Super delicious and absolutely recommended

Food: I got sick for 2 days after visiting this Bodega on 3 Nov. 2025. Octopus tapas was extermely salty. Service: Although all window tables in the left wing were free, the waiter insisted that they all had been reserved while only those near the bar very available (in the right wing) and he could not seat us there. Imagine, during the whole evening meal, all tables in the left wing remained free. It felt very strange and non welcoming at all. Therefore, never going there again myself and not recommending it.

The food and drinks were delicious, although the sangria was a bit overpriced. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere were great! 👍🏼

This fantastic Spanish restaurant is located right next to the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). We visited twice during our stay in Dresden and were impressed both times, both with the food and the friendly service. I haven't had such good tapas since my time in Barcelona. We'll definitely go back next time we're in Dresden. Highly recommended.

Visually, it's a beautiful restaurant, with great service and delicious food. I'd especially like to highlight the goat cheese. One more thing to note: the new staff, who are still very unsure, need to be given a change of pace; everyone has to start somewhere.

No one in the restaurant knows how to speak Spanish, neither the waiters, the owner, nor the cooks. In other words, the name is Spanish, but no one really knows what Spanish food is like.

We celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday at Bodega Madrid with a large group, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious, each dish prepared with care and authentic flavor. The atmosphere was warm, cheerful, and had that Spanish touch that makes you feel good from the moment you walk in. The service was impeccable, friendly, and professional at the same time. It's one of those places that combines good energy, good food, and people who are passionate about what they do. Without a doubt, a place you'll want to return to and recommend.

Spent a great evening here. Very lively place yet you can still hear your companions. Had lovely Spanish wine and several tapas. Waiter advised 2-3 plates per person - we ordered 4 each. Was probably too much food but don’t know what we would have eliminated as we loved all 8 tapas we ordered.

My girlfriend and me had a dinner at this place. I ordered a steak and said to the waitress it's very important that it should be roasted well-done and no less. I also asked if I could have the side dish of fresh vegetables instead of grilled vegetables. The waitress confirmed that I can have them this way. When my dish came, the steak was medium-well and the vegetables were grilled. We asked another waiter to change it according to the order. When he brought back my dish, the steak was a bit more roasted than before, but still not well-done and it was completely burnt on the edges, and the vegetables were not fresh, but pickled. After the meal we asked for the bill twice and still had to wait for it no less than half an hour. Moreover, after eating there my girlfriend got sick. Never again!

A highly recommended restaurant on the square opposite the Frauenkirche. Seating is very comfortable under umbrellas. Friendly service and tasty beer (Feldschlößchen/Rubin) make for a pleasant visit. The lunch menu offers excellent value for money.

Went there for dinner with friends. The reception was very friendly. We had aioli with bread and olives as a starter, which came quite quickly, but 5 slices of bread is a bit little for 4 people. We ordered more bread and it came without any problems. We hadn't finished our starter when the main course arrived; no one can eat that quickly. The salmon on the fish platter was raw... hello salmonella. The meat platter was disappointing. We ordered the meat medium and it was cooked well. The potatoes were hard to find because of all the rosemary, and everything was very greasy. As we were sitting directly in view of the cold tapas, we could clearly see that they had been standing in the warmth for a good half hour, which doesn't look right with mayonnaise. We didn't even ask the waiter for a new drink; almost everyone pulled a face like they'd just had 7 days of rainy weather... Conclusion: We won't be going back, it felt like they were being mass-produced.

Surprisingly good sangria and tapas, especially for a place located in the touristy district. Sangria with cava is a unique item, which is cool, but the traditional sangria is quite close to what you would find in Spain. Would recommend the chorizo tapas or the goat cheese and homemade jam tapas.

It was a fantastic evening. Super delicious food, fast, attentive service, and more than fair prices for the portion sizes. Unfortunately, my wife was sick at the hotel, and I wanted to bring her something. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't have any insulated boxes at the time. They kindly offered to let me bring dishes and cutlery (the walk to the hotel was short) so I could still take them with me. Totally uncomplicated and very thoughtful. We were absolutely delighted, and my wife thought it was delicious, too!

If you're looking for tapas in a beautiful setting, this is the place for you. Great location with a view of the Frauenkirche. There are many different tapas and other dishes. Many of them are delicious, but not always. The staff is very attentive. The restaurant itself is very pretty, and the terrace on Neumarkt is fantastic. The fish in my salad wasn't quite fresh, but the shrimp, on the other hand, was very good. I always enjoy coming here.

(Friendly, attentive, no long waits) We were there early (5 p.m.) with a reservation, but it wasn't very busy at that time of day during the week. We had a very good and more than sufficient paella for two people (with fish and seafood) and three tapas, which were also very good. Tapas of the finest quality for a reasonable price in a great setting on the Neumarkt

We wanted to try another Spanish restaurant and weren't particularly impressed. The service wasn't particularly chatty. We had to write our tapas on a list placed right at the table, and one of them was forgotten. It was still plentiful and delicious. But after we finished eating, no waiter was interested in us anymore. After 30 minutes, we finally called a waiter over. By then it was after 10 p.m. and six tables were occupied. Sad, but you get the impression they don't need it.

We always enjoy coming back when we're in Dresden. Friendly staff and delicious food. We managed to get a table even without a reservation. Unfortunately, it was only in the hallway, where every employee had to walk through with a heavy tray.

Right in the old town. We had dinner here for two consecutive nights. Everything was delicious and authentic. For four adults and one child, including drinks, wine, meals, and dessert, the average cost per night was 160 euros.

I waited over an hour for the food I ordered. The food bears no resemblance to what you'd expect from Spain.

It was a truly wonderful stay, and I can only rave about the food. It was absolutely delicious!! The coolest thing was, I don't normally eat fish or spinach, but I really enjoyed both there, and the chef even gave me the recipe for the spinach. It was simply delicious. Opposite the Frauenkirche with a magnificent view

A dreamy atmosphere right in front of the Frauenkirche. The outdoor seating area is especially pleasant even on cooler evenings thanks to the heaters, and even in the rain, it's super cozy with umbrellas. Delicious food, fast and friendly service. The vegetables with goat cheese were extremely spicy – but they kindly offered an espresso instead 😜 Great!

We were thrilled with the food and service, even though we ordered quite late. Friendly, authentic staff, vegetarian dishes were absolutely delicious, everything was just right, even the bread was "great." And the illuminated Frauenkirche under radiant heaters and with a glass lantern on the table...enchanting.

An absolute insider tip for lovers of Spanish cuisine! The tapas were a real highlight – especially the warm version with roast beef was simply divine. Everything was perfectly seasoned and of high quality. The atmosphere on the terrace is particularly lovely – with a fantastic view of the Frauenkirche, dining becomes a real experience. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'll definitely be back!

It was our first time there. Unfortunately, an additional tapas platter that we hadn't ordered was served. Given the "size" of the platter (more like a plate), this wasn't really noticeable at first. There were also several things on the plates at once. However, the tartare that we had ordered was missing. The waiter only noticed his mistake when we spoke to him when we were paying. No apology. Unfortunately. To top it all off, he indirectly blamed us for his mistake and made us pay for everything. After some discussion, he meekly gave in. It's a shame, but that's bad customer service! In a big city like DD, though, it's certainly bearable.

Today was very busy, and despite a rather long wait (completely understandable), we were thoroughly enjoyed. Attentive service, great tapas, and, to finish, some good cocktails. We'll see you again soon!

Disappointing Visit – Unfortunately, Not a Recommendation Our visit to this Spanish restaurant was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. Initially, we weren't served what we had ordered. When we politely pointed this out, we weren't helped at all – instead, the waiter claimed we had ordered the wrong thing. No concession, no apology – on the contrary: the service was overall abysmal, unfriendly, and uninspiring. After we finally received the correct food, the quality was equally disappointing: The meat was overcooked, the salad was dry and unloving, and the potatoes were a bit too hard. The taste, unfortunately, was not convincing – as was the way the guests were treated. The service and the kitchen were both disappointing.

Der absolute Wahnsinn und ein perfekter Start in ein verlängertes Wochenende. Wir haben uns gegen Hauptgerichte und für viele unterschiedliche Tapas entschieden, richtige Wahl. Lachstatar, Garnelen im Pfännchen, Blattspinat, Baby-Oktopus, Oktopus in Scheiben auf Kartoffeln, Datteln im Speckmantel, Serranoschinken Alles, aber auch wirklich Alles perfekt zubereitet Man schmeckt das Meersalz, es gibt Balsamico mit leichtem Rauchgeschmack … Perfekt!

Authentische Tapas-Erfahrung mit Licht und Schatten Wir waren in der vergangenen Woche zu Besuch in der Bodega, während der Veranstaltung "Palais Sommer" – entsprechend belebt war die Dresdner Innenstadt. Die meisten Außenplätze des Restaurants waren am Abend bereits besetzt, doch wir hatten Glück und bekamen noch einen kleinen Tisch zu zweit. Von Beginn an fühlten wir uns gut aufgehoben – unsere Bedienung war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Dass es bei dem großen Andrang zu Wartezeiten kommen könnte, wurde uns direkt zu Beginn offen kommuniziert. Damit konnten wir gut umgehen, zumal wir an diesem Abend keine Eile hatten. Etwas schwer taten wir uns mit der Speisekarte: Die Tapas-Auswahl ist zwar vielseitig, aber es fiel uns schwer einzuschätzen, wie groß die Portionen jeweils ausfallen. Eine kleine Orientierung oder Empfehlung wäre hier hilfreich gewesen – leider hatten wir am Ende deutlich zu viel bestellt. Einige Gerichte trafen auch nicht ganz unseren Geschmack oder unsere Erwartungen. Eine kurze Beschreibung allein reicht manchmal nicht, um sich ein genaues Bild zu machen. Ein Beispiel war das Knoblauchbrot, das für uns geschmacklich leider nicht überzeugte. Es war stark durchtränkt und erinnerte wenig an das, was wir aus anderen Tapas-Lokalen kennen. Positiv: Unsere Bedienung zeigte Verständnis und nahm die Rückmeldung freundlich auf – das schätzen wir sehr. Unser Fazit: Ein atmosphärischer Ort mit freundlichem Service und Potenzial – insbesondere, wenn man sich auf der Karte bereits auskennt. Preislich eher im oberen Bereich. Für einen ersten Besuch würden wir empfehlen, sich etwas beraten zu lassen oder gemeinsam mit jemandem zu kommen, der sich dort bereits auskennt.

An Authentic Tapas Experience with Light and Shadow We visited the Bodega last week during the "Palais Sommer" event – ​​Dresden's city center was accordingly busy. Most of the restaurant's outdoor seating was already occupied that evening, but we were lucky enough to get a small table for two. From the very beginning, we felt well looked after – our service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We were openly informed right from the start that there might be a wait due to the large crowd. We were able to handle this well, especially since we weren't in a hurry that evening. We had a bit of trouble with the menu: While the tapas selection is diverse, we found it difficult to estimate the portion sizes. A little guidance or recommendation would have been helpful here – unfortunately, we ended up ordering significantly too much. Some dishes didn't quite meet our taste or expectations. A brief description alone is sometimes not enough to get a clear picture. One example was the garlic bread, which unfortunately didn't impress us in terms of taste. It was very soggy and hardly reminiscent of what we've experienced at other tapas restaurants. On the positive side: Our server was understanding and friendly, which we greatly appreciated. Our conclusion: An atmospheric place with friendly service and potential, especially if you're already familiar with the menu. Prices are on the higher end. For a first visit, we recommend getting some advice or going with someone who's familiar with the place.

We decided to go to the restaurant for the afternoon menu, which is posted on the website and specifies that it is available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We arrived around 2:10 p.m., and when we ordered from the menu items on a chalkboard at the entrance, the waiter told us that this option was not available and that the menu was open until 2:00 p.m. He also emphasized that the waiter's attitude was rude and completely unhelpful, as he didn't offer any solutions or menu options. In short, it can be seen that the restaurant's logistics and organization are inefficient, and that its staff shows no interest in improving them.

Absolutely amazing food, the best paella we've ever eaten. That's saying something, my wife is Spanish.

The waiter wasn't particularly polite and sat us in a really ugly seat even though there were free tables and we had a reservation. After expressing our displeasure for a long time, we were allowed to move. I ordered salmon tartare for dinner. What unfortunately didn't say was that it was pickled. I was very disappointed. Our garlic bread had a hair in the sauce and a friend said she had found something hard in her potatoes and swallowed. We suspect it was glass. The salad dressing also left a lot to be desired. Some of the warm tapas arrived cold. But the location was nice and the lemonade was delicious.

We would have loved to try the food. Unfortunately, even after sitting outside for 30 minutes, we weren't noticed by three women. The waiters looked over, but no one came. Since we were hungry and the food next to us looked so good, we left. We also ate more, in generous portions. All I can say is the poor service. Perhaps they'll place more emphasis on hospitality next time.

Very well prepared, very tasty. Plus the BARÓN DE LEY BLANCO. For dessert there was espresso with milk foam. A special compliment to the service! Very attentive but not intrusive. Always there when you even thought about it. The tables were cleaned immediately after leaving. You get the impression that someone in the background is directing the service. Very stylishly decorated restaurant and a well-stocked menu. The prices are acceptable for the local conditions, but not for those on a budget. This time I came as an individual and it was completely fine that I was allowed to sit alone at a table with 4 seats. First I ordered a 0.4er Black Steiger, which cost €5.10, as a starter there was the "Baby Calamares a la Plancha (grilled baby squid with alioli) for €7.90; as a main course there was "Filetes de Coliflor con Almendras" (finely marinated cauliflower steaks with roasted almond ((could have been a little more roasted)), mashed sweet potatoes and Brown butter with salad for €19.80. The stop was rounded off with a delicious dessert “El Flan de mi Madre” (The only true flan caramel) for €6.90, a double espresso for €4.80 and a delicious latte macchiato (with espresso) for €4.60. The staff was very friendly, quick, attentive and not at all intrusive, like in other places. I/we would love to come back soon. 👌
