Very tasty tapas. Taste-wise, I was more impressed than with others I've tried in Dresden so far.

A very nice and unique place. The welcome upon arrival was much appreciated, kind and thorough. The paella and beer were very good. The service from the head waiter was shameful to say the least. We got up to smoke a cigarette, and when we returned, the table we were sitting at had been given to other customers. Something I've never seen in 52 years! Despite the head waiter's invitation to sit at other free tables (which he could have done with new customers, rather than giving up my table), I asked to pay, and the "head waiter" even took the trouble to charge me a €99 bill that belonged to another table. Suspicious of the excessive price for what we had consumed for two, I checked the receipt and, once he realized the error, he refunded me €24. We got our coffee and liqueur elsewhere. Terrible service, good value for money.

A wonderful tapas bar with authentic dishes, excellent quality, and very attentive service. Every single tapas dish was perfectly cooked. A real highlight – I'll definitely be back!

When it's very busy, it takes quite a long time because the kitchen apparently reaches its limits, but the food is very good and the staff is friendly.

I absolutely disagree with the previous reviewer and wonder if they were perhaps at a different location ;-) Our experience at Tapas Barcelona was entirely positive; the team absolutely deserves five stars! We were a group of five people and a dog, and we hadn't made a reservation for the evening. We were greeted warmly and had to wait briefly for a nicely set and clean table. The dog was given water first (very thoughtful!), and then we quickly received our drinks. Although almost all the tables were occupied, the food arrived promptly and was delicious. We were asked several times if we needed anything else... from a cold drink to a cappuccino and dessert. It couldn't have been better; we'll be back again this weekend!

The food is okay, the prices are higher, it's a bit spoiled by the fact that the staff's English is pretty poor, but that's true of most establishments in Dresden

We've been to this restaurant several times with our whole family. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Everything was prepared quickly, so we didn't have to wait. We'll definitely be back 🤗

Even 30 minutes before closing time we were still able to get refreshments; the service was very good.

Here you can get typical Spanish paella and, even better, typical tapas. I had goat cheese with crumble on top and I could have happily crawled right into the bowl. Soooo delicious! They also serve Spanish wine, coffee, and my beloved Estrella beer. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, and the service is excellent, leaving nothing to be desired. I'll definitely be eating here more often.

Super friendly service and very tasty food!

We went with high expectations and came home rather disappointed. Letting Google and ChatGPT guide us isn't always the best idea. The service didn't do more than necessary. Apparently, they were all semi-skilled workers with no training in the hospitality industry. On top of that, there weren't enough people on duty. The kitchen looks similar, I suppose?! Spanish tapas are probably better in Spain! They're lukewarm at best, and the food isn't very good. It could be much better! The place resembles a German brewery rather than a Spanish bodega. So, it was just a well-intentioned attempt at authenticity. We were full, but nothing more 🤷‍♂️

The food here is very plentiful and tasty, but also very expensive. The ambiance, in terms of design, is quite cozy but very loud, so you can only have a loud conversation. The service is very pleasant and friendly!

We waited 1.5 hours for our food. We waited 40 minutes for drinks, which should be served quickly. But it was delicious.

Basic tapas, good food, doesn't change very often. The space is really cozy and open.

We were satisfied. Friendly welcome with recommendations. Good advice on the menu. The house lemonade is perfect. The tapas are just the right portion size and almost perfect. Only the lamb skewer could have been cooked a bit longer. Service was unobtrusive and quick.

Tapas Barcelona was one of the best-rated restaurants on Google that we chose for dinner in Dresden. The photos and reviews were great, so our expectations were high. We had a reservation and just managed to get a table because the restaurant was completely booked on that Friday night. Our order was taken quickly, but we then had to wait 50 minutes for the food. During that time, the waitress didn't even look at us once and simply ignored our questions about how long it would take. It wouldn't have been so bad if the food had actually been good, but unfortunately, the whole thing was a disaster. It simply didn't taste good, and the ingredients were clearly of poor quality. The "best" thing was the goat cheese with honey and nuts: Normally, you'd expect pine nuts to go with this type of cheese and honey. Instead, they simply sprinkled cheap trail mix on top and baked the whole thing. Totally tasteless! Fortunately, that was our only disappointment in the beautiful city of Dresden. Otherwise, we were pleasantly surprised by the other restaurants, cafés, and bars, as well as the consistently warm welcome. However, I can only advise against trying Tapas Barcelona!

We went to Tapas Barcelona during a weekend trip to Dresden. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was below average. We also waited over an hour for our food. We went to another restaurant afterwards because the portions were so small and we were still hungry. A shame, very disappointing.

We ordered two dishes from the afternoon menu: "Fleischvariation vom Grill" and "Hähnchenspieß vom Grill." The plates are large, so even if you don't eat much, you can share them and still be very satisfied. The food was delicious; the chicken was very well seasoned, the meat was juicy, and the potatoes were crispy and very fresh. The service was very friendly and efficient. They were very quick to bring the food and pay, and they also took care of packing and ordering the rest of the food we ordered to go. The atmosphere is spacious, tidy, and clean, and the background music is at a moderate level, allowing for easy conversation. Overall, it's a place I would recommend. I would definitely return, and I certainly recommend the dishes we tried this time.

Enjoyable place for tapas. The older Spanish gent who served us was warm and friendly. We shared a few tapas and a bottle of wine and enjoyed ourselves. The tapas are average. The setting is lovely outside.

We had a delicious dinner at a Spanish restaurant in Barcelona. The interior is fairly simple, somewhat worn, but functional. The restaurant offers a very wide selection of tapas. It was also reasonably priced, considering its location right in the heart of Dresden. We had, among other things, calamari rings, potatoes (papas arrugadas), grilled prawns, stuffed peppers, and chorizo Iberico. Everything was excellent! To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a good house white wine and, of course, started with a round of tequila shots. The service was ok. The only odd thing was that the bill included an automatic tip (about 8%), so if you're not paying attention and add a tip on top, you end up tipping twice. In my opinion, that's not appropriate practice. Otherwise, a very good restaurant.

The food at Tapas Barcelona is excellent everytime I come! Huge selection of tapas all better than the next. Especially Pavos are always a success, grilled octopus was a great surprise, and the cheese sauce that comes with the pork filet is the best I've ever had. And the staff is very friendly too. Must visit!

These are the best tapas I've ever had, even compared to the (non-touristy) Spanish restaurants in Spain. Very friendly service, fast food, and 10/10 in terms of taste. Even my husband, who only likes farmhouse food, got his money's worth. There really is something for everyone here.

I had wrinkled potatoes, squid, and pork fillet in cheese sauce, as well as a ham and cheese appetizer. The squid was great, but the pork fillet was a bit too raw. The ham and cheese appetizer wasn't good; three slices of ham and a bit of cheese were a joke for the price! Service was quick and disorganized. I won't recommend this place.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Our server, Hector, made the experience truly outstanding. Hector’s recommendations for both food and drinks were spot on , you can tell he really knows the menu and takes pride in guiding guests to the best options. The dishes we tried were absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. What truly elevated the entire evening was Hector’s attentive and friendly service. His professionalism, knowledge, and warm personality turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this restaurant, and if you’re lucky enough to have Hector as your server, you’re in for a five star experience.

The roast beef was marbled, and the octopus potatoes were pre-cooked and had a stale taste. The staff were initially very preoccupied, but then they warmed up. It's best not to arrive at 5 p.m. Reservations seem to be recommended, as you won't get a table otherwise. Otherwise, a very nice atmosphere and well-seasoned food.

We would have liked to review the food, but the two waitresses managed to ignore us in the practically empty outdoor area and skillfully avoided any eye contact. After five minutes, we left so as not to disturb them in their conversation.

This weekend, it was that time again. Canaletto 2025... Of course, with dinner at Tapas Barcelona again. It was delicious as always. The homemade lemonade is always something special. All I can say is, it was wonderful. We were greeted within a few minutes and ordered our drinks. After our tapas order, it didn't take long for all the dishes to be served. Everything was delicious and tasty. The ambiance, with outdoor seating in the summer, is lovely. We will definitely be back.

We ate there on a Saturday evening. It was obviously very busy, but we had to wait almost 60 minutes for seven tapas. The taste wasn't great either. We had squid rings, among other dishes, and they were a bit bland. For the price we paid in the end, we would have expected a lot more.

Bad chairs outside, long waiting times, food below average, overall not recommended

I have been to a lot of tapas restaurants in my life and I never had such a bad experience. We (2 people) ordered 4 simple tapas and it took them 1h to bring the food when the restaurant was not even full. We complained about the waiting time and the answer was that it is normal to wait 1h for tapas. If you have ever been in any tapas place, you know this is not true. Food in the end was okay but it was not worth the waiting time. Staff was also rude. Please pick a better place to experience tapas and drinks!

Great, delicious tapas, very good service. We can recommend it 100%. On Friday evening, there was also live music played by a very pleasant guitarist who played discreetly in the background.

The chef must have been sick today. We waited 80 minutes for five tapas. They were also amateurishly prepared and served lukewarm. Nothing was bad; everything was edible. The "sea salt" was forgotten. There was no salt at the table. Service was minimal. The red wine was a balmy 25°C with an outside temperature of 20°C. The recommended minimum tip was 8%. Unfortunately, I had to decline. All in all, a tourist trap for people without standards. It's a shame; I remember it used to be quite nice here.

Very, very, very great service, super friendly. They always asked for anything, and immediately brought everything. They offered friendly recommendations for food and wine. Always a smile and great food. The portions were also okay. Centrally located but quiet in the courtyard and not on the street. A great place to relax after a walk. Thank you.

As a Spaniard, I have to say it is the worst attempt at Spanish food I have ever tasted.

The tapas here are delicious. Everything we ate here was very good, but unfortunately, it's a bit expensive. The staff is very friendly, but you do have to wait quite a while for your food. A good restaurant for tapas in Dresden.

We've been regular customers for years and look forward to our visit every year. Mehmet always spoils us with excellent service and friendliness. Everything is worth the price.

The food was unacceptable. The potatoes and especially the sauce were so oversalted that they were barely edible. The latter tasted more like something spoiled, an insult. Overall, the food simply wasn't delicious. Even more annoying: We spent a total of over 90 minutes in your restaurant – not because we enjoyed it so much, but because we had to wait far too long for everything. The tortilla consisted of half a side dish, which was neither balanced nor appealing. The service was particularly incomprehensible. Although it was clearly visible that we hadn't been ordered or served, your waiters walked past us several times without even acknowledging us. Only when I actively inquired was our order taken. All in all, this was one of the worst restaurant visits in a long time. The taste and service were absolutely unacceptable.

Had to wait more than an hour for the paella, which was the Tuesday special. By the time the paella was ready, the other food arrived cold. The waiters did their best, and offered snacks and coffee, but ultimately I would not recommend going.

We used to enjoy Tapas Barcelona often. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined considerably. What a shame!

Some of the tapas we ordered were very good (chorizo, octopus, calamari). The prawns, on the other hand, were a disaster. They were probably a frozen industrial product that hadn't been used for a long time. Unfortunately, the consistency of the prawns under the breading was mushy!

Cocktails were extremely heavy on alcohol, I never drank such a bad tasting drink. The potatoes were old, dry and too salty (I know it should be baked with lots of salt), it has nothing similar to what you can eat at any place in Spain. Salmon is very dry and doesn't smell fresh. Carry chicken tastes nice, but the meat slices look like just leftovers. Pepper with cream cheese was the only dish that was good. The overall impression is bad, it's hard to believe this place is 4.6 star

If you want to eat good tapas in Dresden, this is definitely the place to go. The food was delicious, the selection was extensive, and the service was super friendly.

I actually wanted to refrain from posting here. The food was okay. Service was poor. We didn't feel like guests. Perhaps that's because it's always packed due to the number of tourists.

The table outside was fine. The small plates and bread for the tapas were placed on the table well before the ordered main courses, as intended, but the tapas were then served together with the two main courses. In this format, it was completely pointless. One main course was really delicious, but the pork fillet in the other was very dry, and the cheese sauce didn't taste anything like the stated main ingredient. The rabbit meat in one tapas was also dry, the sauce quite salty, and overall not harmoniously seasoned. In the other tapas, there was no trace of the advertised honey flavor on the nuts over the goat cheese. Both servers were curt to the point of being unfriendly, and the wait for standard drinks was definitely too long. Conclusion: Upscale prices, unfortunately, not entirely consistent with the service provided. Definitely not worth repeating.

I don't understand why most of the reviews are positive. The price is too high for such exaggeratedly small portions: €8.50 for two croquettes (the most expensive croquettes I've ever had). The paella could have been much better. The Galician-style octopus wasn't bad at all, and the other things I tried were all unjustifiably priced, in short. The price was too high, the portions were small, and the food quality was "passable" but not that good. Aside from the fact that the waiters were grim and rude, no one spoke Spanish in a Spanish restaurant except for one girl.

A super delicious selection of tapas with great drinks to go with it. It's best to order different tapas and share them. This way you can try a variety of delicious dishes. My absolute favorite is the Boquerones Fritos – always excellent.
