Typical tapas selections. Most items were good or even slightly better than good. Lunch on the sidewalk was nice, and service was good.

At 8 p.m. it was very crowded and without a reservation we had to wait a short while. This also caused the order to take a little longer. The food came quickly and tasted very good. It wasn't cheap, but worth a visit.

Great location & cozy atmosphere at the church. The staff was friendly throughout, we were there around 1 p.m. on Saturday and it was very well attended. Accordingly, the waiting times were acceptable. The food was super tasty and freshly prepared. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. We'd love to come back.

Very nice location with shady outdoor seating in a small square. Very nice service too! Only the tapas could be a little bigger for the price; or you can offer them a little cheaper - the portions are quite small. ;-)

A very pretty restaurant in a baroque style house with a beautiful shaded terrace. The food is excellent and the prices very affordable. A special mention for the service and particularly Mo who was very professional. Very grateful for the excellent service.

Pro: the ambience in front of the church, musicians on the church square. Nothing to do with the restaurant. But of course they benefit from it. Con: forever waiting time, in the first hour there was only 1 drink for everyone, a basket of dry bread was put away pretty quickly, no dip or spread - it came 30 minutes later. Table with 4 now hungry people after 1 hour of waiting 1 of 15 tapas came then again for 20 minutes there was no movement. Conclusion: on weekends and in summer when things are busy, we prefer to eat somewhere else. Staff is terribly unfriendly, incomprehensible, you feel like you're in a tourist trap. Maybe it is too... thanks for nothing

The food was good, the outside area was very nice as it was right on the square of the Epiphany Church. We had to wait a relatively long time (approx. 30-40 minutes) for the TAPAS. The food itself was really good, but there was no written indication that three tapas per person had to be chosen/paid for. Before 2 p.m. during the week you get 3 for the price of 2. Of course we were there after 2 p.m. The tip about Friday tapas only came from an employee after we had already ordered and received drinks. Prices per tapas vary between €6.50 and €09.50 and correspond to a full meal.

First of all, you can say that the food was very good. Unfortunately, no matter how good the food is, it is ruined by the service. It would certainly look good on a table if it was prepared for the guests, but at least you should expect it to be clean. We had a large bottle of water and a bottle of wine, everything carelessly placed in the middle of the table along with a wine cooler (made of plastic). Pouring would have been nice, but I would have expected the waiter to at least put the wine in the cooler. Then a wine glass had a big crack - when the waiter pointed this out, it took over 10 minutes to get a new glass, which then had the almost identical crack... The meal was already half finished when a second glass was finally brought . To be fair, the place was packed and the waiters seemed understaffed. But they always found time to talk (Arabic) in groups of three.

We have been here in the past. It has now diminished enormously. Tapa’s didn’t taste good. Very coarsely seasoned. Meat quality is not good - extremely mixed. No further visit for us.

Anyone who knows anything about tapas will not be disappointed here! Everything was perfect. The tapas taste like you would expect from a real Spaniard. The service was great, very attentive. Who is nearby Must come here. ❤️

This restaurant visit was the worst visit to a Spanish restaurant we have ever had in Germany. A small recommendation for anyone who is looking for a good Spanish restaurant in Dresden. Tapas Tapas just opposite. The food there is original and delicious, just like in Andalusia. But back to the restaurant. A liter of Sangria (tourist trap and nothing that is typically Spanish but Tinto de Verano ;) ) for 45 euros. Absolute rip-off. In Spain, olives are served for free as a snack with drinks; here they cost !6 euros! Albondigas (meatballs in almond sauce, for example) in a spicy nacho sauce that couldn't be further from the Spanish original. There are also 2 small balls for 6 euros. Now comes the best example. A hot mojito is offered as a cocktail and the staff say that mojito is always served hot. Patatas Bravas with “Alioli” (potato wedges) cooked instead of fried. The aioli was not alioli. Mexican snacks like nachos are offered as Spanish food. Very “authentic”. There were a lot of good things said about this restaurant in advance, but unfortunately this could not be confirmed.

A simply wonderful restaurant. We have visited this place multiple times now, each time trying out new meals and returning to favourites. Every person we took found something to their taste, and was happy to return. Would especially recommend the tomato-garlic bread and the creme catalana. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable, and the waiter (in our case Mo) clealry knows the menu, the wine and what he is doing. Every detail, from decoration to plates perfectly matches, creating a wonderful experience every time.

Essen und Getränke waren echt super

ohne Reservierung sehr unkompliziert und freundlich Platz verschafft. Tappas gut und ausreichend.

Wir waren zum Jahreswechsel ein paar Tage in Dresden. Wir haben zufällig diese Tapas Bar entdeckt und konnten kurzfristig mit 4 Personen Platz bekommen. Normalerweise ist es ohne Vorbestellung eher schwierig Platz zu finden. Personal war sehr nett und das Essen lecker.

Abends bestimmt romantischer und uriger als mittags, aber die Bedienung war sehr nett und das Essen wirklich lecker. Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal da und haben immer gut gegessen und getrunken. Bedienung auf zack. Die Toiletten könnten mal renoviert werden.

Ich habe mit drei Kolleginnen im El Espanol zu Mittag gegessen. In dieser Zeit steht eine spezielle Mittagskarte mit vergleichsweise günstigeren Angeboten zur Verfügung. Ich hatte ein Rinderhüftsteak mit hausgemachten Kartoffelwedges sowie Salat. Insgesamt hat es mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich habe selten ein vergleichbar zartes Hüftsteak gegessen. In Verbindung mit einem Gericht der Mittagskarte kann man ein kleines alkoholfreies Getränk für nur 2,10 € dazu bestellen. Auch der Service und das Ambiente waren angenehm. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Waren das erste Mal da und können nur sagen sehr lecker. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder..

Ein Abend im spanischen Restaurant "El Espanol" in Dresden Neustadt ist wie eine kulinarische Siesta für den Gaumen. Die Tapas sind so lecker, dass selbst meine Geschmacksknospen Flamenco tanzen. Das einzige Drama ist, wenn man spontan an einem Samstagabend auftaucht und das Restaurant voll ist. Da hilft nur, sich auf die Warteliste zu setzen und in Gedanken schon mal ein paar imaginäre Tapas zu genießen. Reservieren ist definitiv der Schlüssel zum gastronomischen Flamenco-Erfolg! 💃🍤

Hi we visited this restaurant after the famous Christmas market in Dresden. The food and drinks were so good but we were totally disappointed due to bad attitude and service from a single employee. He felt serving to us was charity threw the bread basket to our table which we felt bad but thought may be he had a hectic day. After sometime he accidentally dropped a fork on my friend’s head and doesn’t even bother to apologise. May be he had a very bad day but to us we will never ever wish to dine in this restaurant again. This is a perfect example how a single person can ruin the experience for the guests and reputation of the firm.

Haben am Freitag mit drei Paaren ausgezeichnet gegessen und getrunken. Der Service war toll und es war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Ich habe mich gefreut, eine gute Empfehlung ausgesprochen zu haben. Selbst nachträgliche Fragen zur Abrechnung, wurden umgehend geklärt. Die Tapas sind sehr reichhaltig und man kommt tatsächlich mit drei bis vier aus, aber die Speisekarte lässt einem eben keine Ruhe. Ich komme gerne wieder. Danke an das Team.

Das Essen war sehr köstlich. Auch für Veganer ist einiges dabei! Schönes Abmiente, freundlicher Service.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente ist super.

Mehrere Runden Tapas für stabiles Geld. Vieles hat sehr lecker geschmeckt, Leber & Co sind individuell nicht mein Geschmack. Kellner waren bemüht. Abzug für den völlig überzogenen Sangria-Preis, dazu noch gefühlt stark nachgezuckert.

Wir waren am Freitag auf dem Heimweg ganz spontan hier. Wir hatten auch Glück, denn ein Tisch war noch frei... das Essen war einfach lecker, wir lieben die Vielfalt und die tollen Gerichte hier...von allem etwas probieren...wer Spanisch mag,sollte hier mal einkehren. Wir kommen definitiv wieder...die Gegend lädt danach auch noch zu einem Spaziergang ein ;)

Que desgracia. Les voy a decir algo: 1) la musica.. tenían puesto salsa erótica de los 80, esto es lo que se escucha en latinoamerica en el transporte público, jamas en un restaurante. La música no tenía nada que ver con España, la cual le recomiendo buscar en Spotify sevillanas. 2) la comida.. los embutidos que utilizaron son de muy baja calidad.

Hatten Glück einen Tisch zu bekommen. Das Essen kam schnell und hat super geschmeckt. Sind tief zufrieden wieder gegangen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen wärmstens zu empfehlen. Man fühlt sich dort wohl.

Super Tapas, lecker und schnell serviert

Beim schlenzen durch die Neustadt durch Zufall entdeckt und beschlossen es mal zu Probieren und wir haben es nicht bereut. Ohne Reservierung noch ein Platz bekommen, also am besten reservieren auch unter der Woche sehr voll, was ein gutes Zeichen ist. Der Service war herausragend, auf Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Speisen empfohlen und man fühlte sich sofort Pudelwohl. Die unterschiedlichen Tapas waren ein Traum, die Getränke, besonders die Limo des Monats ein Traum. Hat uns so sehr gefallen, das wir für den nächsten Tag gleich wieder bestellt hatten um uns weiter durch die Speisekarte zu futtern.

Schnelle Bedienung, aber viel Hektik.

Wir hatten heute das Mittagsmenue, fast 1 Stunde auf die geschmorte Haxe gewartet. Ein fettiges Etwas in wässriger Sauce, man wurde satt. Sorry, das geht besser

Wir waren in der Vergangenheit einige Male mit Kunden +8 Personen bei "El Espanyol" essen und waren immer happy. Heute hatten wir mal etwas kleiner für 4 Personen reserviert und wurden wahrscheinlich aufgrund von größeren Gruppen einfach aus dem Reservierungsbuch gestrichen (hab's mit eigenen Augen 👀 gesehen) und wurden einfach weggeschickt. Das ist keine Art und Weise. Wir kommen nie wieder und auch der Rest der Widmann Gastronomie Gruppe wird uns so schnell nicht mehr sehen.

Leckeres Essen. Freundliche Bedienung. Allerdings sehr teuer für immer kleiner werdende Portionen. Die Leber musste ich zwischen all den Äpfeln suchen.

Ich hätte gern über Essen und Trinken geschrieben, aber zwischen 15.40 und 16.00 uhr ist nicht viel los, dennoch konnte ich nicht bestellen, da kein Personal meine Bestellung annahm. Ich wurde nicht beachtet, und nach fast 20 Minuten bin ich ohne Bestellen zu können gegangen.

Absolut stimmiger freundlicher Service. Das Essen war toll und auf den Punkt. Preis-Leistung top.

Edit: Macht es natürlich besser meine Bewertung bei Google zu löschen versuchen. Dann kann ich jetzt aus guten Grund - wegen nicht vorhandenen Kundenservice und einer aggressiven Verhaltensethik - auch den letzten Stern abziehen. Das Olivenöl war lecker. Schade, wie wenig Geschmack die meisten Menschen beweisen, grade wenn es um Tapas geht. Die Gerichte sind in gewohnter Größe, der Serrano Schinken ist viel zu dick geschnitten und die Würze fehlt eindeutig bei den Gerichten. Bei der Aufmachung fang ich gar nicht erst an. Zwei Sterne gibt es für die nette Atmosphäre auf dem Platz draußen.

Sympathisch, aufgeschlossene super nette Bedienung. Einfach der richtige Rahmen für einen schönen Abend zu zweit oder auch in einer Gruppe.

Wir sind durch Zufall im El Espanol gelandet und hatten keinen Tisch reserviert. Aber die Servicekräfte waren so freundlich uns einen Tisch bereitzustellen. Wir hatten leckere Speisen und Getränke bestellt und waren sehr zufrieden!

Ich liebe dieses Restaurant! Zur kalten Jahreszeit bietet es ein fantastisch rustikales Ambiente und im Sommer sitzt es sich direkt davor einfach so toll, dass es sich allein schon lohnen würde, nur um etwas zu trinken zu kommen. Aber der wirkliche Grund bliebe einem damit verborgen. Denn die Speisekarte ist der Wahnsinn. Das tolle an einem Spanier ist, dass wenn man sich nicht entscheiden kann, einfach alles nehmen kann. Tapas eben. Genau so haben wir es gemacht und es war unfassbar lecker. Bitte probiert es aus!

Das Essen war ja wirklich gut. Bedingt war gereizt. Denke es lag daran, dass alle Tische belegt waren. Es folgten einige Missverständnis die ich gut aus ausbügeln konnte, jedoch ist das nicht meine Aufgabe als Gast. Wir erhielten Brot, mit Schinken. Wer zum Teufel ist in Spanien trockenes Brot mit trockenem Schinken?! Also sie hatten wenigstens einen Teller mit Olivenöl dazu legen können. Un malentendido de la hospitalidad española!

Essen super, Service etwas unterbesetzt und Stühle im Biergarten een bisschen hart. Aber sonst ein toller, leckerer Abend!

Wir waren an einem Sonntag gegen 16.00 Uhr hier essen. Getränke gut aber teuer. (0,33er Estrella 4.20 €). Essen war früher viel besser das heist frischer wärmer und reichlicher. Preise auch hier teurer geworden. Service war unaufmerksam und machte eher einen lustlosen Eindruck mit welchem auch die bestellten Sachen an den Tisch gebracht wurden. Alles in allem: Teure Touristenabzocke . Hier will wiedermal jemand mit Gewalt und fehlender Liebe zum Beruf reich werden . Als Einheimische werden wir hier nicht mehr hingehen.

Normalerweise dort ist alles gut, aber an den Tag müssen wir die Mittagspause opfern für die Wartezeit auf das Essen. Und für Flasche stilles Wasser (0,75 l) 6,80 Euro bezahlt ! Ist das in Ordnung El Espanol ???

Wenn wir in Dresden sind, gehen wir mindestens einmal hierhin. Drinnen gemütlich. Draussen sitzt man auf dem Platz gegenüber unter Schirmen vor der Kirche. Das Essen ist lecker, die Bedienung flott und freundlich. Total lecker war die Hauslimonade!

Wir konnten im außenbereich noch einen Tisch ergattern. Tapas sind lecker Bedienung ist schnell. Ich würde eine Reservierung empfehlen.
