Tanger Seafood in Bonn

We went there with 20 people without a reservation. The fish was amazing, and there was a huge variety of other seafood. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The ambiance is rather spartan, which wouldn't be a problem if the food were good. Unfortunately, the food and service were very poor. It was cold, so the waitresses kept their jackets on throughout the meal. Service was practically nonexistent. We had to fetch cutlery, menus, drinks, and glasses ourselves. The food was scandalous; appetizers and main courses were served simultaneously, so the table was so crowded that there was hardly any room to eat. Two-thirds of the food arrived cold; the prawns were cold and hadn't been deveined. Everything was under-seasoned or completely unseasoned; the tuna was overcooked, and the swordfish was dry. Because the plates weren't preheated and the room was poorly heated, we received cold fries, cold fish, and cold prawns. There was even hair on one of the fish platters. The drink selection was limited and expensive, consisting of plastic bottles from the portable refrigerator. It was a shame, because the plentiful selection of good seafood was unfortunately overcooked and under-seasoned.

I've only eaten here once so far, and I was immediately impressed. Let's start with the food: (Disclaimer: As a weightlifter, I came here to treat myself to a cheat meal after a long time.) Following the staff's recommendation, I ordered the merguez baguette with fries and tiramisu for dessert. The baguette tasted very good, but it didn't stand out from other merguez baguettes I've had. However, I appreciate that it's a reliable dish that doesn't disappoint. The fries were, in my opinion, perfectly cooked. Great texture, not too greasy, and fantastically seasoned. As someone who pays close attention to their appearance through exercise and diet, I was pleasantly surprised that they weren't overly salty. As for the ambiance, I have no complaints. You could easily imagine yourself in a beach fish restaurant in Australia. Very pleasant lighting and a cozy atmosphere that puts you in a good mood. Cleanliness and hygiene are, in my opinion, also top priorities. Finally, let's talk about my personal highlight: the service staff. What immediately stands out is that there's someone to talk to for every demographic, from young to old. I was able to share my interests with the staff and have a very enjoyable conversation. Our conversations felt like a real exchange, yet I was treated with great respect, which I gladly reciprocated. The diversity of languages ​​spoken also clearly contributed to this positive experience. In closing, I'd like to thank the entire Tanger Seafood team for this wonderful experience. I especially wish my trusted waiter, Baha, all the best in his future career and academic endeavors. I'll definitely be back, so make sure you put on a few more pounds by then, young man!

We went there for fish. We ordered a large fish platter with salad, rice, and fries. First, the table wasn't clean, so I asked them to clean it. The salad tasted awful; it wasn't even a proper Moroccan salad, it was coleslaw from Metro. The beetroot was disgusting, tasteless. The fish was fried in old oil and not grilled. The prawns tasted like rubber, no garlic flavor whatsoever. We sent the rice back because it was inedible. I'm not writing this to offend anyone, but for me, eating fish is a different experience. I usually go to Antwerp to eat there. We had to constantly ask for bread, cutlery, and for the table to be cleaned, etc. The young waiter had no idea how to provide service in a restaurant. We felt sick all evening from the fish and the old oil; I almost threw up when I got home. And we paid over €100 for this!

Overwhelmed service, unhygienic, and long wait times Our visit to Tanger Seafood was unfortunately a huge disappointment. The table was very dirty, and the server cleaned it without a word or any greeting—rude and not a good start. We then ordered and had to wait over an hour for our food, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. We ordered a seafood platter for one person and a chicken baguette with fries. The glasses were dirty, with visible lipstick stains—absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable in a restaurant. The chicken in the baguette was cold, even though the waiter had told us it was served hot. When we paid, the waiter apologized and asked if he should pass the complaint on to the kitchen, but after an hour's wait and cold food, that didn't really help. After about 30 minutes, we had to ask again ourselves because we were already feeling hypoglycemic. Only after we asked were bread and appetizers brought—not as a courtesy or compensation, but only after we asked. Overall impression: The team seemed completely overwhelmed, even though it wasn't busy. Despite the long wait, cold food, and serious hygiene issues, we paid full price. Conclusion: A complete disappointment. We do not recommend either the service or the quality.

Fish and seafood lovers will be in heaven here! Wow, I'm stuffed! I just ate here. They also have lobster, and thankfully, they don't put it in the pot alive. This restaurant is also family-friendly, and thankfully, smoking isn't allowed! They even have simple fast food for kids!

They have the most delicious kinds of fish and seafood here. You can choose which fish and how much you want from the grill and fry platters. It's not a fancy, high-end restaurant, but it's still cozy, nicely decorated, and clean. It's usually quiet during the day. It gets busier in the evenings. On Fridays, they also serve Moroccan couscous. I once vacationed in Casablanca, and the food here was the closest I could get to what I experienced there. They also have naana tea and small desserts.

The great thing is that you can put together your own platter at the fresh food counter. We were served bread with two dips beforehand. The fish and bread were super delicious and very fresh. Very tasty best restaurant for me and my family

The ambiance is okay, but the food is truly excellent. The fish platter is especially recommended – you can choose your own fish. The price of €27.90 per kilo is absolutely fair. The fish is very well breaded and fried or grilled – it tastes like it's on the beach in Italy. The fish tagine is also very tasty. We've been there twice and will definitely be back – even if it's a long way for us.

There were three of us, and it was our first time there. We really enjoyed it, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. With all due respect, it was a real disappointment! The waitress was dreamy and distracted, the food was full of oil/fat as if everything had been pickled. There were four of us there, the first course was prepared quickly, the second course was served 10 minutes later (absurd), and the remaining two courses were served when courses one and two were almost ready. That's outrageous! €6.90 for a 1-liter bottle of water is also outrageous. Taste is subjective, but we weren't satisfied with the prices, service, ambiance, or quality. But see for yourself. I love everything at Tanger Seafood. It's a bit like a vacation abroad. A feast for the senses. And the waitress always smiled at me in a friendly way. However, the path to the toilet was unlit. But it didn't bother me because the food was so delicious.

The food was very tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. The fish platter we ordered was partly to be prepared without flour, but with breadcrumbs. The waitress initially claimed that this was not possible, even though my friend has a gluten intolerance - a disrespectful attitude. Only after further questioning and pointing out that it had been served this way in the past were two fish prepared accordingly. In addition, no drinks were offered, we had to take them ourselves. The salad we ordered was the wrong one but was still supposed to be paid extra even though we had already paid. In addition, the cutlery was missing for the dips, the salad and the fish platter. When we later ordered tea, it was initially forgotten. The toilets weren't clean, the store was cold, and overall the atmosphere was uncomfortable.

We ate at Seafood for the first time today. I decided on a fish platter. At the fish counter I could choose which fish and seafood I wanted to eat. I could choose side dishes at a separate counter. In this restaurant you only see friendly and respectful staff. The plates were tastefully prepared. Unfortunately, my appetite was so big that afterwards I thought, it's a shame I didn't take a picture before I tore the plate apart :-D That probably speaks for itself. It won't be the last time we're guests there. Thanks again for the feel-good atmosphere, even if you see it as your job.

Very busy restaurant. We made a reservation and were brought straight to the table. The food was very tasty. The waitresses were nice. However, things could be a little better organizationally. The table was not completely set. Cutlery and glasses were missing. They came little by little after the food was served. Our table was then richly covered with all the food we had ordered. When the two tagines were brought to the table, the waitress simply put them down. When I removed the lids myself, it was immediately clear that there was no space to put them anywhere. So one of us went to the counter with the 2 lids to hand them to an employee. It shouldn't be like that. Unfortunately for me personally it was a bit cold in the restaurant. Otherwise everything was 👍.

We were here for the second and last time, once in summer and now in winter! I'm not sure what kind of place it is, which is why we tried it again. The first time we ate Moroccan or Turkish it was definitely interesting. Unfortunately, some dishes (such as salad) were not completely fresh or cooked for too long. In any case, the waiters didn't speak any German or English, and the star rating was definitely fake. There was no one in the restaurant at 1 p.m. and it was cold, which is why we didn't take off our coats and jackets. The fish was fresh but 2/3 breaded and fried for too long. Drinks selection limited. In any case, we won't be coming back... it's a shame and €17.50 for fish and chips was too expensive.

When I entered the restaurant there were three tables occupied, all of which had already had their food. The fish display looks appetizing. Ordering was difficult because the young man at the counter didn't speak a word of German. My special request to have lentils instead of fries was not possible, so I ordered them additionally. I paid straight away and nothing happened after that. After 30 minutes I received the lentil vegetables. After 40 minutes the fish with the fries. Luckily I had the lentils because the fries were only lukewarm. The fish was very good. The breading is so thick that you already have enough carbohydrates. The breading was super crispy. So I come to the somewhat strange verdict of 2 stars, because although the fish was very tasty, there was no service, a difficult ordering process, no option for a special request and lukewarm fries. And that with a waiting time of 40 minutes.

The toilet is very rustic and in need of renovation. Now to eat. We were given a starter of fresh bread as well as two delicious sauces and olives. The main course (fish platter) came to the table relatively quickly. Very fresh products, excellently prepared and served. The food itself was very good. Unfortunately, the salad we ordered was completely forgotten. Conclusion: Very tasty fresh cuisine that convinced me. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant.

I was very disappointed in the restaurant today. I bought two water bottles which cost €2.50 each, so a total of €5. I gave the lady €6 and expected €1 in change. Unfortunately I was instead told that I had only paid €5. When I wanted to clarify the situation and reconfirmed that I had paid €6, I was met with rudeness and disbelief. I find this reaction extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Every customer should be treated fairly and respectfully, especially when it comes to such a small but important matter.

There was tea on the house which was also very tasty. According to the owner, this is the only fish restaurant in the area.
