel in Nohfelden

I did a one-day internship there and it was boring.

Located not far from Lake Bostal.

I highly recommend this restaurant because of its quality. The service was also great, especially because we were there with children...the best game ragout ever!!!

We stayed there for three nights with our dog and highly recommend the hotel. The staff is very friendly. You immediately feel welcome. The breakfast offers a wide selection and tastes amazing. The food is absolutely amazing, simply fantastic. HIGHLY recommended. There were also a few cyclists staying overnight. They offer bicycle storage. All in all, great.

One can truly be lucky to still find such family-run hotels. The house and rooms are certainly a bit dated, but this is more than compensated for by the very attentive and friendly staff, outstanding cuisine with finesse and game, the fact that dogs are also welcome, AND a hard-to-beat price/performance ratio. In short, absolutely recommended.

We stayed there for three nights. Since it was very hot and our rooms were in the attic, air conditioning would have been very nice. Otherwise, the rooms were good. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was okay. What we didn't like was the friendliness of some of the staff. One evening, we were sitting on the terrace, had eaten, and were still drinking a glass of wine. At 10 p.m., the waitress came and told us we had to leave; we could take the wine to our room! We found that quite rude.

I can recommend it to bikers, among others

The food was good, but unfortunately, the waitress didn't realize until after we ordered that some dishes were no longer available. This was obviously only mentioned to her when ordering and wasn't noted on the menu. The risotto was too salty, but everything else was fine.

Perfect accommodation. I was only passing through for one night at the hotel, but would have loved to stay longer. Bikers are welcome, and I was able to park my motorcycle in the spacious shed. The rooms were very clean and everything was comfortably furnished. The bathroom was amazing. There's even an elevator. The food in the restaurant was delicious and good value for money. The manager was extremely friendly. I would gladly stay there again.

The hotel's location is great. Dogs are allowed, but not really welcome. Unfortunately, I had a very small (dog) room, but it did have a small terrace. There was hardly any storage space for things for a longer stay. The room was very thin and therefore very noisy. The room was cleaned almost daily because I had my dog ​​with me. This "service" cost an additional €10 per day, including air freshener. The bed linens weren't changed in the 12 days, and towels were only changed after repeated requests. The floor was scratched, and the baseboards were dusty. The room itself seemed quite worn.

We booked a cycling trip at short notice. We really liked the hotel. The three-star rooms were correspondingly unspectacular but absolutely fine. But let me tell you: the food is sensational. We had a truly amazing dinner and a sensational breakfast. Someone knows what they're doing. Or do you? We definitely recommend the hotel! And be sure to eat in the restaurant.

Great staff, incredibly delicious food in the restaurant, and a large room where our little daughter was able to sleep in the middle for free. We'll miss the restaurant after our short break.

We only went to the restaurant for dinner and had a very pleasant evening here. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere is appealing.

So beautifully simple. The elevator entrance alone is so beautifully designed. This hotel simply creates a feeling of well-being and security. It just smells so fresh. Well, I never thought that the air feels good and is delicious to smell. It's not perfumed but it's fresh. And in the entrance of the floors there is a very nice bookshelf with many different books 📚. The colors awaken spring within you. And the rooms are so beautiful. I fell in love in my bed. The wall has been painted with a beautiful pastel color and the decorations hanging on the wall are made of bamboo. The pictures will speak for themselves. I could write a lot more.

Great breakfast buffet to switch off and enjoy

This is the second time we've been there with children and we're thrilled. The owners and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful and are happy to give lots of tips for family-friendly things to do nearby. The rooms are clean, the food in the evening is really great and filling. The breakfast buffet is also rich. We'd love to come again!

Very friendly guests. The service, from the waiter to the room fairy, was always friendly and willing to chat. Special requests were fulfilled wherever possible. We would be happy to be guests there again. The next tour is already planned.

Very well-kept, modern, owner-run hotel near Lake Bostal. Very nice service in the restaurant and hotel. Here the boss is still cooking. Beautiful wedding location (not at the hotel). The best ice cream parlor in Saarland is just a few meters away.

Had the 6-course surprise menu and it was simply incredibly delicious, from the first to the last course simply PERFECT.

The Merker's Bostal-Hotel offers an above-average experience. The food tasted very good, but there was a lack of creativity and the waiting times were sometimes long. The breakfast was extensive. The cleanliness was very good, but there were problems with unpleasant smells in the hallway and in the room. Cigarette smoke wafted through the entire stairwell, as well as a disturbing smell from the drain in the bathroom. Could be fixed but shouldn't be... The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Price/performance: OK

We were there for dinner with two people on a public holiday. We got a place, even without a reservation. The choice of food was plentiful. The taste average. The service was friendly and accommodating. However, the noises from the kitchen were disturbing.

The rooms are clean and well tidied. You can sleep very well in this bed. I liked the breakfast a little less. The same baked rolls get a bit boring after a while. The TV is relatively small and the reception is not great. Otherwise you can recommend it in the hotel. we had a nice stay. It's a little annoying that you have to log in to the Internet every day.

The hotel is located in the middle of town and therefore there is little parking space. There are some parking spaces about 100m away. For breakfast there was fresh baguette bread and rolls, scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese, delicious coffee, fruit salad and yoghurt. Everything perfect.

The rooms are really nice and clean and considering the price you really can't expect more in terms of furnishings. The lady at the reception looked after me in an extremely courteous and friendly manner, which I particularly like as a guest. The breakfast was really great and met my expectations. Regarding the kitchen, I agree with most of the positive reviews here. The dishes are extremely tasty, especially the meat dishes, where the chefs are obviously very knowledgeable. The Wiener Schnitzel I ordered was a real taste experience - you could even hear the chef pounding the meat. Simply delicious! My fellow travelers were just as enthusiastic about the meat dishes as I was. Overall, I definitely give the kitchen 5 stars.

Hotel rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and the food was also completely fine. The price was overall justifiable. You can sleep well at night because it is quiet. Free parking spaces in front of the door. Breakfast was OK. Can be highly recommended for one or two nights.

A great hotel with super friendly staff, everyone very accommodating and helpful. Rarely have I experienced a house where everyone, without exception, was in a good mood and so nice. The room was clean and big enough, it was just a shame that they were so noisy. But that was made up for by the overall impression :) we would come again!

Gute Parkmöglichkeiten, netter Service, gemütliches Hotel

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, aber zum Teil sehr klein. Das Bett in meinem Zimmer war für mich alleine groß, bei zwei Personen fände ich es eher etwas klein. Es gibt aber auch größere Zimmer mit Balkon und viel mehr Platz. Für meinen Geschmack war die Matratze viel zu weich und das Kissen war ohne Stützwirkung für Kopf und Nacken. Trotzdem würde ich hier wieder übernachten, mit einem eigenen Kissen im Gepäck. Das Frühstück bietet alles was man braucht. Der Service ist zurückhaltend steht aber zum richtigen Zeitpunkt mit Nachschub parat. Das Abendessen ist überaus lecker und sehr stilvoll angerichtet. Die Preise sind angemessen. Auch hier stimmt der Service. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf jeden Fall.

Meine Familie trifft sich schon seit Jahrzehnten bei Merkers, eine liebgewonnene Tradition.

Herzenempfehlung! Es sind die Gastgeber, der aufmerksame Service, Freundlichkeit und Kompetenz, die einen Hotelaufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem machen. Dazu noch leckeres und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Jeder Mitarbeiter war überaus freundlich und gab uns reichlich Tipps für schöne Unternehmungen in der Gegend. Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden, im Hotel war es ruhig, beim Frühstück wurde schnell nachgelegt. Hier wird man als Gast gesehen und wertgeschätzt. Wir waren übrigens mit 3 Kindern dort und hatten ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür und ausreichend Platz. Wer also ein Hotel mit viel Liebe zum Detail und persönlicher Führung sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Gerne wieder :)

Nettes Team und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Der See ist ca. 9 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Die Zimmer sind etwas älter und dennoch in Ordnung. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Frühstück abwechslungsreich und schmackhaft.

Waren heute das erste mal hier zum Essen. Ich hatte Tranchen von der Wildkeule auf Rahmwirsing mit hausgemachten Spätzle. Das war schon sehr gut, aber die Portweinsauce dazu war die Krönung. Superlecker. Meine Freundin hatte den gebratenen Zander auf Zitronen Risotto, ebenfalls sehr sehr lecker. Wir hatten etwas Bedenken, wegen unserem 4 jährigen Sohn. Aber selbst hierfür war gesorgt. Es gab eine schön eingerichtete Spielecke für Kinder. Also auch sehr familienfreundlich. Service war ebenfalls stets aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Wir empfehlen euch gerne weiter. Danke für diesen schönen Abend.

War anlässlich einer Hochzeit dort. Es gab ein erstklassiges Hochzeitsbuffet mit allem drum und dran. Sehr gute Auswahl, die einzelnen Speisen wie Wildgulasch, Kürbiscremesuppe, Blumenkohlgemüse, und vieles mehr schmeckten hervorragend. Bis hin zur Creme Brulee, alles prima. Das war ein sehr angenehmer Nachmittag in Merker's Bostal Hotel. Und auch der Service war excellent, ebenso die Getränke. Besonders der Grauburgunder von Petgen-Dahm.
