The food was good, we'll come again.

This was our second visit, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again! The lamb's lettuce was good, even though we found a little sand in it. The rump steak was delicious, and the cordon bleu, schnitzel, and game dishes were beautifully presented and tasty. The service was very friendly. The appetizer was a bit small, but a lovely touch and not something you'd expect. The bread was also fresh and crusty. Even though the prices—including for wine—are a bit higher, we'll definitely be back.

A lovely, rustic restaurant located on the edge of Heppenheim's beautiful old town. The lovingly restored establishment consistently offers excellent food and friendly service. We were very impressed by the interior design. Unfortunately, the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible, as there are a few steps leading down to them. Parking is somewhat difficult, so I think a reservation would be advisable. Overall, though, I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We waited over an hour for the food, and waited far too long for the drinks as well. There were only two people running the place, one at the bar and one in the kitchen. Absolutely unsuitable.

I went out to eat with my family on Friday evening. It was a great evening. The rump steak was delicious, cooked to perfection. The burgers and schnitzel were also highly recommended. The price/performance ratio was good too. The young man serving was very attentive and friendly. We're always happy to come back.

The food was tasty, but unfortunately the waiter was dishonest. When we asked if we could have fried potatoes with the lumberjack steak, we were offered fried potatoes for an additional charge of 2.50. When the meal was served, the salad bouquet was missing. When we asked, the waiter explained that he had served the fried potatoes as a substitute for the salad, but for an additional charge of 2.50, and that additional fried potatoes would have cost 4.50. This was not communicated in advance, and we believe it to be a pure white lie. For this reason, there was no tip and a corresponding review. Friendly and credible interaction with guests is crucial for the waiter. Otherwise, the food and atmosphere were really good.

Unfortunately not recommended. Boss very unfriendly and annoyed. Very long waiting time. Food not appropriate for the prices. Side salad costs extra again. No decorations on the ugly black plates. The child of the house also runs in between, which doesn't interest the owners at all. The only plus point: the service (employees) was very friendly. She won't last much longer either! Long waiting times in the kitchen with a waitress who doesn't understand why you complain that you are only served after 1 1/2 hours. The table next door complained about the same problem a short time later. The customer should be king. What's wrong with them? I haven't eaten such a miserable schnitzel in a long time, neither seasoned with salt nor pepper. No garnish, after all, the eye eats with it. Cooked cheese schnitzel wasn't homemade and didn't taste like anything. Instead of waiting 30-45 minutes for food, we waited 2 hours. The neighboring table also complained loudly.

We went to Herzblut to meet up for a family dinner. The restaurant is cosy, the food was tasty and the waiter was very friendly. My brother was talking to plan his birthday celebration at Herzblut. We loved it. Thank you Herzblut.

The food wasn't completely bad, but rather boring and tasteless - cooking with passion is definitely different for me. In this respect, the name of the restaurant is a difficult legacy that unfortunately cannot be lived up to with halfway average food. Afterwards I thought that I could have done it better at home on my stove. Service could be warmer and more competent, but it is still within limits. Unfortunately, this won't be our favorite restaurant.

You will find this cozy restaurant just outside the village square. The host is very friendly. We had a delicious evening meal here. Definitely recommended if you're staying in the area

The chef is simply great and fulfills all your wishes! The service staff is a real "pearl", empathetic, helpful and always interested in the well-being of the guest! The wine is in no way inferior to the food and also delights the palate. Anyone who has been here once will be happy to come back again and again!

The food was ok. For the price, the size of the burger was really good. In the end it wasn't my taste. The bread was like from the supermarket and the meat was fried a little too long, but otherwise quite ok. The fries were very tasty. What was a bit of a shame was the very long waiting time of over an hour and it was a bit difficult to make yourself known when you needed something. The atmosphere is very nice, just unfortunately on a street, but otherwise everything is fine.

We like to come here often. Current highlight: lumberjack steak with braised onions and salad!!! Is completely sufficient on hot days. If you are very hungry, you can add fries. And at the end a fresh summer spritzer 😋🍹

We discovered our passion a few months ago and have since become regular customers. The food is always delicious and prepared with sophistication, the atmosphere is great, whether inside or outside. Great, friendly and attentive service without being intrusive. It's very important to us that the ingredients are always fresh and if something runs out because we bought it fresh, there is always an alternative. Ich bin öfter zu verschiedenen Anlässen im Herzblut. Die Erfahrung ist immer die selbe. Freundliches Personal, gutes Essen und das alles zu absolut fairen Preisen. Es gibt immer wieder auch zusätzlich eine Saisonkarte ( z.B. Pfifferlinge ) zu der ohnehin ausreichend großen Speisekarte. Das Ambiente ist innen sehr schön ( alter Fachwerkbau ) und auch aussen kann man im Sommer gemütlich sitzen. Hier empfiehlt sich der kleinere von beiden Außenbereichen, da er ruhiger gelegen ist . Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Heute Abend sind wir zum zweiten Mal hierher gekommen, denn gestern war es so unglaublich schön und lecker hier, dass wir heute gleich nochmals her gekommen sind. Leider ist unser Kurzurlaub heute schon zu ende, sonst würden wir morgen wieder her kommen. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Ober war so nett. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert wirklich alles zu empfehlen. Grüße aus Franken, wir kommen ganz sicher wieder hier her.

The Herzblut is something at the outer end of Heppenheim's old town, we passed by by chance on the way to the market square because we had to park further away, that will be the case for many people who don't know the restaurant and that's a shame because the Herzblut is very good. Well-kept atmosphere with two outdoor areas, the service is quick and attentive. Everything is freshly prepared here, so it takes a while but it's definitely worth it. We had boiled cheese schnitzel with French fries and an additional side salad, that's over 23€, normal for Heppenheimer standards but already a word. The food was definitely very good, the schnitzel was tender, the cooked cheese was very good, and the fries were nice and crunchy and not so blonde. The salad was nice and fresh and well prepared, I can only recommend it.

We were passionate about it for the first time and not for the last time. Very, very tasty food! The quality of the food is great, the rump steak (ordered rare) was tender and cooked to the desired degree. The dishes are freshly prepared (this explains the waiting time in some "bad" reviews, fresh takes longer than warmed up, that's a sign of quality for me!). The service was great all round and very accommodating. Really good high quality German food. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in town for a visit. It's in a beautiful original old building.

Das Essen war gut und reichlich ☆ und auch der Service und das Ambiente laden zu weiteren Besuchen ein 🍀

Ambiente sehr uhrig fast nostalgisch, Service war recht aufmerksam, Beilagensalat tolles Dressing, Hauptgänge etwas schleppend und leider auf kalten Tellern serviert wodurch die Qualität/ Geschmack nicht so prickelnd war. Portion hätte mehr sein können ggf.Nachservice anbieten. Dessert war super lecker.

Essen spitze . Musste 2 Stunden aufs Essen warten Am 1 Weihnachten

Katastrophaler Reinfall. Längere Wartezeiten nehmen wir, besonders an Feiertagen, problemlos in Kauf. Besonders bei einer offenen Kommunikation zwischen Gästen und Wirt. Aber eine Wartezeit von 2,5 Stunden bei einer Reservierung und reduzierter Feiertagskarte sind ein gastronomisches No-Go. Ebenfalls gab es keinerlei Bestrebungen seitens des Personals dieses „Drama“ abzumildern. Leider entsprachen die dann erhaltenen Speisen nicht den ambitionierten Preisen. Ein Wiedersehen in diesem Lokal schließen wir zu 100% aus.

Schade! Wir hatten um 13 Uhr reserviert und waren 12.50 Uhr da. Getränke und Essensbestellung reibungslos. Nach über 1 3/4 Stunde kam der Salat. Eine halbe Stunde später her Hauptgang und nach 30 Minuten die Nachspeise. Leider waren meine Gnocchi versalzen. Gingen auch zurück und wurden nicht berechnet. Lammrücken und cordon Blue waren hervorragend. Der Nachtisch traumhaft. Mousse au chocolat auf einem Himbeerspiegel mit Beeren. Einfach lecker. Schade, dass es der erste Weihnachtsfeiertag war. Andere Gäste mussten fast 3 Stunden warten. Bedienungen waren sehr nett. Es gab trotz der langen Wartezeiten Trinkgeld. Hoffentlich ist der morgige Ablauf besser.

0 Sterne für dieses Weihnachtsessen. Wir haben 2 1/2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet! Wurden weder gefragt ob wir noch etwas trinken wollen noch kurz darüber informiert, dass es noch länger dauern wird. Die bestellten Steinpilzpanzerotti waren lediglich mit Käse gefüllt. Der Fisch totgebraten. Die Reaktion der Kellner sehr unprofessionell und nicht serviceorientiert. Definitiv unser letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Gäste "halten" geht anders!

Vor ein Tagen waren wir für ein Klassentreffen hier. Die bestellten Gerichte waren klasse, der Service sehr freundlich und auch geduldig, weil wir doch recht lange hier waren. Das Ambiente im Gewölbekeller ist schön. Empfehlung!

Auf Grund der guten Rezensionen hier , haben wir letzten Donnerstag für den Sonntagabend 18 Uhr einen Tisch für 4 Personen reserviert .Waren vom Ambiente sehr angetan und haben uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut , der sich nach 45 Minuten vortan änderte. Unser Nebentisch hatte inzwischen neue Gäste die inzwischen ihr Essen serviert bekamen und wir noch nicht einmal den Beilagensalat .Da der Kellner nicht reagierte , ging ich zu ihm an die Theke und habe freundlich nachfragt , ob man uns vergessen hätte .Die Antwort war , daß man bei 4 Personen mindestens 1 Stunde warten müsste. Inzwischen kamen wieder 2 Gäste an einen anderen Nebentisch und wieder bekamen sie ihr Essen vor uns , worauf wir beim bringen der Gerichte den Kellner direkt angesprochen haben . Die Antwort hat uns einen Moment die Sprache verschlagen .Er könnte mal in der Küche nachfragen , aber der Chef / Koch würde ihn rauswerfen , wenn er er jetzt damit kommen würde , die ganzen Essen vorher wären schon Schlemmerblock Gäste und die würden eh nur 1 Essen zahlen und uns müsste er schließlich 4 Gerichte kochen . Darauf hin habe ich gebeten den Chef zu sprechen, die Antwort war , gehen Sie hoch in die Küche da ist er . Der Chef kam nicht heraus , anstelle einer Frau die zuvor mit einem weinenden Kleinkind , daß uns schon leid tat da es herum lief wieder bei geholt , unter anderem auf den Tresen neben den Ausschank gesetzt wurde , heraus .Sie meinte der Kellner hätte falsch boniert. Inzwischen war es kurz vor 20 Uhr und wir baten um die Rechnung und wir nicht weiter warten würden . Das waren dann 35 Euro für die Getränke und das Lokal war nicht vollbesetzt . Als wir das Lokal verließen stand davor ein Herr zum Rauchen und hatte mit seinen Bestellungen das Gleiche .Wir gehen sehr gerne und oft Essen , so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt . Nie mehr , schade um die Lokalität ! Über so eine Antwort kann man sich nur wundern.......es würde nicht so ganz den Tatsachen entsprechen. STIMMT , ich habe einiges nicht erwähnt worüber sich auch die 2 Nebentische über dieses Verhalten dem Gast gegenüber geäußert haben . Noch nicht einmal auf meine Rezension eine Entschuldigung, aber nachdem sie nicht auf mein Bitten aus der Küche gekommen sind , wundert mich das eigentlich nicht. Fehler macht jeder einmal , allerdings sollte man dazu stehen . Mit freundlichen Grüßen von 4 nicht mehr wiederkehrende Gäste !

Ein so schlechte Erfahrung wie am gestrigen Abend habe ich allerdings noch nie gemacht. Im Restaurant gab es eine Saisonkarte mit Gänse- und Wildgerichten. Hier wurde uns direkt erklärt, dass diese Karte nicht im Schlemmerblock enthalten sei. Soweit so gut. Der Rest der Karte besteht aus Burger- und Schnitzelgerichten. Über den Nachbartisch erfuhren wir dann, dass auch die kompletten Burger (Chickenburger ausgenommen) aus sind. Bei der Bestellung fragte ich dann, ob denn ein Gericht der Saisonkarte in Kombination mit einem Schnitzel gehe, was der Kellner resolut verneinte. Die Aussage "Ich kann es Ihnen auch nochmal erklären" oder "Das hat der Chef festgelegt und wir können jetzt diskutieren oder bestellen" trugen dann nicht zur Steigerung meiner Zufriedenheit bei. Die Frage nach Aufklärung warum diese Regel so sei wurde unbeantwortet gelassen. Ich könnte vielleicht noch etwas Verständnis aufbringen, dass die Kombination aus zwei hochpreisigen Saisongerichten aus unternehmerischer Sicht schwierig sind, aber da ja in meinem Fall nur das günstigere Gericht von der sowieso schon sehr reduzierten Standardkarte auf den Schlemmerblock gegangen wäre, kann ich diese Vorgehensweise nicht nachvollziehen. Für mich ist klar, wer sich im Schlemmerblock bewerben lässt, kennt die Bedingungen auf die er sich einlässt. Ich war sehr enttäuscht und kann dieses Restaurant leider niemanden empfehlen.

Total unfreundlicher Typ an d. Theke! Meinte wohl er sei was Besseres! War wohl etwas überfordert!! Dann hatte ich f. Sonntags reserviert, per E-mail, welches auch bestätigt wurde, dann hieß es, wir würden nicht drinstehen! Sind dann in so ein Separee gebracht worden wo wir 10Min. saßen u keiner kam! Auf gut Deutsch: ein unfassbar, unfreundliches, arrogantes Auftreten! Definitiv NICHT zu empfehlen!!

Schönes gemütliches Ambiente. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der junge Mann war an diesem Tag allein zur Bedienung,trotz vollem Hause immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben sehr gut gegessen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wieder ein sehr schöner Abend, trotz angemeldeter Gesellschaft, haben wir den perfekten Zeitpunkt getroffen. Die Bediennung war super Nett und Top gelaunt, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben hier unseren 25. Hochzeitstag mit einem 4 Gänge Menü gefeiert. Wir konnten uns das Menü selbst zusammenstellen, haben aber auch super Ideen vom Koch bekommen. An dem selbst Tage war alles perfekt. Seprierter, kleiner und gemüdlicher Raum. Die Bedienung war sehr professionell und nett. Also so eine Feierlichkeit werden gerne wieder in diesem Restaurant genießen.

Wir sind zu fünft nach einer Wanderung eingekehrt, angelockt durch die bayrischen Wochen, passend zum Oktoberfest. Das Lokal liegt im Rand der Altstadt Richtung Tal, ca. 300m vom Marktplatz entfernt in einem schön restaurierten Fachwerkhaus mit schöner Innenausstattung. Sitzmöglichkeiten im Aussenbereich sind auch vorhanden. Das Essen war sehr reichlich und super lecker, so stellt man sich ein entspanntes Männerwochenende vor :-) Freundliche und kommunikative Bedienung. Es gibt auch verschiedene Aktionstage wie Burger, Mexikanischer oder Schnitzelabend.

Das Essen war sehr reichlich und super lecker, so stellt man sich ein entspanntes Männerwochenende vor :-) Freundliche und kommunikative Bedienung. Es gibt auch verschiedene Aktionstage wie Burger, Mexikanischer oder Schnitzelabend.

Erster Besuch hier über den Schlemmerblock. Es war alles als Gesamtpaket sehr positiv. Ich/wir können das "Herzblut" nur weiterempfehlen. Besonderen Dank auch für den super freundlichen und gut gelaunten Service.

Was soll ich sagen - Es war ein Genuss immer wieder gerne 👌

Lecker Essen, angenehme Atmosphäre, freundliche Bedienung, Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Donnerstag, 7.9. abends zu zweit spontan im Herzblut. Der Service war Weltklasse, freundlich und kompetent mit hervorragenden Weinempfehlungen (Steinkopf Riesling und Friedelsheim Sauvignon Blanc, später durften wir noch einen sehr guten Grauburgunder von Freiberger aus Heppenheim kosten). Gegessen haben wir einen Veggieburger und den Herzblut Burger mit 360g Fleisch, beide auch außergewöhnlich gut! Und, für einen Burger dieser Größe nicht selbstverständlich, ohne dass er sich anschließend negativ aufs schlafen ausgewirkt hätte - kenne ich von anderen Burgern dieser Größenordnung auch anders. Die als Beilage gereichten Süßkartoffel Pommes waren ebenfalls herausragend, auf die von mir dazu georderte Mayonnaise habe ich dann gerne verzichtet. Wir waren mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal im Herzblut essen, gerne wieder! :)

Nettes Restaurant, gutes Ambiente, man kann auch draußen sitzen, Bedienung war sehr nett, Essen top, war sehr lecker, man kann auch mit Karte zahlen, am WE besser Tisch vorbestellen. Zum Parken geht man am besten auf den großen Parkplatz in Heppenheim, Gebührenpflichtig. Von dort aus noch etwa 10 Minuten laufen. Gerne wieder!!!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten! De gastheer was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Wunderschönes gemütlich uriges Lokal in Heppenheim. Wir sind selten so freundlich empfangen worden. Der Service (eventuell Eigentümer) ist nicht besser und aufmerksamer umzusetzen. Ein toller gelungener Abend den wir sicher bald wiederholen werden. Die Parkplatzsituation ist schwierig aber das ist in Heppenheim Altstadt halt so. Vielen dank.

Wir waren gestern mit unseren 3 Kindern und Hund vor Ort und ich muss sagen, dass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Sehr familienfreundlich und wir haben uns ab der ersten Sekunde herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war super lecker. Kein Schnick Schnack sondern ehrliche, leckere Küche. Vor Allem die Panade und die Rahmsoße ist so lecker. Nächstes Mal werd ich auf jeden Fall den Burger probieren. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!

Netter Service , haben gut gegessen in einer sehr schönen Atmosphäre, tolle Räumlichkeiten. Parken ist allerdings ein Problem !

Wir waren mit dem Schlemmerblock dort essen, es war einfach mega. Sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!!!

The food was amazing, beautiful atmosphere, and the staff are so kind. The restaurant was full but the staff went out of their way to find a table for us. Best food we have had on our trip to Germany!
