Bistro Filou Stadtmauerkeller in Heppenheim (Bergstraße)

Selten so eine magische besondere Atmosphäre erlebt mit solch aufmerksame liebevolle und trotzdem auch sehr effizient arbeitende Kellner. Es war mehr als nur Auszeit nehmen -es war auch Seele baumeln lassen mit fantastischem Essen und sauberste Toiletten inklusive.

Schönes Restaurant, mit sowohl schönen Innenhof, tollem Keller, Gastraum sowie weiteren Plätzen auf dem Marktplatz. Es gibt eine normale Speisekarte, sowie eine Tageskarte passend zur Jahreszeit. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet und heiß gebracht. Leider haben wir auf die Zubereitung unserer Essen ca 1h gewartet, das finde ich persönlich , gerade für ein Bistro zu lange. Das Essen selber hat aber gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Des öfteren schon mit der Familie da gewesen, immer wieder toller Service und Super leckeres Essen. Eine absolute Empfehlung

Ein sehr schönes Lokal super eingerichtet, sehr sauber, superfreundliches Personal ein wunderschöner Biergarten sehr gutes Essen die Preise wie mittlerweile überall etwas hoch. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Super schönes Restaurant, wir waren schon mehrfach hier und haben unterschiedliche Speisen gegessen. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen. Das Ambiente ist schön und nett eingerichtet. Der Service ist zu jederzeit freundlich, nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat und immer geschmeckt. Egal ob ein Snack am Mittag oder auch ein vollwertiges Abendessen. Wenn man eine Portion bestellt bringen die Kellner immer sofort ein 2. Besteckset/ einen 2. Teller zum Teilen, ohne dass man danach fragt.

Das Essen in Heppenheim war einfach unglaublich! Mein Steak war super, ich musste es sogar selbst zubereiten, was echt Spaß gemacht hat! Die Kartoffeln waren auch total lecker, und die Schokoladenmousse solltet ihr euch auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen! Mmmh!

Wir haben im Keller zum Essen gesessen und Kollegen in Rente und ATZ zu verabschieden. Essen war super lecker, die Bedienung aufmerksam und schnell. Preise sind angemessen. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Wir waren zum Valentinstag da und es war voll schön! Sie hatten für den Tag dekoriert und wir hatten einen Platz unten im Gewölbekeller. Alle waren sooo freundlich zu uns, obwohl wir auch erst recht spät gegangen sind. Wir haben uns von niemanden gestresst gefühlt und hatten eine rundum gute Zeit. 😊 Danke schön dafür und auch für den guten und freundlichen Service. Das Essen war auch sehr gut, es gab eine zusätzliche Karte für den Tag, ein "Liebesbrief". Das war voll süß gemacht 😊

An Wochenenden ganztätig warme Küche - wirklich toll. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Servicekräfte sind fast alle äußerst freundlich. Das Ambiente sehr schön. Das Mousse au Chocolate ist sehr gut. Update: Leider waren mehrfach Fleischgerichte teilweise noch roh (auch Geflügel). Anderen Bewertungen zufolge ist das auch kein einzelnes Versehen. Meine Bitte an die Betreiber wäre, hier entsprechend in der Küche zu schulen. Benötigte Gartemperaturen und die Notwendigkeit des vollständigen Durchgarens gerade bei Geflügelfleisch gehören zum Einmaleins der Küche. Kerntemperaturen sollten mit einem Fleischthermometer kontrolliert werden. Rohes Geflügelfleisch stellt ein großes Gesundheitsrisiko da, bitte nehmen Sie das Thema ernst. Sowas darf nicht mehrfach in Folge passieren.

Ich gebe selten 5 Sterne bei allem aber das Filou ist es wert! Ich war bestimmt zuletzt vor 10 Jahren im Filou und es hat sich nichts am guten Essen geändert. Das Steak auf dem heißen Stein ist tip top! Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Also ich war begeistert. Weiter so! 👏

Das Kochkäse-Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war sehr lecker. Der Kochkäse war würziig, das Schnitzel und die Bratkartoffeln nicht zu fettig, wie man es von vielen anderen Restaurants kennt. Auch der Service war nicht aufdringlich und doch präsent und freundlich.

Wir feierten im Gewölbekeller einen Geburtstag und genossen sehr leckeres Essen. Für Fleischesser absolut empfehlenswert, da jedes Fleisch sagenhaft zart war. Auch mein Hund war mit und bekam ungefragt ein Schälchen mit Wasser hingestellt.

SUPER. 😊🥰 Auf unserer Rückreise nach Hause haben wir mit dem Wohnmobil in Heppenheim Halt gemacht. Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen besuchten wir das Filou am wunderschönen Marktplatz und bekamen einen tollen Platz im Gewölbekeller. Der Service war von Anfang an sehr freundlich und hat uns gut beraten. Mein Mann hatte den Gänseteller mit Knödeln und Rotkohl und war ganz begeistert. Ich hatte einen super leckeren Teller mit kleinen Röstis mit Spinat und Käse und leckerem Salat. Als Dessert gab’s Zwetschgen Crumble, auch seeehr lecker. Wir sagen Danke für einen schönen Abend mit tollem Essen und vor allem einem Super Service!!!😊👍

Super essen in einem schönen Ambiente. Man kann im Gewölbekeller sitzen oder oben. Das Essen ist einwandfrei und hochwertig. Der Preis ist fair und das Personal ist freundlich.

Es gibt simple Gerichte für den Preis von 10-15 aber es kommt auch zu 27€ für einzelne Gerichte .Eine Brunch Option wird glaube ich bis zu 12 Uhr zur Verfügung gestellt. An sich war es lecker, -Ich bestellte was veganes-die anderen die Fleisch Gerichte nahmen freuten sich auch darauf,einer meinte nur das der Speck günstig schmeckte,aber das tun die meisten Plätze -wir kommen von einen Land wo Speck Höhe Qualität hat - Der Ort ist hübscher als in den Fotos gezeigt,das Essen brauchte nicht all zu viel Zeit und das Personal war nett.-das Restaurant war auch voll aber es war garnicht so Laut.

Also ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Der Service war perfekt das Essen heiß,sehr lecker, kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Die Einrichtung im inneren ist sehr schön, Auch der tolle Innenhof hat einen richtigen Urlaubsflair. Man kann auch direkt draußen am Marktplatz sitzen und die Sonne genießen..

Sehr schön gelegen mitten auf dem historischen Marktplatz. Aussen Sitzplätze vor dem Lokal, Innenbereich sehr gemütlich. Im Innenhof sehr schnuckelig. Essen hätte heißer sein können, war aber bestimmt dem Chaos verschuldet weil alle Gäste während eines Regen Gusses nach innen gedrängt haben.

I can recommend the Bistro Filou.

We had breakfast. The selection was limited. There were only two jams, strawberry and apricot. There was no bread basket available. It was okay, but unimaginative. Too expensive for the quality.

The food and ambiance were good, but the service could be improved—long wait times, one order was forgotten. One waiter practically threw a beer mat onto our table—perhaps it was meant to be "cool," but we just found it rude.

Vi besøgte stedet 2 gange under vores ophold i Heppenheim. Første gang til en drink udendørs - det var hyggeligt, så vi bestilte bord til aftensmad samme dag. Vi valgte at sidde indenfor til aftensmaden med udsigt ud til mmarkedspladsen. God og venlig betjening og maden kom rimelig hurtig. Maden var velsmagende og veltilberedt. Der var rigelig mad - vi havde bestilt forret og hovedret, og efter vi så hovedretten fortrød vi lidt, at vi havde spist forret. Vi kan anbefale stedet.

Wow! Apart from the beautiful location of this bistro, the menu is convincing in every respect! An excellent selection of dishes on the menu (not too much, not too little, but very high quality - at first you don't know what to choose because everything sounds great!), which stands out clearly from ordinary schnitzel menus, everything is fresh and extremely attractively prepared, very friendly service - and certainly not the last visit! 5 stars for this house and clear recommendation! :)

Bei einem Sonntagsbesuch der Heppenheimer Altstadt sind wir spontan ins Filou eingekehrt. Erster Eindruck: schön rustikal und gut bürgerlich; anders, als der Name vermuten lässt. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen einen Platz ohne Renovierung. Das Lokal war gut besucht, ein gutes Zeichen. Die Karte hält für alle Geschmäcker etwas bereit und die Speisen werden, so scheint es, frisch zubereitet. Alles hat geschmeckt, der Service und das Ambiente haben gestimmt. Also gerne wieder.

Otherwise the service was very friendly. I had the rump steak with onions and fried potatoes. Unfortunately the fried potatoes and onions were drowned in oil. I couldn't eat them. Fried potatoes are also available in delicious and crispy versions but unfortunately not here, see photo. The meat was ok but nothing special for 27.90 euros. Conclusion: The food is more important to me than the service and the ambience, so this was the first and last time for me.

The “Bistro Filou” seems more like a restaurant to me, as the selection, quality and prices of the dishes are, in my opinion, far removed from a bistro. I had a roast goose for €35 and only got one leg. Far too expensive for that. We had cooked cheese and hand cheese as starters. It was great, but also a bit too expensive for the quantity. Overall, a solid restaurant, priced a bit too expensive, but probably one of the best restaurants in Heppenheim.

Had breakfast there with the family for the second time. The service was very friendly both times, the food came quickly and was good. The ambience is really nice. We found it to be a really great atmosphere, especially in the basement. All in all, highly recommended. However, you should also make a reservation.

The price is rather upscale, so we wished our rump steaks hadn't been so tough. Unfortunately the staff didn't really care. 2 beers, 2x fried potatoes and 2 tough rump steaks (chewy even though actually fried medium to perfection, how that is possible remains a mystery), without side salads for ~70€. Others can do it better and sometimes cheaper. Too bad!

Das Essen hat uns beiden sehr gut geschmeckt. Service war sehr freundlich. Wenn wir mal wieder nach Heppenheim kommen kehren wir wieder dort ein.

We went to Filou for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The atmosphere on the market square in Heppenheim is very nice, especially on a summer day when the sun begins to peek through the cloud cover in the morning and send out the first warm rays. We sat outside, although the inside and the Tuscan garden also looked very nice. The waitresses were all very friendly and my requests for changes to the order were heard and implemented (even though I thought it wouldn't be possible when I made a request, it was made possible. I thought that was great!). At breakfast itself I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the rolls. These were probably in the oven a little too long, or at least they were a bit too hard and dry (for me). Since it was the base for all the toppings (had the cheese plate), it affected the overall quality of the breakfast. Otherwise, the cheese, jam, etc. tasted delicious and we were full :) As we sat for a while, we saw the first lunches being served and I have to say, they looked delicious! Would definitely come again, but then for lunch or dinner. Try it out and let yourself be enchanted by Heppenheim's old town charm.

The inner courtyard is great to stay in even when the temperatures are slightly cooler thanks to the heaters. Very tasty food, a good selection, attractively presented and friendly service. Here you can feel comfortable!

The bistro is located on the beautiful market square in Heppenheim. The food was okay but for the price I was hoping for more from the steak. My partner had a schnitzel, some of which was unfortunately still raw. We passed this on to the service, who brought the meat back to the kitchen for "touch-ups" and then it was done but tasted dry. What a shame! In addition, the service didn't apologize and said at the very end whether it was tasty. This was not appropriate in the situation since we had already complained about the food. So price performance was not optimal.
