Tapa Restaurant Empanada Heppenheim in Heppenheim (Bergstraße)

The tables are a bit small for all the delicious tapas that are available here. In some cases, prefabricated goods are obviously used, which doesn't affect the taste but prevents the fifth star. Nevertheless: You sit in the right atmosphere and eat well. Has its price. But definitely recommended.

Very large selection of tasty tapas and also great main courses. There is also outdoor dining on the historic market square, where you can enjoy coffee and cake or a good wine in front of a wonderful backdrop. The location is highly recommended.

We were here as a group and had reserved. The service was excellent. And the food too.

Tapas (bacon-wrapped dates, anchovies) were below average in terms of taste, baguette VERY simple. I don't understand why MANY restaurateurs don't want to easily score points with a decent (baguette/white) bread from a baker?! Game meat was good, but the preparation was only mediocre. Ambience good, location great, service ok.

I think the employees have racial discrimination. They asked the German couples sitting next to us how they felt about the food but never asked us about it. What was worse, they even didn’t provide us with plates. I would never recommend this restaurant.

Very, very tasty tapas that bring back holiday memories. The two of us had 6 different ones. It was a good portion for both of us. We will definitely come back!

In the evening, when the weather is nice, the clear recommendation is to find a table outside and enjoy this wonderful place. The food is very tasty and most people can find the right drink here. After a very long bike ride, we stopped at the market square and treated ourselves to a wine in the empanada at the end of the tour. The service was super friendly and accommodating and, above all, quick. The wine was very tasty. Unfortunately we can't say much about the food. The restaurant is worth visiting simply because it is located right on the market square. Have fun and enjoy your meal

Almost everything to our satisfaction. Staff attentive and friendly and not intrusive. We sat outside which was also very nice. Registered for a birthday party but there was no attention from the house for the main guest😞. But be careful, only residents can park in the area, please use the parking garage

Friendly, courteous service and delicious taps. Even though we had reserved inside, we still got a table in the market square. Drinks and tapas arrived in a short time despite the large number of guests. We really enjoyed the tapas (ordered several for 4 people). We'd love to come back again.

When I wanted to find out more about the menu, the service person seemed to be a slightly older gentleman, very annoyed and not at all courteous. Kicked his back and wasn't interested in me at all. Such a bad mood in such beautiful weather is unacceptable

Delicious food but terrible service The three of us ate there today on the market square. Aside from it being an expensive story, I expect excellent service. The waiter, who constantly walked past our place humming and singing to get to other guests and serve them, was quite annoying. Here men are served first, instead of women. You can just tell that the staff is untrained. Pretty annoying.

The service is subpar and can't be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness. The waiter even groaned when I wanted to pay with a card because he had to run back in to get the card reader. Never again!

Restaurant is located in the old town of Heppenheim. Sitting outside is a bit sloping, but you feel comfortable. Service was ok, they made an effort. Tapas were tasty, but were not served very warm. If it's full you have to wait a while for your food. Price ok

Das Essen in diesen Restaurant ist sehr lecker, was wiederum unterirdisch ist, ist die Bedienung da ich leider sehr jung für mein Alter aussehe wurde beim bestellen eines Bieres nach den Ausweis gefragt (was nicht weiter schlimm ist), darauf hin wurde sich aber darüber Witzig gemacht das ich kein Bart trage und mir im Gesicht rum getätschelt was für mich unmöglich ist und mich Tiefs beleidigt hat. Wie schon gesagt das Essen war sehr gut aber wie mit den Kunden umgegangen wird ist unmöglich. Komme sicher nicht wieder!

I originally gave this Spaniard 4 stars years ago. Since then I've been here a few times and it's gotten worse from time to time. Today the food was no longer enjoyable at all. Everything is a bland uniformity, salad is loveless, beans are boring, calamari is really pure rubber and has no taste, tortilla wrap is unbelievably soggy, overcooked, chicken is dry. Whatever change there has been in the kitchen, it has conformed Restaurant not done well… That's really a pity. Unfortunately we won't be coming back for a while...

Fantastisch gelegen restaurant in het historische centrum van Heppenheim. De tapaskaart heeft prima keuzes, de bediening is vriendelijk en de prijzen zijn redelijk. Het eten is bovendien van prima kwaliteit. Een aanrader.

08/15 Geschmack, Aioli mit sehr viel Majonaise, Scampi relativ neutral in weisser Sauce, Salzkartoffelkrustis habe ich auch schon kräftiger gegessen, Hühnchen in weisser Sauce war ok..... Service aufmerksam und freundlich aber sehr schnell. Aus unserer Sicht geht's auf jeden Fall besser !

Were there around lunchtime in pretty bad weather. The restaurant was the only one in the market that was open at lunchtime. The service was very nice, we had two fish dishes. Just a small point of criticism: If you write "Spanish potatoes" on the menu, then you should offer them and not simple potato wedges. Nevertheless, this can be forgiven because the fish was simply fantastically prepared and very tasty with the side dishes.

Very fresh, well-seasoned dishes, well prepared and generous portions. Spontaneously today. Had lunch there, we'd love to come back. Recommendation: show more clearly that you are also open at lunchtime, for example with displays. Despite the light inside, it doesn't appear bright outside and the information on the map can only be read directly in front of it.

The service and the kitchen were overwhelmed. We had to wait over 45 minutes for 2 tapas and enchiladas, even though not all tables were occupied. Also overpriced for the quality. One of the tapas was also too salty.

We stopped at this restaurant with a friend. The place was empty because the weather wasn't nice but we still sat outside to admire the place. We took two beers. The staff (particularly one waiter) was very rude. They kept asking us if we just wanted beer or even with some pretty annoying food. When we got up to pay we were told we couldn't pay for the two beers with a card. The options were poor, with a lot of discussion, because according to the waiter we had to ask before we sat down if we could pay by card. We had no cash to withdraw for. While my friend went to the bank, the waiter made out with other customers of ours. Absolutely not recommended for personal mode. For your information we were told that payment by card is only over €25.

Wir hielten in diesem Restaurant mit einem Freund. Der Ort war leer, weil das Wetter nicht schön war, aber wir saßen immer noch draußen, um den Platz zu bewundern. Wir nahmen zwei Bier. Das Personal (insbesondere ein Kellner) war sehr unhöflich. Sie fragten uns immer wieder, ob wir nur Bier wollten oder sogar mit ziemlich nervigen Essen. Als wir aufstanden, um zu bezahlen, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir die beiden Biere nicht mit Karte bezahlen können. Die Möglichkeiten waren schlecht, mit viel Diskussion, denn laut Kellner mussten wir fragen, bevor wir uns setzten, ob wir mit Karte bezahlen könnten. Wir hatten kein Bargeld, für das wir abgehoben haben. Während mein Freund zur Bank ging, hat der Kellner mit anderen Kunden von uns rumgemacht. Absolut nicht für den Personalmodus empfohlen. Zu Ihrer Information wurde uns gesagt, dass die Zahlung mit der Karte ist nur über 25 €.

We were there with several people. The food (the burger) was super tasty. The prices are absolutely humane and almost cheap compared to other restaurants. The waitress was there quite often and asked for drinks, so you were never left high and dry ;) The only drawback was actually the lighting. Yes, you like it a little darker and quieter but it was almost dark 😅 only the candles on the table didn't provide much light for browsing through the food menu.

Very good food, friendly service, well attended, that is to say: full to the last seat on Saturday, be sure to make a reservation; pleasant atmosphere, you can feel that the other guests like it as much as I do.

I have been at this restaurant during the summer and the food was just fabulous. We were three of us and each had different dish and everyone enjoyed it to the last bite. However, second visit in winter time was rather disappointing. I had goat cheese salads. It is so easy to make, that it is safe to order almost anywhere and usually wouldn't be bad, but this time it was just awful. The salads were watery and only one kind, the goat cheese was something like frozen goat cheese croquette, which should not be acceptable. Better take the salads out the menu if you joke with a dish like that! And the price was the same as for a normal dish! 17 EU for cheapest salads and frozen cheese. Disgraceful. My family was also not very fascinated with their dishes. (Stake and burrito).

Very centrally located with a nice view of the Altstadt. We were surprised with the attentiveness of ste staff and the speed at which they brought the food. Tapas tasted pretty good, but the desert was a bit of an disappointment. Overall this was a 5 star experience.

Kleines, enges, liebevoll dekoriertes und mit typisch kleinen Tischen ausgestattetes spanisches Restaurant. Das Speisen- und Getränkeangebot ist übersichtlich, aber absolut trotzdem vielseitig, das wechselnde Tagesangebot rundet dies ab. Wenn es voll ist, kann es aufgrund der sehr kleinen Küche auch mal länger dauern, das Warten lohnt sich und der Service ist sehr freundlich. Wir waren zu viert, saßen in einer Nische im Erdgeschoss, am Rand des Restaurants und konnten den weihnachtlich geschmückten Heppenheimer Marktplatz genießen. We shared tapas (shrimp, chorizo, chicken in mango sauce, mushrooms, potatoes, garbanzos, regular bread and garlic bread) everything was amazing! Drinks were fantastic. All very reasonably priced. Everyone was very nice!

Gehobene Preise für qualitativ gutes Essen. Tapas waren allesamt gut, mein Burrito schmeckte außergewöhnlich, nicht das übliche... Sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren schon oft dort, das Restaurant ist wirklich wunderschön und das Essen absolut zu empfehlen...super Service Auch mit Kindern zu empfehlen, war sehr angenehm

Toller Außenbereich, mitten in der historischen Altstadt. Der Kellner wirkte gestresst und schlecht gelaunt, was sich später bei der Bestellung auch verbal zeigte. Jeder hat mal einen schlechten Tag. Das Essen war OK, aber nichts besonderes. Bei den Tapas hat durchgängig Salz gefehlt, der "Burger" sah zwar gut aus, war aber nicht essbar weil es einfach zwei ungleichmäßig dicke, lange, breite Rumpsteak aufeinander gelegt mit Bun war. Das war instabil und eigentlich auch kein Burger. Man musste das Teil auseinander bauen im es essen zu können. Netter Ansatz aber für den Gast so nicht essbar. Preis OK wir kommen aber nicht wieder.

Leckeres Essen in stimmigem Ambietene und toller Service. Sollte man definitiv mal besucht haben, wenn man in Heppenheim ist und gerne Tappas isst!

Tapas schmecken sehr gut allerdings etwas zu wenig für den Preis. Die jüngere Bedienung ist nett und zuvorkommend allerdings ist der ältere Herr mit der Brille sehr unfreundlich. Er war ständig am meckern und sehr sehr unfreundlich finde ich persönlich unangemessen in der Gastronomie. Die restlichen Mitarbeiter sehr nett.

Das Essen schmeckt aber es ist nicht viel im Teller und relativ teuer. Die Bedienung war nicht freundlich und hat uns sogar angelogen…

Es war mein erster Besuch hier und ich war sehr zufrieden.Alleine das tolle Ambiente des Marktplatzes ist bereits einen Besuch wert.Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen war vollkommen okay.Kein Überflieger aber definitiv nicht schlecht! Die Preise haben es in sich aber das weiß man ja vorher.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Es dauerte alles relativ lange, da das Restaurant doch gut besucht ist. Das beste ist die Location. Der Marktplatz ist wirklich sehr schön und ich genieße es sehr hier im Sommer draußen zu sitzen. Die Preise sind zu hoch für das was an Essen geboten wird. Man bezahlt eben für die tolle Lage.

Es wird mir ein ewig Rätsel bleiben warum es zu 7 verschiedene Tapas nicht eine Scheibe Brot gibt. Dies muss tatsächlich separat bestellt werden. Die Leber war hervorragend, der Rest durchschnittlich bis geschmacksneutral. Der Service von humorlos bis unfreundlich alles dabei. Bei gutem Wetter draußen sitzen und ein wenig das Leben genießen, mag hier möglich sein. Solange man keinen Hunger hat. Aber zum lecker Essen gehen wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. Hier geht man mit guter Laune rein und Kopfschüttelnd wieder raus.

Das Tapa Restaurant Empanada liegt zentral am Heppenheimer Marktplatz. Im außenbereich gibt es sehr viele Sitzgelegenheiten. Im Innenbereich gibt es sowohl im Erdgeschoss, als auch im Obergeschoss Sitzgelegenheiten. Letzteres ist, aufgrund der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein Fachwerkhaus handelt, verwinkelt und durch eine schmale, geschwunge Treppe erreichbar. Der Stil des Fachwerkhauses ist gut erhalten und wirkt gepflegt. Die Bedienung erfolgt immer freundlich und schnell. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Anzahl an Tapas, Salaten und anderen Speisen und Getränken. Das Essen schmeckt immer sehr gut und die Wartezeit zwischen Bestellung und Servierung ist meistens kurz.

Schöne Location, netter Innenbereich und der Blick über/auf den Marktplatz sieht sowieso toll aus! Feundliches Personal, das aber mit der Gästemenge überfordert war. Bestellungen wurden vergessen, bzw. wurden berechnet, obwohl sie nie unseren Tisch erreicht haben. Um Bezahlen zu können, mussten wir trotz drei verschiedener Ansprachen an unterschiediche Bedienungen 40 Minuten warten. Die Tapas waren ansprechend angerichtet, der Salat war gut, die veganen Linsengerichte zu trocken ausgebacken. Preislich wurde inzwischen enorm aufgeschlagen für Getränke und Speisen, meines Erachens aber weit über Wert für die Qualität der Speisen und des Personals.

Mitten in einem wunderschönen Marktplatz mit tollem Ambiente. Getränke sowie Essen waren Klasse und machen Lust auf mehr und Wiederholung!
