A truly fantastic restaurant here in Germany, almost like a Turkish meyhane. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and very pleasant. You can even enjoy Turkish raki here. They also offer a wide variety of main courses and accompanying meze, which I highly recommend. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, as is the staff. The food was delicious, and the raki was simply fantastic! 👌🏻 Highly recommended!

A very nice restaurant. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but the food could be better. The appetizers are delicious. However, the main course leaves something to be desired. My kebab only had a thin layer of meat on top, with bread and rice underneath. It was okay in itself, but there was so little meat that it shouldn't really be called a kebab. The liver was served very dry. Overall, the atmosphere is great, but the main courses should be prepared with more care.

Delicious Turkish restaurant with a long tradition in Hanover (since 1976). The food was the absolute highlight and deserved six stars. The ambiance is a bit dated, but I still like it. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They were still a little inexperienced, but they handled everything well with charm. So why only four stars? Exceptionally good is actually a notch higher. But everything here is still top-notch! 👍 The food is truly excellent and that's what matters here. We will be happy to come back. See you soon.

We had a wonderful evening today at the Kreuzklappe Hannover. The food was not only delicious but also of truly high quality. The ambiance also immediately won us over – you simply feel at home here. Special praise goes to the entire staff, who were so friendly and attentive. You can tell the passion they put into their work here. A restaurant you absolutely must visit!

We good the whole menu and it was delicious. Atmosphere is excellent, service was friendly and the food portion were great—as you can see from the pictures. The menu can be a bit expensive, but the experience is worth it.

Very courteous service, great ambience, nice selection of different dishes. If you don't have any problems with bones, I can only recommend the grilled mackerel with mixed iceberg lettuce. As a starter I had cold dolmadaki with dip, lemon and garnish. Delicious!

The food was okay, but if I choose rice instead of French fries as a side dish for the Adana skewer, I don't want just a handful of rice and FOUR slices of toasted bread. For just under €18 it's cheeky.

Very good starter, very finely balanced in terms of taste, followed by lamb skewers and eggplant, and finally Turkish mocha - a great end to the Hannover Messe for us, we felt very welcome - and even got bread for our breakfast. Thank you!

What immediately piqued my interest was the restaurant's unconventional name—a German name for a Turkish restaurant, which is rather unusual. Even then, it piqued my interest. The location in the old town also attracted me. The building itself has character and history, and you can feel a successful blend of Turkish and German influences. However, there was little sign of the famous Turkish hospitality. The food tasted good, but the presentation left much to be desired. Unattractive red wine stains on the walls were also noticeable, which didn't exactly create an appetizing overall impression. A little more attention to detail—be it on the plate or in the overall appearance of the restaurant—would have been appreciated.

The food (doner kebab pideli) was very good, the service was always attentive. Even though it was completely full, it was still possible to have a good time.

We ate at Kreuzklappe in Hanover and absolutely loved it! The food was consistently delicious - the fresh ingredients and perfect preparation were particularly impressive. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, you really feel welcome here as a guest. A special highlight was the dessert recommendation: Katmer – a delight! The price is a bit higher, but the quality of the food and the service absolutely justify it. Overall, a great restaurant that we would happily recommend!

First of all, it is a place where you will feel comfortable and special. We had a friendly welcome and a delicious meat meal with the chef's suggestion. I found the prices reasonable. I definitely recommend it. It was a nice experience for me.

I wanted to have a nice dinner with my guest. I got this confidence as soon as I entered the place. We chose a nice mixed (meat) menu. We had a nice dinner with a wonderful service and a professional team. It is definitely a place where you will not be embarrassed.

So the food was okay... Meat was quite dry, carelessly prepared, the kebab around the corner tastes much better and at a lower price.

The service and the ambience are very good. However, it must be mentioned that the price-performance ratio is not good. Anyone who has ever been to a Turkish restaurant in Hamburg (Schanzenviertel) will be very disappointed. The side salad scored very poorly due to its simplicity.

Das Essen ist super lecker, das Personal wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend, wir haben auch ohne reservieren immer einen Tisch bekommen, es ist meist gut besucht, heute war es sehr voll am Samstag Abend. Wir lieben das Essen und das Ambiente hier! Die Kinder werden sehr liebevoll behandelt und jeder Wunsch erfüllt! Vielen Dank an das Team, das immer bemüht ist, Bestleistung zu geben! The food is always delicious and the staff are very nice and friendly. I was here as a child and am always impressed by the restaurant. Also when it comes to the furnishings.

The food is very good. We were there during Advent. It was very full and therefore very loud. The service was good. Fast and always ready.

We waited almost 2 hours for the food. It was overcrowded, too warm and too loud. Not a nice atmosphere. The food was little, overpriced and lacking in sophistication. I cannot recommend the restaurant and will not visit it again.

Delicious food, fair prices and great service. We'd love to come back

The food is delicious and the service is very nice, but unfortunately the portion sizes are more like senior plates and I almost only had a children's plate which had a full price of €27.90 (dish no. 49). The pieces of meat were almost the size of chiken nuggets and the meat skewer was really only the size of a dice. When I asked why there were so few fries in my dish, I got another small one. Add a portion of fries. But it's a shame that you can't get enough for €27.90.

We were there today from work for the Christmas party. Service was great, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Large selection of all kinds of food. Everyone enjoyed the food and the portions were completely sufficient. Despite the place being full, it was still possible to have a good conversation. Dogs allowed. :) You can see the kofta in the picture! If you want fries, be sure to say so, otherwise you'll get rice and don't ask.

Unfortunately my reservation request for a quiet corner table was ignored, and as badly as the evening had started, So he continued. An ordered red mullet, according to the menu, was served to me with 7 baby fish, which for child protection reasons should never have ended up on our plate!

Portions too small for the price

Overlooked by many, but a place for real connoisseurs! Could be the best Turkish restaurant in all of Hanover. It's the oldest anyway and the restaurant is in a prime location (definitely recommend sitting outside). I'll be honest: if you just want to order a meat/grilled dish and want to call it "Turkish cuisine", you'd better find a kebab stand. The highlights are definitely the warm/cold mezes, which are definitely one of the best in Germany, and the fish dishes (they have fresh fish every day, which is very rare). Of course you don't have to drink, but it's always recommended for a nice evening with raki, wine or beer.

Great service, very central, great cuisine, very nice staff, friendly atmosphere, great for company celebrations or spontaneous visits. The food is Turkish oriented. A real pleasure of Turkish grill specialties. I have enjoyed being a guest of this location for years.

We recently visited the Kreuzklappe and had high hopes for the restaurant. Unfortunately we seem to have had a really bad day. The service was really very confusing, orders were mixed up or not brought at all, so that the last of us only got our food 30 minutes after us after we asked several times. That was a real shame. It was positive that they apologized to us several times. The food was overall OK, my meat was just about done, so it was really close to the limit and others in our group were happy with their food :) Who knows, maybe we really just had a bad day.

There were five of us here, two people ate fish or meat dishes and they liked it. Three of us ate vegetarian dishes (vegetables or spinach gratinated with cheese) and unfortunately that was a disappointment. The vegetables were simply sprinkled with cheese, not a bit of sauce, water collected at the bottom of the bowl, it tasted absolutely bland, only a little salted in one place. So when we were asked whether it was tasty and I made a corresponding criticism, it was only acknowledged with a regretful expression on my face. Of course we could have sent the food back straight away. But there was no vegetarian alternative for us. Only the starter plate and the dessert each get one star. Too bad, that was our last visit.

You can't complain about the taste, on the contrary it was very tasty like at mom's home. But the portions are meager/small. After eating I was hungrier than before.

The house spoke to us from the outside and we decided to eat there. We were very happy with the food, service and ambience. We felt comfortable and will stop by there again next time.

Found the cross flap by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. The food tasted great and the price was more than satisfactory. I've already seen 0815 kebab stalls that charge the same but can't even begin to keep up. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. We would be happy to come back and can fully recommend a visit.

You get the impression that you are eating in a German restaurant next to the Kreuzkirche in or near the Goldener Winkel. Instead, it is a good Turkish restaurant with exceptionally friendly service and a balanced menu. The food was very tasty. In summer, this spot in the big city has a special atmosphere and you forget the hustle and bustle of the city outside.

Habe leider das Hauptgericht vergessen zu fotografieren aber anbei unsere Vorspeise. Ich werde auf jeden Fall dort wieder hin.
