After a long time we are back in Dresden and remembered our great stay at Bodega Madrid. Of course we wanted to enjoy this delicacy again. It was extremely tasty.

Great restaurant! Completely satisfied. Very loving and varied menu, the wine selection is also excellent and goes very well with the food. I had the tapas plate for €20. Very well prepared, very tasty. Plus the BARÓN DE LEY BLANCO. For dessert there was espresso with milk foam. A special compliment to the service! Very attentive but not intrusive. Always there when you even thought about it. The tables were cleaned immediately after leaving. You get the impression that someone in the background is directing the service. And with so many guests. Flawless! And the ambience…well, you better look at the pictures. Full marks, absolutely recommended 👌

Very stylishly decorated restaurant and a well-stocked menu. The prices are acceptable for the local conditions, but not for those on a budget. This time I came as an individual and it was completely fine that I was allowed to sit alone at a table with 4 seats. First I ordered a 0.4er Black Steiger, which cost €5.10, as a starter there was the "Baby Calamares a la Plancha (grilled baby squid with alioli) for €7.90; as a main course there was "Filetes de Coliflor con Almendras" (finely marinated cauliflower steaks with roasted almond ((could have been a little more roasted)), mashed sweet potatoes and Brown butter with salad for €19.80. The stop was rounded off with a delicious dessert “El Flan de mi Madre” (The only true flan caramel) for €6.90, a double espresso for €4.80 and a delicious latte macchiato (with espresso) for €4.60. The staff was very friendly, quick, attentive and not at all intrusive, like in other places. I/we would love to come back soon. 👌

Writing this review from the table. Restaurant is empty, yet no waiter came to check if drinks should be repeated. Asked for a non-filtered beer however ended up with standard pilsner. Its like they dont care about customer, food is tasteless. Waiter knows we're first time here as foreigners yet didnt even consider to clarify on food

Simply the best Spanish food I had outside of Spain. Every single dish we had was delicious, highly recommended it.

The restaurant impresses with a very beautiful and stylish interior that creates a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers a good selection, which is priced in the upscale range. The service was friendly, but far too rarely at the table. We only had one drink during the entire dinner as no one asked. It also took far too long to place the order, which unfortunately spoiled the overall impression. The taste of the dishes we ordered was okay to good, but unfortunately the meat wasn't cooked perfectly: the pork was undercooked and the beef was slightly overcooked. In addition, the food was cold to lukewarm, which is particularly disappointing for a restaurant in this price range. Conclusion: A visually very appealing restaurant, but there is room for improvement in the service and the preparation of the food.

Visually top - acoustically flop: Everything looks very cozy, but this restaurant sounds like a cheap train station snack bar. No music, constant loud beeping (whatever is responsible for it), an annoying ringtone on the phone and a waiter who can't lift his feet when walking doesn't make it any better. The food is really good. Very tasty and beautifully prepared. But completely exaggerated. It's nothing new that everything has become more expensive these days. But this restaurant overdoes it a bit. Conclusion: there are definitely better Spaniards in Dresden.

A gem that we can only recommend! The tapas are incredibly tasty, the service is A1, and the location can't be beat (directly above the Frauenkirche). We will definitely come back!

The croquettes were a seasoned mass of breadcrumbs. The chorizo ​​in wine wasn't cooked properly. The patatas bravas weren't spicy, etc. The best part: the oil in the garlic shrimp. A pleasant place, but, in terms of food, not a return visit. The quality/price ratio: pitiful. Fortunately, the food in Madrid is much better.

Unfair double debit and no refund On February 15, 2025 I was in this restaurant with my friend. We ordered number 85 twice and two drinks (cola and a blueberry drink) for a total of €65.40, which I paid with a card. There were problems with the payment - the first two attempts failed, only the third one worked. I later discovered that the amount had been debited twice (a total of €130.80). On February 17th I was credited with a refund of €65.40, but the second refund is still pending today. I have already been there in person four times and shown my bank statement. I was promised that the money would be returned within 2-3 days. It's been a week now and I still don't have my money back. It's really disappointing that money has been taken out of my account three times and I still have to chase it down. That's not how you treat customers!

We had the roast beef and salmon steak. Both were excellent. The service was quick and very friendly.

Everything tasted excellent. Seafood and steak were superbly prepared. The comfortable and spacious seating also deserves praise. Gladly again.

Solid Spaniard right next to the Frauenkirche. The four of us sat at the back of the room. Since there are raised platforms in the middle with tables on them, I had a slight basement feeling. Next time I would rather sit on the podium or at the window.

We went to Bodega for dinner and it was great. The restaurant was full, luckily we had a reservation. The employees clearly had a lot to do, but were very nice and attentive. Tapas, cocktails and drinks are absolutely delicious.

I've been coming here off and on for years. With friends, partner, family, etc. My personal favorite: Papas arrugadas – like in Tenerife! The food is impressive and the waiters are always friendly and attentive!

After my cell phone went missing in this restaurant, I want to do everything in my power to avoid situations like this for other people in the future. That's why, after involving the restaurant staff, the police, the public order office and various social groups, I'll briefly tell you about my bitter experience: I had a nice evening with my work colleagues in the basement of the bodega. The entire basement was reserved for us. As we were about to leave the restaurant, I noticed that one of my two cell phones was no longer found. It was about 10:30 p.m. I looked everywhere on the table, on the floor, behind the chairs, in all the toilets, to no avail. The lost cell phone was 100% with me when I entered the restaurant. There are 2 pieces of evidence for this: 1. According to find my Android, the last login to the Internet was in the restaurant at around 9:30 p.m. 2. my work colleagues saw both of my cell phones on the table. When I went down to the basement a second time for another search, I came across a waiter who was cleaning up. He was alone in the room; my work colleagues had already left. I asked him if he had found a cell phone. He immediately answered me: I didn't see any cell phones here. His annoyed tone might not have reminded me if the next thing hadn't happened. I asked him to let me know if he found a cell phone. He said yes, sure. I asked him to write down a cell phone number where he could reach me. I might not have remembered his hesitation if the following hadn't happened. Finally, he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket (he may not have had a pen or paper with him). His display was completely scratched. I can't draw a direct conclusion, but in this context I found everything strange. There is no way my work colleagues took my cell phone. But I can't rule out that someone from the staff didn't take the cell phone. If there was a customer who perhaps saw the cell phone in the toilet, then he certainly didn't report it and simply took the cell phone with him. What is certain is that my cell phone disappeared in the Bodega Madrid and unfortunately did not thaw again. The police valued my phone at €290. Unfortunately, for me, the loss of my personal information is much more important than the actual price. I wish all customers of Bodega Madrid a good experience in this restaurant.

I visited this location with colleagues and it was very crowded at the time. Luckily we had reserved, otherwise it would have been difficult to get a place on Wednesday evening. For the main course I order the mixed fish plate. This was beautifully prepared and the quantity was very sufficient. The taste was just as I imagined it would be. The colleagues decided on tapas and were also very happy with their choice. Because the store was full, we didn't wait too long and the service often asked if everything was okay or if we wanted to order drinks.

Stopped here for lunch at Bodega Madrid today. Lunch is available for €12.90...I chose the duck leg in red wine jus and a small beer for €4... DISCLAIMER: Red wine sauce was extremely sour, the sauce wasn't cooked down and the skin on the leg wasn't crispy

As a Spaniard I have to say that it is the worst attempt at Spanish food I have ever tried.

On a Saturday evening, WITHOUT a reservation, we were lucky enough to get a table for 6 people and it was the best thing that could have happened to us. I had the fish plate (No.82) and was deeply satisfied with my order. The fish was cooked to perfection, the salad was well put together and had a tasty dressing and the aioli sauce was a delight. Only the bottle of mineral water didn't suit my taste as it was very soft and hardly contained any carbon dioxide. My companions were also very happy with their tapas and an ensalada with chicken strips. I can only recommend this restaurant without reservation and will definitely come by again when I am back in Dresden. The star deduction for ambience is because it was a bit loud for me. But that's good for the operator because it's full.

I probably write this in the review of every restaurant now. For what reason is there no 0.1 liter glass of wine??? People who don't use public transport want to enjoy a small sip of wine and not drive a car, bike or Pedelec while drunk. This is rubbish with your electronic recording. Customer-friendly is different. But after Palaver, a glass of 0.2 was divided into two glasses. But somehow things are tricky. Food is good! Good selection of tapas. Service otherwise good! It's worth it.

We wanted to have a delicious meal at bodega Madrid this afternoon, unfortunately without success. We were ignored. The waiter was apparently overwhelmed with a few tables. The guests had to go to the counter so they could finally pay because they were short on time. We then left and unfortunately can't say anything about the quality of the food, but we wish you continued good business

Wir sind gestern Abend wieder hier mit Freunden essen gewesen. Die Tapas und auch die Paella sowie der Wein waren wie immer sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war jederzeit mehr als freundlich, obwohl das Restaurant bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht war. Das Personal hatte sichtlich Stress und trotzdem fühlten wir uns wie immer zu jedem Zeitpunkt gut umsorgt. Gerne wieder!

Very tasty tapas, delivered super quickly to the table. The only thing that put a damper on the evening was our seat near the bar/kitchen, where things got pretty hectic at times and the temperature in the restaurant was pretty frosty. But the tapas are worth a next visit.

We came outside of peak times and had to wait quite some time until someone spoke to us and offered us a table. The service was quick and what we chose was tasty. It was difficult to choose because the portions were relatively large and there was a lot of fish and pork. We know and like real tapas, i.e. small “bites” or “lids”, differently. So enjoying the Spanish diversity was not possible. When we left, almost all the tables were still empty...why did we have to sit at the door?

In the late afternoon (4 p.m.) you are almost alone in the restaurant. You can feel this in the room temperature, the almost cold food and the "chilled" charm of the staff. For more than 20 euros at this time you get an almost cold and easily manageable tapas menu that leaves a lot to be desired. Conclusion: disappointing and too expensive for the performance.

Ordered extra early a week in advance. When we arrived we were told the table would only be available for one hour. They were then placed straight over from the counter and felt like we were at the train station. the food was from good to alright, the Fried Sardines, where the highlight, delicious and crispy, I could really just have ate that plate and given 5 stars, the Croquetas de Pollo were very good too, however, the tuna had a way too much sesame and the Pulpo was overly seasoned. The service was rather terrible, we had made a reservation at 18:30, but arrived at 18:36 (our bad) and the waiter said, but you guys already came, and we said obviously not and the proceeded to try and excuse us for being to late? Luckily he recapacitad and looked for a table for us. Other things happened not worth mentioning, but lets say we also waited a very long time for the water. He also did not seem to please that we left little tips. Maybe it was a bad day for the restaurant maybe not, more of a family gathering ambient.

Cozy Tapas restaurant with nice dishes. The dishes are a bit larger than we are used to in the Netherlands. With six dishes for the two of you, you are already quite full. The service was good and fast and the price was more than reasonable. Recommended.

The restaurant is very centrally located at the Frauenkirche. The food is good, the selection of tapas is impressive and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the service was poor during our visit. First of all: It was very crowded, so not everything has to go perfectly and you can sometimes wait longer. From the greeting where we were told that our reserved table was already occupied to the long waiting times, the food being thrown on the table and the complicated payment process, it was not a pleasant experience. It's a shame, it could have actually been a nice restaurant visit.

We were in Dresden for 5 days and spent a very nice evening at Bodega Madrid. The dishes were very tasty and very nicely presented. We made a reservation by phone a few hours in advance, which wasn't a mistake because the restaurant is very busy. We would be happy to come back to the bodega if we were in Dresden again.

Yes, to be honest I can't understand the many very positive opinions, anyone who can cook can do it at home with the right spices.

We liked this place. The food was authentic and we did not leave the restaurant hungry. The service was good.

Unfortunately not so great this time. The table reserved for 6:30 p.m. was noted for 7 p.m. Grilled octopus was not grilled and cold. The wrong tapas were served (35 instead of 53). Service staff only cleared away the used dishes after being informed. It's a shame, it was better.

What you pay for is the location, the rest is not worth it. We ordered one of chicken cocretas, €8.60, they give you TWO croquettes, and one of octopus, reheated, €11 (6 slices of octopus....well, Ende habe ich mich beleidigt gefühlt.

We were completely satisfied. Service was always friendly and the drinks were always delivered to the table quickly. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The seafood was fresh and simply delicious. I particularly recommended the fish plate; the portion size was just right and the ingredients were balanced. The accompanying salad also tasted wonderful. We'd love to come back!

We ordered a Spanish tortilla as a tapa and the truth is that if they sell Spanish food, the tortilla has a lot to improve. Potato is hard and not very cohesive, as well as a little burnt. For the price of the tapa, the Spanish experience is not worth it. Better take a flight to Madrid.
