First, the positive: it's a small, very cozy restaurant where we (4 people) immediately felt at home. The dishes were all excellent. The less positive: Several reviewers have already complained about the bill. We wanted a cold starter plate, as listed on the menu at €26.50, and all ten warm tapas as small portions, which would have totaled €48. The total (without bread and drinks) would have been €74.50. First, two plates of cold starters arrived, and it was impossible to determine whether the starter plate had been divided between two plates or whether we had been served two portions, even though we had only ordered one. When the bill arrived, I was shocked: it listed "4 classics" at €32.50 each, a total of €130, plus drinks. A bill should be understandable based on the menu - this one wasn't at all. Unfortunately, this left a bad feeling, which is particularly regrettable considering that otherwise everything would have been fine.

The food was okay, but the service was pushy and over the top. Quite expensive.

This was a lovely find, based on reviews. Turned up and the outside was very quiet, however once we went inside the vibe was lovely. Food was fine, wine was nice. A lovely evening. I find tapas hard to quantify for quality. The restaurant provided a selection for the table. We thought the pricing to be very reasonable. We booked on a Friday night, and it was full, so don't expect to just rock up and get a table.

The location is perfect, especially for a relaxing evening with friends or as a couple. Went to the “Bonito” last night with 4 people and were very positively surprised. A very cozy shop with a nice atmosphere. Perfect for a nice evening with tapas and wine. Regarding the service, I can say that we were thrilled and again positively surprised. The waiter is courteous, very friendly, they take care of you and make you happy. No wishes were left unfulfilled. We ordered cold tapas for 4 people and warm tapas for 4 It was more than enough, the quality was very good and everything tasted good. Conclusion: the Bonito is a very nice shop with very loving staff who make an effort and love what they do. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere is very cozy. We were very satisfied and will come back…

The food was really bad, any sauce would be irrelevant! Especially that starter plate... They cut the manchegos thinly with a grater and that ridiculous balsamic sauce on everything! It doesn't suit at all! Even something as easy as patatas bravas was very tasteless. There was a lack of flavor and abundance of fat in everything. The shrimp was definitely not fresh, it was frozen. So etwas Unverschämtes habe ich noch nie in meinem Leben erlebt! Nachdem wir jeweils drei Tapas bestellen wollten, wurde uns völlig nebenbei und unverständlich drei mal der „Klassiker“ aufgedrängt (steht im Übrigen nicht auf der Karte, somit wurde auch kein Preis genannt). Wir waren völlig überrumpelt und am Ende waren die Tapas, die wir eigentlich haben wollten, nicht einmal dabei. Qualitat und vor allem Geschmack des Essens ist absolut unterstes Niveau. Nichts davon hat geschmeckt. Bei der Rechnung fielen wir erneut aus allen Wolken- die abgerechneten „Klassiker“ wurden mit jeweils 32,50 Euro abgerechnet, ohne dass wir den Preis vorher genannt bekamen. Absolute Abzocke! Mal sehen, wie lange die Bewertung hier stehen bleibt- lieber auf tripidvisor gucken- sie können vom Personal nicht gelöscht werden. Alles eine absolute Frechheit und Touristenabzocke!

The ambience (including background music) is very nice and the service is friendly. But: the tables are much too close together. Furthermore, it was absolutely incomprehensible why we were seated right next to other occupied tables on an evening when it was quite empty. You hear every word at the next table and have no privacy. That evening it was absolutely unnecessary as it wasn't full for a long time. The food was OK.

The tapas were absolutely fantastic – every single creation was seasoned to perfection, cleverly put together and served with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy is the quality of the ingredients, which you can taste in every bite. The service? Simply great! Friendly, attentive, but not intrusive – exactly how you want it. We were well advised, both when choosing the tapas and the wine. Speaking of wine: the selection is excellent! We enjoyed a wonderful rosé that went perfectly with the food - light, fruity and wonderfully refreshing. And then the atmosphere: a real blast! Stylish, cozy and yet with a certain elegance - ideal for a special evening for two or with friends. Conclusion: The Bonito is a little gem in Berlin. My visit from Waren an der Müritz and I took a stroll into the old heart ❤️ of Berlin (West) Kuhdamm, Tauenzien, Europacenter, Memorial Church etc. and our legs were getting heavier and heavier, we were looking for a break, but Detlef didn't want to go to KADEWE anymore, but on Nürnberger Straße to the special shop for model railways We looked through a large window into a small restaurant that looked very cozy from the outside, dimmed light and a free table by the window. We had lunch in the steakhouse at Bikinihaus and the "German evening meal" in the form of tapas was just right. I don’t really understand the hype around this place. The food and menu are just average, and the same goes for the service—it’s nothing special. While the design is undeniably cute, the tables are placed way too close to each other, which makes the experience feel cramped and uncomfortable. The cocktail menu is also rather basic and uninspired. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing that would make me want to return or recommend it.

I'm kidding, if course :) I came alone at 5 pm, as I hoped it would increase my chances for a table. It did, but make sure to book a table if you look at later dining. So, my conclusion, as the very exclusive hobby-reviewer I am: To me, this is a perfect celebration of what proper home-made tapas might aspire to. Adding the incredible room, with all its lovely details, The kind, jazzy ambience. The absolutely lovely crew. I've had such a great experience. Simply put: Not. To. Be. Missed. Thanks guys!!

Just remember to bring shoulder pads and a full-face helmet if you sit in the aisle. Unfortunately, our express reservation for a shared table was ignored and the group was divided into three tables. The location is really pleasant, lots of candles and you think this is a restaurant with Michelin stars, but this is deceptive because the price-performance ratio is outstanding. The waiter Reza is very attentive and friendly. A really likeable guy who makes you feel more than comfortable. I'll be back and can only recommend the restaurant.

On the positive side: service was very friendly and polite. Misleading name: for a Spanish tapas place is lacking some fundamental tapas: for example there is no tortilla española, no croquetas, no sangría (ANY spanish place has it), no roasted pimentones. Tapas size confusion: tapas have two sizes, small and big, we order both sizes on some tapas, to our surprise they were exactly the same, they charged the large size. Drinks and Wine Carte: non-existing, you see a lot of wines on the wall but you basically have no chance to choose. There are no options for people who don't drink alcohol. Food: was decent but nothing you cannot build from basic products at a normal supermarket, none of the options require a complex elaboration, maybe that is why there is no tortilla. The ambient: tables are quite close to each other, it is cozy but there wouldn't be enough space for every person if it was fully booked, should have less tables/square meter.

I confirm what other reviews say, intimacy and candlelight make it a perfect place for an evening as a couple. We ate well and drank better. The only bug is not having a wine list and going a bit at random but we were lucky with a good Rioja red at €32 a bottle, fair prices: €86 for two and we are very full 😝

Definitiv die beste Entscheidung, wenn man ein schönen Abend sucht. Das Essen als Tapas ist sehr gut. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und typisch Tapas auf dem Tisch in kleinen Schälchen gebracht. Die Bedienung war sehr vorkommend und hilfsbereit nicht nur bei uns, sondern bei allen Gästen. Das kleine Restaurant war schnell voll aber durch die tolle Atmosphäre und die entspannte Art und Weise wie man betreut wird, merkt man das überhaupt nicht. Die Tische sind schon eng an einander aber trotzdem ist genug platzt für ein privates Gespräch zu zweit. Dazu bei der Reservierung erwähnte ich, das es um ein Geburtstagsessen ging, als Überraschung gab es ein Blumenstrauß! Wie toll ist das? Also auf jeden Fall ein guter Spanier in der Nähe vom KuDamm für ein netten oder romantischen Abend! Wir werden häufiger kommen!

Very nice atmosphere, but very disappointed by the food. The aïoli was just a vinegary mayonnaise, the potatoes were flavorless, and the vegetables cut in giant chunks uncooked. This gives the impression of food that macered in a warm bowl for hours waiting to be served. Not what I expected. The chicken in garlic and pepper sauce was good though and the service was good and friendly.

We spent a very nice evening at Bonito. We were given very good advice when choosing our meals. A highlight alongside the excellent food was the wine.

Overall was good experience, but in the summer you could not breath inside! So hot and so many candles on adds more to it!
