I was there for the first time yesterday and I have to say I really liked it. Lots of truck parking spaces and, above all, very quiet, and you have everything you need. Except for the "refrigerator" who absolutely had to do his 45 km/h overtaking maneuver next to me, even though there were plenty of spaces free 👎 But Tank & Rast can't be blamed for that! Otherwise, the restroom was clean, the staff very friendly, and for me, it's a good place to stop. I'll gladly come again! ☝️👍😉

Dirty and almost all the signs are covered up so you can hardly read anything! Furthermore, almost 80 percent of the car parking spaces are occupied by Eastern European (!!!) 2.5-ton trucks! They're not parked lengthwise, but across the spaces! This means that every 2.5-ton truck takes up 3 to 4 car parking spaces! And this situation is the same all over Germany! What hardly anyone knows is why these small trucks take up so much parking space. These smaller trucks take over deliveries from the 40-ton trucks because only the smaller ones can still access the cities at certain times to make deliveries. The drivers are only paid per trip and not for the time they spend parked! Sometimes they sit there for days!

I'm only judging by the sanitary conditions. The restrooms are new, fresh, and very clean. You can pay by card or cash. The shower is clean, fragrant, and fresh, and costs €3. The cashier is friendly and smiling.

Great charging option for electric cars

I know many rest areas and can't understand the current average of 3.9 stars for this one. It's still a rest area, but definitely one of the better ones in the country. It's one of my favorite rest areas on the A5/A7 route. No matter what day or time I arrive here, there's always plenty of parking. It's scenic and quiet. Inside, there's not the overcrowded, hectic, and loud hustle and bustle of other rest areas, but rather a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The Serways restrooms are clean and there are plenty of them. For food, there's Burger King, another snack bar, and Coffee Fellows with sandwiches, muffins, cakes, and the like. Everything inside is very clean and very spacious, and well-spaced, so people are well spread out and you can definitely enjoy some peace and quiet and relax. I'd be happy to come back.

Super friendly staff. Burger King had the best breakfast, and they took great care of my hoarseness. The coffee guys were also super nice. The restroom was spotlessly clean. Nothing smelled. This will be our standard stop from north to south and vice versa. Traveling with a caravan and without for work.

We found a large parking lot for all types of cars with wheelchair access. We visited the restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed a crunchy chicken burger with a croissant. It was delicious. There's a great playground for our little guests (see photo) and a few green areas for our four-legged friends. Plenty of seating options complete the perfect break.

This rest stop has a very large parking lot and is also very spacious inside. In addition to the obligatory Sanifair restrooms (which are clean and spacious), there's a Burger King and other food options (fries, currywurst, etc.). There's also a Coffee Fellows where you can get a decent espresso. Overall, we always enjoy stopping here.

I've been here a few times. Now the operator has changed again and the TV only shows the first and second channels, just like 40 years ago. I reported it downstairs and the staff know that the problem has only started with the new owner. Today was my last time. There are two more just a few meters away.

The rest area is very clean. There are plenty of restrooms, and they're very clean and self-cleaning. If you're hungry, you can also get something to eat there. Burger King is also located there. Unfortunately, the employee there is very unmotivated and slow, and doesn't speak German. He also forgets part of the order. Maybe they should teach him to always finish one order first. So be careful!!!

Pretty good for a one-night stay en route

Went to the toilet and bought some food. The toilet was pay-to-use, but you could use the coupon towards food. We were a family of three, each buying our own item. Got scolded because apparently only one coupon per family was allowed. Tried to explain that we paid separately, but she refused to let us use them. Really rude and bitter lady. Avoid this place!

The parking lot is spacious and has several parking spaces, large enough for one car. The area is well lit. Those who need to park are directed to the parking lot (fee: 1 EUR in cash or card (July 30, 2025, 1 EUR)). Those who want something to eat can visit Burger King. Those who are tired and don't have a bed with them can stay overnight in a motel. The small trees growing in the area are still too small to provide shade. A good thing for families with children is that there is a children's area in the area just outside the building where the Burger King, motel, and restrooms are located.

A good rest area where you can easily fill up, especially with a caravan. But if you want to park there, you only have to go to the back, where there's a barrier and you have to pay. That's a bit of a shame. The staff at the gas station are friendly and helpful.

Excellent and very well-maintained service station with motel, everything very clean, unfortunately rare in otherwise depraved Germany with its completely overpriced service stations, a real shame, until 1989 it was more bearable, but since 2014 the conditions have been unbearable!

We were there for the fireworks display, which was very spacious. The spectators were well-equipped with chairs and food, but unfortunately, we weren't. The fireworks were good, but why is there an admission charge? Grömitz on the Baltic Sea is making "Grömitz in Flames" free.

I was at the rest stop at 5 a.m. this morning and wanted to buy a special drink from Coffee Fellows. However, I was refused entry with the statement that these drinks were only available from 10 a.m. because they had to be prepared first. I was a bit speechless because I used to work at a rest stop with Coffee Fellows and I am familiar with the processes. I was not offered an additional drink. I can understand that there are times when the offerings have to be limited. But the special drinks really aren't that difficult. I wonder what happens when it's really busy here. What response will the customer get then? I am extremely disappointed. I am sorry that I overwhelmed the employee in her work (preparing for daily business) with my unusual request.

Good to score a cup of coffee. Clean toilets for which you have to go downstairs again. Nice terraces. Just pick one. Ample parking, no shade.

Nice spacious area for buses and easy accessible path for passengers. Disabled toilet immediately to the right of the entrance. Too bad there are trucks on the bus parking all the time, they probably can't read signs. People have to walk a long way because of this. Easily solved by placing a barrier I think. No digestion no p plts.

I regularly use Tank & Rast rest areas on my trips through Germany and have been consistently satisfied so far. I would particularly like to highlight the clean restrooms, which are really well-maintained and modern compared to many other rest areas. The Sanifair systems ensure order, and I think the voucher system is fair. The selection of food and drinks is also outstanding – whether you just need a quick coffee or a hot meal, there's always a suitable choice. I was also impressed by the friendliness of the staff; especially when things get busy, they remain polite and helpful. The parking lots are well signposted and offer ample space, even for larger vehicles or campers. I particularly appreciate that many rest areas also offer electric charging stations – this shows that Tank & Rast is keeping up with the times. Overall, I feel well looked after at Tank & Rast and can highly recommend the rest areas – whether for a short break or a longer stop.

The parking lot is huge, there is always space. Access from A7 from any direction. I am very pleased with the condition of the free toilet in the parking lot. New, clean. A lot of colleagues spend a break here on the weekends. Shops are 3.5 km away and there is a penny, and a road with obstacles. Things are going well with the trash cans. I recommend it.

The "upper" parking lot is supposedly only for passenger cars, but large "boars" also pack there because it is full downstairs. There are tables, there is a place to sit. The night passed peacefully
