Our Christmas party (even though it was a while ago :)) in the Tandure restaurant was a complete success! From start to finish everything was absolutely great. The ambience was warm and festive, ideal for a celebration during the Christmas season. The food was excellent - every course was a taste surprise and the quality of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. What was particularly impressive was the attentive and friendly service, which helped everyone feel comfortable, and the appearance of a dancer who danced to oriental music and enriched the evening in a unique way. Tandure serves very tasty and authentic Turkish food. The menu also offers some vegetarian dishes. What stands out about the Çukurova Kebab is the baked eggplant with the tahini-garlic sauce in combination with the minced lamb skewer. Bulgur and bread are served with the dishes. The serving of the main course seemed very elegant. The Künefe dessert was also very tasty, but there could have been a little more mozzarella on the edge 😉 In my opinion, the prices are completely reasonable. The desserts and drinks in particular seem very inexpensive to me by today's standards. The restaurant is located in a large courtyard with parking spaces hidden behind a main road. You probably won't come across the restaurant by chance. There is still a need for optimization regarding one topic: the organization of the service. It took about 45 minutes for us to get the drinks and about 90 minutes for the food to be served. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday evening. The service was very attentive and courteous, but given the relatively long walk there were too many guests for the number of service employees. While we waited, we also received free, freshly baked bread. Furthermore, it would be more pleasant for the guests if all employees could take on all tasks. Not all employees can take and collect orders. In the end, we had even more time to talk, which is of course nice 😉 Overall, it was a nice and enjoyable evening.

A very classic Turkish restaurant that most closely resembled the food in Turkey of all the restaurants I have visited so far. Fresh delicious meat, delicious sauces, oriental ambience and very friendly staff. Next time please send a reasonable invoice and not a paper slip! 😉

Been there for the second time, absolutely great authentic dishes in a very nice atmosphere

The Tandure in Hanover has been one of the best Turkish restaurants in Germany for many years. Here you can get traditional Turkish cuisine in its original, typical form according to original recipes. Specialties from different regions of Türkiye are regularly served here. The wine list is particularly noteworthy. Rare wines from Turkish wine regions perfectly match the fine dishes of the house. Tandure remains one of my favorite restaurants. Go and see for yourself!

The Tandure restaurant is an absolute insider tip for lovers of Turkish cuisine! The dishes are authentic, prepared with great attention to detail and simply delicious. I was particularly impressed by the freshly baked bread and the traditional Turkish dishes, such as the mezze and grilled dishes. The taste and quality of the ingredients are outstanding. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere invites you to feel good. If you want to experience real Turkish cuisine, Tandure is the right place for you!

My wife and I last Monday, February 2nd 9. Had lunch here. We had good weather and sat outside. Nice service, delicious food (lamb chops), Good red wine, Turkish coffee and finally a raki Perfect! We will come again.

On a special day we decided to visit this restaurant with the family but were invariably disappointed. When we arrived at the reserved table, we sat for 30 (!) minutes without even placing an order. Waiters walk up and down our table, sometimes looking us in the eyes but not taking our orders. This shouldn't happen even on a busy Saturday evening. After one of my family had to stand up and approach the waiters, we placed our order. The drinks and soups came another 20 minutes later and the soup was extremely poorly seasoned. Cumin has absolutely no place in a traditional lentil soup like we know from Turkey (regardless of which region you come from)! Even in bulgur rice, the spice has absolutely no right to exist. Therefore, the soup and the rice did not live up to expectations in any way. We continue with the mixed grill plate, of which I have also attached a photo: in my opinion, for €26 you can expect an earthenware bowl well filled with meat. But on the contrary, the bowl was already half empty when served. It is also outrageous to use the same minced meat for the köfte and the adana. A chef cooking according to this restaurant's own high standards MUST know that the minced meat for the adana needs to be seasoned and put together differently than regular minced meat for kofta. All in all, not a recommended place to go for a nice meal. Apparently they're quite good at drinking alcohol, as there wasn't any on our table at the time of our visit.

Endless waiting time to be answered. With reservation of no importance. We also set up 2-3 tables. Accordingly, customers with reservations were neglected. Everyone eats heavily spiced with caraway. Always had to drink something after every bite. Anything but Turkish food. I felt like I was in the pub. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat straight away got up because I was there with the family + grandparents. Otherwise immediately. 6 people + 200 euros paid and no tea or Turkish coffee as a thank you (which is actually always usual).

Very tasty food and a good selection. The Adanan skewer was very tasty and well prepared. When it comes to the spicy version of the walnut salad, I have to point out that it is very spicy and not edible for everyone. Great ambience inside and outside and enough places during the week without reservations. Gladly again!

Where am I sitting today, inside or outside? Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food can be ordered or delivered if you don't have time to eat there. If you take the food with you, you will receive the food in earthenware dishes. The food tastes good and is plentiful. And there's lots of bread too.

This is THE Turk in Hanover, maybe even in Lower Saxony! It has always been in a beautiful location, between the Black Bear and the River Ihme. We've been guests there forever!

Visited again after a long time and it was just like I remembered. A very friendly welcome with a request to wait a moment. Because instead of the reserved table, an “even better” table was set in no time. The agony of choice ended with foregoing what was certainly a delicious starter on the large grill plate. So “a little bit of everyone”. A good choice. Accompanied by excellent tap Turkish beer. Well eaten and drunk with very attentive and friendly service. I think not for the last time.

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars because this review would be appropriate here. In my opinion, there are snack bars that offer much better quality for significantly better prices. Unfriendly and rude staff. Leaf blowers while staying outside, can also be done in the morning or evening when there are no guests on site. Thank you for this unique experience...

A bit difficult to find for foreigners.

I found it a bit weak in terms of taste and time.

I haven't been there for a long time, but unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly. I had a lamb skewer with grilled vegetables. Vegetables consisted of a large watery tomato, overcooked peppers, chickpeas and 1 hot pepper. The lamb skewer was swimming in fat and was dull, tough and poorly seasoned. The fresh parsley for the eyes was the best thing. A really bad meal in a restaurant for a long time. Service was ok.

Good food alone is not enough! We booked a table with a group for 7:30 p.m. Starters and main course, all the same, were also pre-ordered. After several requests, we received the starter at around 9:00 p.m. and the main course at 9:45 p.m. Waiting for 2 hours and 15 minutes is not possible. Even if the food itself was good, treating guests like that is not possible. There was a verbal apology, but not even a small compensation, like a drink or coffee, that would have bridged the long waiting time. Very poor performance of the upper cellar. Almost twenty very dissatisfied guests.

It was a wonderful evening. Attentive, very friendly service, delicious food - and for a group of 40 people à la carte - only the starter plates were pre-ordered. They came to the table quickly, as did the drinks, and the main courses followed without any problems.

Probably one of the best Anatolian restaurants in Germany. Great atmosphere with very nice staff. The starters and the mixed salad were extremely tasty, the dressing was typically Turkish with pomegranate sauce and good olive oil. The mezes were not very good and were prepared a bit in a “German style”. We liked the main courses, we ordered various kebab dishes. The portions were larger than expected. The service was really good.

The four of us were guests yesterday. We started by ordering the cold appetizer platter for all of us. I would like more seasoning for the various pastes and salsas, and the selection could also be more varied. The lamb in the main course was buttery tender. The term grill plate gave us false expectations. The waiter was a little grumpy, but otherwise we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the evening with you..

It was full and therefore very loud. The staff is nice and accommodating. A lot of garlic in all dishes, not everyone gets that... Unpleasant for me as a vegetarian: the strong smell of heavily fried meat, which also lingers in my clothes after visiting a restaurant.

Top! Best Turkish restaurant. Live in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Best service, great food. If in Hanover: Go!

After hearing so many good things about Tanduro and having the restaurant recommended to me, I was really looking forward to eating. But unfortunately I was deeply disappointed. I ordered #94 - Mediterranean vegetables with veal. The portion was tiny, the clay pot was a maximum of 12cm in diameter. The contents could just as easily have been served in a cup. Even the tomato rice and the flatbread, which had to be shared between 6 people, didn't add much to the amount of food. In addition, my dish was hardly seasoned and the sauce had an unpleasant taste. Without plenty of salt and pepper on the table, the meal would not have been edible. The others were mostly satisfied with their food, although the portion size was also criticized. Adults should grab a kebab around the corner before visiting Tanduro so that they don't have to drive home with a growling stomach. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right here at all. The music in the place is really terrible. If you have to sit right under the speaker and take it all in, there won't be enough alcohol in the whole place to have a nice drink. The staff, especially the slightly older gentleman, were not particularly friendly. If the store hadn't been completely empty, I would have put it down to hecticness or stress. This restaurant is definitely out of the question for me.

Went to Tandure with the kids this afternoon. It is simply the best Turkish restaurant in Hanover. Fresh, delicious and not run of the mill! The vegetarian dishes are also great!

Waren gestern dort, Ambiente ist wirklich toll. Wurde leider nicht satt....viel zu kleine Portionen. Die Grillplatte ist ein Witz. 5 kleine Stückchen Fleisch wovon eins zäh war. Die Vorspeisen leider auch viel zu klein. Grillplatte kostete übrigens 26€😂 Habe gestern extra kein Sport gemacht um nicht zu viel Hunger zu haben. Trotzdem hungrig raus gegangen 😔

Today I was in the tandoor again after years. The lamb (skewered and sliced) was absolutely excellent!!! The vegetables are very tasty and the salad is crispy and fresh. Great value for money!!! Recommended!!! Unfortunately the waiter apparently had a bad day, the service could be improved.

Schön eingerichtetes Lokal, in dem man im Sommer auch nett draußen mit Blick auf die Ihme sitzen kann. Bedienung super freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist mega lecker, Brot und Bulgur gibt es extra dazu. Wir waren schon mehrmals da und werden definitiv noch häufiger hingehen. Wenn wir in Hannover wohnen würden, wäre dies ein Stammlokal.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine umfangreiche Speisenkarte. Qualitativ sehr gutes Essen, eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Nettes Personal und gutes Essen, kann ich nur empfehlen

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort und es war einfach eine Enttäuschung. Die Portion so klein, dass nichtmal Soße dabei war, sondern diese extra bestellt und bezahlt werden musste. Das Hähnchenfleisch, auf das wir über 30 Minuten gewartet haben, war innen noch rosa. Fazit: ca 50€ für Magenschmerzen mit anschließendem Erbrechen ausgegeben. Von einem Besuch ist dringend abzuraten!

Im Winter wirkt das Tandure von außen nicht unbedingt einladend und auch die Parkplatzsituation ist schwierig. Dafür überzeugt das Restaurant mit seinen inneren Werten: Küche, Service, Preis-Leistung absolut top.

Wir waren jetzt zum zigsten Mal im Tandure. Zuletzt Silvester 23/24. Nach etwas längerem Warten sind wir mit einem Glas Sekt belohnt worden. Der Chef persönlich kam zu uns an den Tisch. Dann ging alles sehr schnell. Die Getränke, der Rotwein Yakut und der Rose schmecken sehr ausgewogen, dann die Vorspeise. Wieder musste es die Spezial Meze sein, einfach köstlich. Danach die Lammhaxe mit ganz leichter Pfefferminzsousse. Die Lammhaxe ist eine mit Gemüse gefüllte Rollade und das mit der Pfefferminze. Ein Traum ! Ein rundum gelungener Abend zu viert ,wobei wir unseren Hund nicht vergessen dürfen, der auch dort im Tandure sehr willkommen ist. Danke dafür. Immer wieder gerne

Das Tandure ist sicherlich das beste türkische Restaurant in Hannover. Der Service ist freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent, das Essen ist vorzüglich. Wir hatten köstliche Dorade, eine sehr gute Vorspeisen Platte, und auch unser Veganer Gast kam voll zu seinrm Recht. Note 1a!

Gutes Restaurant an sich. Nettes Personal, das Lamm ist zu empfehlen. Leider standen die Klopapierrollen vor dem Klo, was zu Problemen führte.

Ist etwas für Leute die Lamm mögen und rein türkische Küche

Typisch türkisches Restaurant mit eigenem Lehmofen. Sehr leckere van Gerichte und gebackenes Gemüse wie Auberginen und Zucchinis. Der Auberginen Auflauf mit Lamm. Gehackten ist super köstlich

Im Tandure gibt es leckere anatolische Küche, die absolut authentisch und lecker ist. Die Gerichte sind fein gewürzt, nicht übersäten und qualitativ hochwertig. Der Service ist freundlich, aber nicht immer aufmerksam. Dafür performt die Küche 1A! Ein schönes Ambiente und absolut empfehlenswert. Ich empfehle vorher zu reservieren. Parken könnt ihr hinten auf dem Hof, da ist genug Platz.

Seit langer Zeit mal wieder hier gewesen. Wir hatten es zwar in guter Erinnerung, aber das es dann so lecker war, hat uns mehr als angenehm überrascht. Auch wenn es aus Langenhagen nicht gleich um die Ecke ist; der Weg lohnt sich wirklich. Wir haben uns erst die Spezial Meze geteilt und dann Tandure Kavurma (Lammgeschnetzeltes im Lehmofen geschmort) gehabt. Es war ein Genuss. Sowohl der Apfeltee mit Minze als auch das türkische Bier haben prima dazu gepasst.

Sehr schickes Restaurant, tolles Flair. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Würde 4,5 Sterne vergeben, da die Portionen jedoch etwas klein sind. Wir sind nicht satt geworden. Toiletten sind auch sehr sauber.
